{"errorCode":5,"errorDescription":"Unknown alias"}

but why? I used https://localhost:7875/alias.html to register...

Alias System will be activated after block 22000.

And where are we now? The recent blocks tab is empty in my client.

Where can I see if my aliases are being accepted or not?
I canīt see nothing in my client

... planning to get rid of the interface completely.
- very sad.

The browser (https) access and the absence of stand-alone client is the most distinguishing (and attractive) feature of Nxt.

The browser access successfully works on smartphones right now.

Hope BCNext will change his mind regarding browser client.

I don't like the java interface at all and would prefer a stable, fast, clean native interface.

me too.
i want a client which is lean, small, fast and cross os, running
without installation from my usb-stick on windows, linux or mac,
able to connect to my private local node, my public net node and
even to other secured nodes later without any stored browser
history and security concerns like this, just by one click from
any place.

i want to manage my account, handle shares on the asset exchange
and use all the cool features nxt is providing soon without
leaving the client workspace, just like a central application hub.

i also want to see all quotes for other coins, best in near realtime
and trade them with advanced tools and technical analysis including
candlestick charts. auto-notifications on price-actions and bot-trading
with backtesting tools are also welcome.

i want a client which never needs updates, because this is built in
and it would also nice to add special plugins with a single click and
use them without restarting my os or even the client itself.
all this should fit into 1mb to send the client via mail to friends
without bothering them by complex multilayer installations and make
them start nxt easy.

well, we don't have it right now but we could we have it soon. ;-)

Omg, that looks great!

I am stuck at block 37

BCNext said his account was blocked by protection algo. Someone else should start forging too.

How?

Now let's test and report.

I found a Unicode issue, not sure though. Can anyone confirm that Unicode does work correctly?

Hi, can anyone explain to me how it's supossed to work the descentraliced exchange?

I believe it will work like this.  There will be gateways for different currencies (crypto or fiat).  You send your currency to this gateway.  The gateway then issues the asset on the Nxt network via colored coins.  That asset is then transferable on Nxt.  You can have many different issuers of the same currency.  All these currencies will then be able to be traded in a decentralized manner.  To redeem your currency, you send it back to the asset issuer and they send you the crypto or the fiat.

Ok, so if the issuer just disappers with your fiat, you can do nothing about it, right?

Am I understanding correctly that the password is bound to the name and that if you know the password, then you own the name?

If so, then this is a major security flaw, as there is truly no way to transfer ownership of a name from one user to another user (since they both must know the password).

Please tell me I'm misunderstanding it.

If the 2nd person knows the password then it means that the 1st one revealed it. Who r we to decide what account owners r allowed to do with their passwords?

I believe xibeijan's concern is that if you were to sell the Alias, and give the buyer your Nxt account password, you (seller) would still have access to the account since you know the password of the Nxt account.

Code-from-Beyond mentioned a transfer feature could be added through the auction functionality.

Ok, so thatīs how he is doing it Smiley

Hi Guys! What do you think about the recent panic on the whole crypto-market? How will this effect NxT?
What would be a good strategy? Sell everything off even with a loss of 50% (compared to the initial invistment I made) or hold and hope it goes back up?

Hold and sell later for 10X profit.  Look at this historic charts!

I hope I wonīt regret. I hope NMC goes back to $10 ever..

It's up to you of course, but until we have breached the 200-day MA (Moving Average) on BTC we're still in bull market.

Currently 200-day MA on BTC is at $265 level, 100-day MA is at $420. All markets have periodic tests of their support levels and certain MAs (50, 100, 200) are where buy orders are concentrated. Chances are BTC will find good support at one of these and bounce off. BTC already tested its 200-day MA in July and recovered after that, it should do it again.

As for how this affects NXT, it's hard to say until January when source code is released and major features start being implemented, and generally the client is more stable for users. Won't take long to find out, just another 2-3 weeks.

Thank you!
