821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: October 22, 2017, 06:02:35 PM
Kohli's century was in vain as New Zealand aced their chase in a calculated manner. A total of over 330 is required on pitches like these to put pressure on the chasing team. Although New Zealand lost a couple of wicket early on, Latham and Taylor went about the chase in a matter-of-fact manner.

823  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin can hit 7000$ before end of this year on: October 20, 2017, 10:13:17 PM
Wow what a dumb post, of course that the price is probably going to hit that price, you are asking so obviously questions that does not even need to be answered.. you can see the charts by yourself and you will know that there is no need for making this kind of questions, you are only creating spam into the forum.
By the way, it is very possible to happen before december, or just before January, the price is floating at $6050 right now and it will probably go up by some hundreds before january..

It definitely might hit $7k, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that it will definitely hit $7k. The charts don't always tell the full story. Momentum is strong, but I wouldn't rule out a reversal.
824  Economy / Services / Re: I need German IBAN/ACCOUNT on: October 18, 2017, 07:33:56 PM
Hi,

I need german IBAN, I do not need my own account, if somebody just can resend me money from their account. Of course we will make a deal and I will pay for that. Please if you have som possibilities to do that, write me.

Thank you
Hope, noone will be so naiv to do that.

IBAN is only for receiving, so as far as I know, he cannot steal anything
And what is, if he sells articles, buyer pay to your bank account, you send "seller" the money, buyer doesn't get anything, seller can't be found. Who, you think, will pay the bill and be judged?

It is not just a question of fraud. It could be money laundering as well. If you use your bank account to receive proceeds of drug money, you will have a lot to answer for.
825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serious topic: how can we be sure Bitcoin will not be banned by most countries? on: October 15, 2017, 07:09:23 PM
Hi,
First of all, I am a holder, and Bitcoin is for me is an investment, I intend to hold for at least 5 years, so the question asked in the topic title is the last thing in the world I want.
That being said, with China, and now this rumor about Russia, I have to ask this question: how do you deal with the possibility that one day Bitcoin could be illegal in most countries?
Is it a possibility?
It is likely/unlikely?

All opinions are welcome.

Regards.

It is unlikely that most countries will ban bitcoins. Investment wise, many countries have already took bitcoins and other crypto currency, a thought. Many big personalities have been speculated to also invest in bitcoins. The market today demands highly on bitcoins. This would make the country think first before doing any decision.

Well, you haven't been listening to Jamie Dimon. He may be vehemently against Bitcoin, but what he is saying is not total non-sense. Governments like to control money, know who has it and how it is moving. Bitcoin undermines all this.
826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Laptop or desktop security on: October 15, 2017, 06:58:56 PM
I saw somewhere that someone was running a Full node on a Lenovo T440 Thinkpad with an Intel i5, 4GB of RAM and a 500GB HDD.  Wink

With the blockchain size reaching 140 GB, that guy is soon going to run out of space.  Grin
Unless you are not going to use your laptop for anything else, I think 4 GB of RAM will not be sufficient. It is best to get one with at least 6-8 GB of RAM.
827  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC speculation before fork on: October 15, 2017, 06:53:47 PM
To my opinion in the upcoming period the price will continue to rise and before fork we could reach even 6500$ to 7000$. After the fork a.minor dump is possible and very likely and the price could bounce back to 5000$ but I don't think this will last for long, maybe a week or two and then the price will start to pump again. But surprises are always possible, so we mustn't exclude that too.

The problem is once people realize that there could be a dump after the fork, they will try to preempt it by dumping before the fork. So some time before the fork (may be 10 days), there will be a reversal. Since the fork is a known event, there shouldn't be too much variation in price around that time.
828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: October 15, 2017, 05:59:46 PM
So do you suggest to buy some byteball or claim them with Btc? What’s the best strategy?

BTC gives you very little GB, you have to buy GB if you want to invest in it, you need to buy 160BTC to claim 1GB now (worth 0.03btc). The price is low enough where you don't really risk anymore.

Thanks for the suggestion, at this point it's not even worth to claim it.

I guess I'll have to invest something on it

That is true. Investing in byteball is a good bet actually, given its low current valuation. With the airdrops in the future, your stash will grow even more. Right now it is hovering around 60 on coinmarketcap. If it goes to around 20, your investment will grow multifold.
829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 15, 2017, 05:56:31 PM
2 matches are being played today in premier league :
Brighton v Everton : over 2.5 goals  or 1&2+
Southampton v Newcastle : Away  win  or over 1.5 goals

You got the over 1.5 goals right in the Southampton vs Newcastle match. It ended in a 2-2 draw. Newcastle managed to take the lead twice, but both times Southampton came back to deny them. newcastle will be disappointed with the result.
830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon: “I’m Not Going to Talk About Bitcoin Anymore” on: October 14, 2017, 03:00:05 PM
Looks like Jamie and Bitcoin are inseparable. People just can't stop asking Jamie about Bitcoin, and he just can't stop ranting about it. He broke his silence after just one day. Cheesy

That's what likely to be happen when someone is making a FUD. Now, he might be beating the odds of those people around him. Look what people made of what did he do and also for those Whales i guess he can't do anything about them.

He made a statement that it could trade for $100,000 before it trades for zero. The first part of the statement is going to become true. Even then I think he will rail against Bitcoin.
831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 14, 2017, 02:57:31 PM
Dissapointing game. Liverpool was in control of the match, but they only felt threatening just a couple times. A few occasions for each team, but other than that De Gea's save, nothing spectacular. I wanted goals, i was looking forward to a crazy game but overall if felt flat. Manchester united only had one clear chance, but Lukaku missed it, that was clear chance to be honest. Salah was the MVP for me, though a few long shots from him were quite terrible. Machester United really missed Fellaini and Pogba in thisgame. Mourinho being Mourinho, wanted to park the bus and saved that last sub for the final minutes. Boring, awful game yet Manchester United got what they came for.
Unfortunately i missed the game and am quite about how Liverpool dominated the game and almost won with Manchester United affording just a single shot on target, I am sure glad that we were able to escape with a point though.

"Almost won" really doesn't matter. The final scoreline reads 0-0 and that is what matters. Liverpool might have dominated the game, but in the end they have been frustrated and both teams share points.
832  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin's rally really about BTG? on: October 14, 2017, 02:36:51 PM
I do not believe this rally is all because of BTG. That fork is weak and a joke, it is also more rushed than Segwit2x. Who are the developers behind it? All we know is it was started by an Asic manufacturer from Hong Kong.

I also cannot access their website, http://btcgpu.org/

Of course it is not. The Bitcoin Gold operators are just trying to portray themselves as an alternative to Bitcoin. But they are trying to gloss over the fact that there is a premine and they did attempt an ICO before. Bitcoin Cash was a reasonably successful fork and now others are trying to get into the act.
833  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: frankywill: Avatar Campaign on: October 14, 2017, 02:34:28 PM
Hi. I'm not happy about what happened. Let's start in order. I saw on the exchange coin FRWC, and she got me interested in what dev did the total amount of coins 7 000 000. Active bidding for the sale of the coins was not. With 28.08.2017 I started working with the coin. And achieved that the coin has increased from 34 to 86 Satos . Then DEV appears and changes the number of coins up to 100 000 000. The rate drops sharply to 63 Satos. You and your accusations, just destroy the development of the coin. I now have large losses. I am not able to keep up the coins. I called investors who believe in the coin. But now poluchaetsya that not only I suffer from this situation, but those people who believe me. A very bad situation. What are your suggestions? I wrote the DEV he is silent. What do you say to this situation? I hope that dev will prove to be a decent person and he is primarily interested in the development and prosperity of the coins. Let's just give DEV time? Huh

What are you talking about? This is about an avatar campaign for which the operator did not pay. This has nothing to do with the development of the coin. Two people left untrusted negative feedback, but that really doesn't matter. So I had to create this thread. And even getting negative feedback from a DT member doesn't seem to bother the OP.

835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: October 13, 2017, 10:33:36 PM
Yes alts are going down, but still I was buying at 0.33btc, at 0.22, at 0.18... so I am tired of buying at high prices. Basically in btc rate byteball lose 90% of value (0.4btc -> 0.033btc now), so it would be just better to hold btc. I do still believe in byteball and it would be stupid to sell now. I must take these losses  Sad

You now have no choice but to hold for a reasonable amount of time. You can try buying a little more byteball to average out the price. It does have the potential to bounce back, but you will have to be patient.
836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: October 13, 2017, 10:31:48 PM
Today is the decider match between India vs Aus. Both the team are 1-1 in the 3 match T20 series. It is held in Hyderabad and rain can play a spoilsport. Any team I think winning the toss will field first and chances are that they may even win the match. Hope to see 20 overs match in both inning.

India-Australia match has been abandoned due to the wet outfield and the T20 trophy has been shared between the 2 teams. It is really a disappointing situation for all the match fans to see who would complete series with a win.Anyways it was far better than no worse situation for Australia by winning their last game of this Indian series.

Yes, its a disappointment for cricket lovers to miss a match between two great teams. The series tied 1-1, Australia really picked up their performance in the last game, and possibly we could have seen some competitive gameplay as it was a decision making game. Better to see it got tied, rather than seeing a result following some Duckworth–Lewis method or other luck favoring methods.

The BCCI really got it wrong in scheduling. They should really take into account the weather and not just schedule matches on rotation basis. It is not difficult to find cities where the probability of rain is low in a particular month. This blind scheduling just robs fans of the joy of watching the decider of a series.
837  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Wild Ride of Bitcoin on: October 13, 2017, 10:24:02 PM
It truly has been a wild ride for Bitcoin so far. 2017 has been a year which has actually shown us the potential of Bitcoin. The daily barbs by Jamie Dimon and others make me more comfortable about my Bitcoin investment.
838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon: “I’m Not Going to Talk About Bitcoin Anymore” on: October 12, 2017, 07:48:29 PM
JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said he is no longer going to discuss bitcoin after much his-publicized criticism of calling the cryptocurrency ‘a fraud’ last month. Noted bitcoin critic and Wall Street banker Jamie Dimon has been known to make dramatic statements about bitcoin, calling it a ‘fraud’ that will ‘get someone killed’. The chief executive of America’s largest bank by assets also said he would fire any employee trading bitcoin for being “stupid.”  Cheesy

The first sensible decision he has taken for a long time relating to Bitcoin. When you have foot-in-mouth disease, you should refrain from opening your mouth any wider. Given Bitcoin's stellar ride, it was inevitable that he would be asked about Bitcoin.

Byteball is known, unfortunately, as an altcoin although it has completely different characteristics compared to bitcoin. But traders and speculators are the market makers here. They pumped byteball hard in June/July to profit from the hype and they made it.
This is not a good time for Byteball but this is another coin to hold
 Grin

I'm not too sure its reputation as an altcoin affects it as much as its reputation as an airdrop coin. I haven't confirmed it but I think GBYTE has got to be the worst affected coin since BTC began its rise in July/August. The skipped (totally understandable) airdrop definitely didn't help.

It was not just the skipped airdrop. It was also the drop in the Bitcoin:BB distribution ratio. The correction was inevitable once the airdrop (almost) ended, but I didn't expect such a drastic drop with the change in distribution formula.
840  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 12, 2017, 07:40:29 PM
actually I am 95% in btc now, thats why I feel the need to buy some silver tomorrow Smiley

maybe a stupid move, maybe not..

going to buy scrap (spoons, forks etc..) for scrap value 0,30 eur / gr. Those can easily be sold if needed for a profit.. I am not touching any silver coins / bars or whatever. Scrap is the way to go in the silver game Smiley

95% in BTC!! If I had the stomach to take that kind of risk, I could have retired by now.
Silver isn't a bad hedge to your position. But I don't know why you are allergic to bullion.
