81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin anarchy on: August 18, 2018, 08:45:47 PM
Bitcoin is emasculated weak and not what it used to be.

Bitcoin was a movement by redpillers and fans of the Matrix Movies. The people who said F.U. to George. W. Bush and the NWO. The people who said we will replace the bankers.

And where are all they all now? Bent over, ass in the air, ready for penetration, head in the sand, closing their eyes.

People forgot what bitcoin was about, which was an Independent currency not controlled by the world's governments or NWO. And yet, when the NWO decides to tax and regulate, they all just instantly bend over, like all their years of hype didn't mean anything at all.

Next they will be demanding phone and id to put in blockchain address. And these so-called crypto anarchist will sweetly obey and open up their holes.

Bitcoin has not changed - its user profile has changed. There are many who would prefer regulation and all its associated features - Know your customers and what not. This would help them unlock value from their crypto holdings easily.
Ultimately Bitcoin is fungible and the governments of the world would have limited ability to try and track transactions.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 18, 2018, 08:35:16 PM
Hi,
I just wrote a program that uses Byteballs, and I am ready to start testing it out, but to do this I need a few Byteballs. Is there a faucet anywhere or could anyone help me out? I just need the minimum amount that is needed to send and receive, and exchanging crypto in the country I live is very difficult... Or in case someone can help, my address: QWAZTJ7XBYTK56LANDF4ESGCOUVG7UPX
Much obliged!

I have just sent you 1 MB.

If you want more, you don't have to buy: https://medium.com/byteball/byteball-world-community-grid-distribution-is-back-on-track-21ceadb5196e

That is a nice gesture. The World Community Grid distributions are a great way to ensure that bytes are distributed while at the same time some useful computational work is done. I can't say the same things about the other distribution methods. They seem to be hurting Byteball's price, big time.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 18, 2018, 08:25:41 PM
India vs England 3rd test, England won the toss and took bowling, They know that they can get India all out in lower score and then they can make good score and win this test match also with an innings. India after a good start lost both openers against Chris Woakes. Now this pair is important if their is one more wicket then India will be all out for below 200 score like last test match.

For a change, India played well on the first day of the test match. It did help that the pitch was not too friendly to the bowlers and we saw an even contest between the bat and ball. India ended the day at 307/6, with both Kohli and Rahane unfortunate to miss out on centuries. Late wickets have brought England back into the game.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 17, 2018, 06:18:57 PM
It should be taken seriously if you ask me , this isn't the kind of performance expected by number 1 ranked team in tests . Many people might disagree but we need someone experienced and calm minded like Dhoni in the team along with Kohli . Aggressive play is good but not too good in tests , against bowlers of such high caliber batsmen need to stay calm and play patiently.

Dhoni is not in very good form right now. What India needs is the other batsmen (apart from Kohli) to perform in hostile (i.e pace friendly) conditions. In particular, Ashwin needs to improve his foreign performance.

The problem has not been Ashwin. The problem has been the performance of the Indian batsmen. They have failed to adapt to the English conditions and don’t seem to be capable of handling the swinging ball. I expect England to wrap up the series in this match.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Day traders OUT! IN pure crypto holders. on: August 17, 2018, 06:04:21 PM
Now that market seems always falling down these will prevent day traders to day trade crypto which relatively most of the money from the investors will going to end up day trading with some of the individuals who were always looking after at the graph of crypto market price movement. Now I think they should better be gone. Without these day traders market price could go a good increase all the way. I hope they will not come back.

Why should day traders exiting the market be good for cryptocurrencies? Speculation is also good, because it provides liquidity. The person who buys your bitcoins when you have a desperate need to sell might be a day trader after all.
86  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-14] Turkish Bitcoin Volume Soars as Traders Flee the Lira on: August 17, 2018, 05:49:02 PM
I am surprised that this is happening in Turkey, because there are no capital controls in place. People can buy and decide to hold dollars, if they are uncomfortable holding Lira. There is a threat of the government imposing capital controls, but there are none at the moment.
87  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's all RED!!! This could really be the end. on: August 12, 2018, 05:13:36 PM
I see the Bitcoin obituaries starting again.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Why is that every crash in Bitcoin's price is followed by people claiming that this is the end? We have been through this before multiple times - in 2011 as well as in 2013. Bitcoin bounces back every time. If you do not have the confidence, vote with your feet and sell your coins.
88  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happened to this 'easy 10k'? on: August 12, 2018, 04:25:21 PM
Just wondering guys, you were all so confident we were in a strong bull market and would break 10k easily, looks like the opposite is becoming a reality and we're heading straight back to new lows.
You forgot that 1 Bitcoin is always equal to 1 Bitcoin.
BTC vs USD is fluctuating and in short term no one can predict anything, big players always try to profit, who will not sell with $1,000 profit for 1 BTC?

The 1 Bitcoin equals 1 Bitcoin statement is technically correct, but doesn't say anything else. What matters is what your Bitcoin is able to buy - Is it able to buy you a can of coke or a condo in New York.
As far as those who talk about the bounce to $10k, I think you just have to give Bitcoin some time.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 12, 2018, 01:30:14 PM
Wow, under 0.01 BTC. Down about 97% from ath versus BTC and 94% from ath versus USD. Looks like new marketing and distribution methods very effective Cheesy

The price is real crazy - a real let down for those who believed in the project and invested their money. I think Tony should have a real hard look at the distribution methods. Having no marketing might be better than the current dysfunctional methods.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 12, 2018, 01:21:02 PM
England lead by 250 runs and 4 wicket still left in their first innings. So almost they will make 300+ runs overall and India will be asked to bat in 2nd innings. This means India is almost on verge of losing the match and England will lead 2-0 series.

England finally declared at 396/7. That is a massive lead for England and they will be pushing for an innings victory. India have lost both their owners quickly. What has complicated the problem is that Kohli was off the field during the England innings. So he couldn't come in to bat at his usual position and has to wait for some more time.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it too late to invest in bitcoin? Is it a bubble? on: August 11, 2018, 09:37:15 PM
Investing currently in bitcoin is not too late. I remember my first time and same thing happened. The market dipped and for months I was in loss. Never new that today will be like this, and the current price we are in currently. That's why bitcoin trading is all about experience. Many are shouting that they have lost tremendously based on the current price of bitcoin. One thing about this market is that it passes many phases before it corrects. So better learn all you can this period before it kicks off.

For those who are experts in trading and have the appetite to take risk, you can try and time the market. More often than not, you will get hurt. However, holding for the long term is a safer strategy. I don't think I have the stomach to try and time the market. You did the right thing by not worrying when you had paper losses.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN = FUTURE on: August 11, 2018, 09:03:44 PM
many countries are beginning to think about how to reduce the budget for printing banknotes and metals, efficiency will have a good impact on the allocation of natural resources for other purposes, in this case bitcoin is a strong example of future currencies (crypto digital) and they only need to accept and perfecting the system and regulations, bitcoin is the future because all transactions will look transparent and there will be no more corruption and other skepticism.

Countries will not be worried about the cost of printing money. It is a small fraction of the value of the fiat currencies they actually print. But they will have other interests in mind for switching to a (fiat) cryptocurrency. And that is the ability to track all transactions, to decrease tax evasion and to even implement negative tax rates.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Notes on Bitcoin ETFs for the community on: August 11, 2018, 08:08:59 PM
There seems to be a lot of uncertainty and skepticism in the market at the moment.
I am personally not directly concerned about the issue of bitcoin ETF and how it affects the long term stability of cryptocurrencies, but with it's current impact on the market flow. We can only hope for some possitive news.

There is uncertainty, but the news on this front is only going to get better. It is inevitable that an ETF eventually hits the market. In the long run, the approval of an ETF is only going to increase the amount of money flowing into cryptocurrencies. It is better if it takes some time before an ETF hits the market, rather than a false start in regulated markets.
94  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-10] New Bill Proposes 5% Tax on Crypto Incomes in Ukraine on: August 11, 2018, 06:40:25 PM
5% is a very low tax rate and most people across the world would be happy with such low rates. Low rates also encourage compliance - it is a small price to pay to be on the right side of the law.

this would mean that the enforcement agencies will have the right to come and confiscate your mining equipment or have a pretence
to be able to squeeze some money out of the common folk who just makes their hard living in Ukraine mining or trading crypta

If the enforcement agencies do this, they would do it irrespective of whether the rate is 5% or 50%. It is good that the government has set a low rate for crypto taxation.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 11, 2018, 09:16:15 AM
Now I think byteball name make sense with the sport betting app.
Yesterday I made 6 baseball betting, it works good.
Now I think I kind of understand Tony is not exchange friendly, may he wants more people to people trade, people to people betting, and stay away from centralice exchages.
It would be a good to publish the daily volume of sport betting.

I don't think the volumes are too high. The real opportunity to increase volumes would have been at the Football World Cup. But even then the numbers weren't substantial. There are advantages to using Byteball to bet, but I guess the trend just hasn't caught on yet.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 11, 2018, 08:52:48 AM
India all out in 107 runs . This was just not the start India would have wanted after losing the first test match.  Now only rain could save this test match from India losing it, else it will be 2-0 and England almost might even win this series if it happens in coming matches.

There was a lot of hype about this test series, but India seem to be floundering badly. Their entire first innings lasted only 35 overs; that is telling because they lost 1.5 days to rain. The weather forecast for India is not good - it is predicted to be sunny and England will come out at them hard. They must hope for a batting miracle to save this test.
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 10, 2018, 05:19:11 PM
England won the toss and elected to field first. The perfect start for England as they picked up Vijay in first over itself. India are now 11/2 in 6.3 overs. They would not like to be in this position as day 1 was completely washed due to rain. And second day they started really worst as it could happen.

It was a very important toss to win for both the teams, and looks like Lady Luck is smiling on team England. As day 1 has already been washed out, and team India is already struggling at 16 for 3, these're not ominous sign for team India, they're looking for a abject surrender unless their captain Virat can take the fight back to them. After loosing the first test match it seems team India, has not really learnt any lessons, looks like another defeat is looming over team India.

It just keeps getting worse. Kohli and Hardik Pandya are out too. India have been reduced to 61/5. The only thing which might save India is the fact that almost 1.5 days of play has been washed out. England are going to come out looking positive and try to force a victory.
98  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-10] Bitcoin Core Developer Reveals ‘Critical’ Bug in Bitcoin Cash on: August 10, 2018, 04:57:59 PM
Corey acted in the best interest of the whole Crypto currency community and he showed that his ultimate goal is not for Crypto enthusiasts to lose money on their investment, but rather to protect everyone. This was done at a time when there were huge battles being fought and mud thrown at Core developers.

We also saw something similar, when Bitcoin XT was around.  Roll Eyes  We might be enemies, but we do not want innocent people getting hurts in the battle for superiority.  Wink

That is true. No matter what the differences between the various streams are, it makes sense for us to ensure that faith in the crypto ecosystem stays. Unfortunately, with every fork, there is a split in the pool of expertise backing Bitcoin as well.
99  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-04] UBS: Bitcoin Can Replace Fiat Money When It Hits $213,000 on: August 05, 2018, 05:41:04 PM
Bitcoin is unlikely to ever reach a price of $ 213,000. We already saw what happened when he just reached $ 20,000. Therefore, such a high price is simply not real for bitcoin.
Also, no decentralized crypto currency will ever replace fiat. No state will ever allow this to happen. It would simply mean in a short time to disregard the economy of any state.

As far as the price is concerned, it might still get there if we give it enough time. It reached $20,000 last year when it seemed like Bitcoin would never cross $2000 until 2016. So a bull rally might take it really high.
The point about governments allowing it to become widely adopted is valid. Once it grows bigger, they will try everything in their power to stop it.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PONZI SCAMS ARE STARTING TO RISE on: August 05, 2018, 05:26:00 PM
It once with fiat currency. The bitter truth about this is that, it is the first joiners that will benefit the most from the platform while the last comers will greatly be doomed. I just want the lesson that most of us must have learnt from fiat ponzi scheme to be used for this bitcoin ponzi as well.

Btc this time is Gold to loose not

The first joiners do not benefit from Ponzi schemes. Those who manage to get out before it crashes are the only ones who benefit. And legally, they may not benefit too, because it still will be possible to claw back returns.
The only ones who truly benefit are the ponzi operators, who usually disappear overnight.
