3061  Economy / Speculation / Re: Historical day bitcoin $ 10,000 on: November 29, 2017, 09:59:58 AM
I get up and see the price of bitcoin exceeded ten thousand dollars, that prediction had it for the end of December but it happened much earlier, a correction has to come.

UNTIL PRICE YOU BELIEVE THAT I LOWER IN THE CORRECTION?

No surprises here. Basically everyone said that it was going to happen before december, and so it did with 2 days to spare. Really a great thing to be achieving for bitcoin and it shows that the power of decentralization can actually result in much quicker growth than centralized entities.

It'll be written down in history books for sure for bitcoin.

Hopefully, bitcoin can keep up this performance. Adoption rates are sky high right now.
3062  Economy / Speculation / Re: $11k? Too fast or just hyped? on: November 29, 2017, 09:54:27 AM
Are you worried with the current pace of the rise in pricing of Bitcoin? Is it too fast? Are we expecting a dormant Q1 of next year? Any speculation? Share your thoughts below.

I'm not worried right now. Even if a correction does come it's going to be temporary, bitcoin's going to be shooting right up there in the 200 billion market cap region until at least the end of the year 2017.

It is rising fast, but compared to 2013 you'll see some obvious differences.

2013 is a "flash in the pan", whole thing lasted no more than 1 month, whilst this bull market's been going on for months now, nearly a year.
3063  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sportsbet.io SCAM BEWARE on: November 29, 2017, 09:51:14 AM
So basically what happened was you won both of your bets, but what sportsbet.io are offering is simply a full refund on your deposits + a 50mBTC compensation compared to an otherwise much bigger win and profit?

What evidence did they even have to accuse you of double spending in the first place?

Providing some screenshots as proof would be nice as well.
3064  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining on: November 29, 2017, 09:47:39 AM
Hi,

i am new to the topic of bitcoin and mining. I want to invest a bit of money, not much around 100$ in mining. I just want to purchase the hashrate and wait for the payouts.
I want to join a pool because it is more profitable than single mining, isnt it? Please correct me if i am wrong because i dont know anything about this topic.

I tried to join the antpool because it is the biggest one and a lot of people will become angry if the website shuts down isnt it, but i cant find a button which let me choose my hash rate, like genesis mining where i can buy packages. Thats what i want but i heard genisis mining is scam.

So my questions are:
1. I want secruity that means i dont want to invest in a scam site which goes offline in 10 years or smth.
2. Can a pool or website be prosecuted and the investors get their money back or is it hard to do so
3. is there a german forum because my english is not the best Wink

I want something like invest 100$ and get 1 bitcoin in 6 month or something like that if you know what i mean.
Can you recommend something?

Kind regards Florian

As others have said, 10000% profit in 6 months is unrealistic to expect from anything, especially cloud mining which has one of the worst track records as a profit making instrument. If you make a profit with cloud mining, you're actually one of the lucky few.

If anyone promises you these returns, then they are lying or trying to scam you.

The best thing to do is to stop thinking of investing in cloud mining altogether. Get some more funds to start with first.
3065  Economy / Reputation / Re: MORE ICOS BUMPING! Boosteriod, Arena Space and more ICO pumping!!! BAN PLEASE! on: November 29, 2017, 09:44:43 AM
Lots of this happening and recently there's been a large database of users being exposed for doing this.

Hopefully this will stop but it's probably going to continue on. It's quite obvious to catch the people doing this though because their posts will be repetitive, on the same topic, and on a daily basis for absolutely no reason.

They pay for "Promotion".
if they really want to spend their btc's on "Promotions" why not spend it the right way? Through Signature campaigns and so on? I have a suggestion for theymos, may be start selling sticky posts for X amount of BTCs for each week, So these icos can bid and stay on top for X amount of days, without doing anything shady. It will increase the forum revenue and if they are caught again doing this shit, they will be banned along with their IPs being suspended.

This would not work. Stickies are supposed to bring knowledge to newbies of the forum.
3066  Other / Archival / Re: Dear monbux on: November 29, 2017, 09:21:44 AM
What's your side of the story then? Why don't you just put it out there for all to see?

Buying trust is one of the worst things you can do, it shows that you are not actually here for the long run but rather just want trust the easy way round. Monbux seems to claim that you were trying to buy his positive trust for 0.005 BTC.

I'm sure that he has proof, if you think tha tthis is all a misunderstanding, you should definitely come out with your proof.
3067  Economy / Reputation / Re: ICO SPAMMER LIST EXPOSED --> PRANK TURNS OUT WELL on: November 29, 2017, 08:56:35 AM
Very very good.

Anyone that is investing in ICOs should not be lured into investing just because there seems to be a huge amount of users posting positive things about the project. If it is constantly getting bumped up and unless it legit has a lot of publicity, it's probably using one of these thread bumping services.

This is against the rules of the forum, and should not be tolerated.
3068  Economy / Speculation / Re: How has this year's action affected your attitude and plans? on: November 25, 2017, 03:45:25 AM
Has it made you move your cashing out price higher? Has it removed the idea of cashing out completely? Are you more of a believer than ever or more nervous than ever?

Gotta say it's all happened considerably faster than I was expecting. My plan was to stay put until 2020 and then have a think and that hasn't changed yet.

I am starting to wonder what the next bear market will look like though. It's easy to savour five figures when everything's on the up. When people can't drop that shit fast enough is when the real mettle is tested.

Definitely made me a much more resilient holder of bitcoin in my opinion. I've came from a cash out target of $5k to now $15k, and at that point i'll only cash out half of my bag. I learned this the hard way as well when i cashed out my stash at $5k only and now i'm sitting on a 60% loss basically.

The real test is when bitcoin is dropping though, it's all merry until a flash crash happens. Like when China announced that ICOs will be banned, people panicked quite a lot and price plumetted as a result. It's important to hold through these patches.
3069  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bittrex announces minimum trade size raise and other info on: November 25, 2017, 03:39:54 AM
Quote
This email is to communicate policy changes for placing orders on Bittrex.  As you know, Bittrex is committed to providing fair and efficient price discovery and these changes are designed to improve the overall trading experience on our markets.

Removing stale orders:  Effective today, Bittrex will be removing orders that are older than 28 days.  As we’ve communicated in the past, many of these orders have no reasonable expectation of being filled and clog the order books.

Raising the minimum trade size:  Within the next 2 weeks, the minimum allowable trade value for orders will go from 50,000 Satoshi to 100,000 Satoshi.  We will also require a minimum trade quantity on a per market basis.

Creating minimum tick sizes: Within the next 2 weeks, on a per market basis, we will be instituting minimum tick sizes that are based on the current price of the market.  The target is to have minimum trade sizes that are near 0.1% of the current price.  The current minimum tick size is 1 Satoshi.  For example, Ethereum trades at 0.0577 Bitcoin.  Bids and asks can only be placed in 0.0001 increments.  So the next levels allowable levels on the order book will be 0.0576 and 0.0578.

A general statement about market manipulation tactics:  Bittrex actively discourages any type of market manipulation, including pump groups.  Consistent with our terms of service, we will suspend and close any accounts engaging in this type of activity and notify the appropriate authorities.

For more details around these policy changes, see this article.  https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003004171

Thank you,

Bill Shihara
Chief Executive Officer

Personally, I've been debating moving away from bittrex before but this is the final nail in the coffin. Their restrictive verification requirements and new $8 minimum trade size I'm not a fan of. I'll be moving to a less restrictive exchange.

Well said. Bittrex has now become just another exchange that completely f***ed up their transition to becoming THE premier exchange. Previous personal favorite was poloniex but their support was so bad that everyone moved to bittrex.

Now we're seeing complaints against bittrex piling up, especially with verification issues.

Is it really worth it to stay with them, or should i move to binance or even just use shapeshift for day to day trading? I mean their rates aren't that bad even.
3070  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [AUTOBUY]🔑HideMyAss VPN Pro Retail Keys For Cheap Price🔑 on: November 25, 2017, 03:36:13 AM
Same heer, i'm wondering what the source of these keys are.

Because the price is definitely very attractive, but if they are carded then i'm definitely going to stay away from them.

You should specify this in your OP because if you get anyone into legal trouble for using a carded version of HMA then people are going to blame you for it. It's best to stay clear from anything that is even in the slightest illegal.
3071  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Pending transaction on coinbase on: November 25, 2017, 02:44:06 AM
OK I want to cry right now. I am a newbie. Purchased a bit of bitcoin on coinbase on the 15th and that was fine it got confirmed quickly . Then I tried to send it to my hardware wallet and the transaction has been pending since then! Ive just read through some posts and some people are saying that they have had a transaction pending for a while but they had given up and considered their bitcoin lost?? I have contacted coinbase support several times wih no response.   I sat at work today and could not even concentrate. Yes I understood the risks that the price of a bitcoin could decrease but to have my whole bitcoin disappear was not expected! What can I do to fix this - Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Hey man, i'm sorry that your bitcoin pruchase went so badly. Your bitcoins have not disappeared, it's just that coinbase has not sent it on the network yet. If you search "coinbase transaction pending" then you'll find a lot of hits and people having the same issues as you.

All you have to do now is be patient and wait. Coinbase's support will get back to you, but the question is when.

Fortunately bitcoin is going up it seems compared to when you purchased the bitcoin, so at least it's some profit for you.
3072  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex fees INSANELY big! on: November 25, 2017, 02:37:31 AM
I just can't belive what im seeing. This is why i don't gain anything big when trading in 20-30 USD range.
Please look at the picture.
When you BUY you get cut by 0.025% fee from Bittrex..
BUT in order to SELL you actualy need 10 USD MORE in profits to earn only 2 bucks?
Come on, please tell me what kind of joke is this? When i want to sell i need a difference at minimum 10 USD for a crypto to go up so i can literaly earn 1-2 USD!

PLEASE LOOK!THe price when i bought and the price when sell..And see how LOW the earning is!!!

https://ibb.co/cwnw8R

Well how else do you expect the exchange to make a profit? They're not running this as a charity, they have to benefit somehow from the growth and usage of their platform and they do it via charging a percentage fee on all trades.

You need to make a better percentage profit than their fees, that's all.

Otherwise, you'll get hit by those fees, no doubt.
3073  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitpetite SCAM, and they websites on: November 25, 2017, 02:32:10 AM
I've heard of this scam before, i remember it was a site which poses as some sort of mixer that also promises investors crazy high returns that are guaranteed as well. That should have been your alarm bell going off in your head right there.

Now that the site is gone, nothing you can do, frankly.

I'm sure that the admins have probably used extensive methods to cover up their trails. you should have done your research and not get greedy.
3074  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Anybody else not receiving deposits on novaexchange? (probably no scam) on: November 25, 2017, 02:29:33 AM
So first of all, I dont think this is a scam, but I dont know where else to post this and I thought if someone had troubles, they might check here. And yes i know Nova is closing.

I sent btc from bitstamp to nova.. TX has 7 confirmations already but Nova doesnt show anything, no ongoing deposit, no accounted deposit. Just wondering if anybody else has this problem and also giving a heads up that your deposit might not be there on time atm.

I received an email a while back from nova saying that they would close down and they wouldn't accept deposits anymore. But the date for the closure for all deposits is actually 11/30 so it's still 5 days away.

You should contact support about this, they are generally responsive. See if therea re anyone on chat that can help you as well.

Remember don't deposit anything after the 30th, otherwise it'll be delayed for sure.
3075  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: GERALDO IS A SCAMMER - ENTIRE SKYPE CONVO, TOOK OFF WITH 2.5 LITECOIN on: November 21, 2017, 09:59:50 AM
His twitter profile is https://twitter.com/GeraldoSpartan. This is stated publicly by himself, and you can see it on his latest posts.

It's kind of ironic because he himself told others to be safe and use localbitcoins. I really feel you man, and it always sucks to get scammed by someone that you thought could be trusted. But all part of the process in the end, everyone has to go through these things.

In future for crypto -> fiat in whatever form deals, use localbitcoins/paxful. Make sure the rep of the person is legit and they have everything verified and preferably is a company account.
3076  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitfinex wont confirm funds on: November 21, 2017, 09:50:28 AM
Has anyone else had an issue with Bitfinex holding their funds?

I had transferred in 14 zec into my exchange account and it is sitting there as unconfirmed for 7 days....

I had set the transaction fee low and realized my mistake afterwards, but now I have over a 1000 confirmations and bitfinex is showing 0.

I opened a support ticket with them a week ago, they replied saying they have acknowledged the ticket but no response after that.

https://explorer.zcha.in/transactions/a7b7207fc3858cc0ad23f46e8e9f179595130f592056aa72d6f6d31da01809be

Any idea what I can do to get my money confirmed???

I've got this issue before with a BTC deposit. It wasn't ZCash but basically what happened was i got more than enough confirmations on my deposit for it to be confirmed but after like the 2nd confirmation on my deposit the whole thing just stopped updating altogether.

If they're not replying then try reach them on twitter or other social media, hopefully they'll get to your case.

They really need to fix their confirmation feed, it's consistently delayed, even compared to poloniex/bittrex.
3077  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Thaibtc scammed me for 0.026 btc on: November 21, 2017, 08:12:23 AM
Lmao, who would even believe his story? I mean did he think that he could get away with having a sob story used by thousands of other scammers around the world that has become cliche in itself? Oh please, have some common sense.

Even if he was legitimately injured and in hospital, doesn't mean that this trade is waived off. He still owes you a miner. Unfortunately now there is probably very little you are able to do apart from hopefully him responding.

Always use a trustworthy escrow to middleman the trade.
3078  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Drops are only temporary right? on: November 19, 2017, 09:50:27 AM
I mean forks are there and if it goes over it it will increase price right?

Forks does not really impact price directly. In fact if anything theoretically it should actually decrease bitcoin's price since a portion of the funds in bitcoin are essentially transferred to another fork of bitcoin.

What really matters is the long term outlook of bitcoin.

In my opinion, that right now is very very positive. I would definitely think that all dips are only temporary, even if it lasts for 2 years or more. In the end, there will be a pump that revives the markets.
3079  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will increase to $100,000 says expert on: November 19, 2017, 09:34:15 AM
As per the report written by max keiser of RT.com. He says, the bitcoin will increase to $100,000 and only top 20 coins will remain stable.

Keiser also blames bitcoin cash for misusing bitcoin name and it is just alt coin and doesn't hold for long time.

see report here https://www.rt.com/business/410252-bitcoin-god-gift-keiser/

I wouldn't really call him an expert because he's been bullish and never bearish. It's hard to say that he is an expert when he does not give any analysis to back up his claims but rather just gets a ballpark figure and gets it out there.

Sort of reminds me of John mcafee with his 500k prediction.

Don't get me wrong - i'm a long term bull for bitcoin too. However i feel like that he's implying that BTC is going to do this overnight - which it will not. It will happen eventually, as fiat is essentially self-destructive. And by then, i doubt anyone will be using fiat valuations anymore.
3080  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin towards to $8000 on: November 19, 2017, 09:31:10 AM
Bitcoin towards to $8000, whether the exact reasons why bitcoin prices rise so fast?
What to do now, sell or keep hodling?

Keep holding. My suggestion is to even buy if you see the chance to if bitcoin drops to under $7000 at any stage this month for whatever reason. I personally think that this is going to be highly unlikely to happen, though.

But if you do have BTC, keep holding it until AT LEAST $8500 before you take your profits.

And when you do take your profits i would suggest buying at a lower level once the price retraces, and continue to hold.
