Its been two days kinda getting worried P Huh

Chill

Quote
Thank you for your patience as we gather further information and formulate a plan of action.

Yeah, 'chill'.  Seriously, they know what they are doing.  They will deliver on time and on spec.  You can take that uncertainty out of the equation.

1502  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 25, 2014, 08:15:03 PM
I don't see it that way. I see it as part of the risk if you offer paid utilities to someone. The rental agreement should include provisions to restrict or prohibit mining if the "landlord" doesn't want to pay for mining (or grow lamps, for that matter) as part of the electric.
Most criminals don't see it that way.  Justifying their crimes with clever imagination doesn't reduce the burden they dump upon their neighbors one tiny bit.  We all end up paying for your bullshit.  Taking electricity from educational institutions makes it 10 worse.
1503  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 25, 2014, 07:18:08 PM
Wish I could buy one of these but as a poor university student I definitely can't. My tuition of $4,800 could definitely buy some mining power.. Lol

If you live in a dorm with "FREE" electricity, you might be able to work a deal with someone. You host their miners and you get a cut of the earnings.  Grin

When my son goes back to school in August, I'm sending him my S1's to run for me in his dorm room.
Stealing from our universities!  Brilliant.  That is an excellent lesson to teach your kids.

You know those universities and all of society still have to pay for that electricity and that consumption takes away from other areas the university could use the funds?  That electricity does not just come free out of thin air.  It really has to be paid for.  Just because it is hard to account for this consumption doesn't mean it is somehow 'free'.

Is burdening our universities with this extra expense really worth the few pennies in bitcoin you will receive?  The one part of society that can least afford loss of resources is our educational system.

What a dick.

I invite the entire bitcoin hashing community to call out this bad and criminal behavior of using other people's 'free' electricity.  This is mere theft of a profoundly irresponsible nature.  Please stop stealing electricity for hashing.

Future batches (October) will meet our desired spec.

Guy

That's pretty funny.  That's what you said the last time.  Maybe another unexpected problem will come up.

Maybe you can say: "They will definitely be on spec.  Or the won't"

Don't worry. Your miners will arrive on time and on spec.
Unfortunately, this is the same thing CoinTerra, KnC, BFL all said.  It has about the same meaning as 'the check is in the mail!'

wait and see what they do.
then make your insults or say wow they are standup guys.

Look, I already waited to see what they did.  They said: "Seriously, we know what we are doing.  It will be in spec and on time."  Now it is not.  We saw what they did.  There is nothing to wait for.  Its done.

The deal is this, I am 100% sure Spondoolies guys are 100% awesome.  They are good guys I am sure.  But, they spend a lot of time saying: 'for sure on spec, on time'.  You can't say that stuff with so much certainty and then be amazed about the backlash.  The backlash is due.

No matter what compensation package they give, preparations were made and money was spend.  this is going to cost datacenter operators real money.  Expecially those who believed in Spondoolies big confident talk.

Spondoolies only has one way to make good on the deal.  They must STFU, go in the lab, make an SP50 and release it early and at cost to their SP30 customers.  SP30 customers don't want refunds, they don't want excuses, they don't want coupons, they want serious fucking hash power.  ST needs to man up, admit their confidence was misplaced, and make good by bringing a perfect monster machine SP50.  All SP30 customers will be 100% pleased if they get early access to next gen at a great price.

Everyone happy.

...
Thank you for your sound advice.
Calling me a troll is raging bullshit.

Spondoolies brought this on themselves by posting no fewer than thirty times with extreme confidence that it would be on time and on spec.  You can't write: 'trust us, we know what we are doing' and not expect some heat when you fuck it all up.

Trolling is one thing - getting called out for fucking up the deal is completely different.  Whether I have orders or not, doesn't matter.  What matters is spondoolies was blowing their horn of certainty mighty hard before they showed up with nil.

Learn what a troll is before you shoot at me.  But first, get your ass in the lab and fix that shit you built under spec.  The people have had enough of sending their money to big mouth who really don't know how to build things.

lol!

Spondoolies said with supreme confidence - they would deliver on time and on spec.  Well, unless something doesn't go right that is.  joke.

I bought a $100,000 joke. Again.  There is no need to trust these guys.  Words are cheap.  Its the guy who sends the money that gets screwed every time.  Spondoolies will say anything.

I actually believed it would be a Hamas missile that would ruin this deal.  Up to the very end, I didn't think it would be technical incompetence which would end up spoiling everything.  What a royal pig fuck.  Lies, lies, then more lies.

Seriously, we know what we're doing.
The ASICs will arrive on time, working. SP30 will be delivered on time and on spec.

Seriously, we know what we're doing - we're fucking the customers with even more lies!!!
1508  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 23, 2014, 06:41:57 PM

I am definitely mad bro.  Mad that I didn't get in on the SP30s.
Huh

Please allow me to clarify: I am mad I didn't get in on the fantasy SP30s - you know, the ones that don't exist.  The actual SP30s you know, the ones that don't perform, I am not so upset I missed those.
1509  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 23, 2014, 06:40:04 PM
We're aiming to give the maximum compensation to all the customers, with our limited resources.
This is just another way of softly stating bankruptcy.  They will try to distribute their 'limited resources' to 'all the creditors' as 'compensation'.
1510  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 23, 2014, 06:26:24 PM

Why are you trolling now? We need to wait a few more days for the final specs and you claim to be way way way. How do you know how much under hashrate it will be or how much over power it will be? You don't, but you are making lame accusations and you are comparing to a company that had a delay over 9 months. They said that the shipping dates aren't affected, only performance.

Edit: I do expect jimmothy to come and troll here and I understand him (he needs something to not think about his dividends), but you I don't understand.

Look, when you spend shitloads of money on these things based upon firm promises of delivery (including, delivery of performance promised), you get really pissed.

I spend a ton of money setting up a data center based upon spondoolies firm promise of certain efficiency, speed, quality.  they advertised with EXTREMELY high level of certainty they'd be different than the other guys.

Suspending sales and making that announcement about compensation isn't a small thing.  It is a big thing based on a big shortcoming.  Even though they might move mountains to please customers, they can't create money from thin air.  They have surely spent everything getting this running.  They don't have money to give back.

Spondoolies made the strongest promise of delivery imaginable.  Now, they are in trouble just like all those before them.  Even with their very good intentions, they appear to now have a serious miscalculation which will effect my operational plans.

That's not 'trolling'.  Is it true that everything said against your beloved spondoolies is trolling?
1511  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 23, 2014, 06:14:53 PM
Spondoolies Tech:
"We will deliver.  Trust us, we are different.  We will deliver.  We are not like them.  It is certain we will deliver.  For sure we will deliver.  We are not like them, we will deliver"  ---  "Oh, wait a minute, we didn't expect this..."

Just like the others.  Promise, promise, promise - Ooops!

But they will deliver!
But it will be way under hash rate, way over power, way later than expected.  We've all seen this story over, and over again.  Spondoolies isn't unique in thinking they could do the job - what is unique is their supreme confidence in bragging about being able to deliver.  Now, we see the exact same problem the others had, 'we are going to spend a few days looking at the data'.  This is precisely the step BFL took upon firing up their new systems.
1512  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 23, 2014, 06:11:24 PM

I believe in Spondoolies and I want them to succeed so I am not worried they will do right by their customers.

Even butterfly labs had good intentions.  Then, when trying to 'fix' the problem they spent shitloads of money and went broke.

Same thing going on here.  Spondoolies will spend all their profits and more trying to get this 'right' - and go broke and not deliver.  'Trust us, we know what we are doing.  We will deliver"  "Wait a minute, the simulations didn't work out"
1513  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: July 23, 2014, 06:06:28 PM
friedcat promised 0.3W/GH and it turned to be 1.1W/GH/Wall

your results missed expectations by big margin or small ?

thanks

Not that miss ...
Again, please be patient. We'll release all the information, including root cause analysis.

1514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Israel Bitcoin Conference July 28-29, 2014 on: July 22, 2014, 11:47:46 PM
Thank God it cancelled Israhell is a bloody war zone which of course they themselves have turned into a living hell by attacking innocent civilians with rockets and what not. what you reap is what you sow and isahell will never be able to become a state acceptable by anyone. The funny thing is today Swedish government did not let the president of israhell fly by Sweden or even use there airspace as the israelis are scums.
Are you fucking crazy?  Those Hamas assholes killed 3 teenagers.  I don't care how fucking much you don't like Israel, there is going to be a serious backlash when you decide to take lives like that.  I say, let the Jews open fire on the sons of bitches.  Everyone has a right to defend themselves - even if you don't like Jews, they sure the fuck don't have to stand by and take that shit from Gaza.  Time to bulldoze all of Gaza.  The place is a nothing more than a raging hell hole dump anyway.
1515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Israel Bitcoin Conference July 28-29, 2014 on: July 22, 2014, 11:15:30 PM
Regrettably, the conference has been postponed. As of yesterday I still believed we were able to make a great conference despite the situation, but the developments today with regards to flights, and the resulting cancellations, pretty much put the final nail in the coffin.

The official announcement is at http://bitcoin.org.il/files/Israel%20Bitcoin%20Conference%20Cancellation%20Notice.pdf.

I am truly sorry it turned out this way despite my earlier outspoken optimism.

sorry to hear about it Meni - but you've got to admit, you're a fucking wierdo trying to hold such an event in a war zone.  TelAviv just isn't suitable for business.  That's a fact.  Won't be for another 50 years.  If you guys don't smash every last one of those Palestinians, they are going to come back at you like cockroaches over and over again.  Maybe move to TelAviv West (Manhattan)?  At least they haven't had a serious attack in 12 years.
1516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 21, 2014, 09:10:49 PM
At the rate that Knc is going not shipping the batch 2 Neptune's yet it looks like they will owe me 3 or 4 Neptune's! Smiley

This is shocking!  Do they think that because they shipped at least one Neptune by Q1/Q2 that they have met their timeline obligation?  That is totally absurd.  'Ontime and overspec' is their claim with this performance?  What if they take another 12 months to deliver the remaining Neptunes?  They still claim to meet their timeline?  I've got a feeling customers aren't going to stand by forever.  Probably time for serious action.
1517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Israel Bitcoin Conference July 28-29, 2014 on: July 21, 2014, 03:33:48 PM
We'd need a good reason to throw our efforts down the drain.

It is a fucking war with bombs going off.  No matter what level of 'hey, everything is OK via Iron Dome'...
Come on, it will be a blast!

Thanks Meni, but that is what I am afraid of.

You could improve your list by including a link to those companies' commerce pages where the bitcoin is used.

Further, the companies who joined the list as the 'largest' at the time bitcoin acceptance began deserve special recognition.  Give them a star or something.

1519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Israel Bitcoin Conference July 28-29, 2014 on: July 16, 2014, 04:12:15 PM
So this shit has been canceled?
Why would you think that? Things are moving forward as planned.

Sorry Meni, I jinked you by asking about the safety of Tel Aviv. Something does not want me to go to Israel before I die. Well, maybe next time.
Yeah Smiley But AFAIK flights aren't cancelled yet, and I do urge you to consider coming anyway:

1. Hopefully things will be better in 2 weeks.
2. Tel Aviv is protected by Iron Dome and statistically, I think getting hit by a missile is less likely than being in a car accident. Most of us just ignore alarms. For those who are more risk-averse, Tel Aviv is pretty distant from Gaza, there's 1.5 minutes to get to shelter which is more than enough.
All the clever explanations in the world wouldn't convince me.  It is a fucking war with bombs going off.  No matter what level of 'hey, everything is OK via Iron Dome', I am happy I cancelled my trip.  Israel is a god-damned war zone surrounded by people who swear they will wipe it from the map.  Not a great place to visit for business if you're asking me.
