is there anyway for them to keep track of how much u originally bought the bitcoin for? i mean theres no way to prove if u bought for .01$ or 1200$ ? right?
That's what I was thinking. Say the IRS says anything about spending btc, then the person just says they bought in at $1200 and writes off the loss on their taxes. |

I don't really get the point: you guys are saying that if the coins will be found, then Bitcoin exchange rate will immediately raise. But how come? 670000 coins are a big deal, at least 100000 of them will be on markets again, hence the exchange rate will sink for a few days. Or I am wrong?
It can only fall, there is no other option. If most people keep the coins the price remains the same, if most sell the price goes to 1 dollar. Yes the world has a lack of fiat to buy any of those coins. It seems you don't understand the basica rules of market. The current price is what it is without those coins, how can the price go up? coins will buy coins? Nobody even knew those coins were missing up until 3 weeks ago and the price was the same. Finding the coins will have a negligible impact on the market. |

Proposal reform to all Exchanges on their listing of all Crypto-coins format.
~Eliminate all Vote to list money grappling manipulable BS once for all replace with a system as in all stock markets doing:
~All new Crypto-coins eligible to be listed only as OTC (on the counter) coin as probation period until coin mature in price and traded vol acceptance.
~All Crypto-coins fall to as low as 0.00000001. will automated return as OTC status. Will be eliminate from listing after wks with no sign of improvement.
~Prohibit trades from pulling when price fall into range of +/- 0.00000010 or within 1% range, help eliminating price manipulation.
I do not like the idea of regulation. We are all (mostly) adults. We need to be responsible for our own choices and trades. |

Why is this such a bad thing? 2014 seems to be shaping up as a good year. Bitcoin is all over the news and entertainment. As a community, we finally got the gox off our back. Prices are significantly higher than last year at this time. |

I just withdraw everything I had from the site.  I don't understand why people continue to use mcxnow if they already know that he's scammer?  How is he a scammer?, or are you just spouting shite from the FUDsters? K. I've never understood that either. He never disabled withdrawals, nobody ever lost access to their coins. If a person loses coins in trading, don't blame others....it is all a part of trading. |

I hope the bitcoin community that was goxed gets some/all their coins back.
Everyone should have learned a very valuable lesson from this whole mess- Hold on to your coins...no need to leave them on exchanges.

So with news of Mt.Gox "finding" 200,000 bitcoins, does that mean potentional for Wes getting any back? I know i heard he had significant amounts on Gox

I would like to see some more DEV actions... Even stopping the dilution!!!! Decrease the number of coins that hit the market, not decrease the total number of coins but just decrease the amount that hit the market or create a multipool for EAC the same what they did for BC, at least do something, or just buy those cheap coins yourself...
Funny you should mention that  We're working on a multipool that pays out in EAC, though it's just in the exploratory stage right now. Also, I personally am buying the coins at these low prices and holding until I can spend them on something useful,not just exchanges. That's a pretty unique idea. Thanks! I'd like to take full credit for that! Unfortunately, it wasn't my idea, so I can't I'm not sure who came up with it, but it was Cryptozark that got the ball rolling. Might have been his idea, but I was under the impression that it was not. I would have no clue how to set up something like that. If anyone can figure it out, I'd be happy to throw my 3.2 mh/s at it. |

What did they do? Sorry, I mined this coin last year but after all the scharmbeck allegations and such, lost interest. Has something changed now? and for the better? You are responding to someone that goes on every coin's thread and write's "this coin is dead, I'm mining sun". He's been doing this for weeks and in all that time his precious suncoin still can't get 400 replies in the thread. Very sad. |
