201  Economy / Economics / Re: Idea and money are very important to investment. on: December 01, 2023, 06:31:06 PM
If you have idea on a particular investment, it will help you to follow the straight way that will lead you to some stage that will make you to believe that you are close to your destination of greatness, and if you have money and idea, very easy for you to grow higher in your investment which the two are very important to investors because, you will know the type of business to invest your money which you have the idea that it will bring a good profits to you in the future. Do you believe idea and money are very important in investment? Or can you succeed with money without idea in that investment.
A business plan is basically a document that elaborates on the idea you have to make money through rendering a service or offering goods for sale. Irrespective of how wealthy you are, your business must be built on an idea or sets of ideas. That's why companies have vision and mission statements.
Consequently, I may not have the idea but I have the money and choose to invest in someone else's idea for a piece of equity on the business.
202  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers Signatures : A challenge or Respect on: December 01, 2023, 06:11:45 PM
We as the citizens of planet earth promise you to milk every possible  signature revenue to the last milliseconds allowed and will not forfeit our rights. 😂
This is a good one.

No need to panic now. Even though the members can do whatever they please by removing the avatar, they should wait for the managers who I believe will have the announcement coming out soon.
203  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does signature Campaign Sponsors make their money on: December 01, 2023, 05:40:33 PM
Often times I keep wondering how signature campaigns sponsors get their funds considering the huge amount of money they pay campaign members of their various Signatures and Avatars because some of the Signature Sponsors Refills their Escrow Funds on a weekly or monthly basis.
Note that signature campaigns are actual business plans for businesses, real companies and organizations. Or if I may say companies with investors, budgets for marketing, sales and all other departments. They are a profit making organization and as such they have a marketing and sales budget some of which strictly goes into signature campaigns.

Maybe you haven't noticed but sometimes, the campaign managers will prune the number of participants in a campaign and their reason will be because the organization is cutting cost or reducing its budget. Something like this happened some weeks back in Shuffle campaign being managed by Little Mouse.

I want to know to know how advertising their Avatars and Signatures provides funds for the sponsors or is it that they just actually want their Signatures or their Avatars to be advertised to the public?
Signatures campaigns are like ads. There more people visiting the website being advertised and patronizing them because of it.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CASHOUT OR NOT???? on: December 01, 2023, 03:03:21 PM
Your topic brings to mind this one already discussed some time ago when the OP has a similar question. You can read about it - Greed or risk. You already know what you want, you can see it through to the end or you can cash out and be happy. If you allow the game to finish playing and end up losing it you may regret it but if you cash out, irrespective of the outcome, you will have no deep regret because you came out with something. Whatever choice you make, please return to give us an update on what outcome was. I'll be looking out for it.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 01, 2023, 02:45:32 PM

For sure, Manchester City will have an easy win against Tottenham Hotspur because of their injury crisis, but it will not be easy for Manchester City to top the Premier League table soon, Arsenal will fight to be on top of the Premier League table till this year finish. Arsenal being on top of the Premier League table can make them to win most of their matches just to remain at the top of the Premier League table.
I know how this game will game. And the reason will not be because Manchester City are the best sides and play very well, the reason will be because Tottenham has ignored their defensive vulnerabilities for a very long time. And this is what will make they lose the game because their opponent already know about their weakness and will go all out in exploiting it. My prediction in the match between Tottenham vs. Manchester City a goal-filled 4-2 victory for Man City.
206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For sports bettors, are you attracted with bet builder feature? on: December 01, 2023, 01:38:45 PM
I just recently explored the bet builder feature of the sportsbook I'm currently using, and I find it interesting as you can have more bets combine in just one game which is impossible on parlay bets. So I'd like to hear your thoughts regarding this, is it also profitable or just a waste of money?
Any gambler that has used bet builder can surely give a positive review of their betting experience because there is no way you will use its various options and not enjoy your betting. This is like one of the features I look out for the most in most sportsbooks. I use it to create parlays with different bet types within the same game. I have used it to bet on events like red cards, woodwork hits, and to predict if a specific player will score and the timing too. And I have been lucky using it.
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see individual satoshi becoming valuable? on: December 01, 2023, 12:57:44 PM
As each halving is passing and this block reward decrease has started sounding like a big deal to me. Does anyone else also see individual satoshi becoming valuable in future?

No. I think BTC  tops out at 10 to 15 million.. Which means 15 cents per sat.

Check my math.

0.00000001.  100 million sats to a coin . so 100mill x 15 cents you got a 15 million dollar coin.

with a 15 cent sat. maybe in 2050 to 2060 it happens.
This math is a bit difficult for me to comprehend. But if I got you, do you mean that, 1 Satoshi will be worth 15 million dollar?
208  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Traders are Not Profitable on: November 30, 2023, 07:29:50 PM
Read this:

https://tradeciety.com/24-statistics-why-most-traders-lose-money?hs_amp=true

Our research suggests that about 70 to 90% of traders lose money. It is, of course, impossible to get an exact number, but as a rule of thumb, we believe 70-90% is close to the “correct” ballpark figure.

Approximately 1–20% of day traders actually profit from their endeavors. Exceptionally few day traders ever generate returns that are even close to worthwhile. This means that between 80 and 99 percent of them fail.

Based on several brokers' studies, as many as 90% of traders are estimated to lose money in the markets. This can be an even higher failure rate if you look at day traders, forex traders, or options traders.

I can agree to that, most traders are losing.

Trading is not gambling but it should be seen as gambling because they are the two things online that can make people to easily lose money.
I am glad that there are articles to back up my observations.
I didn't even have to read these articles or studies to come to the conclusion. This is was just from natural observation. I just noticed that
- increase in YouTube channels of trading influencers.
- increase in the number of Instagram channels with traders showing off their set up and charts.
- TikTok videos of trading influencers directing viewers to some links to buy a course

It is just crazy. These people trying to make money off novices and recycling old trading stories.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin story on: November 30, 2023, 07:13:11 PM
I think introducing bitcoin as a story will be better for children to know about Bitcoin and it will be more interesting for them and they would want to get more details about bitcoin as they grow up.
The best way to talk to anyone about anything to pique their interests is through a story. It is not only kids who loves a good story, teenagers, and adult love a good story. And for kids colorful illustrations about money will a conversation starter for them after which you slowly and carefully tell about bitcoin.

If you notice that the kids seem to be distracted and interested in your story, do not force them. Just move to something else and revisit the story at a later time.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why sports betting? on: November 30, 2023, 06:52:58 PM
With hundreds or probably thousands of games online, I'd like to ask why would you choose sports betting?
Sports betting was what introduced me to the gambling. It was my first ever gamble. I remember and choose it because it brings friends together.
Quote
what are the reasons why you fall in love with sports betting?
- Something to banter on with friends and colleagues. It is sort of bonding for me.

- I have fun betting and also fun watching the game.

- Increased my knowledge about football, footballers and teams all over the world.

Quote
you really believe you can win in sports betting in the long run, or you just really think no chance because every game can be win by luck, sports betting is not exemption.
I have had fair wins through sports betting but it is just for fun and not something to look on to as a source of income.
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ? on: November 30, 2023, 06:37:35 PM
Definitely possible to be making consistent income from gambling if you set it as a goal and treat as you would treat any business venture you are embarking on. I have not set it as my goal so I do not make steady income from it . I tell you that those who have been successful at this do noy play slots. Poker, backgammon and blackjack are the games they play often. These are games where you make your own luck and play on your terms based on how skillful you . are. These people are very patient, they practice a lot and are very disciplined in their bankroll management.
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using AI for betting predictions on: November 30, 2023, 06:05:09 PM
Should AI be relied on for sport betting predictions?
I can't tell you how much I detest those YouTube videos and articles with captions like how to beat the odds with AI. They should just stfu. All those are bs click baits. They'll say how they won 5 grands or 10 grands they are all bloody liars. AI can't make any sports betting predictions for you, you will end up wasting precious time that you should have used in doing your own research and analysis before placing a bet. And you will even lose more if you use AI's prediction to place a bet than if you did if were to place a bet based on the result of your analysis. Do not believe all those lying faced YouTubers and social media influencers.
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: November 30, 2023, 05:52:27 PM
I agree with you, self-control is the most important thing in carrying out gambling activities, people who are easily tempted by the tricks they see in the casino, in my opinion they are not equipped with good self-control and these people will easily place bets. because they feel they will win or gain profits in this game, and if they don't immediately realize that they will experience a lot of losses there. Meanwhile, to perfect self-control so that it is optimal, responsible behavior is also required. If we can do both, even slowly, it will reduce the risk of gambling, namely losing a lot of money and apart from that, it will prevent us from becoming addicted to gambling.
Stress arising from financial obligations, such as rent, can impair decision-making in betting, it is important to have a separate fund exclusively for this purpose. To promote disciplined betting, if you must bet, create a dedicated bank account or cash stash, treating it as an investment and avoiding its use for other expenses.
214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: November 29, 2023, 09:23:04 PM
Sometimes,  this just comes by luck and if you have been lucky to have won such a huge amount in a sports bet,  it is expected of you to take a break and enjoy your win in first Instead of trying to over tress your luck along the line,  this is most better when it comes to online betting,  once you hit the jackpot it good for you to just take a leave and enjoy your money because gambling is full of uncertainty.

Gambling is a game of luck. Absolute luck in both winning or losing. It doesn't matter how much analysis that you have made or research you have done, its outcome relies on luck. Before anyone gets to the millionaire level in betting they will already be struggling with extreme form of gambling addiction. Your goal is to have fun, be entertained, win some few bucks and return to your normal doing other things to turn yourself into a millionaire. Not through gambling but through legitimate means.
215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Health Benefits of Gambling on: November 29, 2023, 09:10:56 PM
I like the last point that it helps us to take risks at varying levels and degrees. From investing 1% in gambling as a risk management method to sticking to knowing the type of risk to take. It reduces stress through the release of dopamine but when it is secreted too much it leads to a dependence on it. And the health benefit would become a health risk. One of the best health benefits of gambling is that when we win, our minds will be at rest and we are sure of a good night sleep. And if we don't want to losing so much because losing is inevitable, we must stick to the first health benefit of gambling teaching and helping us to take calculated risks.

217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes betting is just ridiculous. Sometimes it is complete nonsense. on: November 29, 2023, 07:13:47 PM
Yes, people would bet on all sorts of crazy stuff. And this didn't start now. Many years ago in the Roman Empire people bet on gladiators to fight to death. Wars should be shocking to anyone. And I will not be surprised if there is a bet for the country where the next pandemic will break out from. I wonder the casinos who give odds for this have no ethical or moral judgement. And people who bet on these types of events are morally depraved too.
218  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Only Sell what you don't need. on: November 29, 2023, 06:56:57 PM
I say do whatever you want as long as you have the full conviction and the right knowledge. I know a Bitcoin maximalist that liquidated his stocks and real estate investments and turned all of it into bitcoin investments. These folks do not give two fucks about investing what you can afford to lose. They go all in 100%.

Albeit, this is a solid advice from the OP especially for small bitcoin holders and retail investors.
219  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginner vs. fast starter on: November 29, 2023, 06:29:52 PM
Well different people different perspective I think. You are right, some prefer to be a listener and read a lot of questions and answers here. But thats smart also as they learned what they needed just by being an spectator. Only those who keep posting are the one active since they wanted to gain merits. Some are here for pure knowledge and answered thoughts.
I believe that newbies who show a willingness to listen and extensively read through the posted questions and answers are typically not novices when it comes to online forums. They already have an understanding of how these platforms operate and often demonstrate an intermediate level of understanding regarding bitcoin and the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem. Usually, their first goal I think is to spend a significant portion of their time studying the forum.

On the other hand, there is another group who I feel have entry-level knowledge of bitcoin because they are eager to ask any questions or uncertainties on their minds. This eagerness sometimes leads them to unintentionally repeat questions already addressed on the forum. Interestingly as they spend more time on the forum, we find that their frequency of confusion-related questions begins to decrease. Eventually they grow to the point where they can answer queries posed by other beginners.
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Dorsey wants to decentralize Bitcoin mining with new investment on: November 29, 2023, 06:04:33 PM
This is not necessary to me, we know Jack Dorsey, we know about his reputation and business, he's coming to claim that he's going to offer something he himself is not capable of, what is the decentralization that can comes in with anything that has to do with someone like Jack Dorsey, maybe we shouldn't be too far fetched in being decieved by those that always try to show they are helping whereas the profits is to their own pocket.
This is going to be huge but I do not think that it is only Jack that's spear heading this. And it is too early to conclude on it. I think in my estimation that it is necessary and from what I have read, there are many potentials and upside to it. One of the reasons I like it is that it is disruptive. But is this going to in any ensure that we do not see high transaction fees again? In addition, what will happen to the already existing mining pool. Will it be abandoned by the miners? Further explanations would go a long way to help me understand better.
