Still paused ?

Yes, ASICMiner is filling other buyer orders and asked me to hold off on last weeks order. At this point, I have a few units in stock and ready to ship through ASICPuppy.net.

For batch 2-5 participants that may be receiving a tube BE controller. Pleae remember to drop the chip frequency from 270 to 240

All orders, save for one that hasn't sent labels, have been shipped. If you paid for shipoing, I'll provide tracking info this evening.

AM is shipping the missing uart adapters express today, so hopefully I'll have them by the end of the week. Thankfully, I had enough spare BE controllers to get everyone from batch 1-5 up and running as quickly as possible. I appreciate those of you that temporarily gave up your reserved BE controller for other participants that need them.

With that said, I'll be sending reserved RPis tomorrow as well. Here's a short list of how to get them up and running.

1) You need a 5v 1a power supply and a usb cord with a micro usb connector
2) The RPi image is set up with DHCP. I gave it a hostname of "priminerapi". If you are unable to ping the RPi with that hostname, try running an app like "angryip" to find the ip address on your network
3) Minera is pre-installed with custom builds for ASICMiner and Rockminer enabled in the GUI. By default, I have the ASICMiner build selected with a startup parameter of "--bet-clk 23"
4) To access the minera interface, navigate to "http://priminerapi/minera" in your web browser. If the hostname is not being resolved by your router, replace priminerapi with the ip address assigned by dhcp.
5) Web login\password is minera\minera
6) Secure Shell superuser is pi\raspberry. Shell user minera\minera is also enabled and you should use this id for most of your actions in the shell.
7) Build scripts for all versions of bfgminer, cgminer, and AM/RM specific versions reside in /var/www/minera
8) Run the build script "build_miner.sh" as user "minera" to prevent any permissions issues.
404  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [OPEN] ASICPuppy.net - Prisma ($599.99) NEW R-Box($79.99) on: November 05, 2014, 07:37:01 AM
Prismas in stock and ready to ship. Please note that I did not receive any usb-uart adapters, and my BE controllers are reserved for group buy participants, so you will need to have these accessories beforehand. Prisma price is subject to change along with BTC exchange rate.

Oh well I waited for nothing.  Not blaming you but friedcat is not doing miners right .

Sorry bud, I know it's a let down. I'm doing everything I can to get ASICMiner to express the adapters to me. Hopefully I'll have them in within a couple days.

hope it happens.

Got ahold of AM and they are shipping the adapters express today. I should hopefully have them by the end of the week.

Make sure you are attaching the win usb drivers to that device. Which binary are you pointing to with guiminer? It should be no different than running straight from the command line.
Now if you can explain that in English I might have a chance of getting it running.
I'm competent with hardware, not software, so that is all Greek to me.
GUIMiner is basically set and forget, it installed, detects the hardware (GPU and CPU) and runs.
I expected CGMiner to be the same with the Rbox R2, but there are basically no instructions apart from plugging it in and downloading software.
I need step by step instructions for a NOOB to set this up, installing the software, changing settings, joining a pool or solo mining preferably.  Grin
Without basic instruction this unit is just an expensive paperweight.

Haha, sorry. Check out step 3-6 on the the original box setup. I'll update instructions for the new one to re-iterate.
3) Run zadig_xp_2.1.0.exe from the dektop or start menu
4) Select your device in the top drop down (CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller) and select WinUSB in the bottom drop down
5) Click "Install Driver"
6) Close Zadig

Everyone that is due a Prisma has been Pm'ed individually. Please respond as soon as possible to prevent shipping delay. I do apologize once again for the absense of usb-uart adapters. I'm not sure why they keep getting missed...

Also, watch out for similarly named scammers who may try to scheme some coin out of you via PM. Remember, I will not ask you to make payments to any address other than the one in the original post.

Haha, no I don't have crazyguy on my packages, guaranteed inspection if I did.

So I've got all Prismas ready to go, but once again, I've received no usb-uart adapters. It's a bit aggrevating, but luckily I have spare BE contollers and might have enough to get everyone up and running. Check your PMs for more details.

@CrazyGuy Have you seen movement of the remaining batches and if so do you have an estimate on delivery?

Yes, they are in the US now. I had to spend some time on the phone yesterday convincing US customs that I wasn't importing time bombs. I will post a more detailed update this evening.

I think that would be awesome. I'm already envisioning a tank-less water heater and hour long scolding hot showers. Powered by bitcoin.

Didn't Gavin talk about something similar about a year ago?  He was saying that if/once bitcoin becomes popular and Moore's Law is reached or close, that people would buy a hot water heater, furnace, heater, etc with some ASIC chips built in to earn a few dozen satoshi.

= ROI on electric bills. free energy for everyone. Bitcoin's end game. awesome.

not happening anytime soon. The cost difference between building a mining system into an appliance vs a basic metal heating element likely exceeds what will be mined in its lifespan. $500 computer wedged into the heater, that runs maybe 8-16hrs/day, or a $20 metal coil? Think you'll mine $480 worth of BTC?

+hazardous materials at disposal
+if you lose your internet, mining stops right? then what - no heat?

I think the trick would be to get manufacturers to agree on a standardized modular design. Something like the first rbox that could be easily plugged in to a variety of devices like space heaters, water heaters, etc... This would enable upgrade paths and open a new market for mining accesories.

I think that's definitely a possibility. If bitcoin prices don't start going up, I may be selling Block Erupter space heaters and dehydrators in 2015.

I keep checking https://asicpuppy.com/magentoPuppy/index.php/asic-mining-hardware.html to see if the prismas are up yet and im guessing beings batch 6 is on hold it might be delayed on asicpuppy. Then I got an email from a site which I wont name and they have them up for 649.99 and they say Available for shipping 11/6 or refund available. Im guessing a bunch of them are on the way to the states id imagine? I wish I would have got in on batch one as I cant wait to get my hands on them.

I should have some listed on the site tomorrow.

Does, that still get a tracking number? It said standard shipping when I entered it.

Yes

in the top board and bottom board I used single cables. the left and right use the cable with the Pci-e in the middle. both on the same cable plugged into each side board. hmmm.

That's the problem, you need to split those double cables over multiple boards. Each of the 4 prisma boards should be attached to 1 single connecter cable and half of a double connector cable. This will enable the PSU to normalize current over all 6 cables.

All remaining batches should be arriving next week. ASICMiner has asked me to hold off on placing a batch 6 order this weekend while they replenish stock. Any batch 6 orders to this point will be moved to batch 5, which should arrive next week. If you haven't sent me your label, please do so now.

I will have spare units for sale on ASICPuppy.net next week.

it looks like I won't be using the Lepa 1600, the ebay ad is a scam. While the photo shows the right photo, the guy is selling them with the cables from the 1200w Lepa. I'm no dummy so he is going to have to pay to ship it back, ebay has a new policy the at the seller has to eat the cost.

I will use stock evga 1300. I am taking my time with the miner, I found some Styrofoam packing in the tube and on one of the chips, so good to check it over really well before starting it up.

I will say that I have a 1300w Lepa and it is one of the worst power supplies I've ever owned. It trips with almost any miner I've tried to use it with.
