1221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralization? Yeah, right. Bitcoin is not even decentralized. on: January 09, 2016, 07:17:46 AM
because they know if people move over to "liquid" then the demand for bitcoin would die.

Liquid is just another alt.  And unlike most alts, it is a fucking piece of shit alt that won't work.  And they like to say that Bip101 is an alt.  Hahahahahaha
1222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralization? Yeah, right. Bitcoin is not even decentralized. on: January 08, 2016, 09:09:11 PM
Another baseless shitpost. These two "clowns" have contributed more to Bitcoin than what you'll ever do. Just for Confidential Transactions by Gmaxwell and SigWit by Peter deserve a lot of praise. Also they aren't centralizing shit. If you don't like core, go run an XT node, no one is forcing you to run a Core node. And lets remind again the fact that Lightning Network is still the best thing we have to scale Bitcoin worldwide, meanwhile those hating can't come up with something better (raising the blocksize does absolutely nothing in the long term, and periodically hard-forking is stupid). This has been discussed a million times already to be honest.
'the best thing'. Sure, it is the 'best thing' if you are an equity owner of Blockstream which intends to charge people money to use their network - a network that is only needed if the bitcoin blockchain is crippled by 1MB blocks.

I am glad those guys contributed.  Awesome.  No doubt they have contributed.  But, now they want to own bitcoin.  That is raging bullshit.

Easy solution : Move to Bitcoin XT or use altcoin
Moderate solution : Make petition for bitcoin developers to keep bitcoin decentralized
Hard solution : Give a lot of money to bitcoin developers & ask to develop bitcoin to be better & decentralized
Impossible(?) solution : Make new BIP proposal or make altcoin with good innovation

Also, while blockstream is not fully decentralized, but it isn't part of bitcoin itself, so you just can avoid it.
But, as long as these two clowns have a stranglehold on the blocksize - the Lightning network is more needed.  If they would stop blocking blocksize increases, they would lose their demand for that shit solution.
1223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Decentralization? Yeah, right. Bitcoin is not even decentralized. on: January 08, 2016, 05:33:42 PM
It is actually being overrun and taken over by these two clowns:

•Pieter Wuille
•Gregory Maxwell

"Bitcoin Core: a project run by two men"  - Please read this

Blockstream is a disaster for Bitcoin.  It is a privately owned company who gained access to the commit access for the Core.  Now, they are using that commit access as a blocking tool to cripple bitcoin with 1MB - for the purpose of making their private Liquid system more needed.

This is bullshit.

We need to stack the Core Dev team with guys who aren't working on private projects funded by private interests that have objectives that conflict with a good solid working Bitcoin.
1224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING: abnormally high number of blocks generated on: December 27, 2015, 04:18:59 PM
I am not supposed to say this, but...  (I am also not supposed to know this)

Spondoolies has just begun testing their SP50 chips.  They low-balled the performance expectations, now they are killing it.  Good news, Spondoolies is honest and not likely to be involved in any 51% bullshit.  So, everyone can relax now.
1225  Other / Politics & Society / EU = stupid on: December 22, 2015, 04:52:55 PM
So, this is how it goes in the EU...

"Gee this Bitcoin stuff is complex and hard to understand... let's make it illegal"
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/3-members-euro-parliament-call-stricter-bitcoin-controls-prohibit-virtual-currency-exchange-transactions/

What are they thinking?  For what purpose would a politician think making illegal a remarkable new technology, for which most applications are completely unknown?

The very good news is no matter how hard the church or state has tried in the past to suppress science - they've always failed.  I don't even think these laws even slow things down.  Thank god our politicians are so powerless.
1226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shift - Bitcoin Visa Card - now available in the US on: December 22, 2015, 04:35:22 PM
Coinbase is playing really smart, I just hope they do not suddenly go Mt. Gox.
What?!  Mt. Gox was run by some fat French fuck who was a coding buffoon.  Coinbase is a big professional company with loads of employees and very professional management.  Very big difference.  Coinbase isn't going Mt Gox.  That you can't tell the difference indicates you are a perfect scam target.  If I were a scammer, I'd aim straight at you.
1227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Seibert - uh oh on: December 18, 2015, 03:33:21 PM

Quote
Trendon once thought of firing Seibert as the case dragged on, breaking his morale. And obviously, because he didn’t have the money! He just wanted it all to end.

At this point, Seibert told him that,

“The second I am gone the SEC is going to move for summary judgement. They’re going to win a $40 million dollar judgement against you. They’ll put you in handcuffs right away after pressing criminal charges.”

That's all a bitcoiner needs, an attorney who can't spell 'judgment'.  lol - you know you are fucked when your attorney advises you: 'if you fire me, they take you away in handcuffs'.  WTF?
1228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we spread Bitcoin effectively. on: December 18, 2015, 05:57:45 AM
If you want to spread Bitcoin effectively, find a way to integrate it with Herpes.  That shit spreads like wildfire.
1229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Death to Bitcoin* on: December 09, 2015, 02:46:46 AM
Since when has the Bitcoin foundation done anything productive? Last I checked they paid the core devs, but then they even left. What do they even do now? I don't think people will care if the Bitcoin Foundation goes away, and it certainly won't have an effect on much. Although I suppose mainstream media will be all over it about how "Bitcoin is dead" since the Bitcoin foundation will have just stopped.
Today, all the money goes to help get Brock's projects going.  It is really an umbrella to help his personal investment interests.
1230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Death to Bitcoin* on: December 08, 2015, 07:36:27 PM

$12k to get on a plane for a few days? guess he stayed at the hilton

It costs between $150 and $500 a night to stay at one of the London Hiltons. That leaves a remainder of more than $10k to explain. Did he fly there and back by a personally chartered private jet for his exclusive use? I bet you could afford one of those for less than 10k. Politicians are always getting caught fiddling their expenses, and the Bitcoin Foundation seems to have taken a leaf out of their book.

The corruption is just shocking.  Good that the money is all gone now - at least this means the stealing will certainly stop.
1231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Foundation spends 31 BTC flight ticket to London??? on: December 08, 2015, 04:50:11 PM
thougts?

Well, they're an inherently corrupt cohort aren't they.

  • Convicted child pornographer (Brock Pierce)
  • Former bankers with ties to pay-day lenders, Coinbase and PayPal (Meyer "Mickey" Malka)
  • Freemason as Foundation chairman (Bruce Fenton)
  • Fundamentalist Christians (Elizabeth Ploshay)
  • Bitcoin terrorist (Gavin Andresen)

They're a real class act, who could have predicted that they would be spending money that doesn't belong to them on frivolous (and possibly fraudulent) travel expenses.
Complete lies.  Ploshay is a Jew.
1232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Death to Bitcoin* on: December 08, 2015, 03:54:05 PM
*foundation.

Well, I guess it is about time this organization finally starve itself from inefficiency and inefficacy.  It looks like the Bitcoin Foundation is probably on it way out.  http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-foundation-running-out-of-funds/

Good riddance?
1233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone help me figure out who sent this? on: November 22, 2015, 05:49:05 PM
Hey,

Many thanks to all and mostly to user "Quickseller" who got the answer I was looking for.   This finally does all make sense,  I was expecting a payment from them only in the morning, they just paid out sooner I guess.  Also, if anyone would like to give a go at my question in mining that would really help me.  A nice Sunday to all, Louis

As a general rule I would suggest that you not have more then one person/entity send BTC to the same address. That way you know with a greater amount of certainty as to who exactly a certain transaction/payment came from. This is especially true for if/when you start dealing with people who are less then as reputable then someone like antpool/bitmain

Unfortunately I am not familiar with the S7, nor familiar enough with mining to be able to help you with your other question.
This is very stupid.  Making a new address for each transaction is wasteful.  If you do this, we will soon run out of addresses.  It is better to use the same address many times.  Then, transfer those multiple receives to a paper wallet in the cold.  Don't use up tons of addresses for no reason.  This is very wasteful.  We must protect the blockchain and stop over use of too many addresses that don't need to be created for every new transaction.
1234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone help me figure out who sent this? on: November 22, 2015, 03:15:57 AM

What the fuck is the matter with you?  This is who sent this:  1m4CXFKcAqhLjKULqZeDDFCV8exBTiKxb

What, are you stupid?  Can't you read?
1235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shift - Bitcoin Visa Card - now available in the US on: November 21, 2015, 05:27:41 PM
Coinbase has recently reduced their 0 fee on maximum 25 transactions at day for their web wallet users. I dont think 0 fee will last long for this card, they just want to take bigger slice of pie and then put fee on that card.
What do you want? - a guarantee for life it is free?  wtf is that?  Go to Russia if you want everything for free.  That is how communism works.

Use the card with zero fee today.  If they change the fee and you don't think it is worth it - stop using it.  Why are they made out as the bad guys - just because they might one day make a fee?
1236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shift - Bitcoin Visa Card - now available in the US on: November 21, 2015, 02:56:02 AM
This is interesting. It is one of the few cards that will actually work in the US! Also, it is unlike other "debit cards" in that instead of funding the card with a prepaid amount, it actually deducts the Bitcoin from your account at the market rate, like Bit-x. And there are no fees for now. I wonder how long that will last.
Yes, this is a remarkable new feature.  Prepaid is ridiculous.  I like to hold the bitcoin - until I spend it.  Once the charges come in, then exchange bitcoin from the account.  This is really great.  Finally, someone understands how it should work.  It's about time, I feel we've needed this for a long time.
We have had Bit-X for a while and another company (ANXBTC I think) that provided actual debit card service by deducting the amount from your account balance and converting it to the currency on the spot. However, those two have relatively high fees while Shift has low fees comparatively.
Not true.  They just did another $100 prepay when your account got low.  Totally different.
1237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a waste of time mentioning Bitcoin to friends and family? on: November 21, 2015, 01:13:03 AM

Is it a waste of time mentioning Bitcoin to friends and family?

Your family - it probably is.
1238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ● Why Bitcoin is Not Mainstream Yet & my Suggestions! ● on: November 19, 2015, 11:32:41 PM
I don't want to break this down anymore, my advice to you is to stick around and learn more about bitcoin
So you are saying you wouldn't fuck him?  Aren't you attracted to him?  He definitely knows what attracts a human female woman.  After all, he is an intellectual.

Oh right, I get it: you like dumb guys.  Too many human females are this way.  I sympathize with the lad.
1239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ● Why Bitcoin is Not Mainstream Yet & my Suggestions! ● on: November 19, 2015, 10:21:03 PM
A true and accurate characterization of the human female woman - by a renowned Bitcoin intellectual:

...attracted to: Wealthy guys, Fashion , Beauty, Chit-chat gossip, Parenting,..."

Notice the peculiar omission of: 'cryptography nerd with too many zits'.
1240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ● Why Bitcoin is Not Mainstream Yet & my Suggestions! ● on: November 19, 2015, 08:01:55 PM
Damnit too many criticizers, but atleast they point out the weaknesses in my arguments, which I`m glad for. For this to be a good message we need to make it useable by anybody.
Anybody?  Even the human females?  I don't think they will understand anything.
