3961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: alternative that rivals the ETH on: August 31, 2018, 11:02:59 PM
Rivals? is the rival of ETH is NEO right?

If there will be another popular coin then so be it, people will just come and go and go to the most popular.

We'll use their platform as well if its better than Ethereum, period.
NEO just not a thing anymore from my opinion, right now Ethereum having its time competing EOS and the fact that EOS always dumping its ethereum coin that they raised in the ICO is really affecting the ethereum market somehow they'll run out of ETH but just give them a try, but even if EOS having more feature than Ethereum smart contract people will just stick to ETH because it's popular and there's so many exchanges for ERC20
3962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is temorary spike on: August 31, 2018, 05:12:22 PM
The entire ETF is beginning to end up an all the more desensitizing issue to crypto financial specialists, we got to 20k without an ETF man, and the crypto market and improvement proceed onward with or without an ETF.
But this ETF rumour and news somehow giving a little or more sentiment and is affecting the market, could consider this as one factor of that temporary price rising however it's right that ETF is actually too overrated when it comes to cryptocurrency.
Maybe people could just get over with it and just keep doing the same like december back then.
3963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long will this bear market continue? on: August 31, 2018, 04:46:53 PM
Up until now the market is on bearish season. If you guys really wanted to be rich then this is the right time to buy alts. All alts are down from -90% ATH.
We'll be glad if all alts are going mainstream adoption. We'll enjoy the benefit of being a millionaire.
Your saying really sounds like gambling that's aims to get quick money LOL. although it's can be considered a good time to buy but there's no guarantee that the price will rise anytime soon therefore saying everyone can be rich by buying crypto is kinda not right.
3964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia is about to be friends with cryptocurrency! on: August 30, 2018, 05:39:15 AM
Yes. We can observe that many ICO projects are created by Russian developers. So the answer is obvious.
Even the 2nd rank coin is coming from the brain of russian developer, that alone answer why Russia have intention to somehow accepting cryptocurrency. Judging from that aswell if russia is really doing so
crypto will be booming in russia and maybe hyped up for few moment, but well that's just my guess.
3965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Cryptos finally getting stable? on: August 30, 2018, 05:35:33 AM
It feels like it's this time of the year again for the bullish market. Not sure if it's gonna the same as last year though. But many will recover. Whaddya think?

Until now, cryptocurrency will never be stable, because of the advantages they bring is that they are volatile, and almost all crypto currency trading is based on that fact. That is the reason why crypto brought a lot of success over the past few years, and has many fans from all over the world.
Not the advantages, it's the immature market that's not even 10 years old and not "that big" overall market capitalisation that make it really volatile, it's unlike gold that's already have huge market that the price can't change drastically overnight.
3966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Winner of this year, ETH or BTC? on: August 29, 2018, 11:34:29 PM
I believe that bitcoin will retain its leadership in the cryptocurrency market. and Ethereum will not be able to surpass bitcoin.

In terms of the value, Bitcoin is a head against Ethereum but in investing, Ethereum is better than Bitcoin as of now precisely that Bitcoin has reached its limit and maybe yes that Bitcoin is hard to surpass.
Bitcoin is nowhere reaching its limit, however this year ETH is crushed, the bitcoin dominance is the proof, when ETH falling on its price the market capital will automatically be less and less by that bitcoin dominance increasing.
However, ETH could still surpass bitcoin, only if the total supply x price = more than what bitcoin capital is having now.
3967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be to the online World what Dollar is to the World economy. on: August 29, 2018, 11:19:37 PM
USDT is what people consider online reserve currency and not bitcoin, you can see why USDT could gain such huge market capitalisation within just short amount of time? It's because people are already consider USDT
as reserve currency, bitcoin is fluctuative but USDT is not. Realistically speaking, bitcoin is a gold of the online world and USDT is the dollar.
3968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Delays in transaction -ETH and ERC20 on: August 29, 2018, 05:24:14 AM
I've tried to make a transaction wit really low GWEI number, but i think it doesn't take to long until the transaction i've made done.
Perhaps there is some matter that makes the transaction delayed for that long.
You're commenting the thread/topic right now it's already outdated by the fee standart, back then in july the network is so crowded the gas required for transfer is peaking but now the fee is really low
that means the network is at normal condition so your transaction is not going to be delayed that long.
3969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Your Money Safer In Crypto than at the Bank? on: August 25, 2018, 05:34:50 AM
For me its both nothing to compare, because bitcoin is decentralized and because of blockchain your transaction cannot be easily traced and also in the bank it is safe, banks have a lot of securities and also doing their best to protect their clients.
That's what you can benefit from the centralized nature unlike the decentralized ones. There's authority to control over all the transaction and everything is reversible since that centralized instance have absolute right to modify what has happened but with decentralized blockchain system that's not going to happen.
Also if we're talking about bank, there's ofc some fraud ones but most of the bank that's under government have guarantee for their client's fund because centralized nature ofcourse.
3970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Theft on: August 25, 2018, 05:24:16 AM
My ETH funds were stolen and I am sure I didn't give out or handled carelessly the Mnemonic phrase, JSON file, private key nor the key store. Please I want to know ways by which a cryptocurrency wallet could be hacked.
What are the websites that you visited recently? My suspect is you just became careless and you logged in to a phishing link though you said that you are careful of not giving out your keys, you are still vulnerable to log in to a fake site / phishing site that you aren't aware if you are in a hurry or you just really don't care of that site you are logging in. Like what has been said, you probably downloaded something that contains malware that affected your computer that allowed the intruders to touch your files on your pc.
This is the most likely option, there are many people that have seen movies and have distorted ideas about hackers, without a doubt they know a lot about computers but most of the time they prefer to deceive people than to deceive computers since it is way easier to deceive people, so most likely the OP was sent a phishing link and he accessed it thinking it was a link to the original site.
Well, even those phishing site sometimes can get into google adwords overtaking the position of the real official website to #1 in the google search engine mainpage. I don't really recommend using any kind of web wallet unless you are really aware of what risks you may get exposed to.
Just stick with desktop wallet that has 2fa and everything will be fine, just imagine if you tighten the security earlier you won't lose that money.
3971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reading Whitepapers on: August 25, 2018, 05:19:11 AM
reading whitepapers is a great source of information for new people to the cryptospace, alot of these concepts seem very not needed sometimes I recommend you new folks to read Mybit whitepaper it will definetely open your eyes to a few pockets of the blockchains usage with certain sectors of the cryptosphere.
Anybody else has a couple of informative whitepapers, that opened your eyes to a certain technology or undervalued market or just good information?
Im about to read deeponion's!
I think that all the technical details should be written in the whitepaper as it is the most important source of information about the project. Recently I was searching for tezos WP, it has only 17 pages of purely technical information. Have you seen the Whitepaper of Foresting ICO? There are more than 120 pages of information, in my view that's really a lot. I think 30-50 pages would be enough to provide as much info to investors as they need.

There's no word "too much" if it's about explaining technical aspect of the project, there's some investors that only want to know the project enough but there's also some people who want to get into detailed depth-in technical aspect of the project since they are taking the project really serious unlike the others.
By that, even if it's 200 pages if the technical aspect of the project is explained briefly to its detailed things, there'll be someone else looking after that.
3972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about Ethereum Classic being added to Coinbase? on: August 25, 2018, 04:56:25 AM
It is a good news, but only for ETC holders. I do not believe that it will have any impact on ETH price
and overall Crypto market. It is just a coin added to one of the biggest exchanges.
ETC is a forked coin from ETH, has different blockchain, different community base and there's nothing to worry about, even if it gets listed into some major exchanges. It may affects ETH, however that's only a little bit.
The fact that coinbase adding ETC is just as normal as when other exchanges adds more crypto to its listings. Its main point is to cover a wider range of cryptocurrency users.
3973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your coins in multiple wallets on: August 25, 2018, 04:49:28 AM
I lost some coins this year (my own fault in Phising)
But if you send your coins to multiple wallets you can split your investments better.
When your wallet is hacked you only lose this wallet.
This is my lesson for the next time  Smiley (and some other securities)
What do you do to secure your coins / tokens?
That's a right thing to do, I prefer to keep my ERC-20 tokens on MEW because it's rather reliable and fast way to access the funds and transfer them to any exchange at any time.  You just need to follow the basic rules of security, if you don't want to get phished.
Basic security is not effective if you are holding such a big amount of money especially considering the fact that MEW have experienced few hackings. Although we can still justify to use MEW as long as we have a better security than the basic ones. You see hardware wallet out there that supports MEW, it's really improving the security to a whole new level so just use that, alternatively there's few desktop wallet that's built in with 2-fa which I strongly recommend if you dont want to spend any money for "security".

3976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin correction is healthy! on: July 19, 2018, 07:32:49 AM
Yes, correction is very good for a market because it will help drive away some bad yokes and normalize the market and I also believe after the correction, there will be positive increase in the price of bitcoin and other crypto.
But frankly speaking, correction is not a necessity when it comes to price pumping, correction is just some traders are setting their target at some point and then dumping it altogether but that only crush a little of buy wall.
Whether with or without correction, if the price is pumped steadily then it can be called a healthy market too, but if all of the pump and dump happen suddenly, well there's maybe some manipulation or just a temporary hype train.
3977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO Could Surpass Bitcoin By The Year 2019 on: July 19, 2018, 06:33:18 AM
the circulation of neo is 65000000 . it is now priced at 40 dollars . the circulation of bitcoin is 17150237 . the price of bitcoin is 6364 dollars now . the gap is too big . it is undeniable that neo is a very promising coin .

Yes, gap is too big plus you have to look at adoptions too. Neo is not as popular as btc or even eth at this point. It may reach btc current price if btc reaches 100x its current value but I don't think it would ever surpass btc.
Kinda true though, for NEO it is just too hard to steal other people's attention from bitcoin or ethereum to NEO. Even majority of people I know only know BTC and a little know ETH too.
NEO is just not as popular as these two therefore 1 year is not enough to build reputation especially overtaking ETH and BTC popularity, that's just nearly impossible.
3978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best competitors to Ethereum? on: July 19, 2018, 05:41:38 AM
Right now the best competitor for ethereum is neo because neo chain is already running for quite some time and there's several projects that run on their chain. Cardano and eos can be ethereum competitor in the future but right now it is still early because ada hasn't launch their chain while eos is still a mess.
NEO is just a past, although it's still in the top 10 altcoins with higher market cap but there's EOS that seriously give a competition to ETH because they just trying to dump ETH as much as they can so that the value of their coin will increase but good thing that it just have a temporary overall effect to ETH.
If that's EOS's strategy to overtake ETH, kind of curious what will they do in the future.
3979  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Which Hardware Wallet is better? Ledger or Trezor on: July 19, 2018, 05:37:43 AM
I used trezor only, but my short review is that it's a really worthy wallet, the process to setting up the wallet for the first time and for daily use is just really simple and not that complicated.
I will maybe buy a ledger aswell if I have a chance but I'm kinda doubt about its durability despite having similiar shape like a flash drive.
3980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Its the start of the bullrun ? on: July 18, 2018, 05:59:33 AM
No one knows exactly what's currently going on at the moment but it's really looks like a sign of bullish market and maybe the history will repeats? Q3 to the end of the year the market will be bullish again just like before.
If that so, that's a good thing. Otherwise keeps on watching the market, just hoping that the sudden pump is not a bulltrap.
