Dear makoto,
please, tell me - why Extended redemption ended on 5/31, and not 6/30, or 12/31??
In letters to the tokens had no warning of the date, and I have,
believe me, it was a difficult period in my life, so I can't read the forums.
The last two months I did not go out to the Internet.
And now I know that you have deprived me of the steak, because confusing time limits.
I suggest you do a good deed for latecomers stakeholders and to prolong the Extended redemption..
I believe in your justice, just as I believe in the future of your NEM.
In the final list stakeholder my number - 90

I was redeeming a week ago already and didn't get any message. will you contact me?
1143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any possibility to hit the Litecoin price @ $600 ? on: June 14, 2015, 12:15:19 PM
I honestly don't think so. There are so many innovations out there, that even BTC will have a hard time to keep its first position.
I do believe, that crypto will overtake fiat to multi trillion dollar market caps, but I don't think that LTC can go along for a long time...
So we probably will see 10 maybe even close to 100 but 600 i find somehow unlikely for LTC...
1144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the LTC price hit $3? How wide market altcoin indices can predict on: June 14, 2015, 12:08:16 PM
Depends on the price of btc. If its dropping again, ltc will follow. If it found its support and rise, we can also see 5 or 10$ for LTC this year...
1145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Primecoin Rise on: June 14, 2015, 12:04:30 PM
For me this seems like someone knows something, that we don't know yet...

1147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Monero have to rebrand because of the cease and desist notification? on: June 14, 2015, 11:40:02 AM
Ridiculous. IF there was a name violation, then it would have been by moneero...
A registered trademark can be rejected easily, if someone else had already a webpage before.
1148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Perfect POS Distribution (POSID) on: June 10, 2015, 04:44:21 PM

I don't think I did I just can't see a solution to the problem. Every method can be easily exploited or too intrusive.

seems like it worked for stellar...
you can still give better alternatives. Maybe going for existing shares like clams?
1149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Perfect POS Distribution (POSID) on: June 10, 2015, 04:38:04 PM
The UNIQUE person is simply not existing in a decentralized and anonymous environment.

/thread, I'm afraid.

so you missed the main point, well done ;-)
1150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Perfect POS Distribution (POSID) on: June 10, 2015, 03:44:16 PM
Features can be programmed into any coin. The biggest problem is, that we don't reach the WORLD. We have to find a way to address everyone.

Heres my idea. I call it POSID (Proof of Stake Identity Distribution). I have it already for a while...
Please pm me at least on your release date, if you implemented this. That's fair ;-)

What is the good thing on bitcoin distribution?
Everyone can still get it "for free", if he mines it. Even now. But its getting less and less.
Early adapters have advantage. Thats good.
Of course they have a little too much advantage in this case, but in general its not bad, because they want to advertise the coin.

What is the bad thing?
Its power consuming.
Now only the people that have money can mine it. The early adapters had a little too much advantage.

How is the POS distribution?
Previous ICO attempts and giving for free attempts fail for only one reason:
They always make the ICO while the coin is still unknown. Later you have to pay more and more, to get it. Early adapters have way too much advantage.

How can we get the best out of all?
Ok. The perfect POS distribution would be, that every person on earth gets exactly 1 stake. But in my eyes thats a little unfair for the early adapters.
Why? Because they took the risk to jump in right away while others waited until its safe.
And: The coin can't get popular, because noone holds enough to say, "Oh, I want this rising! I have to advertise it!".
And people don't jump in because they think: "I can do that later anyway...". We still have to grab everyone on its greed.

So how can we get this more into the bitcoin advantage but not too much?
Simple every person can claim one and only one share for free. The shares stay free and (officially) untradeable.
All available coins (e.g. 36 000 000) are divided by several months (e.g. 36 (too much makes it too less advantage)).
These coins are then sent monthly to all claimed shareholders divided by there number. It can be programmed even in a smart contract.

So in the first month are only less shares claimed (e.g. 100). Then everone early adapter gets more coins (e.g. 10000) plus the later months.
In a later month are alredy more shares claimed (e.g. 10000). Then everone gets less coins (e.g. 100) plus the later months.
And at the end there are many shares claimed (e.g. 1000000). Then everone gets very less but still something (e.g. 1).

This provides a steady and fair growth. To push the price grow you could also put some progression in there, so that the monthly "dividend" is not always the same but getting lower similar to the bitcoin block reward getting less and less.

That sounds nice, but whats the problem?
Yeah, as you guessed, there is indeed a problem with this. It's the oldest problem of crypto.
The UNIQUE person is simply not existing in a decentralized and anonymous environment.
How can we handle this? Honestly I don't know. In my opinion we have to find some consensus, so that the share has to be granted not anonymous, like stellar was starting to do this already.

The following options I have. Tell me, if you have better:
- Facebook.
Fake accounts possible. But Facebook is trying to delete them already. If you say for example, the account has to be not older that 2014, facebook has deleted already most socks and you have potential of some billion users. Of course there are still socks, but a few could be ok. The biggest downside I see. If someone does not yet have a facebook account he can't join.

- Telephone numbers. Sending SMS for a share. Mobile phone numbers are unique. But everyone could have more (or many) phone cards. Still we will have socks. But they may be ok, as everyone can have a few mobile phones but too many are too expensive... So everyone has a reasonable amount of socks...
A problem is maybe the fakeable number, so that you have to provide a service, that sends a secret to a given number and then use this secret to grant a share.

- banking accounts
This is very far away from anonymity but the amount of banking accounts is for sure more restricted than SIM cards. The bad thing is, that in some countries people don't have the possibility to have even one banking account. Some kind of unfair.

- Government IDs
Far away from anonymity this would be still the best option of course. There were attempts like this already from some country-based coins like auroracoin. The biggest problem in my eyes is, that you have to proof every share in person. As long as there is no unfakeable personal GUID, this won't work.

I personally tend to the telephone numbers. What do you think?

Maybe someone wants to help developing it?
Here we come to another problem. A coin will not be developed, if developers don't hold a large amount of it. Even if they are early adapters, that will be problematic, because its not that much. Developing is expensive...
Maybe we can safe a few percent for them.
1151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [START] StartCOIN 2.0 - The digital currency for crowdfunding on: June 10, 2015, 11:27:10 AM

just in case anyone is in any doubt, and this should probably have it's own thread started in altcoin section, not announcements where nobody sees...

Karl Gray is a mother whale
he has 100,000 btc, he speaks at major conferences, he is one of the earliest btc adopters and a financial collossus

he along with other whales took litecoin from few cents to eventually $40+ each or whatever it was at peak

startcoin he has publicly stated is his chosen altcoin, he beleives in it and the platform and has been saying for months
he is setting up a 50 million $ fund for startcoin, bttf and startjoin

again, really needs own thread for this if anyone wants to discuss in more detail and welcome comments in main altcoin section, not this crappy announcements bit lol

Karl Gray twitter is @paradimeshift

Well said. I have found that there is very little interest in discussing Startcoin in the main altcoin section as most of the people there only want to pump their own coins, and are not interested in any long term investments. The altcoin scene has become so corrupted by scammers and pumpers that close to nobody takes anything serious anymore. But I can always try once more when time permits.. Smiley

I am just curious. How much did you pay him for twittering that?
1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread -100% Original Codebase - Over 70 Active Team Members on: June 10, 2015, 07:24:32 AM
Why

Nem price is going so down???.

Why

people are not patient???.
1153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Top 5 Cryptocurrencies? (2015 version) on: June 09, 2015, 11:08:13 AM
Best thing about threads like these are that they are a good indicator to shrewd long term investors which coins to avoid.

The level of aversion should be directly proportional to the frequency of mentions.

Wrong. For example I was reading this kind of thread last year in march and they mentioned DRK the most. I bought a few, but I am sorry, that it was not more...
Of course it makes sence, the most mentionend is something most people believe in.
Of course you can fake that with a lot of socks, but in general its a good indicator...

Here is the list with the (imho) greatest potential of raising:

1. NXT - The most accepted 2.0 coin with that low marketcap? Here was already a LOT of selloff. I expect 10x-20x on the next btc bubble
2. Ethereum - maybe on release a little selloff but then I think we can see here 10x easy
3. Bitshares - here was a selloff. I expect 5x on the nxt btc bubble
4. NEM - a very nice project and probably due for a big raise on the next major release. I would like to put it higher, but as it is very low ranked yet, there are some risks. can easily go 100x but can also die if people don't believe in it...
5. Stellar - a very wide spreaded coin that has still a low market cap. I guess it will skyrocket soon. But here is also a chance for fail...

Also good potential: Crypti, Dash, Ripple, BTCD, Clams

and a comment to monero/BCN:
here could be also a good potential. Problematic is the "I was first" (but secret and that means like premining) mentality of BCN against the open Monero community.
I personally don't like pow anyway, thats why I have not much of both. Just for the case...
1154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [EKN] Elektron - EKN - ElektronFoundation TOR MARKET - Bittrex - Cryptsy on: June 08, 2015, 09:57:04 AM
Another ICO-dump coin FCS, which started later than EKN, seemed to have fared much better and bounced to the moon.

Note the followings are quote from the other thread "Re: [ANN] CRYPTO FOCUS - Masternode, Anon Tx"
Wow. real life cryptos story.

Around 8000 Sat on ICO in May 2015, dropped to as low as 302 Sat on June 2, 2015, now jumped to 23000 Sat (After reaching 35777, i.e. 100x) in 4 days

that is what crypto is all about. That is why we love crypto Cheesy

Both dropped to about  exactly 1/50 of peak values ( 15000 Sat-> 302 Sat@FCS; 10500 Sat-> 200 Sat@EKN) but the FCS dev at least somewhat showed up and FCS has had reincarnation very quickly but EKN has not.
unless there is a takeover, this not gonna happen.

Dev is probably on his new yacht for a certain time. But he will come back, if most of his money is spent.
Then he can buy back all coins very cheep and can get rich again while developing further, because you were not holding them ;-)
1155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread -100% Original Codebase - Over 70 Active Team Members on: May 28, 2015, 09:07:55 PM
When there is Nem AE the first asset there will be NEMcredits, there will be very popular this asset as it every week will decrease in quantity by 1% that, respectively, will raise its price always only up and up. I predict market capitalization of NEMcredits the exceeding market capitalization of BitCoin. And here and about our interest-free credit system learns the whole world about us. Then we will credit all, especially the price will be very high this asset of NEMcredits. It will allow to credit in the future even huge infrastructure projects within development and hardening in the world of the crypto NEM platform with its already real infrastructure. Many large world companies will besprotsentno be credited at us then.

I predict still an advance in price of the coin of XEM in a consequence of a demand and demand for interest-free loans of NEMcredits. Here concerning growth on how many XEM will go up in price because of crediting, I don't know yet and I won't undertake to guess. But if NEMcredits on capitalization overtake BTC that and XEM will many cost as to use crediting XEM need to buy in the beginning.

...

Sorry, but I don't get it. How do you want to "decrease" the amount? If I buy 50% I'll have it until the end of the world.
And even if so. See following example:
Lets assume there are only 100 of a coin, that are worth for example 100 $. And somehow you manage to remove 1 coin out of that pool, so that you have your 1% decrease. All coins may raise this 1% in price to 1.01$ but the marketcap will still be 100 $ and for sure not exceed the one of bitcoin.
I guess you have to rethink about your idea.
1156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GEMZ]| SOCIAL MESSAGING APP THAT PAYS | iPhone Beta is Live | on: May 27, 2015, 06:28:19 PM
I thought you might do better with everyones million dollars in Bitcoin. Can't release an app?

whats your point fudder? The app (android and ios) is out and its working... improvements on the way.
1157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread -100% Original Codebase - Over 70 Active Team Members on: May 27, 2015, 06:19:57 PM
LOL looks like someone didn't like that I mentioned the silver coin scam in the ournem group.

Quote
Sorry jadedjack, you are banned from posting and sending personal messages on this forum.
This ban is not set to expire.
Oh come on, don't play dumb now... You started to delete tutorials you wrote for the NEM community, because you are not happy with the node reward draft (you fear that you don't get node rewards for the 14 nodes you were running). You tried to delete github issues which you wrote, too. I will stop here.

Nobody is banning people for critisizing the silver coin idea. If that would be the case, a lot of users would have been banned by now, but in fact nobody was.

It's sad to see a person like you go, but this attitude is just not acceptible.

By the way, from development contract:
Quote
f the allocated stakes do not reach a high enough value to fund the project (to pay the mint and cover all costs [shipping costs etc.]) until V1 is released, the complete fund will be transferred to the community fund.

No, it was your and others f$ck you response to me. Like you community have done before

You mean someone is not allowed to delete their own posts and work? Do your own work.

It is pretty scummy of you to take my work and repost it after you know I want it removed.

That is why I mentioned there are people waiting anxiously for the price of xem to rise so they can pull off the silver coin scam. This is the reason for requiring the 3 million deposit for a node to qualify for rewards. It is a scheme to pump up the price of xem. There is no other reason for it.

Would you please stop childish accusations and spreading bad karma (I mean the real one)?
The main reason for the 3 million deposit is clear. It's against botnets. And there are probably more reasons...
And can't you be patient? If the coins program will work out, we are discussing about literally nothing.

BTW: deleting work, because of not granting any more is ridiculous. Are we in the kindergarden?

1158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New currency for Liberland on: May 27, 2015, 06:30:52 AM
We need a premined currency, all the money from sold coins will be given to Liberland government.

that doesn't sound liberal at all...
For gods sake please don't make a new one, if there is no invention. There are already more than 500 out there. Crypto can't succeed, if we don't find a consensus, in what we use.
There will be more currencies, but more than 20 or 30 (maybe 50) is ridiculous.

Please choose one of the already existing currencies.

My choice would be one of those:
Bitcoin (oldest and most spreaded coin)
Dash (old and most spreaded anonymous coin)
NXT (oldest 2nd gen coin base)
Bitshares (old and enhanced 2nd gen coin base)
NEM  (newer but more enhanced 2nd gen coin base)
1159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are best suited for decentralized apps? on: May 21, 2015, 11:12:05 PM
For a fully decentralized app you need to store every sensitive data in the blockchain. At the moment the shortest block-times are at 10 seconds. For every writing operation you will need to put it in the blockchain. And thats very slow...
It simply doesn't work yet, if you want to run really heavy applications... that will take its time...
1160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are best suited for decentralized apps? on: May 20, 2015, 09:04:52 PM
Which coins are best suited as a framework for totally decentralized apps and why?  Not centralized apps that communicate with a blockchain but completely decentralized apps.

I guess even ethereum will allow only a marginal use if its finally out.
We are still in the beginning. It will be like a 14.4 Modem downloading a movie, if you want to run too complex things on it.
