Something to also consider is how they look on coinmarketcap, very small.

Basically it is like Anoncoin (at the current level of development) with higher unit count. Chatted with the dev some, and he seems pretty passionate about it, so heck with it, I got some at 1 sat and will see what comes of it.

Just saying I know this guy, he is a pretty solid trader and investor. I think I will buy a little and see what he can do with it.

private test has been completed and public test for ZKsnarks has started...!!!

i am sure dev team will do an announcement and they will release the whitepaper

also review of the code will follow as far as i know

join irc, an get the latest info by urself
Np and just so you know, i do believe snarks is yet to be implemented. Right now its ZKRS Zero Knowledge, Ring Signatures. As far as i know they MAY be swapped out for Snarks in the future.
One day when the devs have time to finish their much needed and anticipated paper. We will all know 100%, for sure, what it is they have even done! Until then its just guesswork, but my best guess is its not zksnarks

From my understanding SNARKS has inherent problems. The zk + ring signatures implementation is a fix to those problems. Ask Ryno for the explanation. A real (not vaporware), working, ZK implementation is the real advancement here.

So basically perfect anon if they pull it off then? (Bought some just in case)

Hey james, Smiley

Join #shadowtest and #shadowcash on freenode irc, if you would like to help test out the zk client. We just opened it up for public testnet.

Thanks, just getting the wallet synched up now. Bought a reasonable amount. If you guys pull it off, it is super cheap now.

I been watching this thread since page 10, was tempted to buy in at the ICO but sadly I was not around for those days. Now I'm back and I believe there's no better time to buy some then today... As soon as I get back to my room ima be buying a few bitbay to add to my cryptocoin collection.

I think this coin has a bright future but who knows how long till everyone realizes how life-changing this coin, marketplace and smart contracts really are.

Good luck bay team and god speed.

PSA... This is not a group play of mine. This is a personal investment im making. Please dont ask me "when are you gonna pump bay" or "how long till bay hits x amount" because that kinda shit pisses me off.

Later.

Simply announcing you are watching a coin is enough to scare people away from it. You should have just kept your mouth shut man.

Oh dear are you for real? lol. EV play nice nobody is scared that he watched this coin, (i hope)..

Whales being interested in a coin do not scare me away at all. They normally don't sell below their buy in price, and often have connections that can help.
1547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which alts are left that have some serious promise and WHY?? in DETAIL. on: November 16, 2014, 11:10:39 PM
1 Darkcoin, open source, maintains high marketcap, lots of fans and can port in anything else that makes some innovative tech leaps. Masternodes are hard to just clone and that gives it a very strong network. Seeing it slowly move from speculative into actual use.

2 Counterparty XCP - First decentralized exchange, ported Ethereum, uses the Bitcoin blockchain. / Viacoin XCH as a potential lower marketcap competitor, also based on Counterparty, faster, they have Peter Todd, Tree Chains coming, Colored Coins, obviously could port ethereum

3 NXT - They have a lot of assets, jl777, SuperNET with BLOCKNET/Horizon as lower marketcap competitors, not on anyone's radar now, but I do know they are working on some interesting tech unlike SuperNET.

4 Bitshares - Very innovative and unique, nothing else quite like it, innovative clones about to start appearing. (RPCD)

5 Bitbay - Great developer, but totally unknown as much is based on mysterious people backing it, if they are legit with major connections, perhaps Bitbay could do well.

Nothing wrong with making profit, just silly people are selling below ICO in the first place. People are panicked way too easily.

Does BlockNet team plan any pump to get price to some reasonable levels, before whole project collapse badly?

We plan on releasing a continual stream of progress-related news.

While this may lead to a pump, it's up to the market to decide how our work affects the value of BLOCK.

P.S. The project is independent of the price of BLOCK; it won't collapse at all. We'll just keep on working, because we have the resources to do so. This should be a major support for the price IMO: that the project is viable, healthy, and able to proceed.

Well You have to work faster, otherwise BLOCK will be dead in 2 months.

On what basis?

I think BLOCK will be very much alive in 2 months.

At any point people can buy into the Blocknet project (not just during the ITO), and it's a very exciting project.

Buying, therefore, makes a fair bit of sense in my personal opinion.

Based on how many work was done so far - from github (https://github.com/atcsecure/blocknet) it seems that devs lack motivation. I am no pro coder, but when I work on some project (arduino / raspberry custom stuff on demand mostly) to which I am thrilled, I work 16/7 on it. But maybe its because nobody pays before in real world..

I agree. They said they have knowledge to develope such game changing innovation to crypto (ie what SuperNET HAS done), yet if they could, they should have just made it instead of con'ing everyone in to "pay" for it. If it was to be true, they'd make $ hand over fist. There really is no motivation for them now, simply just have diddle forward long enough to get "paid" all the funds, instead of the funds being invested and holding value.

That depends on what you believe, if you believe they are just scammers then there is no motivation at all, they have already won. If they really want to build something revolutionary, and sure, get paid for it, and make it worth way more, then they have plenty of motivation. I am a small investor myself, have less than 1 BTC in it, but if they pull it off that is a pretty major percentage, so I am willing to gamble that much.

I actually do believe Dan wants to make something very competitive and amazing. I don't know him very well, but he appears very passionate about cryptos and the project to me.
1551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains | XBridge | true cross-chain P2P on: November 14, 2014, 09:52:22 PM
I checked the charts and just bought back in myself. I personally think Dan and the others are very motivated to prove themselves and win big with this. It won't be dead in two months, in my view, as I am involved in one of the coins that is part of BLOCKNET - so I do get some information about what is in process. Hopefully they kick some serious ass with the project over time, more than just making money, but to silence all the FUDsters and haters for good. Time will tell of course, but whatever, I bought back in.

1553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RPCD] Rand Paul Coin (Deflationary) on: November 13, 2014, 02:09:58 AM
Hey, just a word of caution to you traders: as soon as Cryptsy enables deposits, it's reasonable to assume that there will be a massive flood of RPC into Cryptsy as people have been watching the pump and they'll be wanting to sell. It would not be surprising if the price of RPC crashes significantly as soon as deposits are enabled. On the other hand, RPCD has a pretty fair chance of pumping above 100k market cap, so maybe you don't care whether you buy at 25k sat or 15k sat. Smiley

Good call, might set up some BTC to catch that.
1554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RPCD] Rand Paul Coin (Deflationary) on: November 13, 2014, 02:06:58 AM

If anyone would like to give me feedback I would like to know if you have removed your coins from Cryptsy or if you have them stuck because you didn't have a wallet ready?

There are those who are not aware of the RPCD sharedrop and those who have their coins on the site aware of the sharedrop.

I'm really concerned they may not open their wallet back up. I would like to know if anyone received actionable feedback?

I am just as interested hearing from those that did withdraw as those who didn't. It sounds weird but such a list would be really helpful.

I contacted Cryptsy about the Wallet issue, they said they should have it fixed by Thursday, so we should be ok before the 20th I imagine. All my coins are stuck on Crytpsy, but my wallet is synched up and ready to move them once they have it fixed.

One question .....What is the difference between SuperNet and BlockNet  Shocked

Supernet is expensive with higher marketcap coins, Blocknet is much cheaper with lower marketcap coins. There are some differences in the technology and distribution models as well.

If you ignore the constant scam accusations, mostly from people holding other coins trying to protect us poor innocent crypto speculators, Blocknet and the coins in it have more upward potential. It will take time for development for Supernet and Blocknet, and volatility is normal. Blocknet is also more decentralized, but, Supernet has a lot more funding. I think they are both very interesting projects and I hold some coins in both of them.
1556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RPCD] Rand Paul Coin (Deflationary) on: November 12, 2014, 05:03:43 AM

So rand has 1 million coins out yet RPC has only about 200k so how will you do a swap for 50%?

Or are you planing to eliminate the whole 2 million future total coins for RPC?

Another question is what will happen to RPC and Rand, will one replace the other so only one will exist?

If so which one and what will the inflation/deflation be and also total [real] Max hard cap?

Thank you!

Just guessing, but I assume they would just calculate out more units for the snapshot, if it is 50% RPC, 80%, or whatever. The snapshot I believe uses blockchain data for distribution numbers, so you would want your Ron Paul Coins in your wallet before the 20th, or whenever it happens.

Ron Paul Coin is scrypt Proof of Work, so it would continue on I imagine just as it is unless some devs or the community decided to fork it or change it later. So if you buy Ron Paul Coins, you would end up with Rand and Ron Paul coins. I know a little about Bitshares, pretty sure that it how it works.
1557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RPCD] Rand Paul Coin (Deflationary) on: November 11, 2014, 10:03:52 PM
Update

1 - It is unlikely we will be changing names. Although people love Ron more, I am seeing more desire for the coin to be named after Rand. If Rand happens to not make president, the coin will still have tremendous value and can be rebranded as Ron!

2 - I do not know what is up with Cryptsy. If anyone on here does significant volume and thinks they could receive an answer about why the wallet is in "maintenance" mode it would be most appreciated.  (Search for the RPC ANN for more of my thoughts)

3 - I really want to give something to active Doge holders and BTC users. I have been discussing things with friends on what parameters I should use to accomplish my objectives. I should have better answers in a few days. I am still doing a lot of research. I really really want to target users with active wallets. It should be possible to drop to only wallets with recent activity. This way we can maintain a sharedrop in amounts worth most people's time while also targeting those who seem to be active in using the currency. I'm trying my best to maximize the value.

4 - I am excited! I heard from someone who works with Rand Paul's candidacy. I am not sure where that will go, but excitement is great for motivation. Please keep up the kind words.

5 - I still plan on taking the snapshot of RPC on the 20th. The other coins I am not so sure, but their market cap is so large that I do not feel it is important to give notice. If Cryptsy insists on shutting down their deposits and withdrawals, then the date of the 20th may be postponed until they do something about that situation.

Totally agree, my first impression was change to Ron Paul, but after talking it over with others, I think Rand Paul is much more interesting due to the current political situation. I do believe he will be made aware of it by the way. Wink

I contacted someone at cryptsy and let them know it is important the wallet is fixed so people can withdraw to their personal wallets for the snapshot, but worst case I would request a delay on the snapshot if for some reason they are unable to fix it in 9 days. I can't imagine they won't have it fixed by then, but it would not be fair if people are left out due to a technical glitch out of our control.

I run a crypto club with around 3700 people, and we are all talking about Rand Paul Coin now, some of us are buying in too, everyone is welcome to join, free information.

"I would go with:
50% RPC (to honor the Libertarian movement, and fruit of Ron Paul’s loins which happens to be the great Libertarian hope for the future yet still enigmatic)
30% BTC (to honor the greater community)
10% Doge (to honor active youth)
10% BTS (to honor initial tech founders)"

I like 70%-80% for RPC, but I hold some and always liked Ron Paul Coin, so obviously I like that percentage most. How would BTC snapshots work, or Dogecoin snapshots? Would that be held on Crytpsy at the time?
1559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RPCD] Rand Paul Coin (Deflationary) on: November 11, 2014, 07:58:42 AM
Talking with some other people, maybe Rand Paul could also work. Really have not been following politics, some say he will be the next president? If so, or if he even could be, that is a pretty good angle. Controversy isn't all bad either.

Whatever the case, very interesting!

I've been having second thoughts. Rand Paul thinks people should be put in cages over marijuana possession with other real criminals. That is an absurdity and doesn't even seem to align with the wishes of voters. I'm starting to believe that naming the coin Ron Paul would be better and have have the plan to vote on Rand stay.

Rand's people want to make out that he is cut of the same cloth as his father Ron, but it may be a situation much like the Bushs.

The best thing Rand Paul has going for it, as a brand, he might be the next President. Could get free press? Ron Paul ideologically I think matches with more of us crypto people, but might not get as much attention. I instantly thought Ron Paul all the way, but thinking it over more, I can see pros and cons of each. What would Rand Paul say of a coin dedicated to him? Would news cover such an event to fill time?
