Why do you want to have all the money? Share it with us...

lol fuck you, you mooching, socialist pig.

I feel sorry for you not having enough brain to understand, what I said. But I can explain it to you.
It means that Investors also should make profit (that was ment with sharing)... because they are INVESTORS, not assholes, that just give money.
And feel free, to ask further, if you still didn't get it.

Good news ! Total received is 6,499.03454139  BTC and is growing rapidly.

Good news for who?  The Ethereum team?  It's very bad news for individual investors.  The more invested, the less your Ethereum is worth

Seriously... they have now $4 Mil USD worth of bitcoin to their disposal 2 days into the IPO....   This is the biggest IPO of an altcoin ever.   That's how much money has been sucked into a void.   How is that good news for anyone BUT the devs??

Actually, this is the biggest altcoint IPO (so far)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=579797.msg6333308

I like Ethereum, I think it's an awesome step for Crypto and look forward to innovations.  But for individual investors there won't be much ROI, you're BTC is dilluted by Goldman, Ashton Kutcher, and other Big investors who can afford to throw large amounts of $ for a small %.  Ethereum won't go way up in price, it's not designed that way, it's success is based on mass adoption and usage.  This IPO is just to determine how much set Ethereum there will be before year over year inflation, etc..  Buy Ethereum if you want to use it, not for investment, that is my opinion.

yes. It's sad, that ethereum doesn't set a cap. There were so many investors waiting and supporting over months and they don't get a part of the cake.
Ethereum. Please take a look at the Crypti IPO. I see, that your system is worth more. You could set of course a higher cap. But setting none is sad.
Why do you want to have all the money? Share it with us...
1303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ASSET][MtGoxResc] Asset to rescue Mt.Gox and pay out users! on: July 24, 2014, 02:21:05 PM
Use escrow (anon136) via NXT AE. He could even split the NXT he gets with other trusted people or something.

I don't mind, if someone wants to escrow, he should contact me. I just wanted to try to get this mess out of the world.
But if noone is buying I will remove the assets.
1304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN][ASSET][MtGoxResc] Asset to rescue Mt.Gox and pay out users! on: July 24, 2014, 11:41:59 AM
Account: NXT-38F9-NS5U-PCGK-BWJGH
Asset Id:  8866097749922303209
Asset Name: MtGoxResc

Asset information:
"This asset is a try to rescue Mt.Gox. There are about 650k BTC missing. If Mt.Gox will be bought, there is a huge amount of money needed, to pay out all users. We only buy Mt.Gox, if we are able to pay out ALL users. If the asset doesn't reach that goal until the end of the year, I will buy back the shares for the initial price. The total amount of shares represent the percentage of Mt.Gox that can be bought with the funds. There will be a dividend of "new" Mt.Gox to all buyers. The current market cap of Nxt is too small, but it can change, if more people want to invest their btc in this asset."

Quantity: 10'000'000 Shares
Decimals: 3

The first Shares will be sold for 1000 NXT per share. Feel free to ask Questions. Feel also free to Escrow this.

You can buy shares with 2 possibilities (the explanations are from NEM, but its similar):
1. with a local client: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7wAe2jt1MMzYl9kam9TRFlkYlE/edit
2. over SAE: http://news.nemcoin.com/buy-nemstake-with-bitcoin/
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: eXo trading thread on: July 22, 2014, 10:10:50 PM
I will sell my 0.25 BTC 1st round eXo stake for 1 BTC. This is x4 which is a bargain.

I promise to send you the eXo as soon as I receive them - I believe I have the trust/feedback required for someone to agree to this.

contact renat0 he still wants to buy eXo
Thank you very much but I'm not interested in buying exo above 1250 btc market cap anymore.

I understand, the situation has changed quite a bit! Sorry for suggesting that!

could the dev or some escrow open a exo token nxt AE? I will pay the 1k NXT for it, if it helps.

This is to everyone.

Before we can distribute the stakes on nxt ae, we need to iron out certain things. Can we decide this lets say 7 days from today? Please get yourself involved.

1. Decide the name. I would like the stakes distributed with the correct name.

2. Confirmation of the distribution as per given by kora. (I have a concern, i have emailed to kora regarding this).

3. Total number of stakes.

4. Total number of coins. This will not effect the asset/stakes issuance but will be good to decide on this fast.

1. I don't mind. Kora is fine Ora or somethink completely different. Depends on they way, we want to go. Kora is fine, if it should just stay a clone. The name should be different, if we want to make an own way.

2. confirmation? again? or what?

3. I thought we want to decide that after AE with a poll of all current holders...

4. This is not important for AE issuing. I don't know, why you all make so a drama about that. anything between a million and a billion is fine. just a different comma placement and we will need the comma anyway...

1310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kora:: What should we do with left over stakes? on: July 18, 2014, 02:18:33 PM
I think we're getting some well considered sincere opinions on this issue, and that's very encouraging, thanks everyone!

I had a brain storm the other night that might give us a workable approach to resolve the situation. I've made my opinion known previously that my preference is to keep the remaining stakes in reserve for distribution later. The final number of stakeholders isn't known precisely, but we know it'll be ~1000 (maybe a bit under, maybe a bit over). That's enough to start building a community, so we *could* distribute ALL the left over stakes to the existing stake holders and do very well in the longer term. On the other hand, there are a lot of advantages to keeping at least some stakes in reserve for distribution later on.

What about this for a workable compromise, We distribute stakes to the ~1000 existing stakeholders based on the original calculation (i.e. 50% of total stakes to 3K stakeholders), and within the first week we use the NXT voting system to determine *exactly* what our community wants. In essence we resolve the matter using a democratic process based on one stake one vote. I really think this could be great test case for how we run (k)Ora in a decentralised fashion. Even the most cohesive communities will have issues that divide and cause deadlocks & gridlock with key decisions. We have a decentralised mechanism to deal with this, how fantastic!!

I know we already had a poll, but I don't feel that was truly representative. Only ~150 votes came in, and maybe some of those people weren't even stakeholders. I know I'm biased because the poll result was in favour of distributing left over stakes to the ~1K existing community, but this issue really is super critical, and using the NXT voting system we will know *exactly* what the WHOLE community feeling on this is once and for all. If we get the same result so be it, but one other problem with the forum poll was it didn't offer mixed combination option (e.g. 50% to existing stakeholders and 50% in reserve for future stakeholders OR 33% each for existing stakeholders, future stakeholders & bounties).

The NXT voting system can be 'per asset', so only Kora token holders would be eligible to vote, and I think having a voting system to help decide things is revolutionary for a leaderless decentralised starfish community like (k)Ora.

Later on we could attempt to design a set of rules to govern how our 'direct democracy' voting system would work long term, but for now we could experiment and use the left over stake issue to test the water a bit (and have some fun!).

What do people think?

nice decision
I agree.

+1

I think, that it does not really matter if there are 1000 or 3000 stakeholders. Maybe 10000 or 100000 would change a little.
There are Billions of people out there.

You can compare that maybe a little to microsoft having 2 offers for a marketing campaign.
One costs 1000. The other one 3000 $. Peanuts either the case.
I think it depends on the company, not on how much they want.

Also with the community its depending on the individuals not on the amount of people.
I prefer 1000 people, that care about there stake, to 3000 people that don't or lets say 1000 that care and 2000 that don't and dump...
1311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source | IPO Started on: July 18, 2014, 12:13:19 PM

1                   Crypti          Ͼ
0.001            Cyptino        Ȼ
0.000001       Crypton       Ͽ
0.00000001   Cryptoshi     ₡

So an item on the shelf that is Ȼ10 (Cyptino) isn't marked Ͽ10,000 (Crypton) or 1,000,000 (Cryptoshi) or Ͼ0.01 (Crypti)

It just helps take the decimal out of things and we already do this in the metrics system. It just may be time to bring it over to currency.

I dont know we need these symbols. the more symbols, the confused it is.

there are only a sat ,and mBTC in the crypto world.

Well there really is this
0.00000001   satoshi
0.000001      μBTC (microbitcoin)
0.001           mBTC (millibitcoin)

It's just 1 BTC isn't worth $10,000 yet so no one uses μBTC a lot yet

And just seeing how you typed "sat" to save time if Cryptoshi has a symbol like cents and dollars do. One symbol cuts out even having to type "sat" or the abbreviation for Cryptoshi... Just throwing out thoughts

everyone (who was at school) knows, what μBTC and mBTC means, if you know what BTC means. There is your metric system.

No way for those signs.
Imagine, you know Cryptsy and you maybe saw somewhere, that the sign is Ͼ (what I find kind of nice) but you didn't see the other symbols before.
I tell you something of 100 Ͽ. You would 100% think i am talking of 100 Ͼ. You don't think, there could be 2 such similar symbols...
If I tell you of 100 μϾ a blind one sees, that its not the same...

And you have to set up nearly a new language with your confusing cryptino-something

1313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT/NEM or Monero/Bytecoin? on: July 18, 2014, 08:27:17 AM
It seems to me from my limited knowledge that these are the two new competitors to bitcoin and I was wondering which one had more advantages over the other.

Mainly I'm wondering about the underlying technology, i.e. NXT vs CryptoNote. Which one has a better chance of becoming a successful alternative to btc/ltc?

Are there any glaring problems in either technology that I should know about?

How about the dev teams? Are both technologies supported by a robust and active development team?

People's main argument in favour of bitcoin is that bitcoin can always add whatever features are implemented on altcoins. But from what I can tell bitcoin is the old dinosaur very resistant to change and anything but agile. Bitcoin doesn't even seem to be interested in addressing the problems that it has, let alone adding new features or upgrades.

So what features really stand out about either technology?

Does anyone feel that either codebase is objectively better than bitcoin? Or are we not quite there yet?

I am pretty sure that all of them will succeed in some way. The market will stay shared and will be shared even more.
There will never be ONE currency, and that is good!
I think that in 5 years we will have a overall market cap of some trillions.
BTC, NXT, NEM, MONERO, BYTECOIN will eventually have a share of 5-10% of it.
High likely a share of 5% to 30% will have revolutional new ideas like maidsafe or Ethereum and bitshares.
1314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALTCOIN of the FUTURE!! on: July 18, 2014, 08:07:43 AM
Hi guys, can anyone give an idea about what ALTCOIN will dominate and succeed in the future?
In terms of its price in usd and market status. This thread is just for your opinions to be heard

If i look REALLY far I bet on somthing like:

- Maidsafe!
- Ethereum
- Bitshares

nearer future maybe

- BTC
- NXT
- NEM
- some kind of anonymous coins like Monero
Everyone starts saying NXT right as I sell mine to mitigate losses... WHY!?

I can understand what people are thinking, it's just that the past performance wasn't as good as I was hoping for, and now I'm kind of stuck with where I am. I could go pick up a bit more NXT, but I'd kinda be pushing it if there isn't much more to help it along... Why is the price dropping anyways?
it's kind of new and relatively less people are holding it
you always have high volatility, because you addict to the few people who can manipulate the market in some way. Even on BTC you see that.
But the basic trend can't be manipulated...

My advice:
- buy low
- sell high only if you want to gamble
- just buy and forget. look at the price in 5 years to celebrate. Just imagine, if you were buying btc in 2010 for 50 cent and forgot it. If you followed the price, you would probably have sold it earlier and bite your ass.
- don't sell low in any case... it will high likely bottom out and recover

1317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency - Now on Hitbtc.com on: July 17, 2014, 09:04:58 AM
Spot on - thankful_for_today is no longer involved in Monero, and despite being asked he has refused to take down both of those dead resources. Anyone can report the github repo as being unmaintained and thus containing potentially dangerous code, and maybe github will take the repo down, but the unmaintained website is going to be a tough one. Thankfully, we only link to current and active resources in the OP, so I would imagine that, with time, those abandoned resources will become less and less important.

My suggestion would be to put something in big letters on several pages, that there is a wrong repository/webpage. named maybe without linking to it, that google is not pushing it. I had the old repository and thought I had the right one, so maybe I would have found earlier ;-)

No, it's too old (despite the misleading version numbers). You're using a version of Monero that is NOT by us and is not up-to-date with the latest changes. Only use versions of Monero linked in the OP or on the website.

too old?
how come? i was checking out newest master version of git. isn't that the newest one?

edit:
I see. you were changing the repository...
https:// github . com /bitmonero-project/bitmonero
https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero

maybe you should somehow mark it as old...

edit:
what is that? you also have 2 kinds of urls?

thats somehow very confusing... i guess the guy who made it is not in the team any more?
otherwise I would suggest to remove the old things...
