2901  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC in 2018 january on: December 30, 2017, 05:14:54 AM
In 2017 september btc price under 3000$.However it jumped to 18000$ in the begining of this month and now it around 13000$.Will it jump back to 18000$ or more in 2018 january

Bitcoin is looking bright for 2018. Maybe not January, but certainly 2018. Some might say that bitcoin is in a bubble phase, though IMO it probably isn't. But I guess all we can do is see what happens and wait it out.

We can never really exactly predict the price of bitcoin, but only make assumptions. While BTC looks a little shaky now, it will restore itself some time in the future. I see no reason to exist that bitcoin would fail so soon.
2902  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ideas on value in 2018 on: December 30, 2017, 04:26:22 AM
Alright world anyone have any thoughts on where bitcoins value will sit at going into and through 2018

I think bitcoin will certainly reach the 40K mark by the end of  2018, though that awaits to be seen. Bitcoin right now is a bit shaky, but will most likely start to go up again later on on the new year (or in the early parts of 2018)

However, it all depends on how the market portrays bitcoin as and if the transaction times/ speeds are not yet fixed, I don't think bitcoin will be going anywhere soon.

Though also for sure bitcoin is being with with FUD and whatnot. Quite sad...
2903  Economy / Reputation / Re: Petition for TheButterZone on: December 29, 2017, 12:17:42 PM
This is my PM that I should have sent to him but can't:

Just woke up. I deeply apologized for asking about not trading it in an exchange. I am asking to reconsider the red trust you gave me. It would be enough if you change it to neutral.

I just find it weird trading 50000 XRP for a dollar and it was like are you not really using an exchange for this and just trade it for a dollar.

-dillpicklechips

This does not seem too good. First off, I think its rather a 'Request' and not a 'Petition' for TheButterZone. TBZ is usually strict with his feedback and probably won't get it removed. Though for sure you have done some good for the community that I hope he takes into consideration. Hopefully you can work something out.

TBZ, how did you loose 1.8BTC on an exchange? Sorry for your loss, though I am curious as to how that happened. There are people trading a lot more BTC and most of them are fine on these exchange platforms. Naturally, P2P is the best and most reliable form of trading.
2904  Economy / Economics / Re: Best tip on saving money on: December 29, 2017, 11:51:36 AM
Hi guys! Can you share some tried and tested tricks on making the most out of your buck and also some tips on how to save money more effectively. This will be a heck of a help to our fellow users here. Thank you so much.

Easy, don't spend it Smiley

But all jokes aside, only spend your money on things you desperately need to stay alive. While this may sound drastic, what I mean is rent, (or mortgage if you are that type of person), food & water, education... etc. Open another account in your bank and/or create a wallet dedicated to savings.

How I do it is have a set goal as to the amount of money you want to save each week. I personally set that at 200$ each week and I try to achieve it every time. Don't buy food when your not hungry, etc. Just these simple things actually get you a long way.
2905  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin a good way to invest your money ? on: December 29, 2017, 11:26:58 AM
Savings in banks Deposits in banks Property investments, such as buying property (land and buildings) are then leased or resold after some time later. Gold investment, such as buying gold and then stored for the long term. May be useful in the long run. and produce a decent and satisfactory. or farming to buy sawan and gardening and planting fruits and vegetables is a very good investment. Although a little vulnerable to failure but it could not hurt to try.

Depends if you want to make quick profit or stay in it for the long term and hodl your bitcoins. The amount of juice that can be pumped out of bitcoin's price headroom is still a lot,, and still any new investments I'd deem to be highly profitable.

The only thing that is holding bitcoin back is the transaction fee(s) that you have to pay in order to send any amount of BTC to anyone. Its extremely annoying to have to spend 150 USD in fees to send 1k of BTC to a friend of mine.

if I have a lot of money I will invest in bitcoin because I believe that bitcoin is a good investment and very profitable with prices that always go up every time

Not always, there will always be competition from other alt-coins and FUD that is spread both by the community or the western media. Someone will always want bitcoin dead and they will try to do anything to achieve that.
2906  Economy / Economics / Re: When is the right time to buy bitcoin ? on: December 29, 2017, 11:22:57 AM
After the recent news re. BTC China and regulators crackdown on cryptocurrency trading, we all know which direction bitcoin and alt coins are currently heading. I wish to buy Bitcoin and Altcoin when they hit the floor, but i am unsure of when the right time is to enter?

Wow this thread was written "long ago". A lot has changed since then.

To all of you new people: The right time to buy up Bitcoin is right now, or was when BTC hit 11k during the sudden "crash". I fee as if Bitcoin will grow a lot more in terms of value over the next few months, and thats not even talking about years.

After the lightning network is to be implemented, the price of BTC will surely go up (IMO).

The best or the perfect time to buy bitcoin is when price of bitcoin goes to lowest peak value, so that you will gain high profit if you trade your bitcoin on its highest peak value.

Thank you sherlock...
2907  Economy / Reputation / Re: ATRIZ=LAUDA THE BIGGEST SCAM IN THE WORLD!!!! MORE SCAM THAN QUICKSELLER!!!!!!!! on: December 29, 2017, 07:35:58 AM
Oh my, is this forum really a breeding ground for so many idiots?

This is truly sad. Why would anyone even think about Lauda being Atriz's alt or vice versa. Now that they have Alu service's up and running, there would be no reason to use 2 alts in the same campaign (as already mentioned by others already)

The whole slapping Op with this and that is a built in feature of the forum. By what I mean is that anyone is able to do it if they wanted to.

Also, if they were alts, why would they want to draw that much attention to themselves? Just doesn't make any sense.
2908  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: December 29, 2017, 06:49:13 AM
Getting a job is not possible for everyone, not everyone has family or [friends] to help them and sometimes they will make the bad situations even worse them. If you've ever really needed money and were very desperate, than you probably know that people would let you starve to death rather than give you $5.

It's weird how people won't toss out just a few dollars to help someone in need, yet they'll spend $10000 or more on their pet that has an average life span of under 5 years.

But then again, if you give the person in need money, they'll keep coming back for it. It's a real crap shoot

Don't quite see how the title "Why people scam" ties to your OP post. People scam because they are greedy and selfish, that's it. If you have good enough knowledge about something, get a job in that particular area.

The same logic can be applied to the scammers here in the forum, mostly campaign abusers. Sad to see people do nothing but spam and shitpost all over the forum with dozens of accounts and hope to get paid for it. Theymos and other moderators should really try re-enforce the 1 account / 1 person policy. (or if there is no such policy then create one.)

Scamming has taken hold the core of the community of this forum, and can be seen in various aspects.
2909  Economy / Reputation / Re: [WTA] about the stealing of signature designs on: December 29, 2017, 06:10:58 AM
I still remember Untold getting red trust for stealing signature style from BlackMambaPH [Here Thread], the signature in the copy is the property of "Member rank".

So here I see BOON COIN stealing signature i made for INS ECOSYSTEM. So are they worth to given red trust?
If yes, please give him red trust.

Thank you before.

INS ECOSYSTEM : https://i.imgur.com/E7Plp5R.png
BOON COIN : https://i.imgur.com/loTOhOp.png

These signatures are 99.9999% sure that they are direct copies. This sort of behavior shouldn't be tolerated at all and should be harshly punished.

I know the rules on Bitcointalk state that you can't copy each others posts, but what do you think if activities like this were also included under that title? Not just posts, but creations.

So here I see BOON COIN stealing signature i made for INS ECOSYSTEM. So are they worth to given red trust?
If yes, please give him red trust.
It depends. Have you notified them in regards to plagiarized signatures (Jr. up to Full)? If the answer is yes and they don't want to take it down (even if it was made by another designer), then "Yes", they deserve a negative rating but if they had no idea that someone they hired, just copied someone else's work and decide to take it down, then the answer is "No".

IMO I don't quite think it was done by someone outside of the forum, otherwise how would they be able to verify the signatures work and etc. I hope that you receive a response from them to clear this up.
2910  Economy / Reputation / Re: REPORT CHEATING BOUNTY & AIRDROP need respon from LAUDA on: December 29, 2017, 05:59:56 AM
Why do you need a response from me? There are a lot of DT members. I'm not special in any way other than being *more active* when I have the time.

I think he addresses that directly to you as you are usually the one to neg the cheaters in the forum, though there are plenty of other DT members that also do this (No-offence to anyone).

This forum has really gone to shit with all these 3-rd world spammers and scammers who don't actually care about Bitcoin but rather see it as a source of income through cheating.

IMO, theymos should ban accounts that have log-ins of the IP address. That should take out some of these account spammers. Though for sure its not just airdrops, but rather bounties or essentially any other source of income on the forum.
2911  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: EXMO is scam on: December 28, 2017, 04:04:14 AM

Oh shit, is this true?

It would seem to be fake though there are other sites that are also reporting this news. I hope he himself and the exchange will be safe, though it may just be an attempt to turn the exchange into a scam. Owner gets kidnapped, no-one knows where he is & the exchange turns into a scam and the owner can't take any responsibility.

However, I am probably wrong (I certainly hope so)

Once again, keep contacting them with via the online chat and don't be polite, rather angry. Hopefully then they will take appropriate action.
2912  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: HitBTC withdrawal delayed for no reason - Support not answering on: December 28, 2017, 03:54:16 AM
This is the third negative feedbacks for hitbtc, I read that this an old exchange, they should not allow their reputation to drop with just a little amount, just one complaint and it's enough to ruin the reputation you build over the years.

Every exchange has already scammed a few of its customers, so there is no safe time to say: "This exchange is 100% safe".

I'd recommend trading/ withdrawing/ depositing in smaller amounts to avoid such issues, though the best thing you can do is go to their Headquarters if anything goes wrong.

Hi there,

something is very wrong with HitBTC. I withdrawed ~157k CDT Tokens and for over 4 days I see the yellow dots. The support is not answering at all . I was able to withdraw ENJ coins though.

What is very disapointing is the fact I can not even cancel the withdrawal. My money is just held and I am unable to react to the market. In the Telegram Channel from CoinDash there are several users who have the same issue.

I can not recommend HitBTC!!

HitBTC is one of the only exchanges where you don't need to verify ID to deposit, withdraw BTC or tokens in smaller accounts, ergo making this one of the most liked for these features.

Keep hitting support with your questions and try see if you can get anything out of them. Try live chat if they have it and don't be polite.
2913  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too early vs late to buy bitcoin? on: December 28, 2017, 03:36:17 AM
Naa, I think there is still a lot more juice in Bitcoin that can be used. Bitcoin can probably be used as a proper currency after this transaction fee/ waiting time BS has been fixed. Its absolutely horrendous and there is very little we can do about it.

May the lightning network come sooner! Smiley

It would be best not to simply base your decision on the price, but also the trend and news.

Agreed, but you have to be careful when you read news from the major publications online such as The New York Times, CNN and etc, as they can be loaded with a shit-ton of propaganda.
2914  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you believe BTC can dip to $8,000 or $10,000 on: December 28, 2017, 03:18:04 AM
I think we can already see that the dip has sort of settled, and that we can expect to get BTC to rise again. In the last 24 hours BTC went up to 16k, however is now down again. There is really only 2 sides to the story, 1 you believe in BTC and hold or 2 you sell and jump out.

BTC is also being hit with plenty of FUD that makes people panic and ergo pushing the value of Bitcoin down. This is why the recent crash happened. However, it may also be due to the fact that many might have sold their BTC to pay for gifts during the Christmas / New year's events.

What can I do?
$20 fee and it takes this long. So dumb.

Really need this payment to my other wallet asap. Thanks to anyone who can help Smiley

You can try free accelerators, however it already looks like its been confirmed.

The blockchain is heavily congested in recent times due to the selling and buying of BTC. The only thing you can do is pay more in fees, or pay to an accelerator. Thats about it.

I am just rooting for the lightning network to come and solve these transaction fee/time issues that are making Bitcoin look less and less appealing to be used as a currency for smaller transactions.
2916  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret selling your BTCs? on: December 28, 2017, 02:55:57 AM
Well, who wouldn't regret selling their bitcoin? I know I personally am pissed a little, though I think there is a broader picture to it than just selling/ buying and hodling bitcoins.

For most of us when we sold bitcoin, it was needed to be converted into Fiat at the time of sale for every-day spending. At least this is how it happened with me, but can differ from person to person.

Bottom-line, there is nothing you can do to change your actions in the past. Continue with your life and move on. If you still feel like BTC will go up in the future, then why not buy?
2917  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin ever be $5,000 again? on: December 28, 2017, 02:45:43 AM
I honestly do not think that bitcoin will ever reach the 5,000 mark again any time in the near future. Most of the down-side to the near crash not long ago has already dissipated, and the price is on the rise once more. (However as per the last few hours, the price has again fallen.)

IMO the best we can do is wait it out and see how the community decides the price. It can either go down or up, but we should see it rise again after the holiday season.

By the way does anyone know the exact date of the lightning network implementation? That will most certainly push the prices up again.
2918  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: exmo vs wex on: December 28, 2017, 01:35:48 AM
Guys

please advise whats the best market place to buy btc ?

i mean their withdrawal and funding policy etc
and their service

I'd stay away from exmo for the time being as it has mixed customer feedback. Buy BTC from larger exchanges such as Coinbase, Bitfinex, etc.

It also matters how much BTC you'd like to buy. All major exchanges have already been accused of scamming their customers, so you want to be careful. Though for sure major exchanges are still better than Exmo and Wex.

Customer service/ response times are also better as the exchanges get bigger, so keep that in mind.
2919  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: EXMO is scam on: December 27, 2017, 11:52:10 PM
I've personally used EXMO a few times in the recent past, though only for transactions of up to 0.2 BTC, not ~1 BTC. I too have had an issue with their extremely slow withdraw times, and it really puts you to the edge of your seat, however it all turned out well.

The second time I had to contact support because I started to get paranoid after 4 hours of waiting for the withdraw to be sent out, however their support turned out to be unresponsive and useless.

Would it be possible to cancel the withdraw and maybe withdraw in smaller increments?
2920  Economy / Reputation / Re: How to remove negative trust? (from Lauda) on: December 27, 2017, 11:47:35 PM
As you can probably see by now, there is no possible way to remove the negative trust yourself. If you could, what is the point of the trust system as it is?

Lauda is strict on account sales and the cancer behind such a business, ergo I see little to no chance in getting your account's trust back to neutral.

For the record, I think selling accounts "should" be against the rules ~

I see it the same way, however Theymos doesn't seem like he is willing to do anything about it. I think it is time this forum got an update: Trust system, new rules... etc.
