CYPER - yep I understand you'll need to wait to see how the Auzies respond, re payment I can send £ by Internet banking to any UK bank account which is free but would have more security if we used BTC & it would be good to make the sale in BTC in any case. I saw here that one of the very old established forum members with very high post count & hopefully lots of OTC rep had offered to act as escrow anytime in these situations for free I think to facilitate BTC business, re my positive feedback on eBay I will PM you 2 of my accounts to see & also note that I have lent out 100 BTC to Deathandtaxes on 1/2 plus 250 BTC to Imsaguy on the 5/2 so expect that either one of those would be prepared to act as an escrow if I asked, perhaps also pirate@40 would too if he wasn't too busy plundering or whatever
I'm fine with it being disassembled for extra secure packing, if you can give very precise idiot proof instructions of how to put it back together again, like little coloured stickers on each part & where it plugs in to etc

Before anything else I must say that I'll be away between 16th and 25th of February for my ski holiday, so I would suggest I send the rig after I come back, because if I send it now I won't be available if you need any help. Like I said I'm in no hurry to sell it, so it is up to you - if you want it now that is ok. About the bank payment - do you have a UK based bank account, because sending Euros to my UK account is not free, at least not on my side - the bank will probably charge me some fee (and I have bank accounts in 7 different banks  ) The idea of using a trusted forum member sounds good, but how does it work? You send him all the BTC, I send you the rig and after you receive it, he sends me the BTC? About the rig - I will make an HD video of the rig before taking it apart and comment in it how everything fits together. I think that is the best way and you won't have a problem putting it back together. I've spent some time deleting personal information on the HDD, so might leave it as it is. The whole rig + hardware + boxes = 15kg and would fit in a box with 30x45x55cm dimensions. |

thanks for the info, that all sounds good, but I'd assumed that Ubuntu, drivers, miners, scripts, SSH & anything else that needed to be installed to mine would be already on it as you're using it for that I'd guessed, I stopped mining months ago when the BTC exchange rate fell under $3, because it was not enough even to pay my electricity. Since then the rig has been staying in my wardrobe under a blanket waiting for better days. I just can't be bothered with mining any more - electricity here is expensive and the rig was sitting in the corridor next to my door so it was an annoyance when trying to sleep. Yes the rig is fully installed with all the necessary software, but I would rather format the hard drive as it holds a lot of personal information such as passwords and logins - I hope you understand. then you'd just need to explain to me how to point it at a pool or set that up for me would be best, otherwise I'll check out round here to see if anyone could do that for me & show me how to maintain it I could help if you haven't sold it by towards the end of next month then I expect to be visiting the UK for the last week or so & if we'd agreed everything then perhaps I could then pay in cash or BTC after you'd given me a demo plus any instructions I'll need & take it straight to shippers unless it can be well enough packed for hold luggage & hopefully by then I would have sorted out my 'lecy problem

OK forget the tech support, I'd just need very clear & simple instructions of what to plug in where & what I need to do to get it mining for the first time here, last month you offered it at €1,100 if paid in BTC to include shipping, which is £919 - so I'd expect an offer of £900 or less including shipping & to be using an escrow. Unfortunately I have some issues with my power supply that need to be resolved before I committed myself to this if we were to agree on a price etc, I hope to get that sorted in the next couple of weeks
What is the power consumption kW/h & efficiency MH/W
If you would not require tech support (such as installing Ubuntu, drivers, miners, scripts, SSH) then I can reinstate the price of 1100 Euros shipped and that will be my lowest offer. Power consumption for 1784MH/s is 800W average/830W Peak from the wall, so taking into account the efficiency of the PSU the hardware uses 750W from the PSU. 1784MH/s / 800W = 2.23MH/W I would say that is very efficient |

Don't forget the fees and the fact that uk is probably one of the most expensive countries in EU Not sure if you would agree to ship to another EU country (Poland) - but if you would - I'd be willing to buy just the cards - for $750 shipped. Contact me if you change your mind and still can't sell it. Thank you for your offer, but I would really love to see the whole rig go together, because I have much pride in building it and would have to see it apart - it is just perfectly built and optimized. Would wait a bit longer for any offers for the whole rig as I'm not really in a hurry. Also that PSU is one of the best on the market and costs £125 new here. |
