maybe, keep the one created at step 2, would be logic, no?

Do I need it when all the coins from it will be transferred to the new wallet created in step 1?

Anyone?

Are those pics from KnC? Why would they break their well established image of professionalism with this "two amateurs building a datacenter" picture collection?

No, its my hand. I cut it on purpose, so I can post this picture.

Can you say your ASIC vendor has shed blood to get you your miner as quick as possible  Grin

Dear John, you are hereby granted the moral authority to ban the "+1" sock posters.

+1 posts removed, especially when I've finally got the refunds out for the last GB of Bizwoo.

All escrow releases for the past 3 days should be processed at this point (about 1k+ BTC). Escrow contracts for new escrows coming out tomorrow morning as I took too much time on the group buy refunds.

I have a lot of Singles I am trying to sell.  You are difficult to get a hold of.  I have a lot of potential buyers frustrated with not being able to reach you.

Please PM me.

Same here: I wanted to use his services, but he was very slow at responding to message if at all. Very disappointed.

Can someone confirm the new wallet QT has been ungraded and what is new about it?

I'm reluctant to download any new wallets due to possible Trojans.  It would be nice if ixCoin got the same code update as i0Coin.

Trojans? That makes no sense, unless you are downloading from a 3rd party website.

Seriously?  So nobody can sneak in a virus inside an open source wallet?

Not unless they gain access to the hosting server, which is highly unlikely and if it happens it will be spotted very quickly.

Why is "-datadir" not working?
Can't change data directory for i0coin, it still downloading in "Application data", even after launching with -datadir=d:\AnotherDataFolder

Works for me. Which version of the client are you using?

D:\i0coin\i0coin-qt.exe -datadir=D:\i0coin\Blockchain

OK, so for receiving coins you don't have be connected to the internet, in fact you don't need to do anything as long as you have your wallet secured.

But what about sending coins? - I assume internet connection is needed in order to broadcast the transaction, but do I need to download the full blockchain in order to successfully send coins?
Can I just open a fresh client for less than a minute, send some coins and close it immediately after that? Is that enough time for the transaction to appear in the blockchain?

Also I would like to transfer the few coins I have to a new wallet, because my current one is on my Windows machine encrypted and I'd rather not open it in this environment, just in case there is some malware waiting for it. Is this the right procedure:

1 - I fire up a LiveCD, install a bitcoin client, get some new addresses, write them down, backup wallet.dat.
2 - Again load LiveCD and copy my original wallet.dat to be used with the bitcoin client, but this time with an internet connection, so I can send the coins to an address from step one.
3 - Delete original wallet.dat and keep the one created in step 1.

Did I miss anything?

Once you guys get your miners in hand what pools will you consider using and why?

Still debating between BTCGuild and Bitminter Smiley

IXC might not be technically dead, but in reality it is, because there is zero interest in it at the moment.

I have 1500USD and want them in my UK bank account and I'm unsure what to do.

My bank told me they support SEPA even though the account is in GBP, but Gox support says they can't send SEPA.
So I'm left with International Wire Sad

For ideal efficiency you want no more than ~60% load on the PSU. So people are getting a 1,000 watt PSU to achieve that. 850w is adequate but not targeted towards efficiency, on a device that will be operating full bore, 24/7, it makes sense.

Also you could get two 500w PSUs and feed one to each side, but I wonder if you face an additional risk if one board is powered on before the others? Might that cause problems?

The efficiency part is rubbish.

In regards to the 2 PSUs: just plug them to the same power extension lead and flip the switch = they power exactly at the same time.

That is the original thread with the proposed idea: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=36425.0

Btw I found this piece of information: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=46774.0

Maybe that was the rate I bought mine at. I was mistaken in thinking I have 15K. I have around 11K, so it looks like I spent around 12-13BTC for them.
