1061  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at an all time high on: May 24, 2017, 04:17:04 PM
I am not agree that in this year bitcoin cross $2500. Very difficult for bitcoin price.
No doubt bitcoin is growing but instead of it bitcoin can't reach at $2500 in this year.
That price of bitcoin is already high, i never see it before.
But i repeat my talk, it is impossible for bitcoin that it will be reached at $2500 in 2017.

$2500 not achievable in 2017? The price of bitcoin has crossed $2400 in most exchanges.
There will be people who are ready to bet that $2500 will be breached in May. And you talk about $2500 not being achieved in the whole of 2017.
1062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 21, 2017, 04:28:58 PM
Arsenal managed a strong finish, beating Everton 3-1. But they miss out on a top 4 finish, with Liverpool winning their match 3-0.
This is the first time in 20 years that Arsenal will be missing out on the Champions League..  Sad
1063  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 21, 2017, 09:37:35 AM
Last year I said that if bitcoin hit $2k I would stand up at work and walk out.
Of course, I just took a job for a friend of mine who I respect so I will give him 6 months.

That is nice. But are you going to cash out and book profits?
6 months down the line, if you want to quit your job, you are betting that Bitcoin does not crash from here.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin noobs beware on: May 21, 2017, 09:30:43 AM
One advise for altcoin newcomers:

If you see hundreds of different newbie accounts advertising coin x chances are pretty high that the accounts are just sockpuppets for a pump and dump.

Either you guys dont buy the coin at all or play the game and sell before it's to late!
Good luck Smiley

Some newbies still rush in to buy alts, in spite of all the warnings.
I only hope they don't go all in, lured by these crazy returns.
If they lose some money and then learn a lesson, they won't forget it in a hurry.
1065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 21, 2017, 09:28:24 AM
on interesting thing is still undecided. which team is going to be the fourth team? Liverpool or as usual Arsenal?
I think this year Arsenal can't hold their marked place, and Klopp will show som especial display by his young team in next UCL.

I would bet on Liverpool retaining their number 4 slot. They play lowly ranked Middlesbrough, who will be relegated.
Arsenal haven't been playing well enough to deserve a top 4 finish.
1066  Economy / Speculation / Re: Teh boook of HODL, CH 2 on: May 20, 2017, 04:45:52 AM
HODL until after the next halving gentlemen

That seems to be the strategy of a lot of people here. The uptick really started last year, coinciding with the halving.
If you can hold for another 3-4 years, then nothing like it. Bitcoin will really be over the moon by then.
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is crypto fighting a losing battle against Ripple? on: May 20, 2017, 04:41:42 AM
Ripple doesn't count. There should be a checkbox on CMC to exclude XRP from viewing.

In my opinion, coinmarketcap should just remove Ripple. Having a checkbox will just confuse the newbies.
And a lot of people seem to have been misled into trading / buying Ripple.
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why altcoin prices down when bitcoin up. on: May 20, 2017, 04:29:51 AM
Bitcoin is pulling everything up with it at the moment. It seems BTC and Alts are coupled.

Bitcoin may be pulling the entire crypto space, but alts are increasing at a faster rate than Bitcoin itself.
On the way down, the fall in alt prices will be quicker too.  Grin
1069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple releases 333 million more Tokens on: May 15, 2017, 02:36:15 PM
ripple is centralized it's bad, i would not invest there ever, i hear that it's only used to pay their employees, it has no real use, not even for speculation, all i see there on coinmarketcap is the dumping for this coin, just forget it focus on better altcoin

That is pretty much what i have read too. Who wants to use a coin that is only used for paying their own employees. Its like getting free workers and paying them with free money. I mean really once they made xrp they didnt habe to much beyond try to look good. Now that tra slates into btc somehow. Who knows.

At one point, people used the description of "free money" or "funny money" to describe Bitcoin too.  Smiley
I too think that XRP is overpriced, but then the market works in strange ways.
1070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 15, 2017, 02:34:14 PM
Manchester United have really lost their focus in the Premier League, they prefer to focus the team in the Europa League final, and I think it's fair because the chance to play at UCL next season is there in that game, so with that they suffered a defeat in the Premier League match Last night against Tottenham Hotspur, I personally regret the results of the match last night, Manchester United should be able to balance and provide a meaningful resistance to his opponent so that the game will be more interesting to watch.

The Tottenham players gave their fans something to cheer about, although their title hopes had ended. They dominated the first half and managed to take a 2-0 lead in the starting of the second half. Rooney's goal did give them a scare, but they managed to hold on to their lead.
1071  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 15, 2017, 02:30:29 PM

We're at $1752 on Stamp, in the same range we've been at for a week now.

A week is a long time to you ?

Some of us have been watching this for 4 years.

Look at my join date, I've been buying & HODLING since May 2014. These prices are nice but we've seen nothing yet. HODL until about 6 months to a year after the next halving then you'll see fireworks.

The halving is still some time away. We haven't even completed a year after the last halving.  Smiley
Right now, there seem to be a lot more triggers at play than the supply of bitcoins (block reward halving). In any case, I plan to hold long term as well.
1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stratis is implementing anonymous bitcoin transactions?? on: May 15, 2017, 02:26:57 PM
Stratis is implementing anonymous bitcoin transactions??

So stratis will make Bitcoin anonymous?  I wonder how will achieve that.  And also wonder why it rather dont make stratis anonymous.

Because you need something of value to piggy back on. There are a lot of coins which have anonymity features built in, but they lack the stability and network power backing Bitcoin. Stratis aims to ride this band wagon.
1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple releases 333 million more Tokens on: May 15, 2017, 02:23:35 PM
Why on earth would banks use the Ripple as is when they can make their own?
Well they already use it. The could really fork Ripple in less than a day and they could have their own chain yet not. Easypeasy Japanesee are buying right now. Join the pun.

Japanese may be fueling the rise, but the problem is the contagion effect. If XRP goes down, it is unlikely that it will be an isolated crash. It could take down a lot of alts (and maybe Bitcoin as well). Right now, everybody is having a party.
1074  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hits $1,600 and one investor says it could rally to $4,000 in few months on: May 13, 2017, 02:36:48 AM
we can see to bitcoin's price is continuously getting increased but as of now I haven't see any possibilities that it could go $4000 easily maybe for a several months but I don't think it can be in just a few months as the activity of bitcoin and the movements of its price is just slowly getting higher .

Possible to touch $4000 if only the scaling issue can be resolved. Price of bitcoin now has risen to almost $2000 now without any resolution. So if we could only agreed what solution is the best and implement it $4000 or even more is very possible.

That is a very big if. The block size debate is contentious and has split the bitcoin community vertically down the middle.
Still, it was good to see $1800+ reached even in the midst of the debate. Now we have the inevitable profit booking and Bitcoin is sliding down again.
1075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 13, 2017, 02:34:25 AM

The New EPL LORD - Chelsea! Congrats Smiley

They are so ahead that for 1st time in nearly 30 years (1989 last) we have a Friday Champion!

After the goalless first half, it looked like Chelsea would have to wait to be crowned Champion. But finally, a goal by Batshuayi towards the fag end of the match assured them the title on Friday itself.
Congrats Chelsea!!
1076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Losing Faith in Bitcoin? on: May 13, 2017, 02:31:49 AM
...

Maybe the SW/BU Bitcoin Civil War is starting to have a negative effect.

1. 182,000 unconfirmed transactions (highest I have ever seen in my casual monitoring at: https://blockchain.info/new-transactions)

2. BTC down over $100 in one day.

I sure wish the Miner Wankers and the Developer Wankers would get together and SOLVE the scaling problem(s).  Else they may damage the Bitcoin Ecosystem and discourage newbies from joining the community.

BTC to $5000 if/when they resolve all of this (credit to jonald_fyookball for that prediction, and I would agree with that number).

When BTC goes down $100 in one day, just think about what has been the price movement in the last 1 month or 1 year. There have been unbelievable gains. No reason to lose faith in Bitcoin now.
1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum beat Bitcoin to an ETF? on: May 13, 2017, 02:29:17 AM
Didn't the SEC mention the lack of regulation and possibility of price manipulation as one of the reasons? This makes any crypto ETF highly unlikely. If anything, Bitcoin will be the first ETF.
1078  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex.com is a scam on: May 11, 2017, 02:57:46 AM
Poloniex haters a simply a bunch of losers that had their first taste of how day trading is a losing proposition.  The trick is getting out before the dump.  Suddenly these idiots have found out how hard that is.  News Flash: When everyone else is dumping their shit coins, access to the system bogs down in order to do the same.  Let me guess what happened.
     1. Joe Schmuck is in some shit coin scam like stellar or ripple.
     2. Bottom begins to drop out.
     3.  Joe tries to sell but with everyone else hitting poloniex it takes longer than normal as price falls.
     4.  Joe chases the falling price until a sale order finally goes through.
     5.  Woops, now there's a dead cat bounce and Joe's FOMO kicks in and he buys back in.
     6.  Look out below, by the time he and everyone else realize it's a dead cat bounce, everyone begins chasing the fall again losing even more money.

That's not a problem with the trading platform, that's how being on the shitty end of day trading works.  Sucks to be you.

People are talking about problems in withdrawal and account verification. Nobody is talking about the price that coins trade at.
If people were worried about the price and volatility, they shouldn't be in crypto.  Smiley
1079  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warning: Bubble about to pop. on: May 11, 2017, 02:55:18 AM
Some of the delusional minds here think that a cup and handle is forming or double shoulders making for crazy future prices.

I would like to remind everybody that this is not the case. This is a pure bubble that's on extreme tension.

The 2013 peak was caused by a hack, a bot at MtGox, not by real market trading. It is a false indicator and should be completely ignored in any TA.

This craze can't go on much longer before we crash hard again to $800-$1000.

You are warned.

A crash to $1000 isn't bad at all. If people had listened to your earlier advice, they would have sold at $600 itself.
No reason for people to listen to your advice then, no reason for people to listen to your advice now.
1080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 11, 2017, 02:52:11 AM
Arsenal have won their match against Southampton 2-0. After a dull, goalless first half, Arsenal got the breakthrough through Sanchez in the 60th minute. With this victory, Arsenal keep their hopes of a top 4 finish alive.
