1081  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hits $1,600 and one investor says it could rally to $4,000 in few months on: May 10, 2017, 02:09:03 AM
Within 24 hours of CNBC publishing this article, Bitcoin hit $1800.
Usually, it is only the print media which publishes outdated articles. With Bitcoin's wild swings, even web media is finding it tough to catch up.  Grin

Southampton vs Arsenal

Arsenal have a chance of finishing in the top 4, depending on how other matches play. They need to win their remaining matches though.
Southampton have not a good run in terms of wins recently, although they did hold Liverpool to a draw.
My prediction is a 1-0 victory for Arsenal.
1083  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex.com is a scam on: May 10, 2017, 02:01:12 AM
Poloniex has the volumes. Unless you have a credible alternative and enough people migrate, poloniex is going to dictate rules and we have no choice but to follow them.
Decentralized exchanges have not really taken off until now.

BTC create it, share it. Coin is for someone else to make. Use the coin to make underground shelters for families we are in the end days lol when emp's happen than no one will have bitcoin. So put them to use and build shelters. 🤗

Another alt? So what will you do when the end of the world comes?
Underground shelters that you build aren't going to be any help in a nuclear holocaust.
1086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 06, 2017, 03:42:38 AM
This is a big blow to Tottenham's efforts to catch up with Chelsea. They lost 1-0 to West Ham,
After a goalless first half, Tottenham took the lead with Lanzini in the 65th minute. They managed to hold on to this lead till the end.
Tottenham must now hope Chelsea slips, to have any hopes of catching up.
1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why don't you long Stellar, little brother of Ripple? on: May 06, 2017, 03:38:45 AM
The price just went up by over two times overnight. Now it's in the top 15 with a market cap of $120 million.

Compared to many other altcoins, it's underperformed overall since the price has increased by only 4-5 times since Jan 2017 even after taking into account the recent price increase. Even just a week ago it was at historic lows (300 sats). Could still be a good buying opportunity. Ripple seems to be doing very well and Stellar and Ripple share many similarities.

Looks like another pump to me. Stellar might not have caught the attention of professional pumpers earlier, that is why it has underperformed other alts. There is risk involved and it doesn't seem like another buying opportunity for me.

Sell dope
Swap cash to btc
Buy mining farm with btc
Doesnt mattern if its break even
Enjoy white money
Pay tax on new white money

Is it really that simple?

Swapping cash with BTC is not easy. If you want to buy sizable amounts of bitcoins, you need to go to an exchange. Exchanges ask you to complete KYC formalities. Now, the IRS will have your entire history.

In some countries, you can buy bitcoins anonymously. Nobody will know about your purchase and even more so do not get to know the government organizations. The scheme though and is simple but not very legal

If it was indeed possible, I would suggest people should just convert their cash into bitcoins and hold. Makes much more sense than buying a mining farm and burning your bitcoins.

Todays match: West Ham vs Tottenham

odds for this match are in favor of Tottenham they have win streak and they will continue to play in this rhythm so i expect them to win and over 1.5 goals at the end. That will be my bet for this match.
Totttenham will play amazingly. They still want the best results at the end of the season. Tottenham is currently a team that has a very good teamwork, a team that is not seeded but can talk a lot in the game EPL.

Tottenham are clear favourites in this match. They trail Chelsea by just 4 points in the league table and have an opportunity to narrow the gap here.
West Ham too would like a victory here, to make sure that it is impossible for them to slip into the relegation zone.
1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH nearly messed up story on: May 05, 2017, 03:08:12 PM
When I was starting this post:
About 2 months ago, when eth cost $16, I've watched a video about it on youtube and bought 1 eth immediately. Since then I was writing and watching some stuff about ethereum and cheering up everyday, because the price was growing. Today, to my utmost surprise, eth has reached $100. I recalled that when I bought eth I thought I'd withdraw those $16 I spent on it when the price reaches $100. So, today I decided to access my wallet for the first time since then. I didn't remember for sure on which website I got a wallet but I was quite sure it was myethereumwallet.com. So, I entered the site and found it hard to understand, how to log in. It offers to log in via private key, mnemonic phrase and other things like that. I only have my login, password and adress. Does this mean that I made a great (although a small one) investment and messed everything up since I don't have my private keys?
A few minutes later: whew, I just found out that I had a wallet on another site and successfully accessed it. LONG LIVE ETHEREUM!
How many of you bought eth when it cost less that $20 then?
Edit: Found out I won't be able to sell 0.017 eth though but that's okay.

I had the option of buying it when it was under $1. I missed that bus and regret it to this very day.
Sometimes, you should just go ahead and take the plunge.
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin and altcoins thoughts and forecast - summer 2017 on: May 05, 2017, 03:04:12 PM
I suspect there will be a reversal in the fortunes of alts soon. Bitcoin's dominance has dropped from over 80% to less than 60% now.
While not all alts will fall by the wayside, I am sure that Bitcoin will reassert itself.
1093  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 04, 2017, 02:50:32 AM
This is what, the 5th constructive day we see a new ATH?  Thats a pretty rare event for Bitcoin.
Japan is loading up there country with fresh coins, this might escalate the price much higher.

5th constructive day or 5th consecutive day?  Grin
Given the momentum, I am pretty sure we can see many more ATHs in the days to come.
1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Gnosis Tokens Double in Value After Exchange Debut on: May 04, 2017, 02:47:59 AM
I doubt it. It's insanely risky to buy GNT knowing devs have the majority of tokens. They should redo the ICO.

Why should the ICO be redone? It has satisfied the objectives of the developers?
There are enough people buying the tokens, for the price to double. They now just have to wait for the right time (and excuse) to exit.
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will LTC overtake XRP in market cap? on: May 04, 2017, 02:38:42 AM
Looks like LTC is the next $1bn blockchain, but will it keep on going and eventually reel in XRP??

LTC has crossed $1 Bn. It is up 40% in the last 24 hours!!!  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked
But still a long way to go before it crosses XRP. Ripple is worth almost twice of Litecoin, in terms of market capitalization.
1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why don't you long Stellar, little brother of Ripple? on: May 04, 2017, 02:36:22 AM
Why don't you long Stellar, little brother of Ripple?   Huh

Stellar has a market capitalization of $50 Mn. It is in the list of top 30 cryptocurrencies.
There are enough people who long stellar.  Smiley
1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Gnosis Tokens Double in Value After Exchange Debut on: May 03, 2017, 02:33:25 AM
Absolutely ridiculous.

It is a strong project with a capable team, but no one can justify valuating it at over $600M market cap when there is no finished product at all. This is more evidence of a bubble in ICO and altcoins. It reminds me of the ridiculous valuation people give Tesla even though their fundamentals are absolute garbage and price is based on ridiculous speculation.

Overall: Good project, but horrible coin distribution and valuation.

A bubble is when the market overvalues an asset and there is a frenzy. If there is market manipulation, you can't call it a bubble.
People who invest in such projects are taking a huge risk.
1098  Economy / Speculation / Re: I've been very busy out spending my Bitcoins on: May 03, 2017, 02:04:47 AM
To be honest, I really regret making such a decision before but I cannot change this.
I have decided to sell most of my bitcoins that I have stored because I was considering that the 1300-1320$ area is a really attractive price for me, if we look at the history of the bitcoin you will see that it is really high at the yearly time frame chart.
I wanted to wait for a better price to have an ability of buying more ,and then selling with profit but looks like I have made a wrong decision. It is probably going to increase its value even more and I wont have that great chance to make some profits once again, and it is too late for me to buy ( at least that is my opinion ).

Bitcoin is volatile and the price may creep back to $1200 levels at some point in the future. If that does happen, make sure you buy some coins. You have booked profits and that is not a bad strategy.
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is BitBay price so low? on: May 03, 2017, 02:01:23 AM
I've been researching coins deeply and this coin offers so darn much! Why is it falling on the top 100 list? Why isn't it on the top 10? Can someone explain this to me?

Think of it as an amazing opportunity to buy some cheap coins. If you really believe in the potential of a coin, better to invest substantially in it. The market will come around to its fair value, sooner or later.
1100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Gnosis Tokens Double in Value After Exchange Debut on: May 03, 2017, 01:58:30 AM
Quote
Still, the release today follows a controversial sale in which the mechanisms used to incentivize buyers pushed the total valuation of the token supply to $300m even though only 4% of the tokens were sold.

This leaves the field extremely open to manipulation. Investors buy coins thinking they have a fine valuation. And what happens if some developer decides to exit and encashes his holdings?
