3941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC in crypto, does it really require? on: October 04, 2018, 10:35:49 PM
KYC is necessary and our personal data is quite save in as much as the project is filled with viable service to be deliver, Some ICO'S require  KYC base on there country of location, and governmental rules that will aid the survival and existence of the project, also KYC is required in order to dictect  scammers and hackers in the space in order to reduce there expression in the space.

The thing I bold above, you can't be really sure, the project can be really legit and later turns out to be scam and your data is not safe. It's your data that saved up to their storage and will be kept forever.
Any misuse can be done as long as one of them have bad intention to. Most of people will realize this once their data floating around in the dark web to be sold to someone else.
There's no such thing as "save" when it comes to giving away data so keep watching the project that you've sent your personal data to.
3942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hitbtc unrealistic deposit and withdrawal fees on: October 04, 2018, 10:32:12 PM
Hitbtc's deposit and withdrawal fees are absolutely ridiculous. For example, ETBS which I want to trade on HITBTC, it costs 30+ ETBS just for the deposit fee. Its equivalent to $60USD+. It is hindering the growth of token's prices. What should I do if the token of mine is only listed on Hitbtc and coinexchange(0 trading volume)? Etherdelta is the last option but no one really uses it.
I've used Hitbtc once and to be honest the platform is really great and my deposit and withdrawal was fast. The downside was the withdrawal and trading fees are so high and you can't trade your tokens if it's less than 100. Unlike in other exchanges you can trade your tokens even if it's less than 100. I would avoid to use hitbtc for now.

Hitbtc is totally a mess on fees. but regarding on the thing you said about ETHERDELTA, it is a good platform to trade than hitbtc because of the fee! i am serious if the token only have hitbtc and etherdelta you can see more volume on ED than hitbtc as long as they are collecting super high fee.
Hitbtc will be gone soon if they continue doing this.
That's the problem with centralized exchange, most of them are setting ridiculous fee to gain as much profit as they can, another case is when the BTC requires high network fee to be sent. After the lightning network deployed and the required network fee drastically decreased, their withdrawal fee still the same anyway, I'm talking about centralized exchanges and majority of them.
3943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 99% OF ALL AIRDROPS ARE SCAMS!!!!! on: September 26, 2018, 08:15:38 AM
I think this is a very wrong statistics. I can ruin you for a few sentences. What was your sample that you came to 99% ?
That's true, just an utterly speculation but however the intentino made by the topic starter in regard to stop airdrop scamming activities or atleast making people be more aware is what I take from this topic.
In that case the statistic no need to be credible but we just taking the good intention made by the topic starter.
3944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need so many stablecoins? on: September 26, 2018, 08:09:08 AM
I know only one stablecoin, it is Tether, it was stable for years now, but is there any other that are reliable to use and fix your money in times when market is folling?
Plenty i must say, Gemini USD, nomin that initally going to be released by HAVVEN if I recal correctly,Ekon by Eidoo that's tied with gold and other. But I often heard from people that in order to use Tether we need to verify KYC first and if that true, could be bothersome for
some of people that get into crypto by considering anonimity, other than that will be totally fine.
What I'm really waiting is Ekon that's tied to gold, sounds really interesting.
3945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: If an exchange gets hacked on: September 21, 2018, 10:11:20 PM
I think it could also be stolen since hackers hack this exchanges for profit or get money from it and most of what you stated have value. So, in my opinion I would rather put my coins in a wallet rather than in an exchange.
You are right, we shouldn't store on the exchange because not only hackers but also the exchange itself may collapse. This is common knowledge and people choose to store in their wallet (no exchange wallet) when they want to hold coin long term.
A verified exchanges when declarimg that they are bankrupt or going to close down their services will usually make an announcement so that people could withdraw their coin and at the same time giving time for people, but the fishy ones are not so beware.
3946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple the next bitcoin? on: September 21, 2018, 03:32:43 PM
I doubt it, but I mean anything is possible. If banks decide to pump it like crazy then maybe. Is it really a true "cryptocurrency" though?
I dont think so, if banks is the one that pump then thatll simply make xrp more centralized and the banksters will be more dominant
ill stick to bitcoin even if xrp take over the 1st place because I simpoy dont like the idea though.
3947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Government does not like crypto? on: September 21, 2018, 03:27:16 PM
Cryptocurrency is the most popular terms nowadays. People like cryptocurrency so much. Many people are involving in the crypto world. Everyone wants to earn money from cryptocurrency. While people are liking cryptocurrency, Government does not like it at all. In some countries, the government banned the cryptocurrency. What is the reason behind this banned?

This is a good topic actually, some of the government in the other country they banned bitcoin or crypto but in the end they ride on the trend as well. But still other government really hate crypto because most of it was unregulated while the government was being categorized on centralization system. But I wondered why some country declared to regulate bitcoin or crypto to their territory like Korean, Japan if I am not mistaken.
they choose to regulate it because they are smart enough to foresee that crypto a little or big could benefit their economy. just imagine if they are taxing all the circulating money in crypto due to the regulation they releaswd which is legalizing crypto and then people will move their mlney to japan.
3948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust ICO Rating sites? on: September 21, 2018, 03:10:21 PM
For me, most of these sites give information about the team, the project and contact details. Using this information you can analyze yourself and don't need any expert opinions.
Cant really call them expert if they only reviewing the ICO subjectively and only based on money they got.
i'd prefer ICO details site than those crappy ICO rating ofcourse.
3949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple the next bitcoin? on: September 21, 2018, 03:03:08 PM
Comparing Ripple with bitcoin is ridiculous.  XRP is not Ripple, and Ripple is not XRP. This was reported by the team Ripple through its official Twitter account. XRP is an independent digital asset, while Ripple is only a company offering new technology solutions to the market.
I guess i really dont know about that until you pointed it out. if I recall correctly back then it's still called after ripple not XRP because it's just a ticker but now in CMC it's called XRP just like the ticker I guess your point does make a lot of sense
3950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacking kills the cryptocurrency market on: September 21, 2018, 02:44:18 PM
This is not entirely true, because hacking affects not only the crypto currency, think for yourself, if it were not for hackers, then we would not be able to build such a security system today, it seems to me that it is hackers that contribute to improving security.
Even so justifying that hacking activities is not a right thing. I mean if they want to help improve the security why dont they report the hole or bug they found to the technical teams?
most of company will even give a compensation or reward if they feel get helped by the report
3951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why ICOs fail on: September 20, 2018, 04:09:45 PM
They failed because of lack of experience to make their project into success. Experience is one of the important ingredients in order to make their project bloom in the market. There will have enough investors, good managers, enough numbers of bounty members in order to help the rapid growth of the project to produce good ending.
So many project out there was led by people with tons of experiences and still fail. Being experienced only add the odds of being succesfull and that doesn't make the project automatically success. it's the execution of the roadmap that make a project success.
by always sticking to roadmap, a project could prove itself that they are legitimate.
3952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do u follow what politicians say about cryptocurrency? on: September 19, 2018, 03:16:53 AM
I don't follow what politics think and say about cryptocurrency. There are many different views on crypto nowadays and I don't think that politics are competent enough at the moment to know for sure how the cryptocurrency will evolve over the next several years.
Not really, too much politician are just too old to learn a new thing, most of them are just to afraid of new things. Theres a day I recall someone expert in politic saying that e-commerce is a threat and as it turns out they are wrong.
Wait until our generation turn and then we can expect a perfect regulation for techy things.
3953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your crypto informations securely? on: September 19, 2018, 03:05:21 AM
I personally store all my account addresses and private keys on the goggle drive.
guaranteed security and the way is very effective for me personally, just use the internet network all the data that we want can be seen.
"Guaranteed security"
Well I don't think a cloud storage that have authority to disable an account which in other words have access to your private file will guarantee you security or privacy. Just imagine having a password, you want it to be secure but giving it away to stranger that's offering password saving services and you dont know thing about what he'll do to your password because he can do anything anyway.
3954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Drop in ICO Price after listing on: September 19, 2018, 03:00:43 AM
I invested and joined as bounty hunter in many ICO which has good concept, experienced team members and also good hype but after listing price drops very much. Some of project also not recovering since long time. Any comment.

This is actually normal. After listing, bounty hunters will try to sell their coins/tokens and with that the prices will definitely drop. If your coins has really a great potential then eventually it will recover but it will take sometime before it evens returns to its ICO price.
What I think affect the most is the fact that most of altcoins out there that have done fundraising tend to be listed into somehow low volume exchanges and as you know, low volume of trade can be easily manipulated, even if it only few thousand dollars then if someone dumping their coin it will give a big impact. Just see how different coin that's listed directly into a popular exchanges and the one that barely got any listing.

3956  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we must study Economics at University? on: September 01, 2018, 11:02:54 PM
On university you have possibility to learn everything about that section. Without going on university you can also develop skills and gain required knowledge but you would have to be gifted for economy so you could be successful on that field.
I am partly interested in economy because it is part of everything that is happening in the world and I like to be in touch with it.
No need to be gifted, I'mn sure that if you are trying to self-taught yourself you will be able to have the same knowledge as those who studied in university but the only problem is that they got a certificate, a license that they're proven to be qualified to have an Economic degree and that's the main thing people usually pursue.
3957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What attracts you to a good crypto exchange? on: September 01, 2018, 05:10:48 AM
Go for the exchanges offering zero transfer charges
Pretty sure that there's no such thing or even if there is that exchange might be in a promotional phase or just have low liquidity because if they offer zero charges then there's something else they will make profit from like selling data of their client?
Im not being paranoid but it's better to pay a little and be safe than risking ourselves while saving barely $1 a month.
3958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market can be manipulated? on: August 31, 2018, 11:23:21 PM
Latest article by www.wired.co.uk stated that a newspaper by researchers  at the University of Texas at Austin's department of finance indicates that someone at Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange may have artificially inflated the price of coins including bitcoin, ether, and Zcash. The responsible for this appears to have been Tether, a cryptocurrency with the same CEO as Bitfinex.
What are your thoughts about this? Do you think they really manipulated the price? Is it possible?

This is total lie! Bitfinex bought bitcoins with their US dollars which were converted into Tether. It has already been proved!
Yeah there's proof of transparency for USDT aswell and their USDT compared to their funds is already confirmed legit, so this topic is not valid anymore. Even if bitfinex manipulate the market, the only chance is that they are using  their real money to do the manipulation, but it will requires a gigantic resource maybe approximately hundred millions dollar.
3959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust celebrities endorsing cryptocurrencies? on: August 31, 2018, 11:11:18 PM
Most celebrities do not understand anything in cryptocurrency. I don't listen to what they say. Because basically they do it as advertising. Therefore, I believe that we should not pay attention to their words.
The main point of advertising through celebrities is to make people have the urge to find out what cryptocurrency and the project that the celebrity advertised is. It doesn't matter whether the celebrity know what they endorsed anyway.
If they could attract huge amount of people then it's worth it to get exposure from them.
Although most of the time I would consider this kind of celebrity endorsement to be somehow ineffective and taking so much money.
3960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How important is a community behind a crypto project? on: August 31, 2018, 11:06:06 PM
Real community that supports the project is very important.
But don't mix thousands of telegram bots and social multiple accounts with the real community.
True haha, but a strong and supportive community can be seen on how active the telegram group or the ANN thread is, if there's so many conversation big chance real people is there too.

There is not much to say, I think that people will very soon begin to understand that the community is the most important thing that can support the price of a crypto-currency project, because it is the community that fuels interest
Most of the time when a community is so strong they hyped the coin and talking about it anywhere, the demand increases.
