Poxa não dá pra dizer que o setor não tem demanda pq dois usuários do bitcointalk fizeram posts com 50 views, oferecendo de forma amadora vender cartões de UMA empresa (no caso o TryNinja Uber e voce Steam) e não venderam. Daí generalizar e dizer que não existe no mercado é meio demais. Qualquer supermercado que você for você enconrtra uma prateleira com mais de 20 tipos de gift cards diferentes e vendem ue. A situação dos Gift cards no Brasil está ruim... Estava já conversando com o @Paredao off-topic já em dois topicos diferentes. Resolvi criar um tópico dedicado pra isso. Concordo com você que as taxas estão altas, que sai mais barato trocar numa exchange, etc,etc. Eu só uso esses serviços por causa da rapidez e praticidade. No momento não estou usando por causa das taxas de mineração que estão absurdas. Usei até um tempo atrás e as taxas não estavam tão abusivas. Espero que eles voltem a ser como eram antes.

Mas a lógica é inversa. O Bitcoin não é vulnerável as ASICs. Nem existia ASICs quando bitcoin foi inventado. Quando a mineração foi inventada o bitcoin era minerado em CPU, nem em GPU mineravam. Daí foram descobrindo que podiam minerar com GPU e desenvolvendo um software pra fazerem isso. Posteriormente fizeram um hardwares especializados para minerar cada vez mais rápido e eficiente. O melhor que existe no momento são as ASICs, mas antes delas existiram tiveram outros hardwares tb. ASICs tb não será o ultimo e daqui a pouco inventaram algo ainda mais especializado e eficiente, ou podem ainda mudar o algoritmo. Nada impede que alguem faça um fork que fique melhor em GPUs e comecem a fazer outros hardwares especializados nesse outro algoritmo tb. |

Sadly, there is no decent desktop wallet for etehreum.
You have to use those shitful and insecure wallets such as MEW and Metamask. Those browser wallets are terrible IMO, as they are much more susceptible to attacks than desktop wallets such as electrum.
I always though how come a blockchain that doesn't even have a desktop wallet can be successful...

I mean, every single cryptocurrency besides stablecoins are pretty much volatile. Though bitcoin's volatility definitely looks like a weakness, there's nothing we can really do in this case, as it's going to take time for volatility to slow down. Remember, bitcoin is just more than a decade old, and we can't expect an asset to be "stable" in just that short of a timespan.
Fiat currencies can be volatile as well, especially in developing countries. Look at USD BRL graphic. Why don't you consider using a better wallet instead? I know this email are very annoying, and as you are "playing around" why don't you install Electrum (electrum.org)? It has many more features for you to play around, as blockchain.com lacks many features. It won't bother you anymore with emails and your coins will be much safer. |

Import your BTC private key into Exodus wallet and then sweep for BCH.
This will automatically extract your BCH from the BTC chain and return it to another account.
Several other wallets offer a similar feature.
I don't think this will work. There are many discussions about his situation around the web, in cryptocurrency related forums such as reddit, medium, stackexchange, and so on. His BCHs are not in BTC chain. His transaction is non-standard in BCH's blockchain and is not recognized by the other nodes (who will refuse to propagate it), as it is not part of the consensus rules of that blockchain. Stock markets are completely different. They're based on real-world economic activity. It may seem to some that stocks are nothing more than an "asset" with which you can "gamble" or at least save your money in. But imagine the situation if Bitcoin would take away some significant share from stock markets - this would mean that many companies could become under-financed, we would see a significant economic crisis. This won't happen. I know that some stocks are overpriced - their prices are based on expectations than on real cash flows (particularly in the tech sector) - but at the same time others are underpriced, mostly in traditional economic sectors.
Stock market's moneys can flow to and from gold, and it just did now in corona pandemia. and the same could happen to bitcoin as well. When the price of a stock falls the company do not get under-financed. Stock price is just a speculation about the future of the company, mostly based in companies' capacity to pay dividends. In a crise like corona virus, the expectation about the future of most of the companies in the world is worse than it was before. Almost every company in the world will have less profit in 2020 than in 2030, so they will pay less dividends, less people will be interested in their shares, so their price falls.... but this doesn't affect companies finances. Selling stock to buy gold and bitcoin while companies are not performing well is a common practice, which happened now in corona crisis. |

Cara, precisamos muito. Não existe nem como comprar gift cards no brasil com bitcoin. Se voce olhar, Bitrefil e Bitpay por exemplo, cobram taxas SUPER abusivas, chegando a 15 a 40%. Eu sinceramente iria adorar poder gastar meus bitcoins diretamente num gift card. Por exemplo, comprar gift cards das lojas americanas , spotfy, netflix etc diretamente com bitcoin. Infelizmente não existe como fazer isso no Brasil sem pagar 15 a 40% de taxas. Em qualquer país decente esse serviço sai até com descontos. Esse é um problema que o Bitcoin dificilmente irá resolver: As Taxas Absurdas. Vi o exemplo que você deu na sua compra no Bitrefill.
Não concordo... eu enviei pra bitpay a 1sat/byte, e eles devem querer que eu gaste a uns 400 sat/byte. Simplesmente não estão nem aí. De forma alguma Paredao. Na bitrefill eles cobram 15-40% de taxas. Eu uso a walltime e ela cobra 1,23% A bitcointrade, outra boa exchange, cobra 0.99% Voce está falando em taxas de 10 a 40 vezes maiores. Não faz o menor sentido. Eu conversei com os gringos e eles me contaram que a bitrefil no exterior vende MAIS barato do que pagando em FIAT. É coisa do Brasil mesmo, não tem nada a ver com bitcoin. Olha só: Are you paying reasonable fees? Which website do you guys suggest for stuff like spotify?? Let's base with facts that ethereum serves a bigger purpose, that's why it is the best alternative for bitcoin right now, coz bitcoin has a lot of reputation in it and that is what most of us is holding from it right now.
You think that because you don't care about decentralization. Vitalik's blockchain is not as decentralized as bitcoin. I believe that ethereum has its purpose as a world computer, however ethereum is still struggling to achieve its most basic purposes (such as oracles to make smartcontracts useful and PoS). For now, Ethereum smartcontracts serves only to make ICOs, which are most of them Scams. I don't know what bigger purpose you are talking about. Bitcoin is certainly serving a much bigger purpose: Decentralization of money, financial freedom sending move to whoever/wherever you want without authorization or verification. It is also taking power away from governments and giving it to individuals. Ethereum cannot do that, because ethereum is basically a company. It is more robust because it is somehow decentralized, but there is still a lot of centralization around vitalik. it is not scalable. in fact the scaling of ethereum is 10 times worse than bitcoin. we also saw extremely high fees in etherum network during 2017 ICO scam craze.

Bitpay não permite personalizar taxas de transferência. Tentei comprar um Spotify premium com 19 reais (custa 17) e não consegui por causa das taxas de mineração... ele nem fala o preço final, só fala q meu $ é insuficiente (senod que transferi pra eles a 1 sat/byte....)
Isso acontece por que o Bitpay força o uso do payment protocol (bip70) para a compra de produtos por seu gateway. Porém tem como "burlar" esse requerimento e enviar os BTC diretamente utilizando DeBitpay[1], que obtem o endereço de pagamento e valor em BTC simulando um request oriundo de uma wallet para os servidores do Bitpay.
