I am radically against corporal punishment, but after reading posts like OP's, I consider calling my principles into question.
How about a 1 merit fee for starting a thread. This would clean up Meta and most shitboards within a week, and the remaining megaspamthreads could be defeated with conventional weapons. This might make it difficult to account recovery topics. But maybe it could just have two pinned posts where each user could put their information to get the account recovered. And another post to complain when their account was banned. But beyond Meta, such an attitude would help especially sections like altcoins discussions. It is very clear that there are several topics that are created by a newbie and several alts comment next with standard answers. It is usually a topic with a simple question. I think this suggestion is very simple and probably easy to be implemented. |
