demand for GPU rigs has really taken a hit i take it

Yeah. I'm in the same boat- can't sell a 3.5 mh/s rig for $1500 when it's only making $5-$6 a day.  Sad
1502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every Bitcoin User Seeing This, Please Read!!!!! on: April 22, 2014, 04:57:37 AM
You probably wrote all of that just so it doesn't look like a typical begging post.
No, you're not getting anything from my stash.

That's what I thought.
1503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do if... on: April 21, 2014, 10:22:41 PM

Change in 2k.
Keep the rest until btc has been adopted worldwide...or is worthless Cheesy
1504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maidsafe on: April 21, 2014, 10:19:42 PM
How come nobody's talking about this?
Looks like one of the most innovative uses of
the blockchain concept since bitcoin itself. After
all it's it just about the money ;-)

I do not know of what you are speaking.
Please, explain.
1505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING: PAYPAL STARTED MASSIVE ACCOUNT BAN ON ANYTHING BITCOIN RELATED on: April 21, 2014, 10:19:00 PM
PayPal is also a wallet...

They find BitCoin to be a threat to them because they think BitCoin is the same thing they're doing, so anti-competition measures.
Yes, and it's in their terms of use, of course it's to avoid competition.

They can't be blamed for not wanting competition.
But those of us that support btc and want to see mass future adoption will not support Paypal.
Such is business.
1506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptsy now offering shares in mining contracts. MN1. Question on: April 19, 2014, 10:08:56 PM
The price has almost doubled since it started.
Not quite double, but for all of those that bought during the initial sale, they'll be making .55 BTC per share plus whatever their shares have brought in so far. Which isn't all that bad. (In full disclosure, I sold quite a bit of mine at .025, but I'm at the point now where the "dividends" plus shares I sold are now equal to what I initially put in. It's kinda like got those shares for "free" and every "dividend" that is get is just extra icing on the cake.)

I can't recommend buying shares at this moment though. It's hard to convince me that the amount that can be gotten is worth the risk.

I'd agree with that. I bought in 20 of the initial shares and sold them all off after 3 days for a decent profit. I just don't see them making a positive ROI if holding onto them long term.

Whats the currently price? i would like buy more

Where did you buy it before? Why not go back there to find the price?
1508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WorldCoin WDC | The Global Digital Currency on: April 18, 2014, 03:23:55 AM
I bought at very high price. My loss is huge sadly. Undecided

So buy significantly more at this lower price and it brings your net cost per wdc down.
1509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [WTS] DOGECOIN Accept Neteller / Paypal on: April 13, 2014, 06:37:26 AM
She is a sammer. After i send 300 USD from PayPal, she just disappeared, and didn't send me coins. Anyone to trade with her should be careful and not send first. She is just a SOB.

That's stupid, just a waste of time. Paypal will reverse the charges.
1510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptsy now offering shares in mining contracts. MN1. Question on: April 13, 2014, 06:35:27 AM
Intresting development, looks like a lifetime contract. Ill buy some but i dont expect to make much profit unless btc diff drops

I bought a few, as well. The lifetime contract did it.
Nice first 2 payouts...I think. Well, I guess I don't really know...I've never mined btc, so don't know what is nice or not. But, I think it was good for what I paid thus far.
1511  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling an Asus 280x for $100 in BTC (first to PM me about it gets it) on: April 12, 2014, 11:45:20 PM
I got a PM reply from him.

It was already sold to someone else.

Who bought it? Please speak up. I find it odd that he wouldn't take an offer 20% higher from someone trusted.

Too many red flags.  I have left negative trust which I can remove if he provides proof this card was sold.

It seems like a scam to me as well, particularly since he never replied to my questions about escrow (which were sent last night, both in this thread and in PM) and he said that it was still available earlier today. Too good to be true, I suppose.

Pretty obvious scam... Undecided

1515  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Need hosting for my 3x Cointerra IV machines. 60-90 day mine on: April 06, 2014, 08:16:44 AM
Hey,
I'm looking for a trusted member in the US to host 2 or 3 of my Cointerra IVs rigs.
Will pay for electricity and rent, or give a portion of the mining profits-- all negotiable.

I only plan on running the machines for 60-90 days.

Mid-west preferred!

When?
1516  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: eBay Chargebacks Hurt Bitcoin on: April 06, 2014, 07:20:13 AM
Just avoid Ebay/Paypal, their fees are ridiculous anyway.

Their Fees have gotten out of hand!
I started on Ebay in 2006, fees were acceptable, I was able to unload many thins I no longer needed and make a few dollars.
Now, selling unneeded items no longer needs will barely pay for the postage after Ebay and Paypal bends me over.
1517  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the no 1 site for buying Bitcoin? on: April 06, 2014, 07:13:06 AM

At this point, I'd say Coinbase. Not only a top exchange, but also a strong promoter of btc...willing to broker large and small deals to bring bitcoin into more businesses, etc.

ATX can't keep that silver on earthazaar,  I'm suspect its the same buyers (me included), no prob with that,  but EAC to silver is one of the biggest things going for us.  It would be good if the silver could stay listed for more than a few hours, maybe auctions with a reserve would be a better idea to keep traffic going to earthazaar, also if the auction is listed for a few days we could post on reddit or elsewhere to attract new interest and show that people are selling precious metal for EAC, if no one knows about it, its impact isn't as significant. any thoughts?

I thought of that earlier. He listed a couple silver rounds on there. I decided to only buy one of them to hopefully let others see it on there and be more likely to check the site more often.
Also, I listed some computer parts (risers and a power supply box). Instead of going to eBay, I will give earthazaar the first crack.
The more of us to do this, the bigger the site gets! The bigger the site gets, the more useful Earthcoin is...great cycle.

My take right now is we are seeing allot of larger EAC sales, due to last weeks pump, I think we had  some new buyers that were looking to make quick money and got dumped on Now they are trying to get their btc back for near their purchase price.  I think EAC is far from dead, however Eac will not rise overnight, The supply still out weighs the demand, maybe when EAC halves (?december) we will have a steady rise in price, until than keep mining and holding. A large mining effort from the community with the intention of holding would be good too. Or mining another alt to buy  up cheap EAC. People talk about an interest for EAC holders. maybe if we had a mining group that mined a diff alt and sold for EAC, a small % of the pool could be returned to members of the community though earthcointalk.org giveaways.  let it be clear I am not a miner so If i'm speaking out of my ass go easy Wink just throwing out Ideas, I know some of these ideas have already been touched on.

No, that is a good idea. One of the reasons I keep my miner on EAC instead of a more profitable coin is to drive up the EAC difficulty hoping to deter dumpers, just the slightest bit.

You guys can do what you like. I'm buying & mining EAC like a boss atm knowing this coin has a great team behind it and its only a matter of time before I profit big time from it.

I agree. I am buying, mining, and spending EAC.
A few new items are up at https://earthazaar.com/ (some that I put up).
