I just bought a shitload at 199.....so thanks for that!

My timing was just slightly off, now I can't get filled at 200. Damn you BTC and your slow confirms!  Cheesy

yea...206 now....but someone is still trying the 1 coin trick to start the price drops...

Works for me. I have a lot mined already, so either they increase in price and I don't get filled, or enough shortsighted miners have to dump at any price because they're relying on a 3 week old coin to pay their electric bills and I do get filled. Win / win.

If a day old coin can't pay the damn electric bill it isn't worth mining.  Why would anyone mine an untested coin if it won't even pay the electric bill! Your damn right I expect a 3 week old coin to pay the electric bill plus a bunch more!

It's called speculation. People mine it because they feel the price will go up. If you don't like that go mine litecoin or some other coin at the top of coin warz.

Exactly!
If one relies on a coin in order to pay the bills, they should not be involved in altcoin speculation.

Still sick, promised I wouldn't post, can't help it need to write a few things.

1. The instant-wallet/online wallet issue: From the start of this thread you'll see me say we're shying away from online wallets due to risk/security. I got PM'd by the guy that did this and he seemed serious/professional, I'm still not even sure that this is/isn't a scam as way too many points of contact and info are coming in to do a proper audit so I simply removed it from the website.

***I'm personally going to take responsibility for this, it's nobody elses fault but mine, nobody else on the team really even see's or knows how many assets are flung at me to package, link to, verify, etc. So I'm going to go digging tomorrow and get to the bottom of the online wallet. If I find that it is a scam, and is provable beyond a doubt, and the developer of it is mia and refuses to work things through = I will personally refund your eac.

2. Treehugging is allowed, not expected. We're trying a few things differently, and appealing to the masses and good causes, so what?

Does that mean we hate profit? No.

I'm not doing this just to get sick from working my ass off on it for no return yet, but feel good that a tree is at least being planted and food is reaching the homeless while half of you freak out on us (well shit, I do feel really good about the trees and helping the homeless though, don't take that away from me!), but this effort and all the others are but one branch on our tree. The name lends itself to a lot, including having good things backfire re "no good deed goes unpunished". It's been quite reactive for us and we're taking in everyone's suggestions as realistically as we can. Go through the thread you'll see the foundation be suggested by you guys. You'll see good efforts being suggested by you guys, we're enablers but it's a collective thing overall.

****Do I want the family to hold hands and sing kumbaya? Not exactly.

DO I expect a muslim and an american to hold hands and get along? Well maybe not hold hands but yes I do see room to let everyone get along and not be divided or indoctrinated by your side of the worlds storytellers/media/religions/etc. It's not going to solve every problem in the world but the last thing we want is overly patriotic people thinking they are #1, better than anyone, or 'right' because their gov/media told them one side of a story. Think for yourselves, no muslim has done me any wrong, I live in an extremely diverse area of the world that doesn't cater to racism or terrorist calling cards, it's multicultural and I can eat Chinese food at lunch, while walking past a mosque to get there, and take a taxi back with a cool native or afghani taxi driver to get home where a handful of nationalities greet me in my lobby as the concierge change shifts. You think you'd get away with saying some of the things you read here you'd be ostracized pretty damn quick and you'd be targeted by all in turn.

3. The team is spread out across the Western part of the world - we're doing an interview soon and you'll learn a little more about us and how this project got started in the near future.

4. We're being integrated on CoinPayments, and we are also releasing our own mini payment gateway soon so merchants can utilize our system easier. This also means a merchant page is coming and it also means we'll be fleshing out an inventory page like nothing you've seen yet Smiley.

5. The exchange, I'd appreciate if we could just leave that alone, it's months away, no need to speculate. The beta testers signed up to the email list will get invites when ready. Fiat probably won't happen until phase two we will be legit from every angle legally not doing some underground quick cheap three day build but a real inc etc.

6. Thank you to the senior long term visionaries, adults, intellectuals, and enlightened folks who are sticking up for the brand and the team.

7. It's Saturday night - hope you guys are enjoying it.

Thank you!

Forgot a few things:

9. We are in talks and review with BTC38, they have a detailed breakdown of our premine initiatives and up to date efforts and some future efforts, all hope is not lost. It does suck that we got removed, however like any good debate, this has caused a lot of good attention in the Chinese markets re how quality control is handled and how adding/removing based on a few 'complaints' (by design or by real folks) can mess with a coin/brand. We even have an apology from the main editor for disclosing some info we wanted to be used for their internal team. All in all it's been a bit confusing for us but we're handling it and you may well see us not only back on there on a listing but actually being traded.

10. volume: I said this in the IRC channel earlier today. Right now isn't the most ideal time to point it out as it has lowered, however in retrospect it may be even more ideal as it's still wayyyyyy bigger than any coin. Go to Coinex, look at our 24hr volume, it's been as high as 50-60btc. Now go to literally all other coins one at a time, look at theirs. We've been their go to coin since showing up there and they had to upgrade (I can only assume it was due to our volume, I am not sure, but taking a good guess) their system due to growth for eac showing up there. Coinedup is a bit of a different setup and they are just experiencing the joys of adding coins so it's gone rampant/tons of coins added lately, some removed/being removed already. I'm willing to guess we still contributed to their growth to some degree too as they listed us first.

11. value: Yes, it was as high as 8-9 for a short while and had to find its real value. I was in absolute shock watching it hit those numbers and knew it wouldn't last, and kinda wish it didn't do that as it gave everyone a false hope of a continuous incline for a few folds and some of you bought really high and now are nervous/pissed/waiting to exit or at least take half. I've been in your shoes, I've gotten absolutely spanked and was stupid enough to take a 50% cut just to get out of that position and to keep trying to make back my profit elsewhere instead of being idle in a slow growth or decline and freaking out. Most recently when Bitcoin was at 300-400 in November, I took a vacation for a week. Just before leaving I was going to cashout my btc to be safe as it was tumbling and I wanted to buy in on a new low hopefully - instead I took a shot and went on vacation leaving everything in btc. I came back to 800+/btc and my associates all freaking out, China was just making it rain and I was on a beach, clueless, instead of here watching charts worrying about exit/enter/timing/news/etc. It may sound like I'm preaching but I'm just sharing a story of how time shifts everything, you may be right be leaving and trying to make back profit faster elsewhere, but you may hate yourself if the few catalysts that are coming up happen shortly after you bounce.

12. Yes.it's.only.20.days.old. We're not a meme, we're not a full blown agency campaign, we're the most real grass roots movement I've ever witnessed by a collective viral force but we're still TINY compared to the top 5. Still - in 20 days, we've created a world, we've developed more assets than any agency could take on, offshore/outsourcing included. We've come farther in 20 days as far as big picture goes than I think any coin has sans Doge, I have nothing but respect for the marketing/genius and 'bait into crypto' of doge.

13. Wait 13 is unlucky, I'll save my thoughts for Monday (or tomorrow if the trolls and baiters get to me).

Night!

Back on topic.

It's so cute seeing these new people join us. They seem very jealous that we're doing better than their coins.

We should all get along.

This is strange...has anyone else noted an increase in the quantity and diversity of EAC naysayers today?  We have the usual suspects, but today's statements are rather inflammatory and unique.  In any case, for those of us who believe in the principles of Earthcoin and what it seeks to achieve, may this serve as a reminder to remain vigilant and not to allow ourselves to be baited into trivial and irrelevant debates aimed at stifling EAC's growth.

I'd like to talk more about the initiatives that I've seen spurred as a result of Earthcoin's birth, starting with Earthcointalk.  Now that all things Earthcoin-related has a home for discussion, wouldn't it be best that we start migrating?
There is probably an increase because this coin is more of a fail everyday passing by?

I don't know exactly for the pool but the way they told about that online wallet was like it was their...and then what? Either they are accomplice either they tryed to hide it "Ow shit the thing we appropriated was a scam! Well, no more news and no more link"
WOW SUCH HIDING, VERY PRO, MUCH SCAM WOW

And by the way, how would you rate the exchange rate evolution on coinex and coinedup?

I thought this coin had potential and I still do. But hippies make bad business partners. I'm all for being green and helping the Earth but unless the miners are using pure solar, it's a lie. We can go out and plant all the trees and buy all the carrots you want, but in the end if the coin has no value apart from being something that can be sold for BTC and the developers don't prove initiative to make gains in innovation and profitability the coin will never see it's full potential. Holding hands as a "community" and singing kumbayah in front of the bulldozer of REAL economics will get you killed.

I think what everyone is forgetting is that Earthcoin is just over 20 days old.  In that 20 days, it has seen amazing support and growth.  However, there seem to be a large amount of people who want to see aggressive and immediate growth pertaining to EAC's value.  Let me remind everyone that it took Bitcoin almost half a decade to get where it's at.  Litecoin has been around for just over 2 years, other select value coins have been around for AT LEAST half a year.  What is everyone expecting EAC to be, a get rich quick scheme?  This coin has far more potential than other established coins have, and it's only been 20 days.  Marketing, merchandising, trade (both as a value and for goods), development, community involvement, I've been around the crypto world quite a bit and haven't seen a push as strong as this for a coin this early EVER.

On another note, for those of you who keep pushing market value back into the spotlight, how is it that you think your helping by condemning a newborn coin that you claim to be invested in?  I mean, what is your motive?  If it were a debate, that's one thing, but your inflammatory comments clearly illustrate that you're not interested in intellectual back and forth regarding the future and continued growth of this coin.  It doesn't make any sense, it's counter-intuitive, and I'm not sure what you're getting out of wasting your time in a community you claim not to have any faith in.

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, will have an important and necessary role in the growth of this coin.  Developers, miners, investors, charities, bloggers, every single initiative is significant as this coin continues to march toward its true potential.  How about we all start fighting for the same team?

I, also, think that is something that is lost on a lot of people.
It really is amazing how far we have come in just 3 weeks!

So Earthcoin won the vote to be added to Coinpayments: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397540.msg4454026#msg4454026

This is some good news! I used coinpayments just the other day and it was a very simple system.

Yes. This positive growth is incredible.

I personally think devs of other coins are trying to protect their projects by slandering promising coins such as EAC. Earthcoin has immense potential and if it wasn't for all the haters I think more people would see that. Time will tell though. Let's see what the devs can do in coming months. If they do follow through and get some big press releases and launch incryptex as they plan to, then I can only see it going up from here.

I think even with all those people, it is well established that EAC has the brightest potential of any new coin.
This is the hottest thread on the entire forum over the past few weeks.

well established by who? I hope it is.

The members of the altcoin community.
I know you just joined this forum 4 days ago, but if you read back all the threads for the past few weeks- you'll see a large number of posts throughout the altcoin forum discussing the positive future and potential of Earthcoin.
(I know it's hard to read one's tone in print; my bringing up that you just joined the forum 4 days ago was not meant to be snarky in any way.)

Personally I would prefer eac be removed from all but one exchange and have a direct to usd/eur before it went to cryptsy. It would do more for people actually trying to use the coin. Or we can try to get it on to as many exchanges as possible as quickly as possible and just kill it.

I definitely think a direct USD/EAC exchange would be a massive win for any alt-coin...having to buy BTC first just slows things down

+1

That would be the best of all

I agree, but how could that be accomplished? There would need to be some sort of securities licenses involved, etc.
Anybody know anything about that?

WorldCoin has ZERO value over bitcoin or litecoin or other innovations like nxt, emunie and invictus. Its a clone coin with minor improvements that every other shitcoin already has, Really it is nothing but bunch of mumbo jumbo with a nice website.

this is the truth and the truth can hurt for worldcoin holders.

Almost everyone here believes me to be a scammer.

Please believe me when I tell you all that I am truly sorry for the dogecoins that are owed to you.

Another pool operator has been very kind to me over these past few days and is helping me get through this. You have no idea how badly I feel about this situation. It is draining the life out of me every second of every day.

My words may mean nothing to most of you, but this is the truth.

It is not possible for me to purchase the amount of dogecoins that are owed to many of the miners of my pool. When I first realized this, I abandoned my ship. It was foolish for me to do this and the fact that I did that will make it much harder for anyone to believe a word out of my mouth. I don't blame you but please, read my thread from the beginning, and I hope you can see from the start I gave my pool everything I had.

The person I am working with has encouraged the idea of reopening my pool and has agreed to run it with me to make sure there are no issues with double payouts. Any owed balances will be paid using any and all fees that my pool collects. If / when the owed balances are settled in full, the person who is helping me will take full control of the pool. You will no longer have to deal with me. I'm not cut out for this, and I realize that. This was my first pool and will be my last pool. This is a terrible situation for all of my miners and I'm sorry that I couldn't fix the problems with my pool.

It's not easy coming to this forum and reading the things people are saying. I'm not a bad person. I've done right my whole life. I will do everything I can to right this ship and make things right.

Holy shit!?!
You scammed millions and millions of coins off people. I'm guessing you blew all the money.
Now, you're going to re-open the scam pool to attempt to scam more coins from people.
Jesus-that's one of the ballsiest things I've ever seen...going for the double scam pool. Un-fuckin'-believable!

If anybody falls for it this time, they derserve to get their coins stolen.

P.S. whoever is adding up the bounties...I'm doubling my bounty to ID this scammer to 2000 Earthcoins.

someone keeps dumping sell orders like 4-5 BTC range to keep the price down. this needs to stop. someone is out trying to sabotage EAC clearly.

seeings lots of russian/chinese chatter on coinEX about EAC. seems like they're bullish about it.

Guess who that someone is? HELLO?? Anybody home?

Come on then Holmes, give us a name......

He thinks it's Big Vern
