641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 25, 2023, 09:32:24 PM
And I also think that Fulton might stay and last for 12 rounds. But as you guys says, Inoue is very quick and his jab is sharper than ever. Congrats to those who had Fulton by KO here, and it's the obvious choice. But I just thought that Fulton being the slick and technical fighter he is, could last the against the Monster.

Well, not after the start officially started. As we all can see, Fulton was very careful as he knew how dangerous hid opponent is, but clearly he got dominated. Every round Inoue is winning, not even a single round I can give to Fulton, it's like he was not fighting to win there, but he was fighting to survive the 12 round and survive the onslaught that the Inoue unleashes.
To be in this  higher division and completely dominate the toughest is such an impressive act. Still, I give respect to Fulton for not ducking a future HOF in boxing. He really wants this fight and now he just proved himself how strong and skilled Inoue is.
Overall in this match, Inoue is much faster, powerful, and more intelligent than Fulton.
When it comes to technicality then Inoue is really good on this one and also with power which it is really that true that Fulton got dominated on every round but the good thing to look at is that he do really facing
Inoue unlike on vs Butler which it is really a pretty boring fight and i could say that this is really that way better against Fulton despite they had thrown out some issues earlier but good thing that the fight
did push through. After being knocked out, you do really see that Fulton is really that still that having that ego. Now that he had been able to taste out on how good Inoue is, then for sure
he would really be telling to himself that he is really fighting a monster. We cant really deny even us viewers or fans on whose really that seeing his power and speed which we can
say that he could be able to step up on another division i would say.

Inoue showed to his boxing fans that he can dominate the fight even if he is the challenger here.
So don't know if Fulton's camp will ask for a re-match on this because haven't read from any boxing articles that they are looking for one.
Now, he will be looking for a bigger fight next. Either he will go up to another division or find a worthwhile opponent on this division.
He is still young so he may be looking to conquer other weight classes here. But in any case, there are 4 names that boxing analysts come up with
potential opponents for Inoue - (1) Marlon Tapales of PH, (2) Luis Nery of Mexico, (3) Leigh Wood of UK and (4) Robeisy Ramirez of Cuba.
642  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Is dirty Bitcoin an Attractive Option for growing money on: July 25, 2023, 09:00:14 PM
Bitcoin is an attractive option for money launders primarily because laundering money using cryptocurrencies is easier than other methods.

Don't make it look like as if bitcoin is designed for this illegal purpose bitcoin is just a digital currency whereby people can use to hold their wealth or assets and exchange for them as well, money launderers take the risk to go about stealing from their victims any valuables and not with bitcoin or through bitcoin is any of these evil done, but they can choose to exchange their money or assets with bitcoin without anyone knowing or going through the means for their wealth accumulations just as you and I can go to the bank and make deposit and no one will query the source of our finance, the question we should ask is that are people not making money laundering with fiat right before bitcoin was being introduced.

This is why some people are hesitant about the nature of bitcoin because some people have their negative approach on this market.
This market has just been used by money launderers and other illegal actors because they are finding a way to hide their privacy.
But this market is not created for such purpose, it just evolves to one of these use cases because we can't control illegal activities in any monetary system.
Just like any type of currency, this market is not immune to those kind of people. We just need to be cautious dealing with such as we don't know what they can do to you to screw your hard-earned money.
643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is the Exchange Rate of Bitcoin to USD and Other Currencies Determined? on: July 24, 2023, 05:52:25 PM
Supply and demand. Each exchange has separate markets for each currency which fluctuates based on the recent trades. You can see the offers to buy and the offers to sell.
Exactly. But on exchanges and other trading platforms. Which is also where other sites take their price from.

Those like Cointelegraph which is a news site is different. Also the price on Coingecko and Coinmarketcap are different. The exchange and coin listing sites take the average price from all the exchanges they listed on their platform.
And that is why the prices of the demand and supply of each exchange is different. People like Binance for buying and selling of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies because they have the best price scale in the cryptocurrency world. If vendors in Binance buying $29,126 to 1 BTC = #27,320,030,96 as Nigeria Fiat Currency other exchange like Busa, Ramitano and Paxful price would be lesser than Binance, so the exchanges operate different base on the fluctuating nature of bitcoin.

As you can see the law of supply and demand acts quite differently from one exchange to another.
Let us say a very small exchange, since the trading volume is small and maybe the sell orders are higher than the buy orders,
the seller can lower his price if he wants to execute his order fast. And that price may be different from the selling price in binance or coinbase.
This is why a lot are interested in trading with binance or other top exchanges because they can get a very good deal and quite faster.
So yes, the supply and demand concept greatly contributes to the price movement of the currency on every trading platform.
644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Abuse ... on: July 24, 2023, 05:19:38 PM
what do you think about this?
Do you agree that gambling outside what gambling is meant for is abuse on gambling?
If you agree, what do you think should be done to gambling abusers if there was a way to catch them?
Should they be arrested and prosecuted same way drug abusers are arrested and prosecuted if caught?

How does this gambling abuse relate to drug abuse? I fail to see the connection somehow. I don't know any gamblers who turned to drugs because they failed in gambling.
Whether and how they should be prosecuted depends on the harm done by them. If they cheated in a game resulted in small loss for a casino, they should be treated like system testers or hackers. They did not cost the casino a lot of money and in return showed a loophole in the system.

I believe the OP is just making a comparison here. Drug abusers are getting punished.
And when it comes to gambling abusers, they are also getting penalties from the site they abused with.
This is easier for online gambling sites as they will have a record how a certain player will abuse the services of the site.
Just take for example, those sign-up bonuses or free coins. The site itself can have their own security features to fight with abusers.
If not, they have their security team flagging down account of those abusers. So in a way, those who are caught of abusing the system will receive the penalties from the site according to what is stated from their terms and conditions, depending on what kind of violation that a player committed.
645  Economy / Economics / Re: Europe have one big problem the euro currency on: July 24, 2023, 12:49:07 PM
All those explanation, you forgot about tourist. European countries have always attracted millions or even billion tourist every year. Outside of Tech and Car stuff, tourism is one of the biggest export of European Countries. And those tourist will exchange their currency into Euro.
Other thing is that you might have valid point that Euro only sell for a luxury stuff, Sports Car, Designer Clothing, etc. But like it or not rich people will still buy those luxurious goods.

Regarding tourists, haven't you heard about the latest trend: many European cities are tired of tourists and are actually trying to get rid of them. Cities like Amsterdam and Venice are taking action to stop tourism. They are closing the cruise ship terminals, restricting river cruises, converting hotels into offices, imposing earlier closing times for clubs and pubs etc etc. IMO, this is the road to self-destruction. Stopping mass tourism is a really bad idea for the reasons you mentioned above.

They will know the impact of tourism to their economy when it will be gone.
However, there will always be tourists. I don't think they can totally eradicate the presence of it.
Unless, the government will not entertain visitors and block their entry to their country.
Which for me, is hard to do. We have seen this scenario during the pandemic days only.
And now, we are returning back to where we were. So mass tourism will always be here but maybe they can put some restrictions on it.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers Belief on: July 23, 2023, 09:58:48 PM
If you want to see a person full of hope and belief, then gamblers are the perfect example. The hope of winning and the belief to win is found in gambling. Even if you tell them that gambling is risky and the result may come out differently (not in his favor), they refuses to accept it and have 100% belief that they will win at any cost.
High expectations, low reality.
This is a general description for gambling addicts who really cannot gamble professionally. Why do I say unprofessional, because when there is a professional gambler, he really knows when to enter and leave, and knows what his chances are of winning at that time. Not only that, usually they don't rely on luck but indeed their abilities in gambling.

but for gamblers who are already addicted and incapable, aka often relying on luck, this really happens a lot. They always believe and always have high hopes that this time they will win, and so on until they have nothing because their treasures run out.

And most of the time, you will encounter gambling addicts who don't know their boundaries.
The reason why this industry is negative to most because of some gamblers displaying negative attitude when they are on the losing side.
Just a simple example, gamblers who have large debts and still continue to play hoping that they will hit the jackpot and pay their loans.
Well, they are showing hope but on a different light. Hoping that someday they will be rich playing their games. But mostly will end up broke.
647  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betchia.com Crypto Casino on: July 23, 2023, 09:46:20 PM
If you’re part of the team better to improve your introduction here about the site, and don’t just share the link. Work with your marketing team and maximize the opportunity here, try to get a copper member so you can post images. Anyway, the site looks of but I still need to know the important details about the site, the terms and conditions especially the details for KYC and withdrawal.

Once he acquired the copper membership, he can improve their ANN thread.
This casino has been running for years already, so they are not new in this industry.
Maybe, they just find the forum recently, so they launch it here in the forum.
And for those who will avail the sign-up bonus, take note that it has expiry.
After couple of months that you haven't touched it, they will forfeit, according to their terms.
So for new players, much better if you will browse their terms before depositing on their site.
Their wagering requirement is 50x if you will get your free credit bonus and they have cap of how much you can withdraw from your winnings.
648  Economy / Economics / Re: Can CBDC users lose control of their money? on: July 23, 2023, 09:21:32 PM

Yeah, it seems like the decisions already have been made and they're dosing the news slowly so everyone can ease into the thought that it'll happen eventually.
What I wonder is if we'll see each individual country (with sovereign currency) being responsible for running and maintaining the CBDC systems, or will we see some central, global institution running the 'core' of it, with each country having some admin privileges to issue/burn its own coins.
We also know that anything centrally planned, which is not subject to free market scrutiny, tends to not function very well or even fail miserably, so we might experience some turbulent times in the not-so-far future.

By the way, with the global implementation of CBDC, cryptocurrency may get a second chance. It is not a secret that states are going to use smart contracts, which will prescribe where a person can spend his CBDCs, and access to them can be blocked due to low social rating. Then the blocked person will have no other choice but to use cryptocurrencies to somehow survive

This may pave the way of more crypto users not CBDC users. Because customers can gauge which one will be useful for them.
As they will see the disadvantages of holding their CBDC, people will get their attention on checking out other cryptocurrencies.
Since the government is already open with the use of crypto, the sentiment of these people towards crypto may change as well, which I think will be on the positive side.
A lot of people are hesitant to venture in crypto in the old days because of the notion that it was a scam, fraud or whatever they called it.
But now, they are seeing that large corporations and governments are endorsing the use of bitcoin and crypto in general.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Irresponsible behavior at the Las Vegas Casino on: July 23, 2023, 07:46:11 PM
The point here is why gamblers do such shameless acts and what the rules of the casino suggest the penality for these acts. Do you think the gambler did it purposefully perhaps to become popular in the headlines  Huh
I doubt anyone was trying to be popular and in the news here. If in fact he was drugged and a toxicology report can confirm this, the guy may not get into much trouble. If he cannot prove he was drugged, he will be banned for life at the casino as well as face a jail sentence, probation, a fine, or all.

They can easily test him if he is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, right?
And when he sobers up, we will know what really happen to him and why he did such stunt.
More than likely, if he is not intoxicated, he won't do such bold act in front of the public.
I don't think someone in normal capacity would do that shameless act.
But whatever penalty the casino will give to him, he should be ready for it as a consequence of what he pulled off in the public.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM or not ? on: July 22, 2023, 09:31:11 PM
Thank you very much for all your replies.

I understand that I got scammed. I invested money I needed so it puts me in a difficult position.
However, I will not continue on this scam so I will not pay them more.
Code:
The scam exchange adress is http://www.hitcoin.cc/

Sorry about your loss. I hope you've learnt a lesson or two from that experience. As a base rule of thumb, always remember that anything that sounds too good to be true (offers, deals, interests, etc) then it's probably NOT TRUE. It's fascinating how far scammers are willing to go these days that they create a full fledged site and parade it as a "broker" or investment platform.

Ensure you vet every single information you receive from anyone on the internet especially if they are strangers.

Try to still report them to your local cyber crimes dept. - police

Great idea. Might not help much with OP's case but having a record of it might come in handy one day.

I'm not sure why it's still too easy to scam even more people in present day crypto space.

For these scammers, it is still quite easy because there are still gullible people who will believe their stunts.
If the OP searched about the reviews or asked first about this site, maybe, he won't be in this situation.
However, it is already too late as these scammers got a hold already of his funds, so won't get it back anymore.
Maybe, move this thread to scam accusations board so users will be warned about this site.
I don't know how the OP found this site, but this is a new site, which they can abandon easily and create a new one.
651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $1,080 Billion powerball lotto winner in the USA on: July 22, 2023, 08:57:35 PM
~snip~

That's how those taxes work.  Not only does the total prize amount get cut if its a lump sum it also gets taxed at the highest bracket.  So in the end the government always wins around 70% given that they take some of the proceeds before that's even established.  The prize is so high so what's the difference to the winner but it truly is criminal.  But hey if ypu don't like it just don't play it's like anything else.
^ Definitely right and in fact, it is unfortunate but not uncommon.
Lottery winnings are typically subject to hefty taxes, which can significantly reduce the final amount received by the winner. Opting for a lump sum payment can also result in a reduced amount, as it takes into account the present value of the prize and the taxes that need to be paid upfront. However, winning such a massive amount, even after taxes, would still be life-changing for the lucky individual. I will be keeping an eye out for the official announcement to see who the real winner is and how this amazing story unfolds.

That is true, even if they deduct such taxes, the winner still got a ton of money that will change her life.
Some won't officially disclose the identity of the winner to safeguard her privacy.
But if the winner herself is announcing it to the public, then, that's her problem when some of illegal actors will be after her.
She should have kept it secret, she has no money yet from those winnings. And yet, she's giving her face to the public.
I hope she won't face any trouble claiming her winnings if she's the real winner. Should try to be discreet as she has no idea how those scammers work out there.
652  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🤓 CryptoCasinoGeeks: Navigating the Evolution of Crypto Casinos 🎰 on: July 21, 2023, 09:56:27 PM
The design of your site is okay on Mobile phone, I haven't tried to on laptop though.

It would be better to add more casino reviews to your site because having to go back to your site only to see few reviews is not good, it will discourage others from ever going to your site.
For now, try as much as possible to add more reviews to your site talk to companies (we have several casinos here in the forum that are yet to be reviewed by you) talk to them and add them to your site that way if anyone is going to your site they'll be a new review to read.

We are seeing that he's adding more casinos so give them time to conduct their comprehensive review.
Also, at least they are reviewing familiar sites found in the forum. Hope to see duelbits also in their list.
And regarding the top 5 casinos, hope to see the list will change once they have more reviewed casinos.
Doing the review, should not be in a hurry also. They can take all their time so we would read a valuable insight from their end.
653  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: July 21, 2023, 09:36:01 PM
People who are penniless use gambling to make money. That once happened to one of my friends. At that time, we were hanging out at a friend's house. While chatting, a friend suddenly said he wanted to make money first. We wondered because, as far as we knew, he had no job at all and where he wanted to find the money. He then said I want to make money from gambling.

And without us knowing, he often gambled, more precisely, playing traditional cards with his friends. And he was lucky to be able to bring home some money and buy food and daily necessities. We advised him that gambling would not guarantee a win and that he should stop. One of our friends even went to find a job for him only to ask him to quit. And fortunately, he realized that what he was doing was wrong, and he decided to stop immediately and leave gambling forever until now.

So perhaps, the percentage of people from the lower class can gamble more often because they really need money to survive rather than looking for other jobs.

That's the sad reality of life. If you go to slum areas, for sure, a lot of them are into gambling.
Though we don't know the statistics on this, yet, I believe, there are so many poor people who are into gambling.
Lottery alone for example, a lot are betting on this hoping that they will hit the jackpot, and most bettors just have enough money for food.
In my case, I only gamble if I have extra, I stop if I know I am going beyond my allotted amount.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is Gamble gaining more fans than Bitcoin? on: July 20, 2023, 09:56:00 PM
Gambling has been there since the existence of man and it has being used as a means of entertainment in festivals and some events. So many people involves in gambling from a teen age based on the company that they keep. Gambling can easily be done with little funds and so many people see gambling as a means to make quick money because they have seen people who hits the jackpot and their lives never remained the same.

Bitcoin is different because is a new technology and bitcoin investment needs patient for one to be able to benefit from it. The people who are eager to make quick money will prefer gamble to bitcoin, which take four years for one to make profit. Something new is always hard for people to believe in it easily,it needs a gradual process.

With the rise of online crypto casinos, more and more people are also discovering these online gambling sites.
Most people are familiar with gambling, whether it is offline or online, whereas, bitcoin investments is not for all.
As you said, gambling has been here since humanity existed, so it is no rocket science why people know how to gamble rather than invest in a new digital currency.
Besides, most of these online casinos accept small amount of deposits like $5-10, so for them, they can already have some fund with that amount of money.
655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Stop Gambling Even If You're Doing Great If This Happens To You on: July 20, 2023, 09:36:52 PM
There's a saying Mother knows best, so true also for fathers, they just want the best for us and they don't want what they worked for in their business to go to waste because let's admit it this is gambling and there's always the temptation to lose everything, when it comes to gambling its hard to be in control all the time, there will be a point that you want to bet more or all because you don't want opportunity to lose, there is also FOMO in gambling.
You will also understand what your father feel when you become a father yourself, your father wants the best for your future and you feel the same for your son and gambling is not something that will lead you a good future, so gamble moderately so your father will not think that you are addicted to gambling

We all know where most addicted gamblers end up with. So yes, the father has his valid reasons about the condition before he will give the inheritance.
You may be winning today, but if you continue your gambling activities, sooner or later, you will realize that you are on the losing side already.
You can't guarantee that you will always be on your winning side, remember, this is gambling. So I am that person, I would take the inheritance
and promise not to go in gambling anymore. You are given an assurance of wealth that you can further increase it via other means like setting-up a business.
656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can't do something else offline, is this something wrong? on: July 20, 2023, 09:05:23 PM
Pursuing a career or business that aligns with our interests and passions can be incredibly fulfilling and satisfying. It's important to prioritize what matters most to us and not let others dictate our choices.

We should strive to create a life that brings us joy and fulfillment, whether that's through our work or our hobbies. The ideal job is one that we enjoy doing and that also provides us with financial stability and security. It's up to each individual to determine what that looks like for them and to not let others' opinions or expectations steer them away from their passions.

And this is why every person can pursue a different business, depending on what you want to do in life.
Like the OP, he is more comfortable dealing with btc, whereas, some of his colleagues are into animal raising.
You can't push yourself to a business that is not your inkling, so just follow your heart's desires.
We are carving our own path in this life, so it is up to you what you think will be best for you.
657  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with caution on: July 19, 2023, 09:58:25 PM
It is very difficult to apply the experience of another trader on yourself, I mean that it is difficult to learn from the mistakes of others, everyone thinks that they could make a better decision in the same situation. Therefore, we get experience, only when we ourselves make mistakes and lose money, this will be the best lesson to learn. No matter how carefully you try to trade, but mistakes will be inevitable, I do not know a single trader who would become successful and at the same time never lose money.
Trues, based on my experienced with how many mistake I made and always did the same mistake when trading with other coins, actually experienced is the best teacher but can't apply in cryptocurrency trading. Many time loss moment when trading exactly when is right time to buy or sell. I don't think with some trader how expert they are because mistake will be inevitable on every time, but right now I learned more from my mistake and trade in several kinds of my fund.
I don't all in my fund in single trading and spent half capital for trade on another time or recovery fund when bitcoin or altcoin going drop to lower price.

Every trading we made we gain experience not all the time we win the trades this serves as a lesson to us what are the things we need to fix, another thing is if you didn't apply those mistake you made I guess you need to make changes to your self we learn from those to prevent this things might happen again use this to serve as a lesson to you so you don't repeat it again. Another thing is people keep doing a single coin holdings or making a single pot of asset if those asset falls down all of your investment goes down too ideal to separate and scattered those funds so you can still win in others if you didn't mange to get profit to those some investments.

As each trade is different as the market performance of each coin varies from one to the next,
you can't apply what you have learned from your previous trade to your next trade.
But you can always keep in mind such lesson when you encounter it again.
Diversification is always advisable to get out alive in any market. You always need to think of your contingencies so as not to go bankrupt,
when one asset is on the losing side. Better think ahead rather not prepared for what's to come.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mistake that prevented your big win. on: July 19, 2023, 09:42:20 PM
~
When the 5th game was played, all matches came out as predicted and I was called by the casino,to offer me a cash out of $200 in my local currency and I refused it because if the other two games was played and the I got the predictions right. I will win $1200,so I turned the offer down. The painful part of it was that the two games were to kick off on the same time, and after the games,my prediction for the two games was wrong. I felt so bad because I allowed greed to control my emotion. For this reason,I having decided that when ever I have an opportunity to cash out again,I will always go for it,instead of thinking that I can win all the money.
Not sure in which casino you are placing a bet, top casinos have the cash out option all the time and once you think that the predicted outcome is not possible you can withdraw the amount. As a gambler you go through these situation whenever you place a parlay bet, you loose some and you win some and if you would have won the bet, you would be thinking how smart you were by rejecting the cash out option Grin.
This is actually my mistake, for taking profit early and later on I should have won more if I didn’t hit the button to take profit. Well, this is the usual scenario in gambling and for me we should not regret it since profit is a profit and better to avoid that kind of emotion because it can trigger your greediness to gamble more and the result might be different this time. Gambling can be very exciting, and having the profit on your wallet makes a lot of sense.

But what if you lose? For sure, you will thank yourself that you take your profit early.
This scenario tells us that we can never be sure about the next thing that may happen to our game.
So it is our decision to cut it and take the winnings, or continue and possibly lose all those profits.
You can't tell that you will win the next time you place your bet, so it is really your choice on what to do next here.

I come from China,The following is translated by machine ,My brother has leukemia. I have already owed  30,000 US dollars. But my brother still hasn't improved. I finally got the bone marrow last week. The doctor said it would cost about 75,000 US dollars. My total assets are about 3,000 US dollars now. If I want to treat my brother. Is it too late to buy btc now?thank you
If you live in China, you must understand that you have no chance to invest in BTC. China government bans crypto, it is including BTC for sure. If you force yourself to invest in BTC, you will get a trouble with the law if the government knows it. So, it is not a wise decision to invest in something illegal in your country.

Anyway, BTC investment has no guarantee for profits and it is always a high risk investment. If you expect for an exact profit and it should be in the short time holding, BTC isn't the right option. People mostly invest in BTC for a long term holding, but they never set an exact profit although they set a target. Regarding the time for entry (buy), surely it is not too late. We are still in the bearish period, it is always a good time to buy whenever there is a big dump.

>>: https://worldcoin.org/articles/china-crypto-ban

Unfortunately, the answer to OP's question is no. Aside from being banned in China,
the guarantee of high profits is not on the table. Should look for other options to find the money.
I think the OP is thinking that he can get at least 10x of his 3k USD if he will invest in btc.
It means, btc going up at least to 90k, which we know is not the case here,
660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin according to Satoshi is digital money then why call it investment. on: July 18, 2023, 09:59:20 PM
Bitcoin can be freely used as a digital money and as a good investment. It’s everyone’s choice where he’ll be more comfortable and he’ll gain more advantage. And as for now, seeing bitcoin as an investment is way more exciting and profitable. But of course you need not to invest if you are still not knowledgeable on how bitcoin works, and if you have still doubts and hesitations on taking its risk.

With the past decade of bitcoin's existence, it evolves to being one of the best digital investments in this market.
Sure, Satoshi had a different use case in mind when he created this currency.
However, who would have thought that this digital currency will pull off and attain such value today?
Early users even had no idea that this will achieve such status today and attract big time companies.
This is why we are enjoying this currency to be an investment today, for one because of its high volatility feature.
