Got any examples?  This seems unlikely to me.

here is your example : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637595.0

Seems like that is going to cost more than $10 per S3.

which cost maybe $10 per S3.
1442  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 21, 2014, 12:39:29 AM

I didn't even know Oct hardware was up for sale so even if we are able to put any btc together we will be again at the back of the bus ....niiiice

Spondoolies doesn't want your order.  They want orders from people who have cash.  Orders from people to whom they owe cash do nothing but annoy them.  Previous customers are a pain in the ass.  They just want new fresh blood with pockets full of cash.  Previous customers keep asking for reductions due to getting fucked on their last order.  You think a company can make money dealing with people who expect 'compensation'. No way.  That is not how it works.
1443  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 20, 2014, 11:49:57 PM
You forgot the PSU costs. Everyone always forgets the PSU cost. The S3 does not cost $305, it costs at least $350.

Only if you're setting up a single S3. If you doing any sort of farm, you're going to use server power supplies which cost maybe $10 per S3.
Got any examples?  This seems unlikely to me.

Just found about http://www.rigwarz.com/ My only know-how comes from the forum, but it seems that I found an unbiased opinion about the SP30. It seems that it's doing very good besides all the trolls whining. Only 2 days ROI difference between S3 and SP30. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Edit: Well if you add the 12 PSU cost I think that the SP30 might achieve ROI just a little faster than the S3s. Math is nice! Crypto is uber!
RigWarz clearly says .67 while you say .578.  Your trickery, slant and bullshit at every turn is boring.

More bullshit. RigWarz says 18 days.  You are looking at the SP31 numbers and trying to pretend your machine somehow get the benefit of 5.5TH in the calculations.  You lie to yourself - over, and over again.  I call bullshit.  Your ability to stretch the truth is legendary.  Your slams on KnC and been 10X any bullshit I've dumped in this thread.
1445  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 20, 2014, 07:52:52 PM
so anybody have any information about underclocking and extending the sp30 lifetime in light of the giant difficulty increases?

Max voltage 0.67 (can't set it lower from the web GUI) and I'm getting 3.62Th/s and 0.58W/GH!

Once I figure out how to navigate and edit the "mg_custom_mode" file will post again about this.

I found it very amusing that our extreme slow corner 28nm ASICs outperform the competition 20nm
Can't wait for October ASICs Smiley
Why do you keep getting slow corner batches? This was a problem with the SP10 as well.
The corners of Israel have been problematic since 1948.  With Gaza and Lebanon being particularly slow to accept power.
1446  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 20, 2014, 05:39:07 PM
i remember the 185 machine reservation. too stupid for him or her lost 18.5 btc for the reservation.

Not that stupid.  Since SP30 can't +ROI, this guy saved a ton of money getting out of this abortion early.
1447  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 20, 2014, 04:00:37 PM
Well diff just jumped ~17% highest percentage jump in a while I hope sptech isn't mining withe the August gb hardware
You know we don't.
GB machines weren't produce yet. They'll be produced and shipped during next week.
We're producing and shipping 50-100 miners a day.
This isn't the first thing Guy said which didn't come true you know.  Shipping on September 15th as I said earlier.  They're will be some very good explanation coming with that and maybe some kind of a certificate with a shiny gold seal too.
1448  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 19, 2014, 11:40:07 PM
Rawdog you are the troll .. and the dumbass ... don't you see it?

Are you sure about this?  I think you are mistaken.
1449  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 19, 2014, 10:30:26 PM
Has anyone from the group buy received their machine?
GroupBuy won't be shipped until September 15th.  Waiting on new chips.  It is not Spondoolies fault - they don't have the chips.
Bullshit.
stop quoting the trolls.
you just quoted the troll too you dumbass!

I wish it was only 17%.  It is actually 21%.  The gig is up.  Mining is a disaster.
1451  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 19, 2014, 08:24:23 PM
Not only could the delivery week be shorter, but there has been some time between the first intial received chips (July batch) and the first real chip-shipment (used for August orders).
Hey, that's the same thing that happened at KnC.  Why do you think they only sent 2% of Neptunes and then stopped all shipping?
1452  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 19, 2014, 08:05:01 PM
I still think the Spondoolies-Tech is one of the best bitcoin miner producers right now so I wouldn't like them to dissapoint me to exploit my trust by acting in KNC style.

They won't.

Well, at 70-100/day since July 28 they should have been able to produce 1470-2100 machines IF working 7 days a week or 1050-1600 machines if working 5 days a week. Are all these already sent/in the field?

Their lead guy has been on vacation since last week.  Friday is a holy day, Saturday is the Sabbath.  For some reason they don't work on Thursdays either.

I am pretty sure you can't count 7 days a week.  More like 2.5.
1453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 19, 2014, 07:07:20 PM
Good, will titan ROI?
LOL!!!  Good one!
1454  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 19, 2014, 04:42:37 PM
In about two hours from this post, all SP30s will become 20% less able to make bitcoin.  https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty   That is a shitload of inflation.  They are nearly worthless by the time they arrive.
1455  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 19, 2014, 03:05:05 PM
To my knowledge, spondoolies has never broken any promise in regards to shipping time.
Neither did KnC.  KnC has been 'on time' with every one of their products.

See how that works?
1456  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Miners for less than €200 on: August 19, 2014, 12:16:12 AM
The offensive nature of your defense is clearly the wrong tone.

Quite clearly, this guy is shady as hell...

That miner is as fake as the Rolex he is wearing.
1457  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Pluto, S4, or SP50 - which will be announced first? on: August 19, 2014, 12:06:30 AM
My Bet is the S4. 2TH, 1400W.
Here is how I see it...

  • Bitmain: S4 2TH, 1400W
  • KnC: Pluto 8TH, 4500W
  • Spondoolies: SP50 12TH, 6000W (4X PSUs)

I think we've pretty much found the ceiling with .5W/GH.  Now we only have to know about the selling price for all of these.  With Bitcoin price in big trouble, development is sure to slow.  This should favor BitMain which develops on their own money rather than pre-order.  Bitmain might be the big winner.

Will the S4 arrive before Christmas?

1458  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 18, 2014, 09:19:40 PM
I am saving up for those now.

When do the pre-orders start ? Better hurry up while BTC is worth more than 10 bucks
Pre-orders prolly won't start for at least another two weeks. They won't tell me precisely.
1459  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 18, 2014, 08:46:23 PM
Somehow, I was 100% sure today they'd announce beginning shipments of the RoadStress GroupBuy.  Since they didn't, I am pretty convinced this is going to be just like KnC where they ship a few - and then take forever to try to fix all the disasters before shipping the rest.

I am happier each day that I didn't get caught up in this mess.  At least these guys learn from their mistakes and we'll see much improvement on the SP50.  I am saving up for those now.
1460  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Double Whammy on: August 18, 2014, 06:37:21 PM
Ouch!

Difficulty will take a huge jump up tomorrow and the price of Bitcoin is down.  Is ANYONE making money in mining today?  I suspect nearly everyone is running a negative now.  What can possibly turn this around?

If you are thinking of getting into mining, you are crazy dumb and love to lose money.
