@Jean-Luc
Would it be possible to include wesleyh´s webclient in your releases instead of the webui we have now?

then how come nobody use them and people don't know about them?
This is actually a fair question. I think the answer is that there are MANY clients, and people generally want a recommendation for ONE. Nobody wants to rally behind one to the exclusion of others, so we arrive at a dilemma. The key here, sadly, is for the "getting started" tutorials to focus on ONE, and then let people know there are many other options. Right now, it's a choice paradox: when presented with many great options, people are left unable to make a decision. This is a proven aspect of human behaviour. Exactly! I couldn't say it better. We are too much decentralised if it's about the client. We need to chose one and make instructions or something. We don't need to call it official. Just choose one so everyone can post that specific client as first. And if users are interested in other clients, we can redirect them. It is very confusing right now. Almost every coin has 1 wallet. Will you be able/available to do it? Who should be in charge of this?

I am technically not fit to help here, but I will take over the organizational stuff. Just let me know what is needed so you can focus on coding.
Could the others please also drop a line about your understandings of what James wrote in his post above?
It's not clear for me exactly what is all about, my area is networking, so hopefully I can help on that field.. Well you can fairly simulate a large network at very low cost. To Networking prototyping, it is desired to have Flexibility, Scalability, Low-Cost and Realism then basically you can have a networks simulators like ndnSIM, OMNeT++ , opnet but their are mathematical models. You can also have testbeds (expensive, they are experimental infrastructures that provide real resources for test and pilot scenarios eg.: Geni, Planetlab) and finally emulators just like testbeds, they are realistic because they run real code (applications, OS kernel, etc). To emulate that network above I would suggest then .. The Common Open Research Emulator (CORE) it has a nice gui, network tools, etc and have a documentation http://www.nrl.navy.mil/itd/ncs/products/core Thank you for your input! @jl777 can we use such a tool?

1) Who in the community has the knowledge and expertise to write in the white paper, or work out things that have been put in? Feel free to just name people. Jean-Luc, CfB, jl777, l8orre, nexern, CYIAM ... who else?Just checked, and wesleyh also doesn't have the math. Can I get more potential names? I am willing to coordinate here. Just don't ask me to do the math Edit: 2100, cool!

not supposed that we were going to move to NXTCrypto?
We can move to NXTCrypto, but this thread shouldn´t be closed at all. There is a reason why this thread is still the most active thread regarding the core of Nxt...

ATTENTION!The following roles have to be filled in order to speed up the AE development (Atomic Crosschain / AE Gateway) of James! JAVA Developer- with knowledge about Bitcoin protocol (or a really fast learner) Tester / Power User (up to 3 people) - we need at least one full time Tester / Power User (but part time would be also ok) - with some technical knowledge preferably - experience in writing testcases would be great I think I don´t have to explain why this feature is needed and what it would do with the price of Nxt... We´ve already received some positive responses, but we still need skilled coders and testers! Please let me know about your thoughts!

The Nxt iPhone app iNxtYou might know that rriky92 is working on an app for iPhone. There is currently version 1.0.7 available in iTunes. Please see the setails on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/inxt/id802351888?mt=8Riky is a young guy (in his early 20s I think), still going to the university which means that he might have more time than money. He is a talented programmer so he is developing apps for iOS. Unfortunately, he has to focus on apps, that he can sell for money. 1, Can we set up a bounty for him? We could make a feature list what we want to see in the app and offer a bounty for each feature that gets implemented. 2, We would need a graphic designer to support him creating an awesome app. Anyone available for this? What do you think? I would also like to ask you to donate him some Nxt for his work so far, so we can keep him motivated: 4894174904569783391FYI: I am trying to help him because I think we need an app for iOS. I will not receive anything for this, all the funds go to Riky (as the Nxt address above belongs to him).

Can you take responsibility for the whitepaper (and it´s development)? Or do we have someone who is responsible for it? How do we stand now?
Nobody is responsible right now. Editable Whitepaper is on our Wiki. No one is responsible = bad. Let me just ask some questions to get a clear picture, because i can't accurately pin down what is needed: 1) Who in the community has the knowledge and expertise to write in the white paper, or work out things that have been put in? Feel free to just name people. Jean-Luc, CfB, James, l8orre, wesleyh, nexern, marcus... who else?1a) Do these people actually have time and are they willing to do the work? 1b) What do they need? Are there things missing that they definitely need to get started/continue? I think the one responsible for whitepaper should approach them one by one and asking clear questions.2) Who knows of people who can do the audit and what exactly is needed for this audit? People who have already been contacted and said "no" don't count. 2a) If we don't know them, where can we look for them? 2b) I've seen names of "big" people in cryptography mentioned, but is this needed? If the proof is valid, does it matter if the "name" isn't big? This seems like an argument that only has marketing value, not mathematical value. 2c) If we can't get "big" names, is there anything to be said against taking a normal qualified person who can do the audit. We have noone to make the review, AFAIK.These are some preliminary questions, just to get the situation clear. Once that is clear, maybe we can take further steps. If I missed anything out, please point it out to me.

and what if apple says tomorrow no more crypto apps. Bad luck. What if the US says tomorrow that crypto is illegal?

Hi people, Just want to bring this up, again. How do we stand on the white paper and the audit? How can we get it done? Can I help? (or anyone from marketing?) Who do we need to contact and who can take point? We've all the things we need it seems, and the things we don't we can work on, am I correct? Can we organise getting this sorted? Guys,
I just talked to someone who went to the Tal Aviv Bitcoin Conference and talked to a few MAJOR cryptography professors.
These people basically waved him away, and don't take Nxt seriously because it hasn't got a white paper and no cryptographical PROOF of it's safety and protocols.
This is still a gap in our documentation that we have.
Normally I'd put this in the main thread, but I want to bring it up here, because this is álso marketing.
The simple question is: do we have any idea of how the audit is going, and if not, can we get it? This falls, for me, under the heading of "product testing".
If we can get the stamp of approval from academics, this is a major boost. If we can be waved away because, realistically, we have an untested product (actual use doesn't count, it needs to be rigorous mathematical proof) which can be poo-pood at will.
Can I have your thoughts on this?
Edit: nice write up, Uniqueorn!
Can you take responsibility for the whitepaper (and it´s development)? Or do we have someone who is responsible for it? How do we stand now?

wtf, bettek post ^^^^!
I reported his post as "Off-topic post". Interesting, will a moderator remove it... I reported it as "fake picture" as black guys usually have bigger dicks than on the picture, so it must be photoshopped. btw: the guy looks like lewis hamilton, haha
