6941  Economy / Economics / Re: 4+ million sign ups for the new Robinhood platform competitor to Coinbase on: February 22, 2018, 11:05:16 PM
Not sure if I got it correctly but how it is possible to get millions sign up if it's available in the only 4-5 state in the USA. And I don't see how a free trading commission can be used to manipulate
Anyway, it's crazy challenge they accepted with cryptocurrencies, so good luck to them
6942  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which wallets have Segwit enabled? on: February 22, 2018, 09:56:38 PM
@Wind_FURY

Does it help? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2657620.msg27085480#msg27085480

@OmegaStarScream opened a topic not long ago to list the SegWit wallets (Web wallets, Hardware, Desktop, etc...)
and you have https://bitcoincore.org/en/segwit_adoption/ as well.

@pooya87
I think Bitwala closed the registrations to new people when they lost the debit card issuers, and are currently waiting for their banking license (which may come in several months)

sorry, until today I didn't notice the date and @mrmin007 bumped a 2 months old topic /:
6943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction fee down to $0.11! SegWit works! on: February 22, 2018, 09:45:51 PM
See the mempool with about no unconfirmed bitcoin transaction. You can use a 1 sat / byte it will be confirmed in a decent time.
Go out Btrash supporters, your propaganda is almost failed, yet you give as excuse theBTC transactions number is in decline ^.^
Bitcoin is the real Bitcoin

6944  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New site. Can you please give me some feedback. on: February 21, 2018, 09:41:18 PM
It looks good the site isn't overloaded with a dozen of banners advertisement like others. There are some things that you may need to adjust. (it's a just an opinion so take it with a grain of salt, you know)
Like the table is so large, I have a 17" screen and use the zoom at 125% always, but when I enter in your site I feel I am using a 200% zoom level.

While I am at it, I am going to ask you. How the graphs "Change" are generated on the homepage
6945  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase BTC withdraw fees decent today! on: February 21, 2018, 09:12:39 PM
It's not because Segwit since it hasn't been added yet. It's like this for several days now. The mempool is in "sleeping mode" currently. BTW I am curious to know how much did you get charged in fee to do the transaction?
I have done various withdrawals in the last days till today, and have been charged fees in the range of 0.0002 to 0.00025BTC, which is pretty fair. I am sure that it could be done with a lower fee as well, but it can't be adjusted.

Imagine how things will be with SegWit. I am confident that the fees will decline with at least 50% to put it conservatively. Obviously, that's assuming the mempool won't get cluttered again.

Thanks. Maybe I will start to use it again  Grin a 0.00025BTC fee is decent, I think it's half of what it was before if I am correct. Hopefully, more services/merchants/wallets/exchanges/etc will start to adopt Segwit asap, it will give a boost to Bitcoin (not a lot maybe, but it still good to take)
6946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uzbekistan legalizes Cryptocurrency! on: February 21, 2018, 09:02:57 PM
Is it me or?

Guys, did you read the article and see something inside talking about the country legalizing cryptocurrencies?
I think the title is misleading if you read the article the point is their president "approved the creation of a competence center for distributed registry technologies at the Mirzo Innovation Center Innovation Center. Its main tasks will be the formation of conditions for using the capabilities of blockchain, increasing the human resources potential and supporting domestic developers in mastering this technology"

The only reference to cryptos is "Earlier, the representatives of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan negatively spoke in relation to virtual money, calling them an instrument for financing terrorism."

6948  Economy / Exchanges / Bitfinex added Segwit on: February 20, 2018, 08:52:08 PM
Quote
Bitfinex added today P2SH Segregated Witness for deposit and withdrawals. With the improved processing times, the company estimate people will pay 15% less their transaction fees.
I hope to see more companies adopting it for the benefits of every Bitcoiner it will boost Bitcoin to be more adopted.
6949  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain affecting Websites? on: February 20, 2018, 04:46:33 PM
And how do you think the blockchain technology can make a different internet without blogs, shops, forum, etc and why the blockchain technology would make websites disappear from the www. I don't get your point.
6950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto trading site on: February 20, 2018, 04:23:15 PM
People are still using Poloniex ?? Bittrex and Poloniex are 2 websites I wouldn't recommend to anyone, to be honest. Especially Bittrex...
Cryptopia and Binance are a good choice, I have never seen someone with the account frozen with Cryptopia.
Both are good to trade the "not so well know" cryptos, but if you trade the famous one then you may find a better alternative by choosing the largest exchanges (Bitstamp, Kraken, etc...)

Binance and Coinbase are my favourites so far. They have great reputation amongst the crypto community and you can trade top tokens/coins with low fees.
Coinbase isn't really a trading site, but I guess you are just interested to post your affiliate links masked with Twitter shorten links
6951  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A working cryto debit card? on: February 20, 2018, 04:07:14 PM
A simple question, does anyone here s got any working crypto debit card besides Bitpay for US residents? Is there anything which works in Europe and the fees are not going to make me cry?

Once more, I d like to hear experience of people who have the card working ATM, not that preorder stuff.

Thx

Well, i habe a viabuy card since Year Button habe mit usd iTunes a whole. Aso i Haven logged in again, i saw thats thy habe Added bitcoin Aso funding Option. Unfortunately thy Limits stehen pretty low, i was ablr to load only 900€ via BTC for 1 month.

A few minutes ago I have ordered a card from satoshitango.com, will report as soon as I have any update.

Some said that epayments.com is working but my verification won't get through

Hey
Do you know what is the company issuing the card for SatoshiTango? I didn't see it mentioned on the website and I tried to read the Terms and Conditions but it's in Spanish or Portuguese, I am not able to find something even with a translator. It will be helpful if you can give us your opinion once you used it

I suggested ViaBuy sometime ago but a member pointed me to their Trustpilot page which had several complaints. Did you get a problem with since you have it?

C'est fini depuis le partenariat avec Transferwise. Y a qu'a voir dans la partie anglaise les gens qui se font cloturer leur compte au fur at à mesure
6953  Other / Meta / Re: Total disorder in the french forum Looking to see something done definitely. on: February 20, 2018, 03:41:57 PM
You just expect us to choose a French person at random to become a mod? What makes you think whoever we chose would do the job adequately? The person who is actively reporting would be the best candidate but if you're discouraged from reporting then that person will likely be discouraged from moderating as well.

There is almost "no moderation" in the French forum so it's not difficult to do better than the current guy. I am going to repeat again but: Reporting for what Hilariousetc? To see the reports marked as bad? Why do you want people to continue to report if nothing is done, honestly would you do it yourself? I bet NO.

There are several Legendary members in the French section who could manage the forum. It's not that the rank matter but just to say, there are a lot of people who are old members of Bitcointalk and active for years and know very well the French section.

No need to reply, nothing against you, but I think I am done -.-

6955  Other / Meta / Re: Total disorder in the french forum Looking to see something done definitely. on: February 19, 2018, 11:05:18 PM
There aren't enough reports there. Here are the top reporters over the last 90 days, unhandled reports only:

Code:
+-------+-----------+----------------+
| count | ID        | reporter       |
+-------+-----------+----------------+
|     9 |   1056600 | baba0000000000 |
|     7 |   1007192 | JeremyB        |
|     7 |   1082600 | kenzawak       |
|     3 |   1456247 | eklA           |
|     2 |    225121 | franckuestein  |
|     2 |   1580039 | asche          |

Even if you look at the handled reports over the last 90 days, only a few people have more than 10 reports.

Report bad posts even if you perceive that nothing is being done, as report stats are one of the primary methods I use to look at how moderation is going in a section, and to assess potential new moderators. Pay attention to your report accuracy; I see a lot of reports marked bad in the French sections. (If you think that a report is incorrectly marked bad, complain about that to your local moderator or in Meta.)

Discouraged, members stopped to report posts a long time ago, it's what I was explaining, see yourself with the table you posted it's a good example. Why are we supposed to report when we know nothing is done? come on. I do use the report button on the different forums but why should I waste my time doing it in the french forum? Report marked as bad because it's is a way to tell us, I do what I want. (my accuracy is fine with 99%, but I am not going to waste my time anymore in the french forum, I even stopped to be active in for obvious reasons)

Members are dealing with a forum looking like 4chan, you don't know where to go. Soon you will see in the dev section a lady with a makeup tutorial or how to get pregnant.
It's not like if I was the only asshole complaining out there, almost every French agree. It does mean there is a real problem to look at and a reassessment may be necessary
6956  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia, ETH withdrawal broken, no support ... on: February 19, 2018, 12:37:41 PM
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz          Blacklisted. Disgusting exchange!!!  Angry Angry Angry

They mentioned somewhere, I don't remember well but I suppose I saw it on Twitter or via a newsletter, that everything is coming back to normal this week. Personally, no problem from my side but I understand it can be frustrating. Considering how most of the exchanges struggle I would say no need to worry, it's not such alarming and not even a red flag.
6957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poland’s Central Bank Secretly Paid Youtubers to Slander Cryptos on: February 18, 2018, 11:35:55 PM
Do you know the adage: A bad advertising campaign is a free advertising campaign and it's better than nothing. It's a free promotion when people don't stop to talk about you, look at all the years mainstream media spent on bashing Bitcoin, it helped to spread the word.

Let's imagine IRL

Question: "Hi, what time is it please?"

Answer: It's 04.45 pm sir and the good news is there are 24 hours in 1 day, It's awesome sir it's a good project sir I have read the white paper
I am sure it will go the moon soon. #hodl and if you are not aware there are 60 minutes in 1 hour and each has 60 seconds.. There are several place where you can buy a  Swiss watch for cheap.  "Swatch was originally intended to re-capture entry level market share lost by Swiss manufacturers during the quartz crisis and the subsequent growth of Japanese companies such as Seiko and Citizen in the 1960s and 1970s, and to re-popularize analog watches at a time when digital watches had achieved wide popularity. "
I heard some people are able to travel in the future but the truth is i think they cheat the system to run faster than the hours which is a scam behavior.

I can't really comment on the state of the French section as I can't speak French and rarely go in there but I also rarely see any reports coming from that section either. If you want to help out then keep reporting. If reports are going unhandled then staff will see there's demand for another mod.
@hilariousetc
Thank you but reporting for what? People stopped to do it long ago when we noticed nothing is done. We can't keep clicking the report button if nothing happens after. Just to check I tried some days ago with several posts, and guess what, nothing, nada, zero, quedal...
