1821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GREEN, GREEN, GREEN a great color on: February 11, 2018, 01:17:00 PM
Green is always a happy color. Whenever I take a look at my portfolio and everywhere is green I beam with an irristable smile Roll Eyes
Always and always will. Even though I have a lot of hope anyway and did not even bother myself much on the situation of the market, but there is still always this sad annoying feeling when you just see red everywhere. I am not sure if I am the one, but it seriously sucks and the worst part is that as long as it is a market, it is inevitable. However, it is still always a good time to just hold more of the coins anyway and have a good profit on them when the green starts.
1822  Economy / Speculation / Re: I bought at 19k, now what? on: February 11, 2018, 08:18:49 AM
I bought 3 btc on credit for 19k about. What should I do? I am way underwater.

According to my calculations based on the Gdax exchange, BTC dropped just over 70% from the high last December.  The good news is that yesterday may have been the low for 2018 and it should rebound fairly quickly IMO.

I haven't read the comments above, but just hodL and you should be OK. Look at the longer term, like a few years from now. BTC has had some massive selloffs over the years similar to the one we just experienced. The crypto market is one of the most volatile markets around.

You may want to look into and learn basic technical analysis before investing again.
Right, and to even add to that, for someone who bought at the top, this should even be a good time to buy more at the dip for more profit in the long run because whether we like it or not, once the uptrend starts, bitcoin will go back testing the previous support turned resistance and probably break it as we hit the final one which is the present ATH before testing the new ones. The period in between all this is enough to recuperate and head on for the next run.

All the above, no one can really predict what the future holds, but if all ends up going fine and good, I really do not see how the interest can be that huge that he would not be able to pay up. Well, I am not a fan of using borrowed money to invest, most especially when there is a huge volatility risk, but would rather just use free money. So in that case, the decision is definitely in his hands.
1823  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hey guys do you think that Bitcoin price will continue decreasing ? on: February 11, 2018, 07:13:22 AM
No one can predict the future. Bitcoin user and funder hold bitcoin's future, There are some instances where the bitcoin's value may decrease but time comes that it pays back. Bitcoin may define as unstable, value may decrease but for now this some sort of unfortunate event is surely temporary and not be longer. "Patience" should be part of bitcoin user's vocabulary.
We sure cannot predict the future but we can definitely read the charts. The good thing about dips like this is that they end up taking time to breathe in fresh air, take some time to correct and then give room for an upcoming growth.

Unfortunately, not everyone usually see that which is the reason some people panic a lot and then end up making the worst mistake of their life by getting scared out.  We are going strong and that is how I am going to start perceiving it from here onward.
1824  Economy / Speculation / Re: Read this before you think to sell on: February 10, 2018, 12:07:56 PM
Here is an article that I believe will help you (for the ones who are new in the crypto world) make your head clear and think
it over. https://decentralize.today/dont-fall-for-the-hype-why-bitcoin-s-10-000-price-doesn-t-reflect-its-true-value-6b42a59fce0a

Bitcoin has overwhelmed so much, it is crazy to think that the 2018 is the end of Bitcoin. If you see the history of this coin you will realize
how much stable Bitcoin actually is.

I'd think that bitcoin is far from its ultimate peak value.

It's just that a lot of people are currently stuck in the small picture and not really caring about the long term. All they care about is short term profits, which is understandable. But this current price which is so low, is definitely not a good time to sell.

When bitcoin actually gets mass adopted all over the world, instead of it just being something of a speculative phenomenon that gets ambigious press coverage, then its intrinsic value will naturally appreciate.

To say that 2018 is the end of bitcoin is beyond dumb.

We haven't even hit $1 per satoshi  Cool
Ride on bro! Now I see someone talking Grin … However, that is going to be a huge one, and by then I am trying to picture what the market cap of bitcoin would be like if that ever happens at all anyway. I guess you must be one of the John McAfee's fans who are more than extremely bullish on bitcoin.

Just like your signature, 'bitcoin like a box of chocolate ?' that is one thing I always keep in mind, but at the end, I am still very optimistic anyway and also believe that I will never know what I am going to get, until I get it.
1825  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't worry, the market will not fall forever. on: February 10, 2018, 10:24:25 AM
I'm not at all worried about the price starting to fall because the price will not go down forever whenever it will surely go up
It is a common thing if prices in the market go up and down
There is a time the price will go down and there will be time to go up
yes hopefully the price will soon go back up to 20k or so
At least, let's blow past the downtrend line first before we start aiming for the previous ATH. One thing for sure is that I sense good news kicking in from all the media pretty soon, and this will start generating another rally for bitcoin, so we just have to stay glued and see where this leads us all. But at the end of it all, I am sure we are in for a good ride in this year, most especially after the news from the states.

I think the price is still down but not much else or maybe last year's pattern price will be repeated.
I do not think what's happening now and I'm sure the market will stabilize again.
The price may still look a little bit down now, but I am sure it won’t be long before we will see the trend change fully. This is a moment we have all waited for, so I do not see any reason why we should be bothered but rather see it as an opportunity to bag up for the journey which we are about to start, because trust me, I see a huge journey ahead of us and a very sweet one.
1826  Economy / Economics / Re: I want to invest 1000 USD into crypto on: February 10, 2018, 08:31:01 AM
Alright, let's say I have a budget of 1000 USD and I want to invest it into cryptocurrency. Is it better to buy my own setup and mine or do cloud mining or should I buy some coins directly ? What cryptocurrency might be the best for long-term profit ? I am willing to lose that money (although I would be sad ofc) but I wanna somehow start with cryptos since I believe it has got a great future.
I do not think you can even buy the latest equipment with only a thousand dollars and even if you could it will take forever to recover your money, if you are not serious about mining bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies you will be better by buying a coin directly instead of trying to mine it, and since you seem willing to take risks your best option is to invest in new altcoins or icos.
Mining is not good for every people in the cryptocurrency world because it takes a lot of money before you can successfully mine some coin in the market and i think that it is not a good business if you want fast profit and if you are not wealthy enough to wait for a very long time before you get your ROI. It is better to start trading instead of mining.
If you do not even have enough cash to put in, mining is not worth it and it is more of a very long term investment, which is even an investment that if not analyzed well can end up getting the investor frustrated and giving up.

$1000 is a small amount to get anything out of mining and unless the OP is just looking to mining some altcoins that are low and hoping that he can get the profit later on in future why he keeps running at loss and not getting anything for now, then he can go ahead, otherwise, he should just invest that cash into bitcoin and any other coins or tokens with prospect.
1827  Economy / Economics / Re: We need to do something about all the scams on: February 10, 2018, 07:40:54 AM
Wow thanks for bringing that up and now that I think about it I went in on a token similar to this one without giving it much thought. They were a well established company in real life but no blockchain experience and that was my mistake getting involved like that. Keep up the awesome work we need more heroes like you! Kiss

Usually when a well established company goes in crypto you need to raise your red flags. If a company makes money it does not need to do an ICO, especially when the founder is "billionnaire"
And that is for real, because come to think of it, why will any established company be trying to raise funds in the first place when it is already established and have a lot going for it. Moreover, most of these guys really do not have anything to offer and so called investors end up falling into their crazy pranks.

This is not a regulated environment and anything goes, it is just unfortunate that most investors do not end up doing proper digging before going ahead, and like the OP said, scams attract regulators, unfortunately, and we are close to being regulated already.
1828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Almost all Altcoins gained *against BTC* today!!! on: February 10, 2018, 05:53:46 AM
Wheel keep rolling my friend, sometimes its on top sometimes its go to down.

I dont see so much gains like you. The most coins are just doing well with bitcoin together in my eyes.. I think Bitcoin and the altcoins will see a nice hand in hand pump soon! We just have to wait a little bit more for the bigger gains!
Sure it will, and dont focus in one coin only, make your portofolio bigger, and have more coin in your wallet. Just make sure its not to much so you dont confused by it.
It is not just about having coins in your wallet. The best is to ensure that one is having good coins with prospect that has bottomed out enough and showing good bullish signs. You can have some shit coins in your wallet and unless you are lucky, you may just end up bag-holding some of them.

However, looking at the way things are turning out, we may be expecting the altcoins to start doing good anytime soon if bitcoin obviously shows sign of improvement.
1829  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think that bitcoin can reduce corruption? on: February 10, 2018, 03:54:22 AM
Of course, the crypto currency has many advantages, in particular blockhain technology, which can positively influence the state system, but I think that those people who want to take a bribe - they will take it in any way.
Corruption has always been and it will exist with or without bitcoin. Bitcoin is just a tool for payment and there is nothing so different about it that when you are using normal currency as payment method, except that it is decentralized. Most people always get it all wrong, thinking this would have an effect either positively or negatively on an already corrupted system, but no, it won't.
1830  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you wondering what's happening with bitcoin? on: February 08, 2018, 10:53:48 AM
I think it's reasonable to asked people to hold, because most of us believe that bitcoin still go up and reach more than $10000, if the experience traders encourage people to sell again then the market will crash more deeply, but I agree that people need to be more careful if they want to invest in alt, most of the alt is only being pumped  by the whale, if they want to play in alt, it's better they set the exit strategy before they start to invest
Holding is purely for investors and the thing is that a lot of people mix these two up. Someone can be both and decide to make trading decisions and buy back when the time is right, while someone without some good knowledge about the market can just decide to hold as long as they believe in such project. So, like you said, I really do not see anything bad in holding as it depends totally on the person involved.

While HODL-ing , people look at altcoins potential to grow together whenever bitcoin ready to bounce back, it's not something new , the strange thing are when people do make a brave speculation now but cut the loss sooner due panic, people nowadays wants an instant cash , it's impossible, you need a lot of time before collecting good things later as profit. It's like a scheduled crash for bitcoin but yeah no one know.
I would rather say the main problem is that people pick the wrong alts and not the one that is going to grow, with potentials but rather with one that is not even ready to pick up at all and just some whales who may be looking for gullible ones to dump on and make profit while they panic here and there selling for loss until the market gets totally drained.
1831  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: PLEASE LET ENCOURAGE THE MARKET BY START BUYING AND STOP SELLING: on: February 08, 2018, 08:52:46 AM
Just stop selling the crypto currencies, even your portion of your crypto currency will take a part in the price of that coin,if everyone is holding then it will stop the price fall further more. But we can't control anyone saying don't sell but if they don't sell now they can make good reap in future.
We have different set of people in the market, the real believers, the greedy ones who sometimes are like FOMOs and then the institution and whales who control the market. The real believers do not shake and they already understand how the market works, the FOMOs do not know anything and they are only looking for free money, once the FOMOs are there, the whales see an opportunity to play with their minds and then they rip them off.

At the end, market recovers and they start giving shitty talks that they lost a lot. Anyone who wants to buy can buy and whoever wants to sell is free, no need begging anyone as that is crap.
1832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why almost everybody suggest to hold? on: February 08, 2018, 08:18:36 AM
Because holdig will lessen or should I say no loose on your holding. When you know what coin you are trading and the price was gone low after you buy, you will just loose the capital when you sell lower. We suggest to hold in that kind of situation, because no one knows what would really happen the future, no have made it correctly to predict it.
Right. As long as you are not selling at the top, and you have gone down on a certain percentage of your holding, then there is no point selling. Just hold and over time you will see them bounce back and you can decide to sell if you wish. However, all these balls down to if you are a trader, you monitor the charts; know when to sell and when to enter a position.

A lot of people out of panic always end up losing a lot trying to sell with the feel that the market is dropping and they end up doing it at the wrong time, but with holding, you can never go wrong.
1833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can you save money while playing gambling games? on: February 08, 2018, 07:35:48 AM
Easy, I' m not addicted in gambling. I think first the important things that I need to spend my money and allocate small amount for gambling. I gamble because I want to entertain myself, if my allocate money lose, it is time to leave and spend some time for my family. And if I win, I save my winnings and come back on next day with small amount. By limiting my time and money I can manage manahe to earn and save money.
If you win, I always prefer putting it that you see it as gambling money anyway. I have seen people, who win once, then they come back expecting the same thing to happen and that which they won, they gradually keep losing it bit by bit until they lose it all and start dipping hands in their savings.

When that moment comes, you won't even know unless you just control that impulse and speak to yourself immediately. The final thing is that forget about saving when it comes to gambling, best is to just allocate certain money for it and never go past that as you have a huge chance of losing it anyway.
1834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why not play games online instead of gambling? on: February 08, 2018, 06:01:39 AM
Many but not all gamblers are claiming they gamble for fun and pass time. I was just thinking. If it is the reason why people gamble then why not play online games? There is a lot of good and challenging onlne games wherein you can interact with other people online?
Not all people do have the same interest in life or the leisure that they do seek out.Online games might be interesting for some but not all people would really jumped in the same ship. There would be always a guy who do seek out more thrill in life which would involve money and this is where gambling would take in. They do feel the thrill and at the same time they do possible earn the money.
You really do have a point there bro. We all have different opinions about things and life in general. Most times, what I may like is not what someone else may like, so at the end of the day, we just have to find something that suits us.

I have heard before about a lot of people who really do not like playing games, but when we really want to think of it, gambling too is somewhat related except for the fact that a lot can be won in the process, which I feel is the impulse that drives people into gambling anyway. So, I really feel the OP's point, the idea of saying gambling is fun, most especially online gambling, is just a cover up to console ourselves.
1835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how long you can stay without gambling? on: February 08, 2018, 04:25:33 AM
Staying without gambling is a big challenges to us, because it is a part of human being. Gambling is regarding dealing with the others, for example you are dealing for a business it is also gambling even without doing anything. All things have a risks is a part of gambling but it's up to us if we do literally gambling or not.
Yes and specially those people who have become addcited to gamblng. In fact addicted people cannot stay away for a single day from gambling, they want to play gambling daily. To me i personally addicted to gambling and i really find it to hard to stop gambling for a single day, i always manage to make myself free for playing gambling daily and never compromise to quit it for a single day.
i guess not,i can stand without gambling for life,as i am not really engaged i this kind of activity,I played gambling for fun,but if someones require me not to play i am pleased to do it with all my heart,my family dont bring us to life with gambling,my father and mother kow nothing about gambling.mei just learn from some friends but not all types i know, just a few
There’s nothing special in your saying that I can stay for the whole of my life without gambling because I am not engaged with it. It’s obvious that one thing you have never shown interest in will never affect your life even if it becomes extinct because you don’t care and you would not have to face facts of that thing. I would have been appreciating you if you would have been saying that I would stand even I am attached with it.
1836  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Can Pump again in this Month(February)? on: February 07, 2018, 05:06:07 PM
Bitcoins once made the high prices and now they are roaming within a certain range of amount. Not coming out of it nor going down. It is resisting in between these two levels but this will not last forever. It is a deep dip before a high jump as per the nature of crypto currencies. They always get down before bowing off. Good luck to the bitcoins for this month, may we see big rates.
Honestly, I always like bitcoin within this kind of range, no shit, no drained energies from FOMOs, transactions are always fast as some people are already tapped out, and then I have a long chance of loading up more. However, I am not very sure we will be seeing any huge pump at this point in time. The market will consolidate sideways for a while before the start the uptrend.

I guess the pump cannot be expected for a pretty long time. I suppose the hugest and the highest jump of BTC is behind.
Pretty long time is more like you are very certain of it. No one can tell exactly when an uptrend will ever start, but I am sure we will have some peace in the market, a lot of chance for long holders to stash up before we eventually start seeing an uptrend in the market. All this can take place for days and even weeks, so it is usually good to just wait for it.
1837  Economy / Speculation / Re: Always Look on the Bright Side of Life on: February 07, 2018, 02:49:05 PM
Oh don't be down. We had a really bright side of life to behold only two months ago and less. We all enjoyed it didn't we? Time to also enjoy this temporary drawback. I keep saying how Bitcoin continues to surprise, surpassing all my most optimistic thoughts about it on the way up, so I'm really prepared to be surprised each morning when I see how much more it manages to slip. It's a strange thing to see but it's not so dark that we should despair.

So chew on life's gristle... for Bitcoin's quite absurd and death's the final word =p
I wonder why some people always think that life is always going to be rosy and once the downside of life comes up, they end up shivering and shaking, rather than looking for the good part of the challenge and taking it for the future.

I always believe there is always some benefit or something to learn from moments like this and for the long run of it, is always a step to a greater moment.

Unfortunately, those who are always pessimistic about life will never see the bright side of things. They only end up seeing a half empty cup, rather than a half filled cup. Bitcoin is not different from this right now. As a long term holder, I believe the gap from the last ATH and the present one is long enough and the market is reaching a bottom to know this is a good time for me to keep loading up and anyone who would not like to see it that way will have themselves to blame later on.
1838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell all alts for Bitcoin while it's down? on: February 07, 2018, 11:49:44 AM
By doing this you are assuming that the rise in the bitcoin price will be able to generate enough profits for your loss in altcoins. Most altcoins are connected to bitcoins in one way or the other, so a decrease in the bitcoin price will definitely have an effect on the altcoin prices, and since altcoins are priced lower than bitcoins, the rise of bitcoin will generate more profits for investments in altcoins than bitcoins in most cases.

I don't think so because to sell our altcoin while the price is down is only bring a lost for us and although we can get our bitcoin back, the amount will be reduced than before. like what I see today when bitcoin is down, many altcoins is down too and it's mean, we cannot make any profit and if we can wait a little longer, then I think we can sell the altcoin when the price is back to increase. but maybe he prefers to sell the altcoin to get his bitcoin back than to hold his altcoin and wait until the price increase again.
Yes, the alts will bounce back pretty soon when the bearish trend with bitcoin is done, so as far as I am concerned, the best thing to do now is to hold.

Eventually, their increase anyway will be an increase in one's BTC holding, so selling for loss now, is more like selling BTC for loss into fiat. What I would just say is for the OP to make sure he is holding some potential coins capable of good growth than just some random shit coins.
1839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoint down on: February 07, 2018, 11:06:44 AM
This is because of the FUDs spreading in the internet and in the NEWS. Another reason maybe considered is that the China government already took action which may shock anyone living in China. China already implemented the total crypto ban.
FUD is just part of it, which is the tactics the whales normally use to get a good hand in the market. China governments on the other hand are just some lousy government that feels since they have the power, they can just always poke nose into everything that happens in their country while trying to frustrate their citizens. I do not see China as a problem, their noise at the end of it all will dwindle.

I do always believe, the red sign means, 'BUY US' 'BUY US'… There comes a time in the crypto life when all the market will give those who missed a previous chance another chance to stash up. Just see it as a moment of refueling before the takeoff to the moon. Look for good projects, buy more. This is just a general market correction, so you won't regret it at the end.
1840  Economy / Economics / Re: Inheriting Cryptos on: February 07, 2018, 10:01:16 AM
... If someone is to pass and not provide the access to their wallets these coins are forever lost.

Food for thought.

You are focusing on the downside. If coins are irrevocably lost that actually increases the
value of all the coins that are still in circulation. You could even view dying with your coins
as a contribution to the cause of your fellow Bitcoin holders.

There are estimations that more than 4-5 million Bitcoin are effectively lost or
unaccessible, which would imply that the actual available supply of Bitcoin is
effectively only 16M BTC instead of 21M BTC if all coins will be mined in the future.

Besides, I think that it is inevitable that methods will emerge that allow you
to safely pass on your cryptocurrency holdings to your children or your loved ones.
Lol. Please! Do you know how much some children will be cursing their dad or mum even after death now, knowing maybe they had some huge number of bitcoin stashed somewhere and not even knowing how to access it while they are just struggling to make a living when they could be living a better life ? A lot has been lost with people now, and sure it may be good for the holders, but honestly, it is not fair to the loved ones.

I once say a meme of a wife crying and saying something like 'he has a lot of money in crypto world, but I do not even know how to access them ? What if he dies ?' I want to believe this is something a lot of people in the crypto world are already having at the back of their mind already and also making moves to make sure that what they have worked all these while for will not end up being useless once they get out of this world.
