Seems like you are skyrocketing soon. Whats the reason?
1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 27, 2016, 07:26:55 PM
I never hold altcoins even for medium-term. I only go in when I see the pump and jump out when I see the start of dumping. I think it's late for Ether but maybe speculators think different. I'm watching from far away right now.

people like you are the reason for the rollercoasters...
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum ETH - will you buy? 2nd place coinmarketcap on: January 27, 2016, 03:57:07 PM
Ether is a shitcoin. Most obvious pump and dump scheme I've ever seen. Anyone buying it deserves to get burned.

How gullible can you be? How stupid, actually? Coin triples in value without anyone using it. It's accepted literally nowhere except for some shit exchages. It is barely covered in the news. Dogecoin had more media attention than Ether. Nobody is looking into it. 90% of the volume is on shit exchanges nobody has ever heard of like ''Poloniex''. Reminds me of Polio (disease). Looks like all exchanges with shitty names are going to die sooner rather then later. Just like Craptsy.

Ether --> will be dumped soon.

Litecoin is the only solid and valid alternative cryptocurrency. It has existed for over 4 years and is traded on major exchanges, most importantly in China. Ether will never be traded there.

Dont say: ''bitcoinlitcoinbtcltc, why didn't you warn our sorry faggy asses? *sob sob* Sad Sad'' when it DUMPS HARD and you're left holding bags of worthless Ether coin.

Sure, Litecoin might not be that active either. But it has proven itself as a valuable and useful trading instrument. If you want to invest in crypto besides bitcoin, choose Litecoin. Can't go wrong.

Guy, you might want to do a little more than looking on graphs and also research a little about the technology.

First came BTC.
Then LTC had its time, because it was slightly better technology.
Then for example NXT had it's time, because it was superior technology.

But as you see, there are newer better things coming out. And you can't compare ETH with all those other coins, because it has a completely different base. 99% of the coins use the same technology as Bitcoin and just put additional features on top of it.
But ETH does NOT EVEN NEED those bunch of additional features. It provides the possibility for everyone to write its own features on it ( or better IN it). That does not work with other coins. The features have to be implemented in the protocol itself there.

Noone knows, if LTC will stay on top positions. Maybe it will. But maybe people will simply forget about it. Same with BTC. Just BTC has the real advantage, that it was the very very first and there is already SO much adaption, that its hard for it, to die. It will probably grow, because people don't care about the lack of speed and anything. It will be solved somewhere else. I think that BTCs Blockchain itself will be less used. Instead the BTC will be transfered to something like ETHEREUM (or similar) in the future.

Maybe ETH will be dumped, maybe you will loose a lot short term, if you buy now. But maybe not.
And for a long term, you will see probably a marketcap that passes BTCs, if there is no similar technology coming out soon.
And then you will bite your ass, if you don't have any.
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum ETH - will you buy? 2nd place coinmarketcap on: January 25, 2016, 11:02:11 PM
Reported for spamming. We dont care that you lost and sold SHORT.  Get over it!

Sorry bagholder. I never shorted that piece-of-shitcoin. Find a new excuse for your selling your shit to other greater fools in a zero-sum game with no long-term potential actual innovation and adoption network effects.

If its so shitty, you probably find another place to waste your time. If you stay here, it can't be so shitty after all...
Stop fud and buy it expensive or not at all...
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: January 24, 2016, 10:23:42 PM
Everyone!

Go to Google SafeBrowsing and put in http://nem.io to get rid of this False-Positive-Attack by competitors.

P.S.: NEMNO.DE will be supernode soon. Wink

round 2

This looks like the server was compromised and the hacker removed suspicious code, so that google removes the warning. Then later he puts it there again, until google warnes again... be cautious...
1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: January 24, 2016, 10:23:34 AM
i cant get enough of this, lol cheers for filling my orders and ive set a few more traps....remember this...ETH could go down in price but whoever dumps large amounts, you will not get your coins back cheaper  Tongue
With so much happening with ETH tech wise and the behind the scenes major development  Wink , ETH will be $10+ within 3-6months, imo ETH will be number 2, worth over a $billion cap and if btc keeps fkn up we could see the unthinkable...ETH becomes #1
In this coin for the long term, accumulate as much as you can, sit back and relax  Smiley

LOL yes ETH is great and all (potentially great) but wow you guys do quite the job at manipulating the marketing and getting everyone on the hype-train to shill and buy-buy-buy now while your groupS pump it and have everyone buying now...when we all (some of us know) it'll dump back down and you guys will disappear for another 3-6 months only to pop up again to re-hype it while it's pumped back up again.

I'm all for $10 ETH but ppl need to be realistic here, so please do spread such crap. $10 in 3-6 months? lol i HIGHLY doubt it.  I'll give you maybe $2...$5 would be a super long shot even.  If BTC flies to $600usd each come halving in June...ETH will for sure drop back down.

Right now you guys are enjoying SELLING to us near 400k when u guys probably filled your bags at 160k-260k...and are enjoying profit on our backs (or those silly enough to be late to the party and be buying now).

If I'm wrong in the next 3-6 months feel free to call me out on it but given your lofty targets and how alts always pull the same shit (including dash and eth), I think this possibility above more believable than yours.

Great comment TrueAnon - I don't believe $10 in 2016....but if it hits $5....I'll be one happy camper.  Also, as an FYI - I'm here for the long haul...no selling here..i'm just stacking stacking stacking
This >>>I'm all for $10 ETH but ppl need to be realistic here, so please do spread such crap. $10 in 3-6 months? lol i HIGHLY doubt it.  I'll give you maybe $2...$5 would be a super long shot even.
Hahaha

Thats the same reason, why it took btc so long to raise to the hundreds. because there are so many doubters, that dump in between, its causing doubt on others, and the raise is postponed.
Seriously. ETH is technologically way better than BTC. You can even solve the scalability problem of btc by shifting some of them to the ethereum network.
It should be more worth. But it will take a long time for people, to realize it...
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: there is a universal wallet? on: January 23, 2016, 11:37:49 PM
ive been working on a universal wallet for some time now, its nearing end stages and most of what i am working on is bug fixing.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1006830.msg10926361#msg10926361

most of the remaining bug are thread safe operations for data storage containers that i need to fix with mutex stuff (std::map being the main container with issues im having) since insert operations are not thread safe. (some memory fencing stuff in there too but im pretty sure explaining it would just get a lot more questions)

there was a benchmark wallet i posted a while back but it doesnt have many features and a lot of the stuff is commented out because it wasnt done.

thread has complaints and stuff one it. mostly cuz ive been working on it for so long. i dont really plan on giving up on it. also its only me working on it.

It's not...

I know that you can do such a thing with NEM. With NXT is it possible?

I guess in the moment its not possible, because the server doesn't support it, but as I somehow remember, this could be a future feature.
Oh i was 100% sure that NEM's delegated harversting is working. Good to know
Yes NEM is working. I was talking about NXT.

there is also uberpay.io

Uberpay.io is similar to coinomi and i feel this is one of the better universal wallet ideas.

Based on the electrum wallet, the app/wallet will piggy back off (in this case) uberpay.io.
The app/wallet will interact with their site and you can manipulate your coins at your whim. You control your key data, and the app/wallet will create appropriate transaction data to reflect your directions, this transaction data will be sent to the appropriate block chain via their site.

You do not need to store any block chain data, and they should not store any of your user data so it's as safe as your own security.

Whilst it does require their site to be active, because you maintain your own key/addresses, in the worst case you can run and sync the full proper wallet to access your coins yourself.

are coins also staking?

Not at all. These wallets work by crafting transactions from data received re specific addresses, then inputing them into the block chain without having actual access to those coins.
They work in some ways similar to how a cold wallet might work, where the client that crafts and signs the transaction does not have access to the block chain - but in this case it does have access to the coinomi/uberpay api.

Only full wallets should stake, or specially crafted wallets.

there are some coins, that enable delegated staking(forging/harvesting). This could be done in such a wallet.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA Crowdsale on: January 21, 2016, 04:53:58 PM
It was total 930.96250857 BTC and 41'297 Jinn crowdsaled.

1 Jinn is equivalent 0.0063 BTC, so it made 41'297 Jinn * 0.0063 BTC = 260.1711 BTC

930.96250857 BTC + 260.1711 BTC = 1191.13360857 BTC

Here you calculate 1337 BTC. Could you please explain that to me?

There was bonus of 0%-15%.

1337 BTC final funding. Funny Wink

Universal wallet? What will be the purpose of same ?
And someone that trying to steal your wallet can steal all yours bitcoin and alts.. Huh

Noone steals anything. I had this idea already, before the first of the mentioned ones came out.
You just have a simple html with a javascript, that contacts a server of each coin by RPC. You need only a couple of commands and can write a small wrapper for a general coin. Each coin is then written in 10-20 lines of code. The data is stored locally.

If the coin is written good enough, then you don't have to send any secrets to the server. I think, there are some coins that need the password server-side. That also works then, but is not very safe in this case. You have to make sure, that you trust that server...

The only thing, that can always happen, is that the server doesn't do your request. In this case your transfer was not done but you don't loose funds, because the server can't change the actual transaction.

As I said, I could do it, but not without funding. Any coin developer gets money for their crypto programming as well...
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Ether can overcome Bitcoin on: January 21, 2016, 02:21:26 PM
People usually say things because they do have motives, its very unusual to see a legendary account saying bitcoin is dying but i think this is because they want to buy more btc to gain profit after the price retraces back.

No legendary has said here that bitcoin is dying. Please read the posts carefully so you actually understand them before answering.

Oh please!, visit the speculation thread

or check the kwuckduck account, he literally posts a doomsday thread about bitcoin.

I wouldn't be surprised, if those guys were payed for fud by the banks...
LoL. That's something I'll be surprised with. Then you must also believe that Hearn has been bought by the banks?

He works for the banks. That is public already.
There is no proof, that he did his post, because of them, right. But is there any proof that its not?

If the bitcoin system stays intact it will NEVER go to 0, before that I will by all...
And there will always be some people, who want to own it, because its the first of its kind and very popular.
You can compare that with old stamps. For example the "market cap" of the first stamp, Penny Black (very old, but still), is interestingly about the current market cap of bitcoin. (http://www.stampcollectingblog.com/which-stamps-are-worth-money.php)
All those stamps have literally NO worth, you can just collect them, nothing more.
Noone, who doesn't collect, will accept it as a payment, because he doesn't know it.
Can you imagine bitcoin ever being less worth than such stamps? Ridiculous...

@topic
Ethereum may surpass bitcoin or not. Depends on the marketing. This is kind of a war...
But it will have a very hard time, thats for sure. I personally think, it won't... although I am invested.
1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: there is a universal wallet? on: January 21, 2016, 10:46:05 AM
This kind of a wallet is not that hard to do, but still it needs work.
I would do it, if there was a funding. Do you think, we can get one?
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxttycoin on: January 21, 2016, 10:33:47 AM
Update

NxttyACCI distribution to Nxttycoin holders has begun today and will run for the next two weeks, if you wish to receive your NxttyACCI stake please move your Nxttycoin to your main account from Bter exchange wallet.

Thank you

Honestly I don't understand, why I have to put NXTTY to BTER in order to receive it. Can't you make an asset, that you distribute?
Isn't that the way it should be in NXT?
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tau-Chain and Agoras Official Thread: Generalized P2P Network on: January 20, 2016, 10:05:59 PM
The price-in-fiat way was announced from the beginning and mentioned all along. And I think this is the responsible thing to do. We cannot put the project's funds at the risk of BTC fluctuations. Did you see how much Ethereum lost due to BTC price change?..

Ethereum lost nothing. They just have to keep the funds until price goes higher again. Dumping is not helping here. We crypto guys are responsible for the adaption.
If even we can't live 50% rollercoasters, how can we ever get this whole shit public adapted?
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tau-Chain and Agoras Official Thread: Generalized P2P Network on: January 20, 2016, 09:56:00 PM
Hi,
Reducing the price is only to adopt the BTC price -- the price isn't reduced in USD terms and in fact always only went up. BTC went almost x2 on this period of time and the price update wasn't as high. From since the beginning we informed that the prices would be rated in USD rather BTC. Moreover, the early buyers are always taken heavily into consideration and indeed price never went down in USD terms even once, but went up a lot.
I don't think it was ever said or clued that the sale will be over after a few months - in fact it will be ended significant period of time after tauchain will be ready. The sale will be ended when the Agoras network begins (with its true coins rather intermediate tokens as exist now), and at that point of time all unsold coins would be destroyed.
The price will go up again, but after 2% weekly for almost a year, I think it's ok to hold for a period of time, also because after all it's not that we've seen extremely high exchange volumes so to speak. Also I think that the biggest public interest on the tokens will be after tau is ready and before agoras is ready.

The bitcoin price will probably raise further. So will you further reduce agoras price in bitcoin terms then? If bitcoin 10folds tau crashes in bitcoin? Did I invest in fiat?
We are in crypto space, dollar means nothing...
