1381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robocoin rocks on: October 02, 2014, 07:05:56 PM
I am here to tell you, robocoin is too expensive, too much verification and there is no robocoin at my location.
I think you are missing the point.  Of course it is too expensive.  Of course it is way too crazy with four scans of palm print.  BUT!  It works.  It is WAY ahead of its time.  Totally impractical.  But, somebody is actually making real stuff that works - compared to all this talk and vaporware.  It is working hardware.  The future is bright for Robocoin if they keep it up.  Who cares about insanely low fees, these are early days and the novelty alone is worth the opportunity to use a Robocoin just for the hell of it.

What Do People Buy With There Bitcoin?
Spelling lessons?  No.  I guess they don't.
1383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Counterparty: contracts on top of Bitcoin on: September 30, 2014, 03:20:22 PM
As we pour over the recent successes of BitSharesX and contemplate the future successes of Crypto 2.0 networks like Ripple and Stellar, it is easy to overlook Counterparty, an advanced network already up and running atop Bitcoin.

http://globalcryptonews.com/2014/09/29/counterparty-contracts-top-bitcoin/

Pure, unmitigated garbage.  A mere rip-off of mastercoin.  A very boring team with no presentation ability.  Will convince nobody to use this system.  Sell now.
1384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inside Las Vegas - Inside Bitcoins - October 2014 on: September 30, 2014, 12:19:19 AM
Coming soon - who's going?

They charge WAY too much for this conference.  Full conference is $799 on site or $599 before.  They keep flashing up ads at me everywhere for it and I would go if the price was reasonable, but $799 is too much in this down economy...

Dude - its only bitcoin; we'll make more!

September 30 (today in my timezone) is the last day for the current pricing tier. If you haven't purchased your ticket yet, now is a good time.
I am a Palestinian.  Can you help me get a boarder pass?
1387  Economy / Economics / Bank ATM fees are going up on: September 29, 2014, 09:13:12 PM

This is good for bitcoin...

The more banks screw their customers, the more bitcoin has to offer.
1388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Info - spam on: September 28, 2014, 11:28:42 PM
New age of advertising.
Learn to adapt...

and 0.00000001BTC for free, so whats the problem Tongue  ( just joking guys.. )
It fucks up the blockchain with unpaid pollution.

Every time you use bitcoin for the rest of your life, your computer going to have to parse that big piece of shit transaction which was dumped there by a scam company who thinks you want to 'double your balance'.

If blockchain.info stops providing them a forum, they won't dump that garbage into the blockchain and we won't have to consume more resources messing with it.

Paid ads are different.  Everything has a price.
1389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Blockchain Info - spam on: September 28, 2014, 07:51:15 PM
People can associate a 'message' with a bitcoin address.  When that address is displayed on Blockchain.info - everyone sees the message.  Blockchain.info can easily make and maintain a 'spam' list for abusers.  Once an address is caught spamming, they can be listed and a module can prevent their spam from being further displayed.

Without this feature, more will continue to shove microtransactions onto popular address so everyone can see their stupid message.  For example, look at this piece of garbage: http://blockchain.info/tx/a166207c072c2d4b257e9f5c33da3e61e06cd0a6091b6a2955a0ebadd2ed0c9e

Blockchain.info should help stop this kind of bullshit right now.  Agree or Disagree?

This amounts to some serious blockchain abuse and these assholes behind it should be stopped. http://blockchain.info/address/1BSmartoUnHz32AAdPKcc7cGGC3DiA4RSh  The bad behavior is enabled by blockchain.info
1390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So which one of you got on ESPN yesterday? on: September 28, 2014, 07:42:44 PM
I sent him 0.001 for helping to spread BTC awareness

Cmon folks - if we want bitcoin to get more exposure, we are going to have to pay these guys better.  .6 is not enough.  Please be a little more generous and send this guy a $10 at least to make it worth their while.  Then more guys will try.  Then more reporters will talk about it.  Then more people will understand bitocin.  Then your value will go up.  It is like paying yourself!!  Do it now.  Double down and send another payment to make up for your cheap ass first payment.

Seriously? Don't send him a cent. He didn't do anything, just hold up a sign! No one will hear more about bitcoin if I donated 10btc.
You are wrong and dumb.

If these guys get paid, more will attempt the stunt.  Everytime this appears on TV, 1000s more people learn about and get started with bitcoin.  That increases the value of the entire system.  It is free press.  It is called 'Rambo marketing'.  YOU will benefit each time someone does this.

Now you go pay $10 X 2 because you are so stupid you have a 'stupid' penalty to pay also.

1392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins: designed to fail on: September 26, 2014, 11:06:32 PM
My money is on bitcoins, but the only thing I'm worried about is if bitcoin is like the netscape of the internet.

This is a very curious point.  Marc Andreesen was the man behind Netscape.  Now, Marc Andreesen is largely behind Bitcoin.  What if he is just a major two-time loser?  On the first day Microsoft came out with a browser, I knew Netscape was DEAD.  Everyone told me I was crazy and Microsoft would never catch up.  Netscape was silly rookie garbage compared to the first IE.

Now we have the same guy betting on bitcoin.  Could he be just as wrong about the 'Internet of money'?  Possibly.

Just because a guy is rich doesn't mean he is right.  Andreesen might actually prove to be the biggest tech failure ever if bitcoin fails and gets replaced by a nice sweet version from Microsoft.  lol

just kidding Marc or Mark - whatever!!!
1393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins: designed to fail on: September 26, 2014, 09:52:49 PM

I am simply stunned that the bitcoin community has people as shockingly dumb as the OP.  Maybe in the end, Bitcoin is going to fail, but it will fail because of stupid people in the community rather than because there aren't enough units.  What a moron.
1394  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Alternative ways of spam prevention on: September 22, 2014, 09:08:11 PM
Sorry if it's already been discussed, but I couldn't find any source regarding this issue.

How would it be if the spam transactions are prevented not by transaction fees but by a method like Hashcash's e-mail spam prevention? Then the transaction fees may be set to zero. Isn't it possible?
Why don't we just track the fuckers down with Roger Ver's new system and then just beat the holy shit out of them until they can no longer operate a computer?
1395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I asked Restoration Hardware if they would accept Bitcoin... on: September 17, 2014, 04:47:32 PM
We shouldn't stop here.  Let's find other important retailers who need an introduction to bitcoin and send them some encouragement.

I wonder, is there anyone of you out there who would like to organize this?  This thread sure was effective.  I hope we can make more thread just like this.  Anyone?

Good job on the OP.  Maybe he can find another great retailer and link to its comments page to encourage others to send a request.  Keep up the good work!
1396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So I asked Restoration Hardware if they would accept Bitcoin... on: September 16, 2014, 09:44:29 PM
That's a smart idea, we should do the same with more and more companies.
True fact.

It takes 30 seconds!  Go here: https://www.restorationhardware.com/customer-service/contact-us.jsp and submit a note about your desire for bitcoin acceptance!  Do it now!  Mention Overstock.com as a positive example of a retailer who pulled it off and loved the result.
1397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 15, 2014, 05:45:43 PM
This just in...

I just heard KnC is going to renege on their offer of a bonus Neptune.  That's right, KnC decided not to send out the bonus miner.  It's just tough luck for all those who expected one to arrive.  This story gets worse everyday.

KnC are crooks.
1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 12, 2014, 11:11:09 PM
Does anyone know what the maximum operating temp is on the Neptune?

Thanks,
I am pretty sure they will run in ambient as high as 50C.  They don't like it there, but they will run there.  Here is one suffering the effects of pretty high ambient with the afternoon heat.

When you match this up with a local weather outlook, it correlates perfectly!   The ambient temp / heat drives the hashrate down.  The worse case scenario was 50C
1399  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 12, 2014, 08:53:31 PM
Simple solution that has been posted many times, IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE PRICE, MOVE THE FUCK ALONG!

Right?  I don't like the price of a new DB9 Aston Martin either.  They really need to lower that.  As soon as they put the price down to match a Ford - I am going to buy one of those.
1400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reuters: Bitcoin gets boost as U.S. watchdog (CFTC) approves first swap on: September 12, 2014, 08:10:26 PM
dosn't really mean anything if it does explain it to me
You are too dumb to understand things like this.  However, I'll tell you one thing you can understand - this is fucking huge.

Sure bud just answer the question instead of trying to sound like an ass hat
The answer will be of no use to you.  You'll just have to believe that bitcoin swaps are a very important step forward.  It basically means, now wall street is actually involved and designing financial products around bitcoin.  Never before has that been done.

Look, this stuff is technical.  It's not really good for morons.  Try a Frisbee.
