what the ROI for IPO investors?

It should be atleast 40%
140% - at least

Wondering if I should back up the truck on this one.

Still, 600 BTC left to buy before it closes.
In a week, this thing is going to get a shit load of press.  I wanted in for serious.  I only ended up with 100MSC investment.  I am trying to buy more now.  Got some PM offers - but not with good prices.

Where can we see the balance of our address? And how is it possible to send msafecoin back and forth?

https://masterchest.info/wallet.aspx to look up your address

Simplest way is hard wallet and a car, otherwise you can download bitcoin qt + counterwallet you'll get the info off that masterchest site

I have it running, but canīt see a single msafecoin
I also invested from blockchain. How can I see the coins in this case?

Sorry mate, they did announce this was being launched the same day as the exchange so assumed it worked

Nothing worked out in this ipo like it should.
Besides the fact that some morons are now millionairs, haha.

Wow someone who might actually get it pigs really can fly! Smiley
Mastercoin is supposed to be at .2 all month during this fund raiser.  It is a real shame that it is back down to .1.  That 'fix rate' trick failed miserably.  It made a very tricky market in the few days up to the launch - and then everything was bullshit.  I lost a lot of money because of that bullshit move.  Mastercoin can't play those games and expect no consequences.  That price fixing royally favors those in the 'know' and screws honest people just trying to operate within the rules.

I am responsible in part for Chang losses.  I told him all would be right with .2.  I sure didn't know Irvine would close MSC funding and send the price back to .1 in the middle of the night.  That was one expensive lesson.  I hope Chang didn't lose as much as I did because he was rightfully apprehensive when I told him to have faith in Mastercoin.  No more price fixing schemes which backfire to serious financial losses.  I call bullshit!

The website says, "To balance this, we decided to purchase all remaining MSAFE coins to ensure that backers who sent their bitcoins would have their orders fulfilled. This does mean that we can still accept bitcoin orders until the cut-off point at ~6000BTC." And they are at 5698 at the time of writing this.  Pretty amazing IPO.  https://blockchain.info/address/1KHfLixa2idRnZXMUfEisBati1vpywaH6E?offset=0&filter=0

6000 bitcoins. 3 mio usd. unbefuckingleavable.

do they already have a product, or is this all just a promise people invest 3 mio usd into?

They do have a lot of codes out wild now. Check their Github and I think that reflects a lot of works in the last 6-7 years. I think the tech is promising definitely more so than Ethereum.
But it doesn't do anything like what Ethereum does.  WTF?  This is like saying a rocket is more promising than a fish.  Are you smoking crack again?
1685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The LOVE and HATE of MASTERCOIN on: April 23, 2014, 04:17:56 PM
Why can't we all just get along?

Ok mastercoin and counterparty, kiss and make up.  Kiss
Lets just re-brand and call it the MasterParty

AND Congrats to MaidSafe..

Boom-sauce! Yall just got rich
CounterParty was dead long ago.  Robby who admittedly can put together some code - simply doesn't have a team.  Mastercoin has LOADS of people with a very wide spectrum of skills and these people work really well together.

Just because Mastercoin coders weren't perfectly organized in the beginning, Robby decided he should tell everyone what they 'need to do'.  Well, how's that working out for you now Robby?  CP is hearing its death knell.  It takes more than one good programmer.

Even if you hate Mastercoin, one thing is now certain, it sure the hell is one good platform for launching a MegaFundraiser.  Anyone who is considering raising money could probably just tell the VCs to go to hell.  Instead, just create a Mastercoin Smart Property and run an IPO direct off the Master Protocol
1686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann] Safecoin maidsafecoin on: April 22, 2014, 09:02:51 PM
I hope that guy NayDog or whatever he's called is alright he said he lost 1000 bitcoins and has been offline for 6 hours since.
Yeah, I am alright.  I didn't 'lose 1000 bitcoins'.  It was only 720.  And it was mastercoins - not bitcoins.  I wanted to invest 720 Mastercoins - but they closed us out very early this morning.

If they closed because they were sold out before I woke up, then tough shit for me.  But if they rigged the buying against Mastercoin holders after people were buying them during the two previous days, then I think MaidSafe should do some serious explaining and recompense.  You can't change the rules.

MaidSafe will have a serious unpleasant stank hanging around for a long time if they don't fix that little defect to the satisfaction of participants.

I doubt there would be any drastic changes to the crowdfunding rules , because that would literally mean the death of the project before it even gets started

Agreed, but unless there is further clarification there seems to be good evidence that drastic changes did indeed happen without notice causing losses for individuals who trusted the original fundraising framework. This could effectively kill maidsafe and raise some questions about mastercoins involvement.

They will be forced to accept MSC at .2 for 30 days in agreement with their own rules.  I am pretty sure of that.

If not, I suspect they will find themselves in a very difficult position indeed.

My suggestion, go buy 'cheap' MSC now.  It will be worth .2 in a few days after Irvine realizes he can't just fix the rules as the deal is being executed.  The rules were set.
1688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann] Safecoin maidsafecoin on: April 22, 2014, 03:00:10 PM
I don't see how they can't break the deal to be honest. I would appreciate them sticking to their terms, (and might argue loudly for it) but how to iron things out so that people won't feel tricked is going to be difficult.
Not difficult.  They announced the rules.  Those rules were available for all to see and understand.  They must stick to those terms.  They cannot change the terms in a material way which cause severe losses to those who relied upon the stated rules.  I too will argue quite loudly.

Now everyone can understand the function of regulation.  Regulation would put in place the conditions which prevent those raising funds from changing the rules midstream - causing losses for many.

David can't just unilaterally declare the previously promised .2 invalid.  This is complete nonsense.  He will learn a very hard lesson if he doesn't (within 24 hours) withdraw that change to the scheme which was widely advertised and promoted all last week.

So this is an argument which wants a group of people who have equally invested to be given less - to be disadvantaged, for what...?  Why would you want that?  I can't see there being anything fucking 'wrong' that a decent person would object to if;
-nobody gets any less than promised
-btc investor reward is raised to be representatively fair
How could that not be the right way to go forward?
The rules were clearly stated in good time.  We didn't set those rules.  Whether they were 'fair' or 'unfair' according to you or others doesn't matter.  These were the rules set forth by MaidSafe.  These were the stated terms of the deal.

Many people relied upon those stated rules.  That reliance upon the rules was proximate cause of the damaged suffered by those who relied upon the rules.

You can see where this is going.

What of it Irvine?  You want to comment about this?

I doubt there would be any drastic changes to the crowdfunding rules , because that would literally mean the death of the project before it even gets started

The rules said: 17000 MaidSafe for 1BTC and 3400 MaidSafe for 1MSC; i.e. .2BTC/MSC.  This is why the MSC price rose and nearly reached .2 (as anyone would expect) in the days preceeding the sale.  Then, it was announced via google groups that they would not accept MSC and would not exchange MSC for 3400 MaidSafe in a clear contravenance of the rules stated.

Those who prepared themselves by relying upon the rules and buying MSC to participate in accordance with the stated scheme - were left holding a bag of tokens having severely diminished value - up to about 50%.

Once you set the rules - you can't change them.  A deal is a deal.  Well, unless you are Scottish I suppose.  Then you can just move the goal post about as it suits you.
1689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MaidSafe Scam!!! on: April 22, 2014, 02:48:54 PM
MaidSafe ran a fundraiser on MSC which was slated to start today.

According to the rules set - Mastercoin would be exchanged at a rate of .2 BTC.

For the last two days, many people bought MSC in anticipation of the offering.

Then, in the middle of the night (PST) very early into the sale, David changed the rules abruptly and would no longer honor the .2 rate without prior announcement or notice.  This was a great disadvantage to all who had purchased Mastercoin in preparation of the sale as advertised.

MaidSafe should prepare and announce a remedy.  Failure to do that quite swiftly will invite adverse action against MaidSafe.  I think David will be anxious to avoid that.

Where is the link about the changed rules? So far it only looks like they dont want people to send more mastercoin, but I still haven't seen any word that they flat out no longer ACCEPT mastercoin.
Don't worry.  They are going to accept MSC at a rate of .2BTC for 30 days in accordance with their announcement.  You can't change the rules in the middle of the event.

The upside of this being that if you felt like you'd missed out, the opportunity remains to send Bitcoin and it would seem from David that you could be reasonably sure of not being at any disadvantage by doing so.
Yeah, but I spent all my bitcoin yesterday buying MSC at a discount.  David announced the rules, I believed him at his word and I prepared myself for this moment now where I have in hand loads (1000 MSC) to buy MaidSafe.  Now, I wake up in the morning, with no notice whatever to find the rules have been swiftly changed in the middle of the night!!  Not only that, this rule change has caused my mastercoin value to crash from .18 to .09.

Should I bare the burden of this surprise rule change - or should MaidSafe?

Sorry David, you can't change the rules in the middle of the night to the severe disadvantage of others.  I think this is going to come back on you in a very serious way if you don't reopen the MSC @ .2 very freaking fast.

1695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann] Safecoin maidsafecoin on: April 22, 2014, 02:04:34 PM

No, I will post soon, just finishing some parts of the back end. We will make sure everyone gets fair treatment and BTC backers are well looked after. Mad just now, the computers are not quick enough, but I will be back to post soon. It's unbelievable and everyone is gonna be happy I think
What does that mean?

I sent MSC instead of BTC based on the price that yourself have choosen. I hope you won't break the deal that yourself have set up.

Yeah me too I bought yestarday at 0.175, if the deal is breaked I will loose money and be angry.

BTC investors had the choice to sent MSC instead, the only huge unfairness would be if the term of the contract retroactivly change.

This is a SCAM!!!

It is 7am PST.  I am ready to invest.  I spent all day yesterday buying MSC at prices between .17 and .19 so I'd be ready to buy MaidSafe (at a nice discount wrt the set rate of .20), according to the rules announced, early this morning.  How I have shitloads of expensive MSC - and I am not allowed to use them.  What kind of a trick is this?
1696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann] Safecoin maidsafecoin on: April 22, 2014, 12:05:38 AM
Guys, am I right? Look, I need to send btc from wallet and then I'll get MaidSafeCoins. But how can I get them if my wallet is btc? I do not understand really. Also I should download mastercoin to send my MaidSafeCoins to an exchange. But how my coins, that I'll got from my btc wallet can be sent from mastercoin wallet? Pls help me to understand
Think of your BTC address as an address which can hold many things.  Just like you can park three cars at your single home address, you can park MSC, MaidCoin and BTC on a single BTC address.

Just make sure you have the private key.  If your BTC address is at Coinbase, you don't have the private key.  You must have the private key to a BTC address and then that is your address for everything.

So... it's been a month and not much action here. Is this project still alive?
Dead.  Been dead for a long time actually.  Now it is mostly just KillerShitStorm's little hobby project.  We get a line or two of code every time he gets a day off.  But, it was never really a serious project anyway so no one is surprised.  Colored Coins has always been nothing more than an interesting curious concept.
1698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT coin - A total scam? on: April 21, 2014, 11:24:22 PM
At just over 2 cents a piece I think there's still plenty of time and upside for NXT if you're a fan.
Nobody wants to buy something where the 'founders' have a pocket full of them just waiting to sell and buy a new Mercedes.

Don't worry about it.  I already bought my new Mercedes this year from my other crypto investments.
Another NXT whale with a new Mercedes.  That ought to make noobies feel good about joining your scam coin.  Great distro plan - unless you are a late comer.  Live it up!!!
1699  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Special Group Buy - Spondoolies-Tech SP30 pre-order] ***EASTER WEEK SALE*** on: April 21, 2014, 10:10:34 PM
Already posted in our thread, posting it here again:

We're happy to announce that we've secured a deal with a high quality data center in Central WA for ultra cheap long term hosting. US bundles customers (50 units or more, SP10 or SP30) are invited to contact us at sales@spondoolies-tech.com for details

Someone needs to organize a group deal for this so the smaller miners can take advantage of this ultra cheap hosting also. I'd love to get in on this.

Spondoolies really needs to make a smaller/cheaper miner. If their next gen chip is 187gh/s why not make a miner with one or two chips?
This is no longer a game for small fries.  Only serious ballers are going to be miners in just about 6 months.  Spondoolies doesn't have time to deal with the complaints and issues of little part time dudes with 500 Watts extra in their tiny apartments.  This shit is for real.
1700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ann] Safecoin maidsafecoin on: April 21, 2014, 09:48:34 PM
On MasterXchange there is currently an offer of 400 MSC for .17.  I find this strange.

Tomorrow one will be able to buy MaidSafe for either BTC or MSC.
Since the rate is fixed, you will pay either 1/17000 BTC or 1/3400MSC per MaidSafeCoin.

So, if you want to save money you can buy the underpriced MSC now @ .17 and spend them tomorrow to buy MaidSafe to profit 400*.03 or 12 MSC.  That is about equal to $1000.

Why are people leaving $1,000 on the table?  It seems to me there is a 100% chance of the event occurring as planned.  In that case, MSC should be priced at about .1999999 today.  However, it is still sitting way down at .17.  That is a very curious discrepancy.

Got any idea why this is happening?

It's me, buy them please
lol!  Are you panicking again?  Hahahaha!  you are one skittish fucker.  You'll see, price @ .20 for the next 30 days.
