How quick are these to use? Are these plug and play?

I've made it's bit easier to setup by providing an assembled power connector. You'll need to have basic networking knowledge and the ability to setup a local stratum proxy.
Can someone direct me to the setup page? I just need to see what extra equipment I need, like PSU, wires etc. and the setup process.

Dogie's guide is the best out there in my opinion. Ignore the part about making the power adapter as I've already done that for you.

Local p2pool node for about an hour.

Just set it up so I haven't verified the whole p2pool chain yet, not sure if that matters...

hmm, the numbers don't add up with your HW errors.  are those just not even submitted to the pool?

i would like to see it on an existing p2pool node, lenny's is fine

if the latency is too high there, you could try nogleg.net or zevus.nogleg.com and I'd give you any BTC back if it actually did take a fee, those are in US rather than Europe

Firmware on the Chilis enables engines that BFL would not. This produces a higher hashrate but more HW errors. I'll hit someone else's node tonight.

Price lowered with exchange rate. These are BFL chips. Haven't tried p2pool with them. ~180 watts should be the average, although I haven't tested with a killa-watt.
1092  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: ASIC BLADE Problem on: November 05, 2013, 11:07:17 PM
Hello
What im doing wrong here . Why is the efficiency so low ?

Current Server: gbt.mining.eligius.st:9337

GBT is wrong.  You want Getwork. There's a big difference.

The Blades only support getwork.

You want getwork.mining.eligius.st:8337

No, you want a stratum proxy. I'm surprised anyone is even running an outdated getwork pool any more, and I doubt it will even be around much longer.

Armchair miners... lol

Well, lets get him working on the correct server to start off with.  GBT is totally wrong.  THEN we get him running on a stratum proxy.

I've got my Blades pointed to a local proxy as the primary server, and backup is set to the getwork server on Eligius - that means when/if the machine running the proxy is rebooting/crashed, the Blades can mine on their own as long as the internet is still working.

Blades are inefficient and restart very frequently when mining against a remote getwork server. Pointing to the eligius getwork server is a useless exercise, but if you are into wasting time I suppose that's your choice...

Did you coin the term "armchair miner"?

Ill offer 1btc each .. more realistic =)

You got it, give me a day to remove 5 of 8 ASIC chips from each board and they are all yours Wink

Some progress. I was able to get ports 15-28 and ports 26-49 to work. All the other ports have power, but windows will not recognize any device on them...

Got linux?

Is this plugging in just the hub without any sticks and letting windows install generic hub drivers, or are you plugging it in with all sticks in the hub already? Try the hub alone. Also try going into device manager and uninstalling generic hub driver for each hub(7x7). Then plug it back in, without any units, and see if windows can install the generic driver for each sub-hub.

1098  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [SOLD OUT] ASICMiner 49 port hubs +50 units! 1.75 BTC - Last batch on: November 02, 2013, 02:17:45 AM
I got one of the two hubs running.  All 48 on the running hub are hashing away.

Thanks CrazyGuy!

That's an extremely tidy setup! By the way fellas, I didn't receive a batch of USB units today, it was all blades. I still hope to receive enough to pair with the available hubs within the next couple days. My apologies to those of you who had your hopes up.
