401  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to stop paying taxes, and get out from under government control. on: September 09, 2019, 12:10:21 AM
The U.S. tax code operates on a system of voluntary compliance. Some taxpayers have used the voluntary nature of the tax system to support their claims that they don't have to pay tax at all. However, it isn't the payment of the tax itself that is voluntary. Rather, it's the manner in which people submit their own taxes.

Voluntary taxation

The nature of the voluntary tax system in the U.S. takes the calculation of taxes owed out of the hands of the federal government. You are responsible as an individual taxpayer to calculate what you owe. You're expected to voluntarily comply with the tax code by reporting what you owe to the government and paying the entire amount that you owe under the law.

Mandatory law

The Internal Revenue Code is the law of the land when it comes to determining your tax liability. While you may be able to take a deduction here or there that's in a gray area, and you may be able to argue that you have complied with all applicable tax laws, the taxes that you are legally required to pay are outlined in the IRC. You can find the IRC via the IRS website, which will direct you to the Cornell University Legal Information Institute website.

Taxation compliance

Between the complexity of the tax code and general human nature, the IRS is convinced that U.S. taxpayers, in aggregate, do not pay their fair share of taxes. As of 2006, the IRS estimated that the tax gap between what taxpayers paid and what they owed was $450 billion. This is part of the reason why the IRS conducts audits. Since 100-percent compliance would be nearly impossible to achieve or enforce, the IRS has a goal of 90-percent compliance.

Failure to comply

Although the U.S. tax system is voluntary, failure to comply carries stiff penalties. If you under-report your income or overstate your deductions, you'll face fines and interest charges. If you fail to file a tax return, the IRS will file a substitute return based only on the information it has—meaning you likely won't receive the benefit of any deductions and will end up paying more tax than you should. The IRS also has the power to levy your bank accounts, garnish your wages and place a lien on your property if you don't voluntarily pay what you owe. In serious cases, you may even face criminal charges.

San Francisco did what was the right thing to do! If you ask me, I would line up and shot in the head all white supremacists like you! America is on the edge of a civil war and I hope most of those like you will be killed.  Cool
Don't ever take Antifa to your mouth you trash! You don't even know what is Antifascist.  Angry

I love seeing how violent the non-violent left is. Prime example quoted above.
Now go search any statement made by the NRA for the last 100yrs and let me know if they ever advocated the slightest violence like the child above.

Alyssa Milano's vagina has killed more people than the NRA.

Well, In telegram, we discussed.
He has no free money and cant front the purchase.
And I cant send money/coin to a stranger and "hope" they're legit.

It's one heckuva deal, but not worth risking a $2k loss over.

agreed and that is why I went with an S9 SE - he said he could pre-purchase up to 1k and the S9's were only ones under that range. That way he could pre-purchase and I could provide funds to escrow - then both buyer and seller are protected.

Hope everything works out for you.
No disrespect towards the OP. I'd really like an S17 at that price, but with so many scams out there, I hope you understand I cant "trust" any stranger on the internet.

I've wired up my garage to run 3 S17's.  I got two last month in the $3200-3600 range. And also running an S9.   Just keeping my eyes peeled for that last unit.

to update on my order - police 686 has obtained miner and provided me with price - 25% off from bitmains price plus shipping ($110 USD)

I have used escrow via forum member OgNasty - and am now waiting for tracking number from police 686

will update once I have tracking and again once I receive miner.

So far so good sounds like.

I'll be looking to do the same.

409  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: September 03, 2019, 07:54:24 AM
Hi guys, does anyone have problem with Bitmain shipping time? I still waiting for my august batch, still not shipped.

From what I understand, they were having trouble getting the chips. A lot of companies were selling for +/- $2700 with an expected Aug ship date, back in July.  I had placed an order for 3 with a reputable company in FLA.  I was contacted by that company and told that Bitmain was unable to fulfill orders on time and had jacked up prices to $4k.

I cancelled my orders and grabbed two on eBay.  Still have my eyes peeled for a third one
410  Economy / Computer hardware / WTB- one S17 on: September 03, 2019, 07:47:18 AM
I'm looking at adding one more S17 to my little home mining hobby. Was looking at Kaboomracks and Mr Offord's posts, but I just can't figure out how to work the Telegram app.  (Yeah, I'm old... tired of adding new apps)

If anyone is looking to unload an S17, shoot me a message with price and we can start a conversation. Open to entertaining all S17 versions depending on price.

Good point.
Also wondering why no one's heard of this unit anywhere else.  The only place I see it is on their website.  And that was after they they listed S17 Pro's on Amazon for $2700, and are now telling people they cant get the shipment.

Anyone hear about these yet?

https://varispin.com/product/starlite-bitcoin-miner/

Certainly not as efficient as others, but the price point seems a little more feasible than the $5k S17's

Varispin is a solar company, based in China with a US office in Miami. One of the guys in my stock trading discord room has spoken to a Miami rep, and should be getting one of these units late this month. I'll update as I hear more from him.
