1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects come out when bull market begin. on: March 23, 2023, 09:08:43 PM
Because during bullrun many investors are active to invest and join the ride of increasing price. Often, newbies who don't have idea of what they're getting into are the ones falling to invest in new projects thinking it's a wise decision, not knowing the risk.

But a good project doesn't mind to come out regardless of the market situation because they can survive if their project is solid and has a real use case. It's just that, during bearish season it is quite risky to launch a project since the market is struggling and many investors are afraid to invest.
That's mainly because they do not know what to buy and listen to fools. I mean if you have 700k followers on twitter, a newbie sees that and thinks that you are a famous person, and they look at the replies and there are so many people who ends up getting a ton of good feedback as well, like people loving that influencer and thanking him and all that.

This in return that newbie starts to think if he starts following that influencer and buy what he suggests, he will make a lot of return as well but that's not the truth. The reality is that the influencers promotes whoever pays him, and then the project could turn out to be nothing at all and go down a lot.

That's the sad truth, influencers are getting paid and they don't care what they are endorsing so long they have money.
Ask them the fundamentals and for sure they don't know what to answer about this aspect.
People should do their homework and assess the project itself, no one will do the work for them.
Most of the alts are only here for short-term. Once their pockets are full, they will abandon their projects.
1022  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can old trading strategies work again? on: March 22, 2023, 09:58:07 PM
Thinking about how trading strategies need to always be changed and how one strategy may not work for a long time, what do you do with the strategy that you are about to change. do you just forget about it completely once a new strategy starts working for you? or do you keep it in remembrance for the future. If you have experienced this before; has any old trading strategy that you decided to apply work for you? Is it possible that old strategies may work in the future again?
Old or new, it doesnt really count at all because anything could really be that relevant in terms of market conditions.I dont know on why someone could be able to determine those old strategies and new ones that you had made out considering that it is really just that the same. Its up to yours whether you would be making use of it on particular scenario or would make an another one.

It doesnt really that much in concern though on what strategies you would be using because what matter most is on how to make it that effective on such market condition.
We cant even assure that even newly created one would be that effective or does work.

It depends on the coin or token you are trading with as old or new strategies can work depending on what is happening with the project.
This question is very subjective as each project has their own progress of developments as well as features they are selling to the community.
So you need to know and be familiar with the project itself to know what particular strategy you need to apply.
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many BTC needed for retirement in 10 years? on: March 22, 2023, 09:27:20 PM
There's no concrete answer to this, because well, bitcoin's price changes over time and there's no way of telling whether it would rise up in value in the future or it will plummet to its death. But the latter is a little unbelievable if I do say so myself. In my opinion, instead of wracking your brains trying to collect as much bitcoins for your retirement when there's no assuring whether bitcoin would still even be relevant by the time you officially retire, you might wanna look into other retirement plans, a 401k looks nice nowadays and is something my friends and I will always recommend since it always ensures that you have pocket money for when you can't work anymore!

Yes, he can look at other investment options not only with BTC or ETH.
Much better if you have tangible assets such as real-estate, precious gems, and others that you have physical ownership.
Or just like you said, invest in a 401k retirement plan or whatever is equivalent in your country.
You can never be sure with crypto market, so with your tangible assets, at least you have a fallback if anything goes wrong with this market.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking advice needed on: March 21, 2023, 09:54:19 PM
If you really want to make a long-term investment, there's no need to do any research. You only need to hold Bitcoin, that's the best advice. Don't store in a wallet that you can't fully control like in a centralized Exchange, because you don't own the keys and when they go bankrupt like FTX, then your assets will disappear. Use a secure personal wallet.
There's no doubt that when you hold Bitcoin, everyone will suggest the same thing.

This is understandable to suggest bitcoin instead of other alts, as it is difficult to trust your hard-earned money to alts with no assurance of future.
At least with btc, being the top crypto, you know it won't disappear anytime soon. Alts come and go, but btc still remain at the top.
The popularity is also the reason why it won't go down easy. If you know even the ordinary people, they know the existence of btc but if you mention other alts, they don't know anymore.
1025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Given an option between Bitcoin and Fiat which do you prefer? on: March 21, 2023, 09:36:32 PM
I hold the two for different reasons and purposes. I use bitcoin for investment purposes not for making any daily transaction related. But for fiat, I hold that for my daily transaction which is for my basic need. I will love to hold the two even if bitcoin is accepted as a legal tender in my country.

Let us accept the fact that right now, most governments won't accept btc as legal tender as they have their own fiat.
They may create their own CBDC to cope up with the digitalization of currency.
I can say, I am just grateful to know the bitcoin world but the truth is we still need fiat in our everyday living.
The volatility factor is one of the features of btc, which is good for investment, whereas, fiat is still the mainstream currency to do all our daily transactions.
1026  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will you advice a new trader to join a trading community or group? on: March 20, 2023, 08:12:31 PM
I have a strange impression about trading community groups, such groups are just a show off of wealth rather than discussing strategies and trading plans. Thinking about things like this makes me tend to ignore trading groups or communities, of course this is never fun especially when you really expect a lot of knowledge to be shared.

After all, a trading community or group that is not well-moderated by the owner is just a bad alarm for emotional management failure. Someone may be influenced by other people's decisions and they have to accept losses because of wrong decisions.

Most of the time, you will read successful stories but they won't share their failures and reasons why such failures.
Maybe for the sake of getting insights, you can join them as long as it is free.
But if they will start asking for a fee, then, better get out. You can earn your skill or knowledge on your own.
You can actually discover a lot of tricks if you will do your own trading. Just start small and be patient with your journey.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 20, 2023, 06:13:05 PM

I just watched 2 videos stating the reasons why Davis can beat Garcia and vice versa. Will just share it here.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruzT-Cp-9PY - Why Davis will beat Garcia
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17j5CEMSq5A - Why Garcia will beat Davis

I mean before I watched the video, like what others are thinking here, I'm also leaning to the fact that Davis will win on this one because of how good he is in the ring. Add also the fact that he's been with Mayweather for a decade so they are kind of the same. Now that I watched both, I find myself on a state where I'm thinking again who will win on this one.

It's hard to pick especially both of them are rising stars. Many are waiting for this match to happen. Since we will not see Beterbiev vs. Bivol this year (probably), this will be a candidate for the fight of the year. So excited as well for this fight.
Both videos have a good analysis of how both fighters measure up to their past opponents and their advantages in their previous wins but I always believe in what Mike Tyson says about plans and advantages in actual fights, and that is
Quote
You have a plan until you get hit in the face.
everybody boxer has a plan on how to beat his opponent, but everything changes when you get hit in the face.
What I'm sure of is both fighters will bait each other to land his best punch so he can give his best shot, it is about landing the best shot I don't think anyone of them is training to last the 12 rounds, they are training to get their best shot at the right spot.

I believe on what Mike Tyson said, as he was stating such fact based on his experience.
True, every camp has their planned strategies but once inside the ring, most of those plans also go outside the ring.
As for this fight, the bookies are looking at Davis winning by KO/TKO over Garcia.
This will be a good challenge for both boxers, as they want to get ahead of their boxing careers.
Both have still long years to be in this sports given their age right now, so we may possibly see an explosive fight here, hoping that both won't follow the techniques of Mayweather.
1028  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitnity.com - a community-driven gambling platform on: March 20, 2023, 05:03:17 PM
So what's the next tactic of advertising and luring in community? Discord chat is pretty much dead and unmoderated as there are only spam ads since friday. Twitter and blog has been silent and so is telegram. This has a good idea behind it but right now everything seems just dead. Have you considered increasing the staff? Like more devs etc?

I have the impression that the dev team behind this doesn't have a good bankroll to move fast with their developments.
It has been a while that I have seen this site, but up until now, only the dice game is working, whereas, other games are still in the "soon" stage.
This is the usual bottleneck of a community-driven platform. If the community supporting it is not so strong and the team is only relying from its possible community, the progress of things would be slow.
Unlike with casinos that are heavily funded by private individuals or companies, they can push thru their targets on a fast pace.
So if we won't hear anything from them, I believe, this can easily be shelved and be abandoned if they see that it is hard for them to deliver their targets.
1029  Economy / Speculation / Re: What about the little increase? on: March 19, 2023, 09:55:36 PM
Now almost everyone is paying attention since bitcoin has increased since the bear market where bitcoin was under 20k for a while. There has been much speculation that this will be the start of a bull market. I myself am not going to speculate too quickly like this, because we haven't really gotten out of a bear market where prices could have returned to the lowest price. I'm not pessimistic, but I learned from what happened. You don't need to go far, when bitcoin touched 25k for example, and recently returned to 19k, didn't that make some people panic again? Grin indeed I will not be hypocritical to want to see bitcoin fly, but I also have to see how long it takes.

Whatever is happening in the btc market these days is actually a positive one.
Some were pessimistic that it won't pass 25k and yet, we are almost touching the $30k level.
This is the time where some people will say to themselves, that they should have bought satoshis at 20k, 23k, or 25k levels.
We are still below $30k, so maybe time to contemplate on what to do. Are you going to regret once it starts surpassing the 30k price?
1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 19, 2023, 09:32:12 PM
But since I think Tank will win in this fight, the money line odds is small......
The majority of bettors think that Tank Davis will win. However, we can never be too sure, as Ryan Garcia also has the power to knock out an opponent. In this fight, one punch can change the complexion of the game. So even if Garcia is an underdog now, once he is ahead in the fight, he might be able to knock out a KO artist like Davis.

I'm so excited to watch this highly anticipated fight. It's less than 2 months away, so it's coming up very soon.

Has anyone here subscribed to a PPV service? How much did you pay?

In every match, we can never be sure of the winner as we have no idea how prepared they are inside the ring.
It is understandable that a lot are rooting for Davis here, even bookies are going for Davis.
And since Garcia knows about being the underdog of this fight, he will have the motivation to sincerely prepare for this fight.
His mission is to fight Davis, and he knows possible consequences if he will lose to him. So that's a good challenge for his boxing career.
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Random Number Generator and it's importance in Online Casinos on: March 19, 2023, 08:58:13 PM
Personally, I feel that the RNG is the most important tool by which gamblers can measure an online casino's fairness, transparency, accountability, and honesty and that it operates in an ethical manner. For me this is the major role of the RNG in the online gambling industry.
I don't measure the casino's overall honesty thru RNG personally because, in the first place, I don't have the technical knowledge to know deeply how provably fair the game is. I always looked at their established reputation as a main factor in choosing the best online casinos.

At some point, I believed a reputable casino won't likely cheat by manipulating the algorithm of RNG or any related stuff.

Aside from the casino's reputation, another factor of mine is to always stick with the famous casino game providers since these providers won't be present at most casinos if their service is sh*tty and not trustworthy.
Majority of the players don't do that in my opinion, all they look for are some reviews and opinions of the community to trust a casino. Some also see if a casino is old or new or how many players it has. Different ways for different people to measure the honesty and trustworthiness of a casino platform.

An average gambler is never very technical to understand difficult terms and things including RNG and provably-fair systems, etc. They just look at the things that they can understand and start gambling right away.

That somehow is true, very few are looking at the provable fairness of the casino, once it is already established.
If you will ask players here on top casinos, if they are checking the fairness of their bet, high likely that they will say no.
In most cases, if you know you are on a reputable casino, you wouldn't ask anymore about its provable fairness.
But some players will test it from time to time, just to see if the casino is indeed honest about it.
But RNG and other provably-fair systems are just secondary if the casino already earned their credibility.
Normally, you can find such question to a new gambling site, just to test that they are indeed implementing the provable fairness.
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think that there are Dark secrets in every Successful Business on: March 19, 2023, 08:22:55 PM
Not all businessmen are dirty, and you don't have to get your hands dirty in your business to be successful, this is a wrong way of thinking, I do not agree because I have my conscience, I can't ruin people's lives because I want to be successful and not ruining peoples life won't stop me from been successful either, those who have dark secrets believe that this is the only way to turn the table around, they took a short cut instead, it depends on your belief, what you believe in is what will work for you.

Not all businessmen have to go thru their dirty laundry. Some are just happy with what they have.
So yes, not all of them are hiding something to uplift their standards in the chosen market.
There will always be rumors on what these rich businessmen have to go thru, but it doesn't define this type of people in general.
Also, if you belong to their category, the important thing is your conscience is clear so you can live your life without looking on your shoulder.
1033  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there anything like Bitcoin savings? on: March 19, 2023, 07:40:33 PM
Is possible to open a personal savings account in the bank and always send money to that account and when you are ready to collect the money, bank will give it to you, my question is, is it possible to also creat a Bitcoin wallet and always send Bitcoin to it as a savings?

OP, just to add, after reading your thread again, I came to realize something. If you save in a bank, your money will remain the same until you are ready to withdraw it (inflation can also take it cost), but if you invest in Bitcoin, you may receive the same amount of bitcoin you purchased, but the value may differ due to price volatility. Either the value has increased significantly or it will decrease. So, if you tend to save in Bitcoin with the intention of using the money next year or in a specific period of time, please keep in mind that the Bitcoin price is always unpredictable and may be down or up when you want to use the money.

If you want to make an investment in Bitcoin, feel free, but if you want to save money for a set goal, you can save in the bank unless you want to invest a certain amount that you don't want to touch for a long time into Bitcoin. Just my Opinion.

Mr.Strange 👺

And if the OP is looking for some financial services like what the traditional banks are offering,
I believe the closest is like for example what the crypto-exchanges are offering such as btc flexible or fixed savings.
You can find that in binance and other top exchanges. At least, when you store it in their platform, you are also earning something from your btc.
But if you eyeing long-term for this type of savings, it is better to put your funds in a platform where there is insurance like binance.
Because hard to trust centralized platforms as you have no idea what will happen to their site few days or few months down the line.
1034  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: March 18, 2023, 09:55:34 PM
-snip-
You can use AI for different purposes but using it to predict matches and to bet on the matches based on the result of the AI is not a wise thing to do. Also paying for GPT-4 or any AI software is even more stupid thing because even a paid version of the tool has no clue of the future.
No matter how sophisticated AI technology is, it will not be able to provide accurate future guidance, all of that is only based on Probability because ChatGPT has complex supporting data and is studied with its intelligence.

Someone's luck cannot be detected by AI, maybe in the prediction TEAM A will win with valid supporting data, but if TEAM B is lucky and turns out to be superior in the final round, then the prediction will not be accurate.

Provided with a paid version it can be used for other knowledge purposes, there is much that can be explored apart from asking about betting predictions.

Another thing, AI also cannot detect the present conditions of the player.  Also, it cannot detect the game strategy of the team.  AI is good for data analysis of the previous event but it is not good in predicting the present activities thus that made AI less effective in predicting the game results.  There are also a situation that is unseen by AI like injuries, current game performance, and many more.  So as for me, AI is only good in comparing team data, the history of strengths and weaknesses of the team's performance but not the current events so depending on AI is disastrous if there are several changes and development in teams right before their game.

That's the blind spot of AI. They can only use the previous history of the event.
But as you said, the current conditions or techniques of the team, they won't know it.
So for me, AI may get a good prediction for the event, but they will always miss something, so it won't be 100% accurate.
Also, if the sportsbooks already learned that AI are giving them trouble, which means, the percentage of winnings are getting higher, definitely,
they will act on this situation. I don't think they will let the AI bankrupt their business.
1035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stay humble and go your own way (invest in yourself) - the best strategy of 2022 on: March 18, 2023, 09:25:14 PM
With how things go these days, simply finding the very reason to live and carry on for another 24 hours is enough a reason to congratulate them. Everything is going to the shitbox, pandemic, gun violence, corruption, economic crises, tensions in between borders that could very well escalate into a world war, deteriorating environment, and a fuck ton of other reasons that could get into people's heads and make them depressed. So to people who lost significant portions of their money, be it from your own volition or not, please know that this is not the end of the line, money could still be recovered but your lives and your importance to other people wouldn't be. Give yourselves a pat on the back if you weathered 2022 and let's all hope for everyone's success this 2023.

We can always find money if we are diligent enough to do things even outside our comfort zone.
I can put it this way, live simply and don't divulge much of yourself into social media.
You will have peace of mind if as much as possible, you won't be posting in any of these channels.
The reason why a lot is experiencing mental stress owed to the things they are reading over the net, or what they seeing on their feeds.
Aside from what the OP enumerated, if I may add. Limit your exposure to social media platforms.
It doesn't mean you don't care anymore but it is for your mental health. It will give you like a detox of what's happening around you.
1036  Economy / Gambling / Re: RoyalStarsCasino.com | Crypto Fastest Growing Casino | Best No Wagering of 375% on: March 18, 2023, 09:04:13 PM
Welcome to the forum! I have checked your site; it's pretty relaxed and exciting. However, I don't have any experience with this site. So it would be great if someone could share their personal experiences with us through this forum, as it would benefit many of us. Good luck with your site.
Since you have a positive impression and you are already there, why won't you just try it out? I check the sign up page and it wasn't that hard. It seems there is no KYC on it but IDK, maybe they will ask it only once we are at the withdrawal page.

We need to read the TOS or ask them directly in regards to this matter if we are unsure. To be honest, what got my attention about this site is their no wagering bonus. 375% also looks kinda big. Pretty sure that I will check them later once I got home and let everyone know if what I think about it and their other feature. I hope this wasn't like the others out there which made me disappointed afterwards.

If you will read their KYC policy here - https://www.royalstarscasino.com/en/info/kyc-policy.
They do require to submit KYC docs with 3 elements of verification - ID, proof of address and proof of payment.
It states that the player should submit within 48 hours after requesting payout.
So yes, they will require KYC before you can make any withdrawal. Need to read the docs they need for each verification.
Do take note also that when you submit these docs, use the email ad that you used for your registration, otherwise, they won't accept and your funds are screwed.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | Unified WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | May 7 on: March 17, 2023, 09:58:54 PM
So hopefully this is not going to be the case for Fulton, he is the champion and he really fought hard against Figueroa and survived and win that fight. And this fight is really going to define him whether he is really that good is somewhat this fight is going to be closed at least unlike the Butler fight wherein it was a complete domination by Inoue.
Whether he is a champion or not, Inoue does not care. He will always give his best to deliver an impressive outcome. What Fulton has to do is train hard and not chicken out once he feels the heavy punches of Inoue. It's sure to be very painful, but if he wants to have a chance, he needs to take it and give his own big shots as well.

There is some factor to consider that will determine the result of the fight.  One is whether Fulton is able to absorb Inoue's punches.  If he do then we can see the fight go in a distance probably resulting to a decision.  Another factor is whether Inoue can withstand Fulton's punches.  If Inoue can't then the result might disappoint many viewers and millions of Inoue fans.

Although the weight difference is somehow small, we can't remove the fact that a boxer who is used to fighting in that category is believed to have an advantage in terms of absorbing punches from a boxer that comes from a lower weight division but many believe that Inoue's case is different and be able to bring the 100% lethal punches effectively in the next division.  Though I also think that way, I cannot deny the fact that there is a possibility that we might be overestimating Inoes punching power and underestimate Fulton's.  Besides, Fulton has great motivation to beating Inoue so I guess his preparation is way more intense than his previous ones.  So I am looking forward to watch this match and how it will unfold.

Fulton is the underdog in this match, so more than likely, that's his motivation to win on this fight.
Inoue is the challenger for this belt, and yet, he is the bookies' favorite to win.
Let us see what odds they will give to other lines. They are highly favoring Inoue, though I can understand the reasons.
This will be a very good test for Inoue if he can move up to one weight division to the next, and maintaining to be the winner.
If he wins on this division, he may really push himself to another division, a boxing sensation in the making, and his camp will earn tons of money because of him.
1038  Economy / Economics / Re: Planning avoids unnecessary expenses on: March 17, 2023, 09:41:42 PM
The best thing is that you had to learn this lesson the hard way, and now at least you can make changes in the future based on what you have learned. From the proverb "he that does not plan is planning to fail" from your story whenever you remember the cars and all the tragic incidents it's all a painful situation, living a luxurious life that you could not afford, and phones that are beyond your budget. I really appreciate the information you provided, and I think planning is crucial in onces life with this you can avoid unnecessary expenses.

Experiencing failure will truly give you a very good lesson to remember in your lifetime.
People will only understand the situation after they surpassed such trial in their life.
Planning will only makes sense to some people if at one point in their lives, they did experience such test with their financial situation.
Also, at a young age, you have very different goals in life as compared to when you grow older, as you become wiser.
And to add, once you have your own family and kids depending on you, you definitely will change your financial decisions.
The OP lived an extravagant lifestyle once, and then, going broke. Once he got out of this miserable situation, I would say, he will know his choices in life already.
1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical gambling and internet gambling which is more fun. on: March 17, 2023, 08:21:27 PM
This is very situational, in my opinion online or land gambling is good and also fun. However, if I had to choose, I would choose online gambling because it is very easy to access, can be used anywhere, especially at home, because without spending a lot of money, such as eating, drinking, including transportation. And everything goes faster and also convenient.
On the other hand, real life gambling comes with other elements such as atmosphere, the ability to see the situation of opposing players, a vulnerable crowd with clamor, more emotions, which can certainly enhance the experience.

The experience is totally different when it comes to land-based casinos over online.
However, if you are an introvert person with very little money to spend, online casinos would be your bestfriend.   Grin
But if you want fun with your family or with friends, even if you have small bankroll, you can enjoy it going inside a physical casino.
Also, it depends on your location. Some offline casinos are far from where you reside, so going into one of them would be a hassle.
This is why a lot of users you can find in this forum are preferring online crypto casinos for a number of reasons.
The degree of fun is relative to the person who is playing, depends on what he is looking for at that moment.

1040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | Unified WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | May 7 on: March 16, 2023, 09:55:18 PM
Nah, I'm going to pass on that one. It's not that I'm disrespecting Fulton nor underestimating him, it's just that it is truly hard to bet against the Naoya Inoue who is touted as the monster himself just like his alias. Fulton might be fine as a comb at 122 but I cannot stand betting against the favorite in this case, it will be a profitable wager for sure if it turns out that the champion successfully defended his belt but that is a big if for now as I know Inoue will always evolve into a much stronger monster if he will face a competitive and strong boxers. For comparison, look at Inoue before and after his 1st fight against Donaire.

I like to bet on the underdog so I think I'll be betting on Fulton.  Being a champion, we know Fulton has the capability, it is that Naoya Inoue is somehow overrated and massively favored by the crowd due to his past performance.  Remember, For Inoue, this is a new weight class that is dominated by Fulton, let alone a heavier one.  So I think betting on Fulton is not that disadvantageous for me.

Though I agree that Inoue has the capability to evolve just like what happen in his 2 fights against Donaire, but, this is the first time Inoue fighting a championship title in the 122 lbs so the evolution of Inoue in this weight division hasn't been triggered yet  Grin

New weight division for Inoue, but the move up is not that big, so for me, it is not difficult for Inoue to fight on this weight division.
He may seem overrated, but we can see that he can really perform a very good toe-to-toe fight inside the ring.
Well, everyone has their own bet on this upcoming fight. If you will bet on Inoue, the profit is only small if you bet small.
So look for other money betting lines like if this will go the distance or what round will this fight be finished?
