about to sell 50% of my NXT back into BTC. NXT is crashing hard from these attacks and sudden price rise! Not to mention there are at least 70 people with around 13 MILLION NXT who have made 6000% profit. Yep, I would be tempted also.

Correction - 400-500,000% from original approx cost per coin at .000000021BTC.

EDIT: And that's only BTC return. BTC at the time was worth 6-7 less.. So if you want to hear USD/fiat return... you're talking 2,400,000-3,000,000%.

EDIT2: I must say, that's on a per coin basis. Of course, they're not gonna be able to sell all those coins like at that rate, but it should give you an idea.

And while you are chatting here, the price just climbs back up... you should better jump on, before itīs too late again.

Which attacks? What is your price? I would love to buy your Nxts for a good price before it gets worthless Wink

On dgex a see small orders. How did they sell from 84000000$(coinmarketcap) to 67000000$(coinmarketcap) their nxt??

Someone (most probably a big stakeholder) is selling off parts of his nxts as he realized that distributing it is the only way nxt can succeed. There were a few 1+M transfers to the exchange from accounts with a lot of nxt.

Now is a good time to buy in, the price went down, due to a big stakeholder cashing out!

nxt is going down now http://clip2net.com/s/6tsqXS

Nxt is getting distributed, big stakeholders are selling. That is a GOOD thing!
Is low price good?

It is. So more people can buy in and get part of Nxt!

Is there something weird going on in nxt network / blockchain?

http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=2000&tra=14529141608986373607

there's one of my transactions: Over 12 hour ago it was 556/1440 confirmations and now it is 530/1440. What happened to 26 confirmations? And is it normal to take +24h for 1440?

Maybe you were on a wrong fork. Everything seems normal in my client.

I would reserve every 10th blockgeneration right to the public nodes (every node has the same chance to generate a block), encouraging them to be up an running. If a public node is up and running AND an account is open on that node, it should have the right to earn some transaction fees (even if itīs empty - due to security reasons I wouldnīt leave my wallet open on a node where all my nxts are in)

Just my 2 nxts.

What do you think?

Any thoughts on this?
CfB? BCNext?

Wanna repeat: don't invest more than u can afford to lose. And if u, %username%, just starting an investor career, divide your expectations of acceptable lost part of capital by 10!

Manage risks, use diversification. Live long and prosper  Cool

buy high, sell low, yeeha! Cheesy

So why would I spend the money on more H/W - why wouldn't I buy more NXT?

Basically, the more sound the network is, the more value it represents.
If the NXT has more value, because the tech behind it is more trustworty, 10 NXT could easily be worth more than, say, 100 NXT.

You could basically own ALL NXT and still have nothing, because no one places value on it, or you could own a few that are worth loads.

So, spending money on hardware is an investment in the value of the NXT.

Edit: the "mining" mentality is a weird mindset.

Thatīs why I also ordered PIs to support he network, as it is also in my interest to help nxt succeed.

If NXT keeps on growing this fast then all the Raspberry Pis will be sold out in a few months just like ATI Radeon 7950, mark my words! Well anyway I just ordered 5, can't wait to get them running  Grin

But how do you plan to make money with them?

How can you turn it to cash in 24h?

The best thing about NXT is not just the tech, but how amazing it's been experiencing the community self-organizing around it.  The social side is just as disruptive as the tech.

We are NXT.

A lion share goes to Beyond. He's been here all the time helping all.
But there were many guys like him - i noticed at LEAST 10 doing the same (sorry for not listing your names but you know who you are). Thanks for the great work.

And also all the other behind the scenes!

A lion share goes to Beyond. He's been here all the time helping all.

Although he should get back to work and coding the new features...

just kidding Smiley

Hi guys, maybe you can take a breather and and read my exposition on Nxt alias system here
https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,1411.0.html  Comments welcome.

Quote
For example if you own the alias Amazon, you can create a payment system so that if users who want to shop at Amazon and pay in Nxt could go to your nxt:amazon and do that. Similarly for ebay, target etc.

I'm not sure that Amazon and Ebay will survive the rise of Nxt...

Sometimes I can´t distinguish if you are joking or not when you say things like this Smiley
