Assuming the price of BTC is currently $430, and Wave has raised ~5000btc. then 430x5000= $2,150,000 market cap. That would put Waves around #33 in the list of coins on CMC: https://coinmarketcap.com/ -- more valuable than MonaCoin but less than BlackCoin. If it grows x10 to $21 million, it would start nipping at the heels of Dogecoin's marketcap. If it grows x100, it would surpass Ripple's market cap. What exactly is your point? Isn't it clear, that everything, that is new coded now, will be better technology than all those coins you mentioned? They are outriders and open the field to new things. Could someone please explain to me why the crowdsale needs to last almost 2 months?
We want to have main net after ICO ends. It has many advantages, one of them - no IOU situations. Then why not just start the ICO later so it still only lasts 1 month? 2 months is super greedy from devs trying to raise a giant dev fund. Noone knows atm how small or big ICO is gonna be, the same you can invest on the last day if you prefer to follow development, partnerships and other updates in meantime. That's not addressing my point. A 2 month ICO will have more investment than a 1 month ICO, all other factors equal. 2 months is greedy of devs and potentially fleeces investors. How will you determine a "fair" length of the ICO? I've seen people complain that an ICO was too short, and they didn't hear about it and therefore couldn't invest in the time-frame. I'd like to see a higher percentage decrease... I mean, we are talking about 6 weeks... |

The IOUs are being traded, right? So, they´re fungible at least if that means mutually interchangeable. Maybe I´m misunderstanding something.
they have no blockchain to transport the actual token from one exchange to the other, thats why they are not fungible. And I also think, they could have serious problems paying out the tokens. Maybe they even sell more, than they have... you never know... Then it means, that you have a token, that is not fungible to a real LISK later, if the prices rise too much and the exchange defaults... |
