what do you mean, "not sure if it is a coin"? Technically none of them are, they all are virtual payment methods. XRP is traded at TheRockTrading with a huge spread if one is looking for profit, but you can trade your xrp for many crypto and fiat currencies in your wallet, without fees or hassle. If you manage to integrate Nxt, with its brainwallet, xrp should not be far from there(although now i'm talking out of my ass  ) Oh dear. Did I list Nxt. I can't take it out of vote list anymore, so if shareholders really want it, we need to integrate it in our server. Don't know how, but I think we will get help for that if we need. Well, while you can only have 30-50 BTC clones running on a server, you can have thousands of Nxt clones running on the same hardware. Nxt doesn´t need much cpu or ram to run, nor much bandwith to operate. Yes, it is a new technology, so it should be more work than just copy and pasting your code, but I think for the amount of money we gave you in the ipo, this shouldnt bother you too much... |

Okay Nxt Community here is a quantum riddle;
My real NXT account number (Public Key) is 14730376987822377578 on NXT Mainnet. I have never used my real NXT passphrase on NXT testnet. However, 14730376987822377578 exists on NXT Testnet.
Yesterday, after I asked for TestNXT on this thread; 18232225178877143084 sent me a 1,000,000 + 1 TestNXT.
While testing this morning, I sent 1,000,000 + 1,000 TestNXT to 14730376987822377578 which showed as a valid public key and appeared to have transaction success.
Upon looking at the history of 14730376987822377578 from NxtTestnet, I see "This account has a balance of 1'063'416 NXT" ; 1,000,000 being the TestNXT transferred this morning and 63,416 an old real NXT balance of real NXT account 14730376987822377578.
And even more bizarre, looking down into the transaction history I find dozens of Asset transfers between 3/11/2014 and 3/14/2014 all to the same account number 18232225178877143084. WHICH is the SAME TestNXT account that sent me 1,000,000 TestNXT on 3/19/2014.
Maybe I need another cup of coffee.
Because the testnet uses a state of the blockchain of several months/days/weeks ago to continue whenever it is restarted? |

No. It's a scheme how to steal NXTs. Quite simple scheme btw: 1. U use the same account in Nas. 2. He sends u 100000 NAS. 3. Few days later he offers to buy 50000 NAS for 0.01 BTC. 4. He sends the bitcoins in advance, u send him 50000 NAS. 5. He broadcasts this transaction into Nxt network.Result: U sold 50k NXT for 0.01 BTC. How? |

So far, most of the projects have been paid by whales like Klee, Pouncer, Msin, Neer.g, Bitcoincanada, cfb, and some other guys whose name I can't remember. They have been working behind the scene. Allowing the issuance of assets with the same name will most probably hinder us to sell our assets on the Nxt AE as we don´t want to have anyone creating assets with the same name as ours. We will work hard to get our shit together and to convince the community that our shares are worth buying, but if anyone can come and issue assets with the same name, we will most probably not use Nxt as scamming would harm our reputation, too.
EDIT: I am talking about a real life project we would like to fund using Nxt.
if we have a verification system there should be no issue, right? (with non unique names) Well, I thin kthat the average user will go after the name... I see some discussions between friends: "I bought ABC shares on Nxt" "Really? Cool! I will also buy one when I get home." "But take care as there are hundreds of shares with the same name..." Good afternoon people. Could somebody explain to me the following: Somebody (j777) issues asset "BTC" in AE. Gateways is working, technically it is possible to sell and buy BTC in AE. But I also have real BTC and want to sell them for NXT in AE. As it is already "BTC" issued in AE not by me and I'm not an owner of this asset, how my real BTC will appear in AE and I can trade them? Will I need to issue "BTC1"? This question is also for some other "universal" assets. Did I miss something or do I need to go for beauty sleep for a while? You can deposit your real BTC with any NXT gateway using whatever method they have. For multigateway, once you get a deposit address, you just send your real BTC to that bitcoin address and it will appear in AE with the corresponding amount of multigateway BTC. Alternatively, you could create a BTC asset and list it and convince people that you really do have the BTC and you really will redeem it when they want and then sell it on the AE. The 1000 NXT fee will discourage the second approach as issuing and maintaining any real asset is a lot of work and should not be undertaken lightly. If it only cost a few NXT, then some people will try to issue their own assets and it will become quite a mess. Look at the work Anon136 is putting in for his silver asset. There are entire companies that are being created to become an asset! James Ok, Thank you for explanation. But what about other "universal" assets, which is not related with cryptos and gateways? For example, I want to trade "salt" in AE. I issue asset "salt" with quantity of 1000. Sometime all 1000 of "salt" is sold, and I want to add "more" salt to AE. It will be "Salt1"? You should have issued enough assets to cover all the salt you thought you would ever use and put the issued but uncollateralized assets in holding. - of course. I agree. Otherwise it could lead to confusion. It would be pretty bad advertisement for Nxt if there would be a nice project, which attracts a lot of users and then idiots start creating assets with the same name consufing the users. They would most probably drop Nxt as a lot of users did previously because of the unfriendly client. (which will be history in a few days, I hope, thanks to wesleyh ) |
