I've added some interior pics. Also, the Harley deal fell through so it's still available, posted new pics and video there too:

$45 at daily avg price. BTCticker doesn't seem to be working today, not sure if mtgox changed their API... Looking at it now.
1445  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Risk free Avalon partnership? on: March 22, 2013, 12:47:11 AM
Interesting idea, I'd be willing to do it. I'm in the USA, how much are the customs fees?
1446  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The latest Avalon announcement in China(Translated). Batch #3, price and more. on: March 21, 2013, 03:28:22 AM
I stand corrected, I thought they started preorders at the same time as BFL. In any case, my point was, people did not expect to make $6k+ a month with Avalon when purchasing batch 1 and 2. It was widely expected that BFL would beat them to market with both batches. Now that their profitability is more certain, why would Avalon want to give miners an all but guaranteed 4x ROI?

If you want to ensure AVALON doesn't mine with their own devices, you are going to have take a little hit on profitability.
1447  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: [POLL] Should Butterfly Labs (BFL) get a Scammer tag? on: March 21, 2013, 03:20:38 AM
Unless they start denying refunds, they shouldn't be labeled as scammers. They are 6 months late, but they are legitimately working on a product.

[...] why would ASIC vendors sell a machine for $1500 that make 6-8k a month? I think this answers the question pretty clearly, They wouldn't!

Seems you've forgotten about Batches #1 and #2...

I distinctly remember BTC being worth around $6 a piece for batch 1 and a volatile $25 for batch 2.

Price lowered to 39k in bitcoins. We're in the 500s now guys! Harley sold today for fiat, don't let this one slip away!

I've seen a lot of people recently posing the question, why would ASIC vendors sell a machine for $1500 that make 6-8k a month? I think this answers the question pretty clearly, They wouldn't! What makes you guys think Avalon wants to sell you a device that will return it's value in 1-2 weeks when they could easily build the machines for themselves and make much more? On top of that, there's no competition right now.

Asking for a price in btc, ok. Thats the idea of btc. Asking for a huge amount basing it on expected ROI is absurd. Bitcoin value could crash tomorrow.

Actually, asking for 88 BTC doesn't change the fact that you would make your 88 BTC back in a few months, given that there is no consumer based competition with a working product. If BTC price crashes, then the 88 BTC you mined with the device is just worth less.

Now here's the real question, if BTC value goes down to $10 two days after they start accepting batch 3 preorders, are they going to honor the 88 BTC price, or have a sudden change of heart and start charging $1500 again? At some point, merchants are going to need to list their products in static BTC prices to stabilize the currency. I don't think that time is now, but you can't blame them for trying. A high static BTC price at this point is going to devalue BTC and possibly start driving the exchange rate down.

I still think they are going to sell out though, barring some really good news from BFL this week.

The only problem with your analysis is that for it to apply to me (or anyone else), you must have the 88 BTC.  If you use EU or USD to buy the 88 BTC, then the vol really does matter to the people and they have FX risk.

What if BTC value goes down to $10 tomorrow and you buy 88 coins for $880? Assuming Avalon would still sell for 88 BTC(they wouldn't), it wouldn't change the fact that you are going to mine those 88 BTC back in a few months with the device. If you believe BTC value is going to keep going up, it's a no-brainer to buy.

Anyone who took that post seriously deserves to be scammed.

1456  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUIDE - How to make your own PCIe extender with molex. on: March 19, 2013, 05:28:29 AM
Well that's interesting, I believe you are right. I did have this extender running in my rig for a few months without issue, so either my motherboard did not need a response on the present pin or 1 of the other pins serves the same purpose... I'll correct, thanks.
1457  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUIDE - How to make your own PCIe extender with molex. on: March 19, 2013, 02:07:52 AM
Are you sure that is the B side (in the photo)?

Yes I believe so, although it's not really clear from the pinout diagrams available. I figured it out which side was which by looking at the extenders haploid and cablesaurus were selling.
1458  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [AVALON] - I got my ASIC Thread (Batch #2) on: March 18, 2013, 05:20:56 PM
I have a feeling that order number will have little to no bearing on shipping order, and it should not. As I understand it, there are still day one batch 2 orders that haven't been entered into the system yet. Only the last wave of batch#2 orders had automatic order # creation working, so customers that ordered earlier than last wave, will prob have a higher number than them.

I ordered and paid on Feb 10th and my order was manually entered into the system a few weeks later by Bitsyncom. My order # is 4097

Correct, you don't want to push voltage to the mb v out, prob wouldn't end well.
1460  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Anyone wants to sell me one Avalon ASIC miner? on: March 17, 2013, 09:42:19 PM
I'd be willing to sell my batch #2 order. Ordered and paid for on Feb 10th. Purchased after creating a wordpress account so you should be able to log in and change the address. Make an offer.
