Bitsler:: Haven't chat too much. But good chat as well with well supportive mod. Friendly user there. Some angry people everywhere. Mod always tries to keep chat clean and arrange chat game. It was the only chat that I used, and was a fun experience. The users are fun, mod is online when people need it.

Great article. Bitcoin is just a name that make sense. And it was a great opportunity to register the domain .com. I still think incredible as no one has until today found great evidence about who Satashi was.

Someone managed to get bitcointalk.org listed on a prominent after market domain sales platform. Then all the domain registrars started marketing the site as for sale.
The warning was added to make it clear the site wasn't for sale, hopefully to prevent people getting scammed and also as evidence should registrars do anything strange and transfer the domain to someone else.
tks I do not know if that was the case, but sometimes I get advertising for .org and .com domains. But when I go to see, it is other endings that are for sale as .IO or .XYZ.

How long has this phrase been in the forum footer? First time I noticed her was today. Does anyone know the reason?

I guess it's all related to how stable a certain country is. In case of Nigeria and countries like that, it makes sense to run your site elsewhere because it significantly reduces the possibility of being raided by your local authorities.
Don't forget that another important factor is bandwidth. It's safe to say that African and certain South American countries can't provide you unlimited data combined with a reliable connection, and if they do, it's outrageously expensive.
There is too much risk and cost involved. By simply renting US or EU servers you work around all the problems effortlessly. Unstable governments are a problem so it's definitely not worth trying to push their buttons.
-stable country -oppressive regime -unstable government The curious thing is that in my concept, people who use Bitcoins in countries with oppressive governments and that control the most diverse means of media should be much more paranoid and always try to run their nodes.

The real news is the method they're going to use to store the private keys. Shamir's Secret Sharing Scheme is a reasonably simple, low-tech method. But revolutionary and extremely safe; In cryptography, a secret sharing scheme is a method for distributing a secret amongst a group of participants, each of which is allocated a share of the secret. The secret can only be reconstructed when the shares are combined together; individual shares are of no use on their own.
More formally, in a secret sharing scheme there is one dealer and n players. The dealer gives a secret to the players, but only when specific conditions are fulfilled. The dealer accomplishes this by giving each player a share in such a way that any group of t (for threshold) or more players can together reconstruct the secret but no group of less than t players can. Such a system is called a (t,n)-threshold scheme.

I was trying to translate the OP ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089777.0) for my local board, since it's an important topic for all to see, but I'm having issues when trying to include the recovery email in a forum post: A trimmed version of the email appears on screen when previewing the post: recoveries...@bitcointalk.org (recoveries_2019_ t727d@bitcointalk.org -> with a space just to be able to post it here). Any idea why it trims characters? (it seems to interpret the email and does something weird with it, whilst the OP does not have that issue). Thanks. I was having the same problem. Apparently, it is a security option to make it difficult to copy and past and require the link to the original post. I translated to Portuguese the two posts for account recovery. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5089888

My account <account> has been hacked/lost. Please reset the email to <email>. The current date is <date>. -----BEGIN SIGNATURE----- <insert address here> <insert signature here> -----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Here is the unedited post where I posted that address: ...

Desculpe o atraso!
Account recoveries are moving again We've streamlined our processes, and Cyrus has put together a team for handling these cases, so account recoveries should now be handled at a reasonable pace again. Additionally, we will be somewhat more lenient in recovering accounts without signatures, though signatures often will still be required, depending on the situation. If you have a locked account, send a new email to the @bitcointalk.org email address given in your "account locked" error message. (The email address changed a few weeks ago.) If you were previously sending messages to me or Cyrus, send a new email to the address here. We might try to go through the backlog of old-process recoveries in the future, but for now you should send new messages. Sorry for the delay!

Update: Jon Jones tested positive for steroids. This UFC event is being moved from Las Vegas to california due to the nevada state athletic commission declining to license Jon Jones to fight @ the event.
Its been said by USADA that Jon Jones positive steroid test represents the same steroids that were in his body the last time he tested positive. His system hasn't completely cleansed itself of the steroids yet.
I can't believe this is happening. So much drama surrounding Jon Jones. Always.
Alexander Gustafsson Verified account @AlexTheMauler 16h16 hours ago More Now we all understand why u didn’t take the Wada test! U can be on rocket fuel,, I’ll still gonna finish u Jon! Drama sells. And what the UFC needs is drama, media, and discussion. The fight lasts a few minutes, but all the repercussions of before and after last for days.

A fox é a lanterna dessas 6 nesse momento.

The session already exists. But p2p negotiations are increasingly rare. The problem is that there are several limitations that are difficult to improve because it is a forum. It is not a platform for that purpose.
The exchanges do not implement KYC just for fun. There are legal reasons for this. Reddit banned most of the subs that were dedicated to trade in goods because of the change in legislation. Unfortunately, I do not believe there is any motivation to improve the exchange environment within the forum. Because, eventually, it could run into serious legal restrictions.
In addition, trade fiat-crypto is very difficult. Because it requires someone to put a lot of trust in another person they do not even know. Paypal is a risk with a term exceeding 40 days. So are bank deposits. And send crypto someone always needs to send first.
Escrow is a solution. But not all are reliable or cheap enough. It could have some improvements in the marketplace sessions. But the basics for negotiations are there, including the Trust system which leaves the forum a better environment than Facebook where trust does not exist and it is easier to impersonate someone else
