21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING DISORDER on: January 17, 2024, 09:57:48 PM
The OP should think of other activities that he think can motivate him to alter his lifestyle.
It is not too late to change, now that he recognized he has a gambling disorder.
When you are about to place another bet after a loss, think of something you believe will be in jeopardy like -
 - bills to pay, food for the table, kids/spouse relying on you and other important facets in your life.
This is not the way to resolve your situation. There are better ways to look at your life and be worthwhile to your loved ones.
22  Economy / Economics / Re: Useful side hustles to sponsor a BTC investment dream. on: January 17, 2024, 09:01:45 PM
The best one we have here is signature campaigns, someone who could find work here for a few years and put it all on bitcoin could make a lot of money, life changing amount of money, you could make like 300 dollars a month from it, meaning it is a lot of money in the end.

You could also go with bounties and airdrops and all that, not all makes money, in fact majority of them loses money, but if you could make just a few hundred a year from it, it is still a good thing, some make even thousands a year from it, because they join hundreds of them, all they can. Then you have crypto jobs, which are jobs only related to crypto world, like having some call channel, or being a mod on telegram, or anything like that, you can get paid for that too.

If not, one can also exhaust his skills such as trading, programming, writing, art and others. Look at the services section on this forum.
Because if you will find alternative options to earn something, you can find one. Just don't be too choosy.
With regard to bounties or airdrops, most of the time they are just wasting your time for nothing.
So better find a worthwhile activity that can really give you something in return, and not just waiting in vain hoping that they will pay you up.
There are also sites like https://www.cryptojobs.com/, that you can basically search what you think is applicable to your skills and apply for it.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: What would be your stance if Bitcoin price was individually negotiable as a P2P on: January 15, 2024, 11:54:11 PM
would there still be periods of time for regrets with the regrettable emotional saying "HAD I KNOW" due to your traded value after learning about Bitcoins suddenly value increments?
Yes we will always feel that regret no doubt about that. But as long as we are satisfied with our decision it is easy to accept the fact that it has happened and we need to moveon. That is why we improvise just because of that feeling.

Do take note that even if it is already publicly traded in the market, we still feel regret for selling our satoshis.
So for me, there's no difference if you are using an exclusive p2p trading.
Because for aure, before you execute the order, you will also check the current price rate of this currency. It may deviate from the general price  but you have considerations of time and price rate at the time of trade.
24  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy Bitcoin is around the time of Bitcoin Halving: April 22, 2024 on: January 15, 2024, 11:35:16 PM
There are a lot of people who are reluctant in investing because they seem to be thinking about the price and the total coin they will be accumulating if they start buying now they can do DCA method and accumulate more just in time for halving

Very recommended if there are people out there who are not ready for one big buy but wants to get as much bitcoin as they can

If you will really look at the price level per btc, you will get disappointed because of its high price and very few can actually afford such expensive purchase.
Also, don't compare yourself to others. You have your own financial capability in this market. You will get depressed seeing those high figures and feel self-pity for yourself.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Xmr mixed with Btc, good idea? on: January 15, 2024, 11:06:11 PM
Let me make this clear for you that no created coin that exists that is better than bitcoin. If you want privacy, you can go for monero. But you should know that there are other ways that you can go for like using coinjoin, mixers and swapping

BTC is indeed the top priority when it comes to crypto investment.
Alts have been created, abandoned and forgotten but btc still remains to be on top position.
As proven by more than a decade of existence in the market, we can't deny the fact that this is the main actor among cryptocurrencies.
This is also the reason why people are being interested on this market, its high volatility creates a sustained interest among crypto investors.
26  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin ETF have any impact on the bitcoin price? on: January 15, 2024, 10:00:45 PM
We can see the price crashing since its release.

Bitcoin has a very long history of very big volatility and everybody who gets scared by that has - sooner or later - very bad days if he goes for investing/holding (pretty much ending with a panic sale).
My advice is always look at the big picture and use your brain.

And about the question in your topic title, my take is: yes, but you may need some time, maybe even weeks or more, to see that happen. And yes, because halving is also near, this may become somewhat fuzzy.

Just think about it, fake news about approval btc ETF already gave a sudden surge in its price.
What more if there will be a lot of crypto ETFs' approval? That would give a very good hype in this market.
For sure, a lot will jump on the bandwagon, even noncrypto users will dip their hands on this.
And as the halving is near again, it would surely further contribute to its price growth.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 15, 2024, 09:05:53 PM
Is that in USD$? if I am in that situation, I don't know how to forgive myself. That's already a lot of money when I was still able to withdraw and then I didn't stopped myself and kept on gambling. I'll call myself an idiot for not securing the winnings. But let's get back to reality, if luckily I was able to reach that amount and I can withdraw that, no doubt that I'll be cashing that out. It's already money and I'll leave some so that I can have fun again without having the worry that the bigger amount might still lose. We need to be wise with our decisions, it should be our minds that we must use in situations like this or whenever you have won the big pot but you're still thinking whether not to cash out and just continue with all of it.

I guess, I will be cashing it out already. As I experienced before, I am not that person that will go all in no matter what.
If I have the chance to get it, why not? That's clear money already. And if you proceed, there's a chance that you will lose it all.
But it is understandable if some people will push thru their luck. That one is a big money if in case you got lucky.
If the OP is talking about USD here, would be cashing it out as much as I can. Won't wait for the next bet to finish.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasoning before investing can save you from lose on: January 14, 2024, 11:01:27 AM
Yeah, reasoning before you invest in any project is very important it's almost the same thing as doing your own research before you invest.

If you don't think of what you're going into then you will probably regret every of you actions. So it a very valid advise just know what your doing in the crypto space and only do with what you are comfortable without, which is practically invest what you can afford to lose. Because most times this scam projects go a wide range to make this scam look convincing.

In any investment, small or big, one should always do his homework so as not to compromised your hard-earned money.
Everyone wants to have profits, right? So it is your responsibility to educate yourself about your investments.
Without prior study of your investments, the likelihood to lose your money is quite high.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: January 14, 2024, 10:39:14 AM
People tend to buy into altcoins because they feel like they missed the boat with bitcoin and trying to get rich quick on someone these other coins.  It's really greed that drives the altcoin market.  Take a look at these memcoins, they should be worth nothing because they are literally empty projects but they stay around because people are trying to hit a pump and dump on the next person.
People pick interest on altcoins just to make quick profit which they are aware of the risk that is involve in investing altcoins.  It is only greed that will make one to prefer to invest altcoins than Bitcoin. Altcoins are highly risky than Bitcoin and people feel that bitcoin is too expensive to invest, the opportunity of investing in bitcoin is always open, and some people prefer altcoins to bitcoin because they feel getting profit in bitcoin takes time.

Well, BTC was just like altcoins a long time ago, high risk high reward. Now it's evolved, become big, and moving not that fast. People want the same with altcoins. But most of them can't provide that.

The idea of getting rich quick is the main reason why people are always interested on this part of crypto.
As some can get good profits at a short period of time, they are thinking that they can get the same with others, but that's not the case.
Most alts are crap and so the lifespan is very short and if you hold too long, you will find out that you are already holding bag of worthless coins.
I've had my fair share in investing in alts way before, when ICOs were such a thing, but didn't get back even my original investments, not even making it to the trading market.
30  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sports betting arbitrage on: January 14, 2024, 10:07:23 AM
From what I can recall on my gambling sessions, I don't remember ever doing that thing because I've sort of had this scary feeling in me that if I ever do this and slip up that I might have my account banned which isn't a fun thing to do because I'll have to be hassled again with the registration. I do know some people that does this and I can't be bothered to learn how to do it safely, seems like a really good way to make money but I'm already risking my money with gambling, might as well take it slowly with the gambling and just do it the old fashioned way which is losing a lot of money and getting frustrated  Cheesy  Cheesy.

That's understandable because you will never know what the bookie will do to your account once you hit big time.
Better be cautious on this type of strategy, because you may use the same provider and you have kyc in their respective sites.
It may be not too hard if the money involved is only small but if you are talking about significant amount, better be careful about it.
31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I learnt from a crackhead about gambling on: January 14, 2024, 09:47:08 AM
agree with you. drugs are very dangerous and almost impossible to cure quickly even though you have been to a psychiatrist many times. in contrast to gambling addiction, maybe once or twice he has fully realized
actually People aren't addicted with gambling but with money. Gambling is a process to earn money and so some people do gambling aggressively which is called "addicted in gambling" but after a certain time, they can change the way of earning source by shifting from gambling to job!/business, whenever they get realized they are losing huge in gambling. But in durgs addiction case, it totally hampers brain. This is called Substance use disorder (SUD) which is a complex condition what makes functional changes to brain circuits, and destroyed the control from ourselves. So coming out from this situation, is very hard. So gambling addiction can be considered nothing when anyone comparing it with drug addiction IMHO

Drug addiction indeed has very bad effect in terms of health, especially someone can get brain damage from it.
Though, gambling addiction has its own worst impact on people, once the person changed his lifestyle, he can still go back to his old self.
But when you talk about drugs, even if they did change, once it already affected its brain because of too much use, hard to get back to his self again.
32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be worried or comfortable seeing your elderly mother gambling? on: January 14, 2024, 09:19:46 AM
It's fine for me if my mother will only gamble in online casino. There's a privacy and she don't have to go outside for her own safety. As long as she's playing in moderation then I will allow her to play. We know elder people are also looking for hobby to entertain themselves. So it's understandable for me if she is looking for activity to spend her time. Therefore if that's her way to enjoy then it's fine.

However, i'm against if she will play in a physical casino. Because it's a different place and it can also pressure her to spend more since others are doing so. Moreover it's not good for her health.

For me, it is fine with physical casino, so long she is in control with herself and just enjoying the time spending her spare money.
Sometimes it is the socialization she wants in the place, someone to talk to or just observe people passing by, and make some small bets.
The elderly usually wants someone to talk to and enjoy the day. Worry if she starts borrowing money from her colleagues.
But if she's only there to pass time and have some fun, let her be. You can't pay the price of her just enjoying the day.
33  Economy / Gambling / Re: JustCasino.io | Get the Best Crypto Casino Experience on: January 14, 2024, 08:52:38 AM
Hi JustCasino.io, welcome to the forum!

I just took a quick tour of the JustCasino.io casino and I'm gonna say, I'm impressed by its well-crafted design, particularly the unique and attractive UI. I find it interesting since there are plenty of games to choose from, making it easy to enjoy the experience here.

By the way, I have a question: Similar to other casinos in the forum, do you have plans to integrate sports betting into your platform in the near future?

Their UI is quite great I can agree but one should always take note to read their terms before anything else.
Have you read their terms? Seems that a lot are hesitant with the content of their terms especially the country restrictions, need to be careful on this.

I almost missed it, I gave up my intention to make an inj deposit for my personal safety, it's very rare for me to find many prohibited countries that are not allowed to play at Justcasino, luckily I read it first, almost lost my funds if I made a deposit, Will there be any changes implemented, I will see the progress
Who's gonna interested to gamble under pressure? Cheesy

Even you can gamble using VPN or something like that, there was been mentioned withdrawal and refund might not be successful.

IIRC there was a casino has kind of strict rules too and they ended up no one is interested to gamble on there. This casino should try to overcome forbid so many countries except their goals are only serve to specific regions like local casino.

This I believe will be their bottleneck in getting players from the forum.
I guess, the justcasino team should clarify some terms here so players have the courage to deposit and try their site.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you can benefit from investing in Bitcoin on: January 13, 2024, 11:59:20 PM
One thing that I find important that the OP may be forgetting is the opportunity to make a profit on the investment.

I know the benefits can be understood in other ways, but frankly speaking, the journey to know bitcoin has brought me quite a lot of technological and economic knowledge. And there is no obvious place to freely share these things other than in the crypto space.

(2) -  I see that perhaps many people come to bitcoin and stay with it for a long time because of that.

Knowing this technology will open doors of opportunity for you to find alternative sources of income online.
Whether you are a programmer, an influencer, a writer or any skills you have that can cater this industry.
As we are in the digital age, we have so much things to do now using the internet at the comfort of your home.
This I believe, surpasses the reason of existence of btc, not only holding this currency, but all the other related-activities involved with this market.
And a lot of people are benefiting from it, coming together from all walks of life, without racism or any boundaries involved.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tips for fast investment growth on: January 13, 2024, 11:41:35 PM
The criteria you're describing is so broad that it's no different than saying "just buy cheap coins". There might be some low-float coins that have room to grow, but there are TONS of low-float coins that will just end up in the shitter.

Buying low-float coins doesn't guarantee any profit. What of if the team behind the low-float coins are in the crypto space to scam people. Investing in crypto is more that buying coin with low market value only without any research. One needs research on the team, community and the partner involved before thinking of investing in any project.

The reality is most of these alts are just to pocket money from naive buyers.
What the OP described is the characteristics of most crap coins. So yes, don't buy cheap coins, because they will only ruin your funds.
Such tip is vague and should be taken on a different degree of scrutinization. Because it is your money at stake and not theirs.
Remember, most of these alts have been down the drain for so long already, only few made it to survive in the trading market, and a lot are just barely hanging.
36  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ETF Approval; Price dumps, what Next? on: January 13, 2024, 11:21:30 PM
This is a very good example of what expectations can do to you. It is a message to those who have tied their head around a mandatory bull run when the halving occurs. Like I’ve said, just invest in Bitcoin if you really want to, leave your funds and the bull run will come. Creating expectations with timeframes can be really disappointing because Bitcoin isn’t following our minds or wishes, it’s moving at its own pace. Tomorrow could be a dump, it could be a pump too.

The ETF approval was never such an event where you would have experienced of pump after the news has been announced. Rather the price has been on the upper trends during the last two to three months and it was in the anticipation of the ETF approval and that is how the market works. The market we see pumps before the actual event happened and this is not the first time we had experiencing this behaviour.

Of course, such event is a very positive one in this market. It creates good vibes and so it can be reflected on the market itself.
Been years in the making, this ETF is quite a magnet to a lot of crypto spectators and investors.
As the adoption is growing and so is the demand of this currency. Consider its fixed supply and you will understand such positive feeling of these people.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing Bitcoin price history is important on: January 13, 2024, 10:05:56 PM
Checking charts can be useful, but understanding what caused significant market shifts in the past and calculating how much influence such events have now and in the coming years is also very important.
It is also critical to try to think about what those moves imply, since it is very easy to check the charts and see all the movements that bitcoin made in a matter of seconds, however those movements took months and sometimes a full year to materialize, and living through such movement is a completely different experience than to just look at it on a chart, and anyone that is trying to familiarize themselves with this market needs to remember that soon enough they will have to go through the same experiences, and if they do not go through this process they can be caught with their guard down.

That is true, you can easily see the movement but the reasoning of such ups and downs, that is for you to find out.
Because those roller coaster movement have their reasoning behind. And much better if you understand them so you know
its influence in the market and make some smart decisions when you need to buy more for your stash.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You'll be a discipline gambler in sports if you have a real bankroll. on: January 13, 2024, 09:09:11 PM
So the question is, can you manage with $50 as your total monthly bankroll, or would you rather increase it and risk losing money that is not meant for such purposes?
As a responsible gambler managing $50 as bankroll for the month is hard but with self-discipline it can be achieved. What I would do is simply to reorganize my strategy. By this, instead of 3 times a week, I would gamble 1 per week.

If I have to increase my bank roll, then I would be very dangerous and stupid risk. Above that, it is money that  I cannot afford to lose and if I lose it, I would not forgive myself. I would only increase my bankroll if my income increases and even at that, I would not increase it immediately. It may take months before I do so.

Knowing how much you can spend on your gambling, will give you the boundaries that you can only play only with such amount.
And if you will stick to it, you know very well that your gambling time is very limited as that amount is not that much.
If you happen to use some of the other funds, you should know possible repercussions and you should be aware of what's going on then.
You are risking the money that you can't afford. So are you willing to suffer such consequences and find a way how to rectify your financial situation?
39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where have all the low volatility slots gone??? on: January 12, 2024, 11:50:45 PM
I also appreciate the allure of more frequent wins, even if they come with a lower ceiling, a steadier pace that I enjoy when playing slots. I agree with what was said about how the higher the RTP, the lower the volatility. I also prefer that because it allows for longer gameplay, and there's more entertainment and excitement in playing. As a new player back then, I was less concerned about volatility, and I didn't know about RTP before I started playing. I lacked awareness because I was more focused on graphics or animation. So, in terms of low volatility, I think each provider has games like that nowadays; it just depends on the specific game.

Once the gambler becomes aware on this feature, they can easily get the info of this in each provider.
Because most casinos these days are already providing such information to their players.
But I think, most gamblers don't really look into this info, RTP and other details attached to each provider.
At first, they will be after for the aesthetic features of the game and later on, they will dig deeper about the game.
40  Other / Archival / Re: Suppose you own a Bitcoin now. So what to do? on: January 12, 2024, 10:59:36 PM
One bitcoin to our currency is actually huge though but can't fetch you everything needed all in life but you can achieve a lot from it, on the norm if I have one bitcoin what to is to hold maybe I was given to spend it then I will have no option that to buy a rented apartment where I can have tenant rents them to live inside then will be taking monthly and yearly rent from them to further expand my investment portfolio. I can't go buy a house that won't generates additional income for me while living inside or going to buy a moto bike that won't give any profit than spending to service them.

If not an apartment, but a business that I think which can earn good income.
Because buying a house or a car/bike, won't give you income on a regular basis.
So you need to be smart on this, otherwise, such amount will just disappear without making the most out of it.
Money is fast when you really spend it. Find something that will give you passive income so you won't be agitated with your financial needs.
