1461  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Pluto, S4, or SP50 - which will be announced first? on: August 18, 2014, 05:51:13 PM
What about the next gen machines?!  Of course Neptune and SP30 were both raging disasters with negative ROI.  Only the S3 was an excellent profit machine.  However, all three companies are certainly dialing it all in.  So what will the next round look like?

Will KnC's 'Pluto' be the killing system?

Will Spondoolies be able to recover from their serious shortcomings to build the SP50?

Will Bitmain continue their dominance of awesome early delivery of on spec machines with a new S4?

How do you see it playing out?

1462  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 18, 2014, 04:20:33 PM
Why not some October Rockerbox chips? Or wait for the Pickaxe?
Are the SP50's based on the Pickaxe?  I am definitely going to buy one of those.  When are they going to be announced?

I wonder if 'Pluto' will be announced first.  What about S4?  This should be a good contest in view of the newest bitcoin mining parameters.  Who will win?
1463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Official Mastercoin Foundation, Master Protocol & Mastercoin Thread on: August 18, 2014, 03:09:30 PM
Mastercoin does not need more exchanges as much as it needs blockchain 2.0 applications which can pilot at innovative businesses. Once people can see the potential of this tech in real-world implementations - then exchanges will be competing to list MSC.

The road-map doc is a big step in the right direction.
Jesus Christ - at least one guy gets it.

Who cares about day traders and the price?  I hope the price goes to ZERO!  The price going down doesn't devalue the funds (mostly BTC) held by the foundation.  The foundation only needs to spend those funds on building a fantastic application.  $15,000 spent for Polinex?  wtf?  This brings no value to shareholders.  Polinex listing, a terribly ineffective attempt at increasing liquidity was a waste of money.  Let the day traders go to Dogecoin.  Go build some kick-ass 2.0 application and stop worrying about the price. The trading volume is so thin, the price means nothing.  Real holders of MSC are waiting for a nice application to come.  They don't buy/sell in a market guessing attempt to gain a profit.

MSC PRICE DOESN'T MATTER.

Can we find a way to unplug MasterXChange?  This would help tremendously.
1464  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What can I use Bitcoin miners for other than mining? on: August 17, 2014, 09:56:22 PM
Any other cool funky ways to use it? I'm sure we have a clever community here which will know some funky ways to use them .

Doorstop
Paperweight
Target practice...
This is very funny - however the real use is: Space heater.  I can't wait for winter to come.  I'll be plenty warm this year.
1465  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 17, 2014, 07:17:13 PM
Why am I always left out?
I want to by Guy/Collider/RoadStress too!
Welcome back from vacation!  I hope it was good.  Now get back to work.
1466  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining Capacity? on: August 17, 2014, 06:40:55 PM
The pool is at 6132162.037 Ghash/s, which I think is a record.  What's everyone's harshing rate?

I have about 2GH (7 X 333MH/s)
1467  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Unplug Block Erupters? on: August 17, 2014, 06:31:51 PM
Is it now time to unplug my block erupters?  They don't make so much bitcoin anylonger.  Is the electricity too expensive now?  I pay .28 Euros for kW/hr.  I have 7 erupters.
1468  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 17, 2014, 06:00:48 PM
They always miss spec on batch 1, almost always involve massive delays, and way too frequently the manufacturer delivers obsolete kit or nothing at all.
These guys have done extremely well.

This is true.
1469  Economy / Services / Re: What ever happened to Klee's stolen coins? on: August 17, 2014, 05:56:13 PM
I was the one that opened up the Part II of his stolen coins, but he has asked me to lock that thread. Ever since, there has been no words on this case. He might request OP to lock this thread too, I just have a feeling he is complying with the thief's request to call off the whole investigation.
and why would he do that.? He got the amount of btc from hacker that he promised to send after he'll lock down the threads and forgot anything like this ever happened, If he wanted to go that road he shouldn't have reopened the bounty in first place, anyway if thats what Klee wants than we shouldn't get involved in the matter.
This is bullshit.

When a brute punches a guy in the face - it is a crime against the person (civil) and against society (criminal).  Society has a right to punish the brute for this bad behavior.  As such, these crimes are almost always prosecuted criminally (by the community rather than the individual).

I am glad Klee got his money back.  But as a member of the bitcoin community, I insist that we find this crook and punish him.  Klee can't unilaterally set him free (in exchange for money) to commit more crimes on the community later.  The crime is done and we should find and prosecute the asshole.  By Klee letting him go free, we all suffer when the next attack comes.

I invite others to join in a continue the search despite Klee's bargain with the crook to not pursue him.  Let's find this dick and bring to him that what he deserves.

1470  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 16, 2014, 10:22:41 PM
looking forward to the start of shipping of the August group buy
Keep dreaming buddy.  I don't see this happening for several more weeks.  Just like KnC, Spondoolies is giving no hint this is imminent.  Translation: 'not going to happen soon'.

Meanwhile, just run the Bitmain hardware as hard as you can.  It's the only way to stay alive.  SP30 is going down the same rat hole as the Neptune.  Will be junk on arrival.
1471  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 16, 2014, 03:18:27 PM
when next sp 30 batch will come and will it be same 4.5 ths or something different.
October batch should be 5.5th and more energy efficient as per spondoolies announcements.
Last time Spondoolies Tech made a prediction about hash rate, it was off by a mile.  How much will it be short this time?  5.1TH?, 4.9TH?  I wonder.
1472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Should NXT Rollback the Blockchain after the BTER Hack ? on: August 15, 2014, 06:36:09 PM
The noes come from people worried that a rollback implies "centralization" and people worried that businesses will shy away from adopting Nxt because of "rollback risk."

That we are even talking about the possibility of rollback PROVES NXT is garbage.  Rollback risk must be eliminated.  Stealing is a fair way of getting coins.  Been that way since robbers were shooting at stage coaches and even before.

If NXT saves BTER, then exchanges have no incentive to deploy high security.  They'll just use weak passwords and let the robbers into the servers all day.  When they are hit, they'll just run to the devs and plead for help.

NXT is totally finished if a rollback is done.  NXT is already in serious jeopardy just by their devs admitting there might be circumstance under which they'd be willing to 'rollback' a transaction.

Now, the next party to claim a transaction was 'unfair' will be asking the devs to do another rollback.  Maybe only one worth $.5 million.  Then, $100,000 transactions being contested will be rolled back.  Then transactions of friends will be rolled back.  Where is the line?

That ANY transaction CAN be rolled back is a serious flaw in NXT.  NXT is probably very dead after this.

It must be impossible, no matter how compelling the reason, to roll back a blockchain.

Sell NXT.  That dog is dead.

Showing those skills again eh?  I'm not married buddy,

I did my research - you've got your wedding ring as your profile picture you moron.

That is a ring they give to engineers after they become Professional Engineers.
You really need to get out of the basement, there is a whole world outside of video games with real shit going on.

lol damn u just owned him
The tradition is derived from the collapse of the Quebec bridge which killed more than 70 people.  Proud Canadian engineers are clearly failures and they memorialize their engineering incompetence by wearing the iron ring.
1474  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 13, 2014, 05:11:38 PM
Get ready to be pissed.
Won't help. ST already have his money. They can do what they want now.
Like for example, go on vacation with that money?
1475  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 13, 2014, 04:31:43 PM
or months ago when you placed your imaginary order for a SP30.

The funny thing is, my imaginary order is hashing at the exact same rate as your real order.  And mine cost a shitload less than yours!!!! lol
1476  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 13, 2014, 04:27:29 PM
'Shipping at the same time' - is total bullshit.

Go place an order for Bitmain HW and tell me what the shipping date is.

Go place an order for SP-Tech and tell me what the shipping date is.

Conclusion: STFU.
Thank you for the good advice.  However, I am pleased to inform you I already did that test.  Now, my DC is full of Bitmain hashing away.  Meanwhile, all I've got are negative performance reports (70% of spec Hashrate) and shipping delays coming out of Tel Aviv.
Now, who should shut the fuck up?
1477  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 13, 2014, 04:24:53 PM
I am a little confused about the voltage posts.
Do I need to find out if my voltage is actually 208V, 220V/230V or 240V since electricians seem to just throw around the number that suits them when speaking of 110/120, 220/240V and 460V?    Would the SP30 actually perform worse if the answer is 208V?

No.  208 is fine.  220 is fine.  240 is fine.  You don't need to know which it is.  The power supply will figure it all out for you and work great at any of these inputs.  You just can't expect good performance at 120V, 110V, et cetera.
1478  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 13, 2014, 04:23:46 PM
I own multiple sp30s and spondoolies is shipping every day now.

It takes some time to build ~1000 4.5TH miners.

It was obvious from the first day that groupbuy units would not be the first ones shipped in August.

There is frankly still a lot of time left in August and unlike other companies, spondoolies doesn´t only ship on the last few days of a month.
True enough.  I know for a cold hard fact that those drunken Swedes spend the entire month of August throwing up in the streets of Stockholm.  Nobody is getting a Neptune until after Sept 1.  So, at least Spondoolies has some chance of getting some work done if a rocket doesn't hit them first.
1479  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 13, 2014, 04:00:23 PM
Anyway, with them both shipping at the same time, I guess I would go for the sp30 every time.

I ordered my S3s a week ago and they are hashing today.  I ordered my SP30 months ago and they are still not manufactured.

'Shipping at the same time' - is total bullshit.  Just because you've shipped one SP30 doesn't mean you are shipping at the same time.  You are starting to sound just like KNC.  They are 'shipping' Neptunes too (lol).  Only problem is they've shipped a few and thousands remain on the assembly floor.

Bitmain kicked your ass.  Simple fact.  The only thing you can do about it is - pick your dumb asses up off the floor, put on a rally and go kick their ass next round.  Stop trying to play matters into the best light.  You lose a great deal of credibility that way.  Either do it - or shut the fuck up.

1480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Address balances on: August 02, 2014, 11:37:15 PM
I am wondering how I can get my bitcoin address to have a negative value.  Can some of you hackers out there help me figure out a way to reach realize a negative output?  This would be much appreciated.
