the reason i ask if it was a rip-off was the process of selling it, i bought into silver and gold a few years back when it was lower, but it seemed i couldnt even remotely close to the asking price for the metal selling it when i needed the funds for something. It was like 5+% loss on the selling of it compared to market prices at the time...

Is the website having issues again? its showing all my rigs at 1/2 hashrates... just wanted to bring it up so if there is a problem it can be fixed
Im ASSUMING im getting full credit, as the accepted shares on the miner itself are normal hashrates, just noticed the website was showing everything by half

I was geting bored with 1080ti and ZEC... so I have moved most of my 1080tis to mine CHC at yimp directly a CHC wallet.

The 1070s and 1060s are still hard at it at ETH... every DAG is a mountain to climb now.

Sad to say that you need at least 1GHs now to make ETH worth to mine.... anything less than that will be just to tough.

One of my fellow farmers with a small 1.4 Ghs farm has just gave up and switched to Nicehash to rent out his ETH hash for BTC.

I have gone the route of sitting on cash. I will
Look for good spots to get something cheaper.

I almost purchased a few 1080 ti's for 690 each and six months to pay them off decided to pass.

I have 550 that I have to spend  by August 1 on ebay

This is all the ebucks from buying 1080 tis from April 1 to June 30

I am in the same boat as you, had around 500+ in ebay bucks from GPU purchases back with the 8 and 10% deals they had.. i picked up a used EVGA PSU i needed, now im trying to figure out what else i want to buy with it.. lol

I may buy some silver bars

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-2-10-oz-Sunshine-Mint-Silver-Bar-999-Fine-Sealed/161907052585

Isnt that a rip off, because silver is only around $16/oz currently?

I run a simple batch file in the background of my systems tell i figure out how to inject the GPU commands in the powershell per algo, really dont know much about powershell.. wish i did or i would do it that way...

What i have found is when i GPU freezes up 99% of the time it will recover after a few minutes in my experience and either sit there not mining or go back to mining at OEM settings, so i run the batch file and it kinda wakes it up it seems.. I have seen GPU's freeze up, ill hear the fans ramp up for a few minutes, then settle back down and go back to normal mining..

This is example of the batch i run on my 2 card gaming pc... it pauses for 300 seconds and injects again.. over and over while it is running

The benefit of this simple batch is it keeps the GPU's from ever resetting on you and running balls to wall at 100% tdp and 84+c temps, kinda acts as a safety, after adding this the random resets i was having is a thing of the past

Code:

Monitor the market.... GPUs price should go into correction mode soon (according to a trusted source) ..... I hope to get more 1080ti and 1070, 1060 and AMD mining cards when the price is right.

With the blood bath in crypto in last few days... some have asked me if crypto mining is dead... LOL.... don't listen to FUD, being a newbie compared to many veterans out there.... just after over 2 years plus in this game... as long as crypto-currency and the blockchain is "taking over the world" -- there are always opportunities everyday -- disclaimer - mining is about over half of my group's portfolio, the rest is long & short term trading. Also... pay attention to Warren Buffet's Rule #1... don't lose money!

Also stick close to members like Phil and his threads - he is a gem of a gentleman, he is one of many who have guided me into the crypto journey in the last 2 years. Plenty to learn everyday.

Mine on!

I agree, phillip is an awesome person to pick his brain.. he has pushed me in the right direction from the start.. i may be a stubborn person, but he is always giving out honest true information...

I am going to have to look into these wallet options yall are talking about. I received a letter recently informing me that i reached the limit in my account in BTC received that requires them to report my account tax purposes... which blew my mind.. I think it would be safer for me to leave my main stash in another wallet and just transfer in funds when i want to use them.....

I cannot express this enough...

Please have your BTC in a wallet prior to July 29th where YOU control the private keys.  If you do not have the private keys, you do NOT have the BTC, you are literally loaning it to the them!  Online wallets may be convenient, but you'll be at the mercy of how they choose to handle the potential change that is possibly upcoming.  Be your own bank!

A core wallet is probably the safest place to keep your BTC.  The download link is literally on every page of this forum.
A hardware wallet is either the next best place to keep your funds, or possibly the safest place.  It depends whether they support a chain split and/or hard fork.
A wallet like Electrum or Jaxx is probably the third best place, since the addressees and Tx signing are offline, but they rely on online servers to to the Tx processing.
A fully online wallet like Blockchain.info or an exchange is the last place I'd put my BTC.  You are in control of NOTHING.

Right now i have only like $5 in my coinbase account, for some reason i got a random $5 refund after my transfer of BTC from coinbase to bitconnect, which i invested it all in a loan.. today i got 1.87% payout on my loan

I am going to look into the core wallets after the aug 1st stuff clears up some.. im taking a huge risk because bitconnect stated they will support both sides with exchanges from bcc... but i have my mining rigs currently sending all my BTC payouts to my bitconnect BTC wallet and im immediately loaning it out... i was doing the math on BCC vs BTC, basically it follows the price of BTC so closely that waiting at all to convert the BTC to BCC before loaning it literally no difference no matter what the BTC price is..

I know i am taking a huge risk doing this, but sometimes you gotta take risk when there is lots of money to be made and noone knows whats happening Aug 1st, so im hedging that bitconnect is a safer bet with my mining profits the last 2+ months right now.. once the aug 1st stuff settles im not sure what ill do, but i plan to split my bitconnect and mining separately again. I want to basically push for max investment right now tell aug 1st on it since the daily interest is the highest its ever been right now due to the huge amount of volatility, which is how bitconnect trades off of.. at the rate of daily interest im getting i wouldn't be shocked if i hit something like 25% ROI by august 1st on my lending.. then ill start making steps to remove my initial investment from bitconnect to whichever the stable btc coin comes from all of this ruckus... and let the current loans carry on to ride out this crazy train that may or may not pay out...

Im glad to see a lot of purchase orders happening on btc, pushing the price up some.. was getting worried their for a while, i moved my couple of K of BTC from my coinbase account out and into Bitconnect lending when it spiked up to $2,000. local friend got me interested in bitconnect and because your payouts are in USD, you are not affected by the btc value dropping, you only have to fight that battle when you go to remove the money, because you have to convert it from your internal USD wallet, into BCC and withdraw it then or transfer it again into BTC and then withdraw it.. granted you do pay transaction fees twice getting it out (Which is ingenious on their half).. but it really not a lot of money, just a few bucks.. after seeing what it cost my friend to remove $1000 of his earnings back to coinbase...

Im going to follow what he is doing, he only has 1 mining rig, which is 4 x 1080ti's... he moved his payouts from coinbase to his bitconnect wallet for his mining payouts. He earns between $50-115/day off his bitconnect earnings, which he is doing a 50/50 so far with. Each time his account hits $2000 in earnings, he is re-investing $1010 (for the bonus payout tier), and removing $990 back to his coinbase account to spend with his shift card. He told me he is doing this tell he gets back 100% of his initial investment, then after that he plans to just re-invest 100% of earnings+minings and only remove money to his coinbase account when he needs money to spend.... since all my money i just put into bitconnect is mining income from the few months i have been mining.. i just going to re-invest 100% off the start and ride out the Aug 1st stuff, because bitconnect already mentioned they will be supporting both of the BTC's old legacy and new version once its stable and on main exchanges...

If anyone has interest in it and want to help a fellow board member out, my link is https://bitconnect.co/?ref=Storxusmc
My BTC wallet right now is empty tell i get payouts from mining, but when i do if you sign up under me and do any lending, ill pass $5 worth of btc your way for helping me out on referral, but PLEASE do not risk what you cant loose into this, the payout earnings just seem way to high and after researching into it more i understand more how they can afford to payout that much, but i am still personally concerned. So i ask if your not in need of the money and want to take the risk the past year of payouts has been consistent, but if its money you need to pay your bills please do not risk it. I am personally taking a risk on this because my friend has been doing really well with it and already made back 1/3rd of the money he invested into it. I am not in dire need of the BTC i had already mined, so i am taking the gamble on this over seeing how the Aug1st stuff will go.. as the market is kinda in a giant scare at the moment. I just wish i would have been able to invest my money into this program back when it was around $2500, just my luck i was locked out of coinbase from breaking my phone Sad

Bitfinex has this and I had 1 btc out in loans back in June 2016 they were robbed or they robbed us.
Point is this could happen to you be very careful.

Ya, im scared myself... just taking a huge risk on it.. just the value of the coin is staying solid, its the 12th most valuable coin currently and after watching the live chart of the trader bot they use trading throughout the day i decided to take the gamble.. hell all of this crypto stuff is a gamble.. none of it is set in stone.... heck i didnt think BTC would be back over 2100 tell after Aug 1.... but that has already prooved me wrong
i may loose my ass on this, but ill keep everyone informed as i journey through this

Hi, was trying to run Nemosminer on Windows 7 x64
Continuously getting errors(please see screenshot)
Am i missing something?

try disabling hmq1725 and re run, let me know if its just that algo or not.. what card you running? (in start.bat -Algo remove hmq1725)

When you have this issue, check your task manager for memory.. i was having a lot of errors on my refurbished dell pc rigs with the ccminer has stopped working error.. i found that this was happening because the computer memory was going into a leak phase and consuming 100% of it.. so i increased the virtual memory for the entire size of the hard drive minus like 10gb, this fixed the issue.. mine was hmq1725 and timetravel causing it

You guys are so impatient.   Things happen and you shouldn't expect the pool admin to be instantly available 24/7.  Always should have a backup pool if your main pool is showing problems.

Seems like people get pissed off when they aren't able to summon assistance immediately with a full explanation of what is happening.

exactly. it's summer time, no school, its the weekend and I have a family.

Nothing gets lost, the DB is still recording all work. If it wasn't, your miners won't connect.

I am with Crackfoo on this, not everyone sits at home and monitors servers 24/7.... he can have a life also.. i just was posting to inform of a possible issue, had no immediate  concern about it, figured he would get the notification on his phone or something and get to it when he could..

Im just grateful i can still make profit from these terrible drops in coin values.. i have dropped all my rigs back to 60% tdp to make the mining as efficient as possible tell more of this dust settles and im not worried about loosing my ass on btc...

I really wish i could do something with my coinbase account, i wanted to be in a position to purchase coins as they bottom out.. but i am still locked out of my account 7 days after submitting a ticket... hate that their is no phone number to call...

In regards to purchasing coins, is there other means that are better at getting USD ready to purchase coins outside of coinbase? i signed up for a few sites, but they are limited to like $250 a week.. coinbase is the only one i have up to $2000 limit on

subbed.

Yes, Definitely a wave of new people and the same questions over and over again.... Was quite a ride especially as profitability spiraled downwards.

My main curiosity is:  Are the whales and bigger fish going to pull out of the alt to consolidate or exchange to fiat during the wave the fork will cause?

Or....

Will it be the opposite, seeing alts surge at the last minute right before BTC does its transition?

I'm also wondering what the bubble is going to be like when the waves of mining/deep learning GPU's will hit the market in the next years time....  will it be more of a pop or a growing one?

Well my thoughts are this Nvidia is positioning to be the king of gpu mining.
They have much deeper pockets then AMD.

The 1080 ti is a ZEC killer and at the moment I type  Zec is ranked at 14 for coins
I see a big upside for ZEC
http://coinmarketcap.com/

Ya, i agree that Nvidia may take over on the GPU mining, just hope the market doesnt dry up like the AMD side did....
today was a rare double pay day... maybe triple at the rate of return on coins at the current moment.. Equihash has been super for me today..

How exactly was it a double pay day? my returns are about the same every day  Huh What pool are you using?

I was on zpool, was a really odd day... equihash was showing super high profit... so i turned my cards full blast on that day to get as much as i could, earnings have tapered back off to normal since that day...

I go a different route, i use refurbished dell/hp computers so far that i pick up between $100-150 and use risers to run 4 x 1080ti's off dual server PSU's that cost me $120 for a pair with breakout boards

Has anyone had issues with Coinbase in the past? im really frustrated with them, im locked out of my account because i broke my cell phone that had the google authenticator on, i did the steps to recover my account and got a email saying the process takes between 24-48hrs... that was last Monday...

Nemo, you've included a Cuda8 version of Alexis' miner, but haven't enabled any by default. Have you by any chance checked which algos Alexis performs better on in Cuda 8?

some algos do - some algos dont ...

overall - ccminer-alexis78 public miner performs a little under than the compiled one under cuda75 ...

the reason is because its 'tuned' for cuda75 - not cuda80 ...

#crysx

yeh 7.5 is better in most cases

Here is my latest benchmarks on 2 brand new EVGA SC2 1080ti's i placed into service... 65% tdp 60c +150 +500 Auto

I deleted the three posts with this info.  Quoted them here  this chart has wrong info and quite frankly is not a good reference point for hash rates in more then one spot. Also  no links or reference for how to do the build.

the second line has EBWF  AND IS WRONG

YOU DO NOT EARN 2919.58 BTC PER GH!

If anyone wanted to know how the new ccminer2.1 is doing on the 1080ti... here is a peak... 2 x EVGA SC2 1080ti's 65% TDP

this is to be deleted as it seems to be inaccurate

Can we get a link to build build or source?

Can you interpret the results?  Is it much better and anything?  I don't really keep a record of those things onhand and it would really depend on individual cards and settings so really only you can tell us if its better or not.

I am deleting this as it appears to be inaccurate
