Have any of yall found any 4+ GPU motherboard/cpu/hd/ram combos for under $180? trying to keep to 4 GPU's more than likely, because the server 1200 watt PSU's i bought are actually only 900watt rated on 120v Sad

check out Biostar Racing GT7 and the new Z270 motherboards from Asus and MSI

in fact plenty of choices 180$ and below

Ill check into that motherboard, the cheapest ive come up with is this... https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RLKd2R @$194

Well some bad news.

The 4th PCI-E slot on the board appears to have failed during benchmarking on Nicehash (I walked off & it had rebooted when I came back).

Any card plugged into that slot is no longer recognized.

Looks like this will be a 3-card machine!

I had this happen to me on my first 4 card machine (NON-t5500 build), it was the power to the riser was to low.. the channel all the risers were plugged into on the psu was maxed out dropping to low when everything powered up..... i commented about it on this forum site and bits be talking told me you can only power 2 risers max per sata power cable, anything more than that is a 50/50 chance.... so i moved 2 per cable and they all 4 were recognized.. it all came down to lack of power at the riser..

How are those Zotac 1080 Ti Minis doing on Zcash/Skein?
Over at my place, they are about 14% cheaper. I am really considering them over Amp Extreme editions.

I dont own any, but someone on another forum post stated that the zotec 1080ti mini is a awesome card on the non-memory intensive algo's.... like skein, but something like eth it is on par with the numbers of a 1070 overclocked...

if those vega prices are correct...  i can tell you would wont be getting one! this guy wont be!!
1200$ for a gpu pfft

WTF!!, why are they wanting $1198 for the Vega.......
I went ahead and ordered 2 more of the Asus Turbo 1080ti's today.... just gotta shop for mobo and cpu for it now... lol have more cards coming then i have computers to put them on Sad

FYI, dont make the same mistake as me.. dont use older gen XEON processors with mining, my my E5506 cpu in my latest mining rig is consuming 73 watts while running the mining software

Has anyone tried the beta that smos put out yet? Am flashing drive now to give it a shot, just wondering if anyone else has tried it yet. Will let ya know how it goes for me.  Wink

I looked into using this today, but after downloading it... it seems you can not change the GPU settings, so your forced to use stock settings for the time being in the software.. overclocking is disabled...

Question for you, trying to gauge if i got a bad t5500, i booted it up ran it through the paces of updating everything... but god this computer has a painfully slow lag between the time i try to do something to the moment it computes it on the screen... simple things like pressing start menu and trying to type windows update to search for it has like a 3-10 second delay... ive never had a xeon pc or dell pc like this so im not sure what to expect...just seems very lagging and slow.. when i check task manager its always at 99% cpu it seems...

A few of the refurbs I've built up were super slow for a while until they finished updating -- high CPU & Hard Disk usage while it did that.

hmm ok, well ive had it running for about 14hrs now letting it update or do its thing while i assemble a rig... the speed has not changed, i hope it gets better...

What settings are you running on each cards respectfully?
I have both of those O_o

currently im running the 2 asus cards on 70/70/+292/-502/75M and the 2 gigabyte cards on 68/70/+197/-502/75M.... currently have them mining skein... since my other rigs managed nearly 13/day/per card today on zpool... im up to 12 gtx1080ti's now

Seriously what is going on with the earnings?  I've been mining full out and for what appears to be over an hour my graph is completely flat

I'm using zpools multialgo method and it seems like it switched me a few times during that period between Lyra2v2, hmq1725, Equihash, Blake2s, and Bitcore.  Yet there looks to be almost no earnings gained from any of it.  Is there something we don't understand about how earnings are calculated or something?

Is it possible to get some way to get a quantifiable average earnings for the last X period or something besides the totally non-descript balance graph?

mine has been completely flat also, but my total earnings has been increasing.. i think the reporting side of the server is having issues...

Phil , could you sum up about prices :
what are the best prices you ever paid for new 1070 , 1080 and 1080TI ?

Thanks a lot

The best I've found...

1070 - $319
1080 - $419
1080ti - $639

Depending on where you live you'll have sales tax on those as well.

Due to demand it's pretty much impossible to hit those prices right now though Sad

I purchased a 1080ti today for 570 new with full warranty.

all time best price ever Grin

I will show how.. I am just about capped on my account I am at 470 bucks earned for this cycle  max is 30.
but if you don't have a lot of ebucks for the cycle   you will get 70 off this card

Have you tried out those asus 1080 ti yet? I have been wondering last couple of weeks why only this model is so cheap...

well i received my 2 yesterday along with 2 more gigabyte cards i scored a deal on and they are the weakest so far on the hashrates even with overclocking, the most i could get out of them is 1674Mh/s on skein, 12.4G/s on Blake, and 1120sols/s on zec so far.. they seem to be holding temps pretty well.. but do have a lot of room for overclock compared to my other cards.. just comparisons, my pair of gigabytes output 1775MH/s on skein, 13.2G/s on blake, and 1222sols/s on zec... im still messing with as i just got them up and running today and only spent an hour playign with settings im sure i can adjust more to get out of them, but that was hashrates on crude settings up tell freezing/locking up conditions..i will say this tho.. they seem to run about 4-5c colder than the gigabyte cards....

Question, the 875 said it comes with 2 x 8 pins and 2 x 6 pins, is this true?

yes but no ;-)

as I stated before the 8 pins are not PEG connectors, there motherboard cpu connectors.
One is used by the motherboard. The other can be used with an adapter.

Sorry i meant to say is the 2 x 8pins "Free" to be used, since mine doesnt have the same PSU, i didnt have one in front of me to know.. thinking of ordering another as i have 4 more GPU's coming......but you just answered what i was asking.. i forgot to add the free word to the statement... so now i kow if i get the 875w unit i will only have 1 8pin and 2 6pins... gonna just order another psu to run the GPU's tell i get adapters and connectors in... shipping from china is painfully slow when you have GPU's sitting on your workbench waiting to make money...

Random question: do you register all your GPU's online when you buy them for the warranty? ive never had to RMA a GPU to know how strict they are..
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Fourth alt coin thread last three got oversized. on: June 14, 2017, 09:48:19 PM
dang i didnt get that email for the 10% or i would take up on that purchase, my 2 @ 8% were cancelled the other day, because i ordered some on ebay and on newegg.com and because they were coming from the same company they cancelled my order on ebay out.. which kinda sucked..

Seems Blake2s is having issues again with reported hashrates.

Miner displays correct speeds and share submitted but site shows 10% and is effectively reducing percentage of block rewards mined.

Anyone else running into the issue?

I've been only running on this pool for a couple of days and notice that my earnings are fairly significantly lower than I expected them to be.  I've had a few outages and non-optimal things running, but still only getting .0127BTC from 7-GTX1080's and 1 GTX1080Ti it seems pretty low to me.  I expected closer to .02 at least.

With mining some of these super low volume coins on tiny exchanges I'm not sure how the payout actually works.  The estimates coming out of Multipoolminer seem like they are way off compared to what I'm actually seeing realized on the pool.  Nicehash miner is paying out pretty much the same with just my 5-1080 mining rig.

I'm not ready to throw the towel in yet considering I'm still tweaking, but something definitely feels off from where I expect it to be.  Might just go back to mining up DGB for a while, but was hoping to get some pure BTC instead of having to dump on the DGB market.

I feel ya, the other day i had 8 GTX1080ti's mining zpool and the total earnings to my wallet only increased $12ish for the entire day of mining on zpool.... most days it brings in nice numbers in earnings.. but it seems like 1 or 2 days a week my earnings drop like to 1/4 or 1/2 of the earnings with shares still being accepted on all rigs.. hope its fixed soon

Someone previously mentioned it could be the rigs themselves messing up.. so to correct this "possible" issue i have implemented daily restarts every 24hrs via windows task managing and set the batch file to run on startup so it resumes mining..
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NemosMiner-v1.7.5 multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner for MPH & ZPOOL on: June 14, 2017, 07:55:13 PM
Question, how exactly does the nemo miner look at the pools to pull which one is profitable, i guess what im asking is which portion of the file/miner is this coming from.. just trying to understand things more.. i know it pulls the data from the pool api, just dont understand how it does this..

the pool selects algo not the miner... the miner just connects and mines until the pool decides theres something more profitable to switch to....

ok, so how does the pass profitability numbers become communicated with the pool to determine which one is most profitable.... that is the part im curious about.. does it like send the entire list to them and the pool does the selection on their end?

The reason im asking is because im curious if there is a way to combine the MPH and Zpool miners together, so it selects the most profitable from the 2 pools combined... ive been playing with awesome miner and this feature is available in that miner, with it comparing profits of coins on multiple pools and switches pools if the algo is within the list available to compare it to on whattomine.... only sucky part is most of the profitable coins i been mining lately with your miner is not listed on whattomine, so they are not available for profit switching on that miner, thus id like to add this feature to yours if it is possible.. yours is my default miner right now..
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NemosMiner-v1.7.5 multi algo profit switching NVIDIA miner for MPH & ZPOOL on: June 14, 2017, 07:48:33 PM
I started running two .bat files on the same rig this morning. So far it seems to be working fine.

I have a Zpool.bat file running on my 1st 1080 Ti and a MPH.bat file running on my 2nd 1080 Ti.

I'm trying this out so that I can compare the returns between Zpool and MPH. I'll report the results in a day or two.

wait at least a week then start giving us results.. once a week totals.. im interested to.....

#Nemo

I actually ran both on same computer zpool on gpu0 and MHP on gpu1 for 5 days, it was kinda a wash in the end, because when the coins that BOTH pools have available to be mined were most profitable MHP netted more earnings at the end of the day, but the periods when coins like blake2s was most profitable the zpool would pull ahead by a large margin and catch back up.. so each day it swung back and forth between the 2 pools, but after 5 days the earning totals were within $3.00 of each other...

Basically if the profitable coin is available on zpool and not on MPH zpool is way more profitable, if not MPH is the ruler with all mined coins equal..

If anyone was wanting to know about the Ryzen 7 1700, i ran it all night on nicehash while gpu mining.. it mines between 338-341h/s, i dont think that nicehash is optimized to use all the core and threads.. im only see load on the first 4
