Made some quick research on the issue with the huge transactions.

EDIT: sorry, it wasn´t me alone doing it. we did it together with j0b from the chat ( http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=# )
Please donate him some nxt for his efforts:

The nxts were popping up here first: (passphrase "1")
http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=3000&acc=3705364957971254799

Some of them were transferred to this address:

Which belongs to the user nozi123
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=168584
(he was online when all this happened)

He also posted in here, asking where his coins are which he bought from dgex.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.6640
(his post was later deleted form the thread but I replied him quoting his original question with the account number he provided)

What to do? Can we do anything? Is it worth to do anything?

-4,294,967,296 NXT...

wtf...

looks like the guys who got the Nxt transferred it as well.

OMG

1,111,000,000 NXT...

o.O...

don´t worry, the client will sort this out and everything will be fine.

Do I need to get my "The End is Nigh" pamphlets out of the attic or can I just keep sitting and stuffing my face?  Wink

I don´t think so.

wtf is that?  Huh

omg i see that too?

Is the chain broken now?

That's one hell of a TX fee.

I would not worry about it.  NXT, so far, has been quite robust.  It will probably get rejected as invalid.

I´ve checked the transaction id in the blockchain explorer but it is not found.
I´ve never seen something like this before tho...

And a transaction fee of MINUS 5 neither...

NXT----obviously, it's a great idea! but it's too hard to use, we cann't spend whole time to keep eye on the screen to check if the block stucked or not. if no one could solve this ploblem, i dare to say: NXT will disappear soon. the good idea must supported by easy way to use ,but NXT.....

The sourcecode will be released on the 3rd of january. We are in alpha (or beta, or whatever you call it) till then.

Since 0.4.4 the UI is lagging a lot

During blockchain downloading?

No, I am up to date, but when I switch to the tab where NxT is running it takes around a minute to show the content. When I mouseover on the confirmation numbers (10+) it takesaround 2 minutes to show the tooltip.

Good morning everyone!!! Just spent the last hour catching up what I missed while I was asleep. I setup 5 hallmarked nodes this morning, each with 100NXT.

Four of them are on 0.4.2 and one on the new 0.4.4. Made sure the blockchain is up to date on each one and everything is looking good so far.

Cool, thank you!

Hy together,

I am new to this whole alternate cryptocurrencie stuff but NXT has caught my attention.

Unfortunately I am kinda broke like nearly every Economy student is + it is Christmas and my girlfriend also swallows a lot of....my money.
So if you are in a good Christmas mood, I would be really really thankful if you got some NXT to spare so I can get started.
Every single tip is highly appreciated!

Thanks in advance and merry Christmas!  Smiley

i didnt get my nxt from dgex.com as well (about 20 hours since withdrawal so far).
Seems like there are some problems?

It seems so. Please give them some more time..

How safe is it to transfer NXT with the current attacks?

not safe. pretty sure I got ripped off.

What is the problem?

idk I bought and withdrew nxt over 24 hours ago but haven't received them. dgex said the first withdraw was completed, and doesn't say the status for the other. the client says I have 0 transactions, but theres all these unconfirmed transactions for accounts that aren't mine. I also tried going to the coinarea faucet and they said they sent me 1 coin which I haven't got either. im positive I used the right address#, they match up on dgex and in my client. it could just be that im a noob though. It took me a long time to get everything installed, and I was told to go to   https://localhost:7875/ because its more secure but I can only get on http://localhost:7874/

Could you please provide your Nxt wallet address? (the number next to the lock)

Does anyone think there would be a problem with scheduling a cron job to restart the Java app every so many hours? Or what is the safest way to restart the process without risking corruption of the blockchain?

so it is normal for me to have to run the java file every time I get back on the client?

http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=3000&acc=3662269097817803698

There should be 661 Nxt on this account, but hte amount in the blockchain explorer is 0, which I really can´t understand. Anyone with an idea?

I don't know why it would say 661. I tried to buy 160, plus the 1 from the faucet would make 161. maybe a random person tried to give me 500? I did post my address in a few threads but nobody said they sent anything

Yes, someone sent you 500 Nxt, and another one person 1 Nxt.

These amounts should be on your account. Please wait for the blockchain to get synced or you can try to delete transactions.nxt and block.nxt and try to let the server reload the full blockchain again. That´s what I did. It took around 10 minutes.
