901  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Confident Are you With Altcoin In This Time on: April 30, 2023, 09:57:29 PM
Have to diversify with the altcoins, and I’m confident enough for this.
Buying altcoins seems a mandatory for me because there’s also a good opportunity with the altcoins, all you have to do is to choose the best one and you can be good too. Altcoins are mean to stay, but with regards to making profit, you should make sure that you are dealing with the good altcoins.
Well, good luck on that, bit not many will go the same route by diversifying into many altcoins for the fear pf more losses, most especially on a long-term basis, but sincerely altcoin is one of the most effective means to gain massive profit within a short term base.

But for long-term investment, altcoin may be too risky since you may not be able to predict what will happen in the long run, since altcoin os best only for short-term speculations.

There may be a couple of alts that are worth looking into, ETH and BNB.
Other than that, hard to trust your hard-earned money if you are looking at long-term basis.
You can always diversify as it is your funds, but it is also your responsibility to keep up with the updates of each alt you want to venture with.
No one will do it for you but yourself. So you are free to choose your alts but it is your own risk here. No one else's.
902  Economy / Economics / Re: What class of an investor are you? on: April 30, 2023, 09:40:36 PM

The researcher investor
The researcher investor wants to conduct thorough investigation before deciding whether to invest. They might even decide against investing altogether since, if you wait to make a decision until you know everything, you might never invest.

I think they think ahead not not to invest but research and see if they think the project can grow later after they invest, and I think the people who do the research are the smartest of all.
Yes, they are. They know how risky it is to invest without knowing if what they are investing. There are people who invest on a project only because it is popular or it is listed in a popular exchange. They are doing it wrong but I can't really blame them because maybe these people are lacking in intelligence and they won't still understand some things that are written on the whitepaper or on the roadmap.

For them, it was only a waste of time and effort and I believe that many of them will just accept their faith. If their investment goes well, fine they will be happy about it but if not then it's fine as well. They will just stop or move on to the other project.

For a lot of us who have been screwed in the past, I believe, we are more on this type of investor.
Though I was doing my study also before investing, still I got caught in some failed projects.
Remember the ICO heydays, I invested in some projects thinking that I can truly find good ones.
But some of them really just ate my funds without return. And from then on, I am hesitant to invest in new projects even if it is a promising one.
903  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM WARNING] TheTopSpotOnline Plagiarized Whitepaper on: April 30, 2023, 08:58:22 PM
Most developers aren't ICO whitepaper writers. Most developers are just that developers so it would make sense to hire someone that writes whitepapers to write it. Because the developer is pending time writing code. But I understand check me out. I am real.
That's a standrad excuse that we heard every time someone cought altcoin project plagiarizing whitepaper or having stock image photos. Its always someone elses fault and not your own. But even if you indeed hired someone to write the whitepaper, its your responsibility to see if everything is legit.

By the way, I see on your website that you signed yourself under few articles. So how come are you capable of writing articles yet you had to hire someone to write whitepaper for you? Or you also didn't write those articles and someone else did it for you?

They really do have the responsibility to check the content of what they are publishing.
Plagiarism is still rampant with new projects. It is okay to copy someone's work, but not word for word.
Since you are not inventing the market, you can include your references where you got your statements.
This is why a lot of us already stop reading whitepapers because we know, most are just copy of the copy of the copy from someone else's copy.
They can still pursue the project but need to rectify what their documents if they are serious in expanding their business.
904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a fan of sports betting? Have you ever considered using Bitcoin sportsbo on: April 30, 2023, 08:20:44 PM
I've done that obviously and of course the majority of us here. But at these times, I think that everyone is starting to think of preserving their bitcoins for the next bull run.

While there are some other altcoins that's also accepted in most sports books, that's what we can opt to to keep on betting with the sports we follow and would love to bet without spending our bitcoin.

Since we've got a lot of bookies that are focused with bitcoin/altcoin acceptance, soon we might see physical casinos that has bookies as well that will accept bitcoin too.

Certainly, those who are into gambling and in this forum, may have at one point bet on their favorite sports.
Once you found the crypto bookies, you may not want to go back on fiat-based sportsbetting sites.
For me, one good thing with crypto bookies is that you can bet small without worrying about what other people will say.
Can you go to a regular physical betting place and place $5 or $10? I would say, you won't do that, it's like wasting your time.
But with crypto bookies, you can place small bets very easy, and at the comfort of your home. What more can you ask for?
905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Space ID token? on: April 29, 2023, 09:58:25 PM
Binance is going to list Space ID token this week. What do you guys think about this token? Can we expect at least 1$ value in this coin? As I can see there will be very big movements because this project is making hype in twitter because of their airdrop phases.

the price of Space ID on Binance Launchpad is $0.025 and with current market conditions, I think Space ID price might reach $2-$3, because the total supply from Space ID is also not too much (only 2,000,000,000) and the token offered on Binance Launchpad are only 100,000,000, so I think the price of Space ID is very easy to reach $2-$3 (if the crypto market conditions are still stable and good).

Before speculating such price, have you checked about the status of their actual progress of their developments?
Binance accepted this project in their launchpad, it means, they are seeing something positive and promising.
But it doesn't mean that it will just grow miraculously without the help of its developers themselves.
The project will be a hit in the market and can sustain it because of the people behind it.
Thus, make sure to check the actual happenings within the project. What are their future plans and all.
906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too many bills killing crypto on: April 29, 2023, 09:24:38 PM
Many countries are trying to regulate Crypto including BTC. The most active among them are Us, Some European countries and India. Us is the most dangerous one amongst all  them. Personally i think it will not happen soon but the way they trying and introducing bill again and again they will take some action. People interest towards crypto is increasing every single days and its now impossible to completely banned crypto and the only way to kill crypto is make it centralized.

If they succeed in their mission then BTC and other crypto will be same like other stock market and we will not see big gains like before. We have two years or more before regulations to earn as much as from crypto. after regulation high pump seen will be totally over.

If you look at this situation, people want their government to accept the crypto market.
And this move is actually trying to accept crypto particularly BTC in their financial system.
So for me, it is not killing crypto but trying to regulate the usage of btc, hence, the adoption.
These people for sure will do their due diligence before implementing something, they won't implement without studying the given market.
They will know the sentiments of people because in today's generation, they can basically read such sentiments over social media channels.
907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Vincent Astrolabio WBO 118lbs Title (May 13) on: April 29, 2023, 08:42:40 PM
I pick Astrolabio in this fight.

Although Moloney only lost against two top boxers in his weight e.g. Inoue and Emmanuel Rodríguez, but his winnings are mostly against weak boxers. Nawaphon Kaikanha who previously beaten by Moloney is one of the example, he have 58 fights but most of them are unknown boxers.

On other hand, Astrolabio lost 3 times in 2017-2018, but it's already 5 years ago and I think those lost are the factors how Astrolabio can reach at this point. He ever beat Guillermo Rigondeaux who's one of a good boxer, Astrolabio win via unanimous decision while Casimero only win via split decision.

Vincent's lost was early in his career, so we can say that maybe he was still too green that time or doesn't have the benefits of having a good trainer in his side. But once he matured, his career really took off and his last 3 wins is very impressive indeed, that's why now he has that opportunity to level up and become a champion in the bantamweight. And as what others mentioned, do not underestimate Filipinos as they might look weak or something, but they can deceived their opponents.

On the other hand, although Moloney has face tough opponents, he always feel short. Meaning he could not be in the caliber of elite fighters in bantamweight, more of a gate keeper boxer.

Even Jason Moloney himself knew that and that is why he didn't pushed through for the vacant WBC belt because he will be facing the Filipino Flash in that path, instead, he picked the vacant WBO where he will face Vincent Astrolabio, a not so known boxer compared to Nonito Donaire but not good to underestimate as his recent records can vouch him that Vincent is not an easy opponent to fight with.

Based from the current odds, Moloney is the early favorite of the bookies.
But yes, Moloney should not underestimate Astrolabio who is less known among the boxing community.
From his record, it seems that he has something to offer to the boxing fans.
Moloney may have chosen an easier fight but this one I believe is not so easier as Astrolabio is a Filipino boxer.
We know how they are being prepared for the fight and their motivation to win, it's all for the family.
908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pi coin on: April 28, 2023, 09:59:11 PM
I was mining this coin early but lost interest in it, I have a feeling it is a social experiment on human behaviour, some people expect this is going to make them rich which won't be the case if the team decided to launch the tokens to trade on exchanges, Billions if not Trillions of these tokens are in circulation, so for it to launch at $1, will make it more valuable than Bitcoin which for now I doubt.

I also thought this project has long been dead already.
They have issues with kyc thing and it seems that their developments never really materialize.
People should forget this project and move on. There are better ones where you don't need to disclose your private details.
We have no idea what they are doing with your KYC details. Much better to look for other worthwhile projects out there.
Ask yourself, what are the known utilities of Pi today? About their promise of providing such utilities to its holders.
909  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: IS IT SAFE TO INVEST PENSION FUNDS IN BITCOIN? on: April 28, 2023, 09:39:32 PM

I spoke to a friend about Bitcoin and he asked if it is safe to invest Pension funds in Bitcoin considering the fact that this is a retirement saving. I am skeptical of investing people's funds in this coin because it can't be predicted also we cannot overlook the fact that Bitcoin may enhance investment returns at retirement.
However, my findings from people that work in these organizations say contributor's funds in some categories can be invested in risky investments because of the high return on investment and contributors have the option to opt for this option but with the exception of the soon-to-retiree.
First of all, we should know at the first place that crypto is volatile. Investing in bitcoin is a good thing but it is your retirement or pension funds, maybe do not put all eggs in one basket. Learn to diversify your assets, investing in any kind of platform and system is already risky and there's no 100% to any of it, you just need to understand the market and the trend of that coin, sometimes you might even lose so I suggest do not invest too much, he should enjoy his saving as well.

Maybe, he can put some if he already learn the risks of getting involve in this market.
But if he doesn't know at all how this market performs, better not to.
As this is retirement funds, much better if he can invest it in more tangible assets like real-estate.
For those who will advise him to go in crypto, I hope they won't be blamed if his assets will go downward at the time of withdrawal.
910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: April 28, 2023, 08:59:39 PM
Chatgpt it's just a text generator. I don't see how it can help poker players. You can ask Chatgpt what your opponent's hand is and it will text you a completely random answer. If you want to lose your poker money as quickly as possible, ask Chatgpt how to do it.

They maybe evolving and we don't know in the future what are their capabilities.
But for now, human poker players still have the advantage over AI.
It still doesn't know a lot of human expressions, and besides, how can they have facial expressions to begin with?
But for sure AI developers will try their hands on on every game to see how they can deploy AI to gain lots of money.
And also, AI will only be for online games. They won't be in the face-to-face tournaments. So there's no worry for poker players out there.
911  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Banks really manipulates us? on: April 28, 2023, 08:28:50 PM
no bank is matrix for example if you want to move 1 million $ to another country there you will see the level of bullshit from banks a lot of rich people complain about that I prefer to save my money in bitcoin because we ourselves control our money not your key not your coin and the bank is not open anytime but bitcoin is open 24 hours I think the bank is just a place to exchange our money that's all
just my personal assumption
When it comes to storing or transferring large amounts of money, Bitcoin is probably a better alternative to traditional banks since there is no paperwork or any other headache nor there are large fees no matter how much you are transferring, and on top of everything, you will not need to be answerable to anyone for doing that.

A traditional payment institution would require you to provide proof, reasons, documents, and a lot of other things only to be able to move the money that you literally own, and that is really frustrating, to be honest.

Cheap and fast, without so many documentary requirements. I believe some people already are acknowledging such benefits.
However, the other side should also know how to deal with crypto so they won't be having problem as well.
If more and more people will discover such route, I guess, they will appreciate more the crypto market, and so further increase in demand.
But in some cases, we still need other banking services. Like handling of mortgages, time deposits and other financial services.
912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next bull market comes in June on: April 27, 2023, 09:59:13 PM
If this is about the real bullrun, this will be going on after the Bitcoin halving happening. And this will be still next year. But if this is a out a short bullrun, this may be in June, buat how long it will be, this will depend on several factors. Because moreover a short bullrun is only likely a positive trend that will probably end easily. Moreover there will be always any market correction after this stage. Because it is still likely a testing market. So, I don't think that the real bullrun will exactly happen in June this year, but probably next year or two years later. Depend on how positive the impact of Bitcoin halving later

In any case, everyone is free to express their speculation.
But not anyone can act on their prediction, most are just all talks and no actions.
So if you feel there will be upcoming bullish run, why not starting collecting more of the coins you think will be profitable?
The future of crypto market is still a mystery to us as we have no idea where will be heading next, it is only a matter of preparation on how we will react on this market.
913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: April 27, 2023, 09:44:38 PM
I'm not an expert with law, but  did he just skipped in paying off the debt he had because he's incarcerated? Does he have debts?, I'm quite sure he had, being a gambling addict automatically means you're drowning with debts.
Or does this mean, he'll have to be in jail for an extended year for not being able to pay the debts he made?
It's really crazy what people can do when they're in a desperate position, gambling have ruined a lot of lives, we're all aware of it but not everyone has the ability to control it.

As far as I understand the article, the man has a gambling debt and wants to settle everything thru gambling.

He needs money and demanded it, not to pay the debt, but rather to continue gambling and taking chances. However, even the man will get the money, he just added another crime. There's no way he will get away with that.

The level of desperation is really insane as it came to the point that he will kidnap his own family just for the sake of having money. Regardless of the reason he has, the was against the law and he needs to face the charges. I'm sure he's not just a gambling addict but maybe addicted too to other sinful activities and that results in his mind turning into trash.

When you are already too deep in gambling, you would really do anything to satisfy your desires.
If you are still thinking logically, better change your path before you go into extreme decisions.
This is why every once in a while, we should have a regular check and balance of ourselves before we go to that terrible situation.
Desperate times, desperate needs, desperate decisions. It may be insane for us, but for them, that's their only way out.
They won't be seeing clearly about their decisions. So if you want to avoid such circumstance in your life, weigh your gambling activities and see where you are at.
914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: April 27, 2023, 09:18:05 PM
If your interest has just started to grow in the sport, you shouldn't just start betting on matches so quickly. You will need to learn about every player and their performance, evaluate their previous matches and their results, and find out who are the best players who have been performing over the years and are still performing very well.

Someone should only bet on sports they have enough knowledge and experience in, so once you start growing interest in a different sport than what you generally watch and like, you should first only learn more about it. You should start researching by using Google search.

Each particular sports have their own blog discussions and even some of them have youtube channels to watch out for.
So just do a quick search about the sports you are interested with and check the sites that you think have comprehensive discussions.
In our generation, we are very lucky that we can read anything over the internet. So for me, familiarizing yourself is not so difficult.
Start betting if you think you are already confident with your choices. But if not, you are just wasting your money.
915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Expect Consistent Winnings From Gambling - A Lesson I Learnt. on: April 26, 2023, 09:49:44 PM
Not that the guy is even rich yet, not that he built a mansion or a company for business. He rented an apartment and bought two iPhones and thought the earning will be consistent.

but this is a lesson for us all to learn from.
He left his job just because of gambling. That is stupidity. There is nothing I can learn about this but to see it as stupidity.

Although you are very correct, gambling should not be seen as a business. People that see it as business and a way to make income will always end like this.
Gambling is never designed to become a job that gives consistent income, but purely for entertainment purposes only. If you have given chances to become more profitable on it, that is not because gambling is capable to give you sustainable income, but because you were just lucky every time you decide to gamble. But if those luck had totally gone, then you will never be as profitable as before. And you will more likely to experience losses than profits, if that starts to happen, it’s better to just leave gambling and call it a day.

We all know, it is easy to say such action. However, when someone is already deep on his game, he would have hard time leaving it.
But it is always good to re-assess your situation from time to time so you know where you are standing up.
It may help you evaluate your current situation and maybe, still have the logic to change your path before it is too late.
When people are too deep already, they are not thinking clearly anymore as they have other goals in mind already.
So before such challenging time comes, better alter your activities so you won't regret what might possibly happen to your life.
916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: April 26, 2023, 09:03:46 PM
There is the factor of environment though, you can't take that away from boxers who are fighting outside of their country. Might be the weather is different, the food, the people it could contributed to the fighter and it could spell the difference between winning and losing, and who knows, there could also be some home town decision for all we know. Classic example is Manny Pacquiao losing against Jeff Horn in Australia. So yeah their talents and tools might be the same when they fight outside of their country, but there are also intangibles that we need to look at.

There are factors that could affect the outcome of the fight in favor of Inoue, but if Fulton is serious about making a name for himself in the boxing industry, he needs to endure those factors and make sure he dictates the fight so he can win convincingly. Besides, this is a televised fight, and it would be a shame for Inoue's camp if he wins while it was Fulton who clearly dominated the fight.

Just imagine, on paper Inoue is the better fighter, and yet he still gets the advantage from the referees and judges?

It's not fair boxing anymore.

Japanese people are one of the honest human beings on this planet.
So I don't worry about being biased on this match, even if this will happen on Inoue's home country.
Also, with today's technology, anything can be seen to review such footages if they will try to tamper the results.
People have their own sophisticated cameras to see possible loopholes, if there's any.
So I don't think they will pull off a stunt here. Just to favor Inoue. We will see the true winner on this one, in my opinion.
917  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins, Telegram and Security on: April 26, 2023, 08:26:35 PM
I acknowledge the potential for trading Bitcoin on Telegram, as I have previously engaged in trading Ton and Ethereum on the platform. While I did come across the option to trade Bitcoin, I cannot provide a definitive assessment of its security. Additionally, I am uncertain about the platform's readiness for handling larger-scale trading activities

Maybe for convenience purposes, you can try their services. But only for small amount.
But when you start trading significant amount, better deal with actual crypto-exchange.
Because if it fails, do you really think the response will be fast on resolving issues on this platform?
Also, the rates may be high as compared to actual exchanges because you are paying for convenience on this service.
I am also hesitant using this platform when you know that they have a lot of scammers lurking around.
918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Dormant Address have been woke up, Are you worry? on: April 25, 2023, 09:44:24 PM
I know a few people sitting on a few large blocks of crypto that have been dormant for well over 10 years. If you had a lot back in the day and then broke it up into large blocks of coins (say 1000+) and then over the years moved them to spend it's really not that big a deal.

If you do a search, you can see topics similar to this coning up again and again every few months / years.
Unless people come out and tell us, and they probably won't. It's just people posting things to get clicks and or views. But, it's all 100% meaningless.

-Dave

That is true, it doesn't say much where those bitcoins are going to.
Just pure speculation and creating fud in the market, nothing solid out of it.
I don't think the owner will dump such amount of btc all at once.
Even if they will sell it in the market, it may create fud in the market only at a short time period.
The amount is not very significant to change the entire performance of the market.
919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Politicians behind the development of gambling platform on: April 25, 2023, 08:19:00 PM
It all depends on the existing law, but it should be held to prevent these politicians, I don't really want to know much about this problem maybe if in my country it is clearly prohibited besides cockfighting gambling is illegal in my country and there is already a law to criminalize anyone who are involved in gambling, we also do not close our eyes that many politicians and even government officials have income from gambling even in my country too, it's just that lately many officials have been caught red-handed for being involved in owning gambling sites.

I also thought why should involving animals in gambling that is clearly not very good, why not play in a better casino than letting animals fight to death like cockfights, that is very inhumane even as a gambler I criticize gambling like that

Involving animals like roosters and horses in betting has long been in the culture of humanity.
So there are indeed countries that are treating this type of gambling as legal and part of their culture.
However, with the involvement of politicians, it makes this gambling business more dirty in terms of operations.
They are willing to sacrifice the life of other people in order to serve their personal interest.
It is like no one should get on their way, otherwise, you will be disposed without bail. That's when this kind of business is going their worst path.
920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin overshadowed by economic lie on: April 25, 2023, 07:20:25 PM
It's unfortunate that there is still a lot of misinformation and stigma surrounding Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, preventing many people from realizing its potential as an investment opportunity. While it's true that the cryptocurrency market can be volatile, it's important to remember that any investment carries some level of risk. With the increasing adoption and mainstream acceptance of Bitcoin, it's possible that attitudes towards it will shift in the coming years.

We can't do anything about those people who are still ignorant in this market.
Not many people have the initiative to do their own diligence to inform themselves.
Some are even spreading lies or fud without substantial proof. Ignorance is the common reason why many people are still hesitant to touch this market.
We can't also force these people to learn about this currency. Only time will tell when will they realize the truth about this market.
Til then, we are lucky that in today's generation, it is quite easy to search basically anything under the sun. Just use the search button and you're good to go.
