- So how does a transaction get confirmed ?
Each transaction has a size (in bytes) and a block has a limited size. When you make a transaction you define (or your wallet defines) the fee per byte you are willing to pay. Your transaction will be broadcast to all nodes and will be waiting in the MEMPOOL to enter in the next block. However, the mempool has unlimited size while a block has a limited size of 1 mb. So, transactions from the mempool who pays a higher fee per byte will go to the next block first. For example, if you pay 2 satoshis per byte (2 sat/byte) and there are thousands of transactions of 150 sat/byte, you won't get into the next block. Every 10 minutes or so a block is mined and some transactions from the mempool get into that block. The miner who mines it chooses the best paying transactions (as he collects the fees) and the cheaper ones will be waiting for the next block. Once your transaction gets into a block it get its first confirmation. When the next block comes your transaction get 2 confirmations. Confirmation is the number of blocks subsequent to the block it was inserted into. |

I quickly made some rough calculations : $20/week x 4 weeks x 12 months = $960 per year x 5 years = $4800 spend on buying Diamonds for that game.
That is exactly how we should calculate the price of things in life. How much does your 1 usd everyday coffee after lunch costs in 10 years?? 1x5x4x12x10 = 2400. This is an interesting perspective on how we should make our budget and decide how much we really want to pay for entertainment, coffee, and so on. Ofc it is important to buy a coffee or spend money in entertainment, but we really should know how much we are spending. Personally, I would sell all those shitcoins as fast as possible as you are still in profit.
The only one which I would hold there is Ethereum.

What makes Cryptocurrencies valuable? It is not the speed, it not the scalability, it is no the transaction fee, it is not the hype.
Imo, Freedom and decentralization are the two main purposes of cryptocurrencies. Which coins in your list offer that? Only Ethereum.
The most relevant cryptocurrency is not even in your portfolio, which is Bitcoin.

The user should write patiently without spamming "Reserved". If he can't follow the requirements of his signature campaign, he shouldn't be in it in the first place.
What I am saying is that this behavior most likely have nothing to do with signature campaigns requirements, that's all. Probably other reasons, such as reserving a top spot in topic for more visibility or something like that.. |

I am talking about the best starter exchanges for a new project with a limited amount of funding available.
I am looking for a list of Top 5 best exchanges for real projects, starting from the smallest (cheapest), but with decent user base and volume.
Can you name any?
A real and good project do not seek for exchanges. Exchanges look for them. If your project needs to pay to be listed, you are doing something wrong. Focus on development of your projects and exchanges will look for you. Just take a look at all successful projects out there. Most didn't hype , were available in few exchanges in the beginning and so on. |

This is not the first time that I saw one member having this kind of method, I reported it last month but I can't remember the user name, but thanks to LoyceV, we have proof that some members are using this trick.
It might be the user has many accounts and due to time constraints that he/she might not get the needed post count for his bounty at the end of the week, he simply put "reserve" in a hurry and then obviously come back to edit and put his supposedly thoughts about the discussion.
Just saw my name in this list and came to say hello. I know I am not the case of this tricky, as many other users on the list such as nullius and Rose777 and other legit users here which are also on the list and not doing any tricky. Personally, I never thought of using "Reserve" to tricky a campaign. There are many reasons someone might want to "reserve" a post. And is that really a problem if a user uses this "tricky", writing "reserve" and edit it a few hours or days later? The post will be printed for eternity and the "reserve" only for a limited time... I think it may be good if the user can write it patiently and improve its quality. Just my 2cc |

Parece que o valor do dólar em relação ao real deu uma estabilizada nesta última semana. Mas com tantas bobagens que nosso "mandatário-mor" anda fazendo, não sei não se não vai voltar a disparar. A foto de hoje montado em um cavalo....
O dolar deu uma acalmada quando as chances do impeachment reduzirem, bateu até esses 5.36 que o alexrossi falou.. Gostando dele ou não (acho que muito poucos gostam), um pouco de estabilidade no país faz o dolar cair kkk Sobre a previsão, o Banco Central faz uma pesquisa perguntando para vários bancos e analistas do mercado o que eles esperam para alguns indicadores da economia. Toda segunda feira sai uma previsão (sempre errada, mas é o que tem ne) Essa é a da semana passada:  Podemos ver aqui que estão prevendo o USD BRL a 5,28 no final de 2020, R$ 5,03 em 2021 e 4,80 em 2022. |

Recentemente eu trouxe um computador do exterior, foi bem tranquilo.
Foi um notebook, e eu fui informado de que todo mundo pode trazer 1 notebook em uma viagem. Na epoca o dolar estava em torno de R$ 3,70 e mesmo assim estava no limite de não valer a pena.
Não foi grande negócio comprar na Amazon. Como tem mais opcões lá fora eu pude comprar algo exatamente como eu queria e ligeiramente mais barato (uns 10 a 20%).
Será que uma placa dessas não poderia entrar numa cota dessas de uso pessoal? Afinal sao equipamentos pra jogar videogame, teoricamente.

Airdrops eu considero perda de tempo, exceto por um outro muito localizado de uma empresa grande ou uma empresa nova que surge. Mas airdrop de tokens novos, acho lixo. As vezes aparece algo que voce como holder de BTC pode ganhar, como assinando um ednereco ou algo do tipo.

All those wallets you mentioned probably have the feature to create a new address. Just click in New account. Personally, I use metamask just click those buttons (Create New Account) and you will receive a fresh new address that share the same seed with your other address.  |

Os tokens Stablecoins apesar da baixa rentabilidade, permite que eu os guarde em uma Trezor ou coisa do tipo e suja das garras do governo, sem que eu tenha que comprar algum ETF que obviamente seria confiscado.

Eu não vejo muitos problemas legais, embora eu não seja nenhum especialista.
Ex: Uma célula terrorista pode ter 1 bilhão em USDT.. UE, pode ter um bilhão em Bitcoin também. Terrorismo não é uma exclusividade do usdt, ou usdc , ou usd, ou brl ou cash ou qq outra moeda |

Acredito que esse é o caminho natural, com as stables você tem várias vantagens que o BTC tem: privacidade, 24/7, transferências em poucos minutos independente do local de envio/recebimento, txs imutáveis, etc.. e como o @Paredao falou, exchanges em todo lugar do mundo já estão trabalhando com tais moedas..
Isso faz sentido, mas acho que só acontecerá se tiver uma diversificação maior e de empresas de maior credibilidade. Meu sonho seria poder comprar ouro, prata, etfs etc por meio de stable coins lastreadas nesses ativos. Em instituicoes como as da bolsa (nao estou falando dessas stable coins de ouro, por favor, botar dinherio nisso é coisa de maluco, não tem nem uma coinbase ou bitfnex por tras). Por exemplo uma blackrock or JP Morgan da vida. Acredito que daqui a uns anos isso pode ser possível. Seria o fim das corretoras tradicionais como a XP, Easynvest etc que são apenas custodiantes que cobram taxas gigantes para podermos negociar num balcao da bolsa. A grande diferença é que tal dinheiro, com sorte, está em um banco.. e sem sorte, não existem  sinceramente não sei como o governo americano ainda não meteu o dedo nessas moedas para tentar barrá-las.. Eu não vejo muitos problemas legais, embora eu não seja nenhum especialista. É uma empresa privada emitindo títulos de divida a juros zero. É muito comum as empresas fazerem isso (CDBs, debentures, CRA, CRI), mas sempre os juros são muito altos por conta dos riscos. Além de exigirem uma enorme papelada por parte da empresa pra emissão (pra empresa não fugir com o dinheiro dos outros, coisas que nao tem pra stable coins) |

It is used just as a currency to pay for processing power in the network. It fuel transactions of tokens and dapps, which run smartcontracts. It is the currency used to pay the processing power of this "world computer". Its value comes from the high demand for that processing power. But in case of latter, i.e. pegged money, there is no direct utility involved. Suppose I create two Ethereum tokens and name them WebbyCoin (WBC) and WebbyStabCoin (WBSC). I keep the supply equals to 10 million for both of them. Now I try paying you 5 million units of WebbyCoin for a freelancing work, would you accept it? No, right? Then I keep $10 million in my bank account, make the bank account public and tell everyone that these $10 millions represent the value of my WebbyStabCoin. IF you possess WBSC, you actually have share in this $10M. Now, you will gladly accept payment in WBSC. But it doesn't mean WBSC has any value, the value is just representation of $10M that I kept in bank account. If I withdraw money from bank, WBSC's value will instantly become zero.
I don't agree with any of that. If you say your newly created token is pegged to your bank account it will still be worthing zero, because no one trusts you. You can at any time withdrawal all your money from that bank account and pay no one. Stable coins is simple put just a private debt. You decide to lend money to Bitfinex or Coinbase because you trust them. In return, you receive a token which they promise to pay back 1usd for each at any time. Many people around the world trust them, this is why there are nearly 9 billion USD already borrowed to Bitfinex. It is valuable because of its high market cap, issuer credibility, and so on. If you say you will pay back 1 usd for each WBSC, probably nobody will buy it for more than 0.01 usd. At least I wouldn't. Your coin would still be worhtless no matter how much you promise because you need to have a minimum credibility to ask for someone else's money. Just my 2cc. but if it's about a deflationary model like Bitcoin.

Já o token da Coinbase, além dos constantes relatórios que o sabota apontou e até o respaldo de holdings tão voluptuosos nas cold wallets como indiquei acima (e isso olhando apenas para o BTC), seu volume tem crescido muito nos últimos meses, chegando até a atingir também a casa dos bilhões/dia em algumas oportunidades. A abertura de novos mercados possivelmente deverá levá-lo a encostar cada vez mais no Tether e, espero, ultrapassá-lo! Ou que isso soe ao menos como um alerta para que a transparência devida seja adotada pela Bitifinex  Ultrapassa-lo? Daí teriamos nas top 5 criptmoedas 2 stable coins. 1 BTC 2 ETH 3 XRP 4 USDC 5 USDT Seriam 3 das top5 ligadas a bancos ou instituicoes financeiras. Acredito que o mais saudavel seria que o USDT fosse perdendo mercado e caisse, indo la pra baixo dos top 20 junto ou atras do USDC rsrs |

Coinomi is also closed source.... if it is a problem for OP, he really should avoid mobile wallets for altcoins imo. This problem with coinomi only happened in desktop version, which is not the case of the OP. I read this a few time ago, and this "critical vulnerability" probably never happened and it happened only in desktop version (which is not OP case) Hi bitmover, the desktop issue you mentioned was fixed immediately, but it was concluded that no user lost funds due to it as it could not have been exploited. I like coinomi and I have no problems with it, but I would never trust more than the price of my smartphone in a mobile wallet. |
