I was curious what payouts you are going with once BTC hardforks?

@Storx: did you get any more granularity on the intervals? Seems strange you were getting best results with 3000 (that's 50 minutes without switching)...

Im sorry bud the test was spoiled by thunderstorm a few days ago, my parents house which has 2 rigs, 2 racks of 4x1080ti's per are down.. still troubleshooting the issue.. seems the motherboard is fried.. really hope that the 8 GPU's are ok...

currently im mining at 10minute intervals, because it seemed switching to often was causing a lost in profit due to switching in the middle of processing data, but going to long was pushing out off the clif of income.....

That's a damn shame, talk about luck. I hope your 1080 ti's are okay!

My condolences also.
Did you use surge protector on your rigs?
I am still unsure if surge protectors are worth it when it comes to thunder hitting nearby electrical grid.
Theoretically, decent PSUs have surge protection, so maybe its just your PSU that is dead?

Ya i had each rig on UPS brand backup power supplies, the UPS is still working on both and when i turn the PSU on manually the GPU's turn the fans.. but the motherboards are not responding at all... im thinking the damage came through the internet cables, because it took out the cable modem as well.

Random hardware question, recently GP0 on 4 different machines has been randomly resetting back to stock OEM gpu settings... its never done this before tell just the past few days.. its not the same pc doing it.. each one has done it randomly during the week.... i keep downclocking the gpu, but it seems to not care, because i left it at +0,+0 OC and Mem today but 70%TDP and 70c temp, got home from being out and the GPU was reset back to stock settings... so confused
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: July 09, 2017, 05:19:00 PM
The payouts are really low.. this is a graph of 10 x 1080ti's... i have 2 rigs (8 x 1080ti) down from last lightning storm, yesterday we had power outage for over an hour so the graph looks off on it also..
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: July 09, 2017, 04:57:37 PM
@ Citronick, What CPU would you recommend for that board? i3, i5?
ram? I'm thinking about getting one too.
Thanks for any info.
Chili

does look cool a 13 card board.

I have to think use  an i5  6400t  but not sure.

Wouldnt you need like an i7? i wouldnt think the i3 and i5 have enough pcie bandwidth... my understandings is each 1x pcie slot reserves 2 channels on pcie controller..... the motherboard may be compatible with the lower cpu's but do they have enough channels to fully use the motherboard fully??

ive read that i3 with 16 channels can only support up to 8 gpu's max

ive read that i5 with 16 channels can only support up to 8 gpu's max

ive read that i7 with 28 channels can only support up to 14 gpu's max

im curious what is going to happen when the BTC upgrades, im under the understanding that a new HARD FORK is being created for it....
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / GPU Tuning: Intensity vs OC/UV vs Difficulty on: July 08, 2017, 02:43:02 AM
I am still in the learning phase of mining, since starting about 7 weeks ago, i have gone from 2 x 1080ti's on my personal pc, to now i mine with 18 x 1080ti's and i have a handful of 1070's on the way...

Most of the software the people mine with, it seems that most adjust intensity on each algo to get it stable with decent hashrates... but i was curious why people dont inject OC/UV settings into the software, so it changes per algo? I am trying to figure out why intensity tuning seems to be the go-to on 99% of mining software out there for gpu tuning?

Prior to me using Nemominer powershell miner, i was using his older batch version and i was able to find code online to inject different GPU settings per GPU prior to each algo starting, which was super stable.. but the main issue i had was the batch file would run and seem to constantly hog memory and crash the miner once the memory was full... since switching over to the powershell version of the miner i lost the ability to inject custom OC/UV settings per algo, but i gained stability in the form of the miner not consuming memory over time like the prior miners did....I asked about how to add this feature to the powershell and i was told to tune my GPU's via intensity instead... but i wanted to understand which is better really, since intensity from my readings seems to favor the CPU more than the GPU.... right?

Also, i found some of the more larger miners talking about changing difficulty settings to get to the larger mining blocks quicker, can someone explain how to properly tune for this? from the few i read this on, none of them have responded to the PM's i sent them asking about it. Basically they mentioned in a post that your miner wastes time everytime it starts ramping up difficulty, so you tune to the difficulty the GPU can handle and you get to the peak profit quicker

Hey guys i just tried to followed the step settings that puwaha mentioned earlier yesterday and left it mining overnight while i slept, it stayed on 1 algo mining, equihash the entire night with no switching, i had 8 algo's turned on to switch with...

I decided to post a video showing some of the issues im having.. i really want to get this figured out so i can use Awesome Miner in the future...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?edit=vd&v=yfpAV-9kimI

Also is there a way to adjust intensity per algo in this software?

Is this video private?

Is it possible to modify the web interface that comes with AwesomeMiner? Would be nice to customize it myself.

I'm willing to merge changes back in if I can get access to the UI for it.
Thanks i changed it from private..

Storx,

Are you passing any custom command line parameters?  When you go to the nvidia Profit Switching profile, and you select the miner software, click on the configure button... there is a section where you specify the custom miner, as it seems you uploaded Alexis78's version of CCMiner... then the section at the bottom you can pass custom parameters to the mining software.  It looks like you are passing the -a Scrypt parameter based on the diagnostics window output.

I have not touched that box yet, because im am unsure what commands are allowed in that box yet... want to learn what i can add to that box once i get it up and running.. If you ever have a moment, maybe i can do a screen share with you over skype or something to try to figure this out..

I am still running the one rig with the windows 10 on usb stick to this date... had no issues but twice i had a random "ccminer has stopped" issue, but its been twice over 2 weeks...

Im in the process of changing over to MPH on all my rigs, just been dealing with family issues, grandfather that i have been spending a lot of time at the hospital over passed Sad ........ so my drive to mess with mining software and gear has been kinda low...

these are the results im seeing on zpool the last 2 days on 18 x 1080ti's.... starting to think my hash is not being accepted correctly or something.. pay has been drastically lower the last week...

371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEMOSMINER multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner on: July 08, 2017, 01:48:13 AM
Nemo,

was curious if there is a simple way to select which GPU's to run? wanted to ask before i go digging through the code, because im still learning this coding stuff... i wanna make a gamer version or gamer start batch so i can using my primary GPU for gaming while i still mine with my other 2 cards on my personal PC when i want to play a video game...

I am getting flakey numbers on this nicehash account

https://new.nicehash.com/miner/16yLHLoeyuCLPMXkVpC3gyrRYvwRGwjKJr

How many cards is that your running? seen the 1080ti labels, rig 1 seems like 2x1080ti's and rig 2 im unsure on.. seems like 2x1080ti +1080?
Just curious, im looking to make a change.. my earnings lately have been terrible on zpool... with 18x 1080ti's i made a whole 0.0189btc in 24hrs of mining....

What have people's experience been with MiningPoolHub (as the profit switching pool)?

If noone says anything, im going over to that pool myself, starting today if i can get this AM stuff worked out.. may just mine 1 single algo on AM on MPH for a while tell i get the profit switching working for me..

Just keep an eye out for the live stream tomorrow on bits be talking, he has 5 Vega's coming tomorrow he said, he plans to do a live test with them on ETH, ZEC, and DUAL MINING

Zpool`s hash rate on Equihash is very low, the program wrong calculate profitability and auto switches to mining on Zpool though there the income is 10 times less appears. Correct please, and that isn't possible to use. My 1070 and 1060 Nvidea have worked 6 hours and have earned on this pool 0.0002 Btc (0.0008 BTC/day). However the program showed approximately 0.025 Btc/day

I've had a similar experience. I don't know if the hashrate was the actual problem but the income was much lower (lower than half) of what it should have been with my hashrate (the estimates seemed OK but they didn't work out, I assume a zpool issue but not sure what the actual problem was)

This is actually something that is really starting to bug me on zpool. I have been using the multi-algo miner by Nemo on zpool with an 60 minute switching interval... the day income is just piss poor compared to the estimates lately... i went through and pulled the estimates of earnings for each period i mined an algo for a 24/hr period on the pool. Then i added up all those hour ong segments together and for my 18 x 1080ti's it said i was going to profit about $137 for the day last Friday... my 24/hr earnings for that day $53.... this is why i am wanting to get AM up and running so i can have better overview of things and be able to switch my rigs over all at once instead of taking the time to change it on each one individually...

So out of being upset at it all... for the last few days i just tossed nicehash miner on my rigs and i pulled off between $69-77 per day while im out of town for the holiday... and typically nicehash is very low on earnings...
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: July 03, 2017, 04:42:16 AM
@puwaha, thank you very much for the steps you did.. im pretty sure im following those exactly like your saying.. but when i get back home from my 4th july travels..what ill do is screen record a video of me setting it up the way your telling me, then ill run it live on the video so you can see what im talking about..

In regards to the external miners, i managed to capture it using the remote miner software to add it to my managed miner list, but i was unsure what to do with it from there.. as the miner was already running and i didnt know how to see the results being reported from it through awesome miner.. to be honest with you, i didnt spend a lot of time on this before having to leave to hit the road, so will play with it more when i get home.. Nemo miner used 4 different miners across all the Nvidia algo's it supports during the multi-switch

Here is a quick picture of one of my 4 x 1080ti rigs...
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Windows mining monitoring tool - v2-BETA [OPEN BETA] on: July 03, 2017, 04:28:46 AM
Would love to use this to monitor my rigs, i currently run NemoMulti-algo miner on all of them, it switches between ccminerAlexis78, ccminerTpruvot, ccminerKlaust, and EWBF
I just receive my GTX 1080 for my desktop.
I'll now be able to run nvidia miner (I was full AMD before) and integrate them easier Smiley
PM me with informations about what you mine and miner version, I'll check that

Ill post one of my rigs for you to see... all rigs are Nvidia 4x1080ti's @ 70% TDP.. so same miners on same algo's

Quote
its 4 x Asus Turbo 1080ti's
Neoscrypt there is a bad speed. 1х1080ti = 1.6Mh/s Ccminer-2.1-tribus -i 22 1870 GPU / 5500 mem
For 1080ti it is better:
Neoscrypt -  Ccminer-2.1-tribus -i 22  best speed for 1080ti
MyriadGroesti - CCminerKlaust -i 25 1-2mh/s  speed is better than CCminerAlexis78

Can you link to the CCminer 2.1 Tribus, im not seeing it in a quick google search except many people just talking about it on Demaritus algo

One of the nice features about Nemo's miner, not sure if he intended it this way or just how Aaron built it... not sure how much came from Aaron and how much came from Nemo... but when you benchmark multiple miners on the same algo, it will auto-select the best even if you leave the algo on for lets say 2 different miners.. or atleast that is how its functioning.. so what i did was add Alexis on all the miner algo's that Tpruvot and Klaust had on, it ran benchmarking on all of them and either finished or failed the benchmark.. then selected the best miner based on the stats folder..
