So I look my FB page and it has a NEM post saying to find your real account data just click on real acount data and voila!

problem is everytime you click it you get new details?HuhHuhHuh?

WTF?

Your supposed to "verify real account data" not generate them.
As the poster before me said that's just a keygenerator that's not linked to anything.

I hate to tell you this but I assure you this coin has already failed. It's not going to be used by the masses cause it isn't user friendly. Yes for you guys it seems like it is but it isn't. I'm sorry but you won't ever get past BTT users, about 5,000. Sorry.

cmon. not everything has to be perfect on launch... there has to be space to grow
or do you really think bitcoin was user friendly in its first version? Is that why it failed? ;-)

A yet silent but promising one is also Tau-Chain (Zennet), I think:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=950309

and not to forget NEM ;-)

And what about silver coins on NXT AE , i bought 1 last summer ,before it was known that every stake will get 1 silver coin . Do i need to redeem it or what?

Yes, you should redeem. You can redeem NEMsilver or NEMgold assets this way:

1) Send asset to the issuing account (NXT-JKCL-N9PV-77XE-H5CLX)
2) E-mail us at crowdsale@altnemo.com with your name and address, and we will confirm we can ship to you.
3) You'll be asked to prove account ownership by sending a message with a random code to NXT-JKCL-N9PV-77XE-H5CLX from your NXT account. When confirmed, your order will be complete.

I thought, the nem stake owners also get some coins? won't they get tokens? at least it should only be sent one time, because shipping is not that cheap ;-)
For example i bought one coin token and have 2 nemstakes. (1 bought and 1 of my account)

Looks good and would not need to change images on vice or on the coins

Hex Globe + Hex NEM symbol = WIN

Can we get a real concept rendered already?

When will you guys realize, that its not about the logo...
Elaborate please.

do you want to say, that the doge logo is good? ;-)

btw. a logo should not be so complex. the simpler the better.
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends[Updates&Discussion] on: March 01, 2015, 07:49:28 PM

Its nice, that everyone wants to participate, but if it goes on like this, every month another "genius" thinks, he found a better logo than the current one, and wants to change it. Thats not working. A brand should be stable... and it also costs a lot of effort every time to make polls and so on...
I think this energy can be used better...
to avoid further conflicts with the branding I suggest to satisfy people with a planned rebranding after 1 year running blockchain. Of course with the option, to keep the old one in the polls :-)
1188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends[Updates&Discussion] on: February 28, 2015, 06:16:20 PM
Late redeemer here, we've got around 1 NEMstake and  the offer is very direct - please help us redeem it and we'll have NEM integrated at coinomat.com (I'm coinomat.com owner). We wanted to do it anyway, but still it would be very nice from NEM community if that could be done. I lost track of NEM developments a little, my bad Sad

pay attention to this guy

Imo deadlines are deadlines and one man's stake is no more or less than the next man's regardless of other factors. If sashas stake is allowed to be redeemed late it would be necessary to do the same for all other late claimers, in other words, have another extension of the deadline which I'm not sure if that is possible or even if it's a good idea considering the number of Times the deadline has been Pushed back already.

It doesn't bode well on nems reputation to continually modify "deadlines" nor would it bode well to offer anyone benefits over another due to their professional background or connections, that would not be setting a good precedence moving forward.

Just my opinion

I saw this coming. I think the procedure for the BCT redeems with reduced amounts after certain times is a good solution for this as well...

No one cares about innovative features, the fact is this coin is a rough copy of NXT, even the UI is the same. So what about the people who paid real money for this coin and are being treated like they are spoilt children for asking for what the paid for ina reasonable time that was promised. Leaders of coins hold all the power due to being anonomous and can really do whatever they want. Sadly not one single apology has come out of the leaderships mouths when pushed for promises to be kept...not one. New Economy? More like more of the arrogant same to me..

of course :-)
and bitshares is surely also a copy of NXT, hu? A yes. And Bitcoin as well.
The Nxt team build the software already in secret and satoshi stole their code... what a scammer...

If I didn't have a fucking clue and spoke shit English I probably wouldn't bother making comments. Clearly you feel differently.

No other argument, than blaming a german to speak no perfect english? Pity!

Edit: O my god, I even wrote english without the capital "E", how dare me...

1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New and looking to buy Cryptocurrency on: January 11, 2015, 09:26:40 AM
If you want to buy cryptos, you should buy bitcoin. It has the largest market cap. If any crypto is going to succeed, it is going to be bitcoin. Investing in altcoin is not for newbies.

You miss something.
Bitcoin has the biggest market cap and will most likely grow further, thats right.
But there will be the time, bitcoin gets unthroned of other cryptos. Probably not 2015, you don't know when, but it will be for sure, because bitcoin is not made for the future and its getting just "old" compared to others... (less features and speed, I always compare it with a 14400 Modem...)

So just think about the scenario, that you invest in an promising altcoin with a lower market cap, and if it overtakes:
If you invest in ripple, you get about 5 times profit, if it passes bitcoin.
If you invest in bitshares, you get about 100 times profit, if it passes bitcoin.
If you invest in nxt, you get about 200 times profit, if it passes bitcoin.
If you invest in supernet, you get about 1000 times profit, if it passes bitcoin.
If you invest in TileCoin, you get about 5000 times profit, if it passes bitcoin.

Ok the lower it is, the less likely it maybe gets, but still think about it. Lower marketcap can also mean opportunity ;-)
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your favorite altcoin reached $500 on: January 11, 2015, 08:49:57 AM
Sad to read that most of the profit wouldn't be spent wisely.

There are millions of things you could do to make the world a better place with money.
Noone can change anything, because without money it doesn't work, and if you get money in your hands you just think of hookers and lambos?
Seriously? Omg, grow up...

Happy new 2015

And I do not why???

LOLz KEEP Wishing. Thats what im doing.

yes, but it would be slowly about time for a new newsletter with an ETA ;-)

1195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Ripple price going mad right now? on: December 20, 2014, 11:36:07 PM
Of course you can always implement everything in bitcoin. But it will always more be a work-around. And soon a pain in the ass.
Updates are not that easy on a blockchain...
And there will never be THE cryptocurrency. I guess bitcoin and ripple will go along and others will stay behind first, because they are not enough known.
But if people realize their benefits, bitcoin and ripple will go.
1196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Ripple price going mad right now? on: December 20, 2014, 11:05:26 PM
As you know Ripple is a decentralized coin with central authority.
That means:
- it has the same new technology like bitcoin
- bankers and government will like it more than bitcoin, because its similar to their current thing
- people in this forum will like it less then bitcoin or not at all, because they know, it has a bad smell

But in my opinion:
- It will help bringing decentralization and cryptocurrencies to the masses.
- It can be a first step until people understand the whole thing of crypto before they can see, that authorities are not needed.
- it will be a good mid-term investment

and:
- bitcoin will be old technologie soon
- there will be newer blockchains like ethereum, nem and so on, that take over the lead
- the bitcoin blockchain will be like a 14.4 modem, think about it

...

In what way is what you are saying contradictory to what the previous posters have said in the things you've quoted?
Yes you can write most things in all languages but that doesn't mean people can't have preferences.
If you're reffering to what makoto said about him not being here if NEM had been written in JS then you still have no point. If makoto wouldn't contribute to a project that is written in JS because he doesn't like the language (who can blame him?) or isn't familiar enough with it that's a very valid point.

Sorry for overreacting about this topic, but I am getting really pissed on all of that discussions about which language is better in many other threads already...
As you say, it's depending on ones preferences. True.
But really: not to support a coin with a bright future just because of "it's" language is ... ridiculous ...

why is there such a low trade volume on the NXT AE for the NEMStake?

people, buy NEMstakes, or if you have, buy more !

There are generally too less shares available. I suggested already to set the deadline earlier (can also be before a release), because this it could hurt the reputation of NEM. Many people don't know, that there is only about 3.7% of the shares for trade. They think nem marketcap is only 100k$ (and maybe even dropping)
1198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption extended[Updates&Discussion] on: December 14, 2014, 03:58:09 PM
Java and JavaScript are two different languages. Nxt is Java, not sure about Qora.

nxt = java
nodecoin = javascript
quora = java (I'm surprised there are no tests there, either they have tests and didn't publish them, or...)

NEM = java

do you see the tendency?

javascript is more easy?

Hello
From my personal experience I think it is easier,
but is also depends of the context where is used
I mean what you have to do with it.

I personally hate javascript and wouldn't be here on NEM if it was in JS  Kiss

I really don't get your views and many of you still didn't get it. A coin is only a protocol. A software is only one representation of it. Anyone can write the SAME software in ANY language. No matter, if its is javascript, python or even brainf*ck. And any software can have it's bugs independent of its language.
You can do nice testdriven programming with java, but you can also do it testdriven with javascript and node.js or c# or whatever and connect to the current client. And its NOT more easy in javascript. At least not, if you want to make equally good. You could even say its harder with javascript to write clean code. In Java you have strict lines to follow, so it's harder to make a mess (of course it's still easy enough).
It's just a different way to do it. Please stop talking about things, you don't know a sh*t.

BTW: NXT and NEM Backendpart is Java an still it would't work without javascript. The frontend part is also a lot of work and not trivial and these days it can (or at least should) ONLY be written in javascript, if you want to run it in a browser.

25% allocated to devs  Shocked

are you serious? how can a coin ever have a future, when devs don't have a high amount of it...
Look at all those "1%-Premine" coins. A simple clone and still devs running away immediatelly after release.
1200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends on 29 November[Updates&Discussion] on: December 07, 2014, 08:32:32 PM

It is like the future is happening.
i find it somehow a little uncontrolled and also a little unfair. Most of the people were giving their stake back already.
As there are only 150 stakes there is only a very small amount for trade. Someone could make easily artificially market making. All others are not able to participate.
The price could rise easily 10 times (and/or drop to 1/10). Most people gave the stake back because of time pressure and now they are out...
I would suggest to set the deadline soon... do we really have to wait for the release for this?
