521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries where Bitcoin is “banned” on: September 02, 2023, 09:05:36 PM
First of all, I apologize for not responding to everyone or following the topic more closely. I'm out this weekend, and with limited access to the net.

That said, I admit that the topic title is a bit clickbait.  Tongue
Despite this, in the OP I make it clear that it is in many cases about restriction.

In addition, both I and all of us here on the forum know, that Bitcoin is impossible to be banned. Since there is always a way to use it, we import the country.

As you can understand, I do not know closely the reality of all the countries mentioned, and I point out that in most of them the restrictions are more paper than in reality

What would be expected, is for the forum members of these countries to make comments on this matter. I've seen that some did, and when I can I'll comment and add information to the OP. Thanks.

It was a search I did, not only based on the article mentioned but other information I found, in a couple of hours of research. Not to mention that the information that is being found is very inaccurate.

Thank you again for your comments and notes on the reality of these countries.

That is true, those who are currently residing in those listed countries can give the reality of how crypto is being treated in their country.
Because the information that we can see over the net, may be different to what they are experiencing right now.
As this market is hard to regulate and control, people will always find a way how to go around their government protocols.
This is why this forum is great to know the actuality as we have members coming from those countries mentioned, and they can attest what is actually happening as they are still crypto users up until now.
The OP can add those information provided by those users in that list and see how each citizen is managing to deal with crypto in their respective country.
522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China crackdown against gambling streaming on: September 01, 2023, 09:59:58 PM
I am not deeply informed with China but as far as I contacted with Turk friends living around China, they say internet in China is barely usable without vpn. Like most of educated people are already using vpns. So banning them out may be not so important for group of people that know how to deal with it. But it's still bad for platforms and streams if they are making more money through gambling ads. Pretty sure gambling sponsors were paying well.
That’s because their government still wants to have control over their people, good thing is that the technology are more advance now and using VPN is a good option. Unfortunately, VPN is restricted to many platforms as well so make sure before using this, you know their TOS. Banning crypto was an old strategy with the Chinese government, we’ve seen a lot of this in the past and I think there’s still a chance for the China to change their side with crypto, they are trying to influence the market but they can’t last.

They already tried to ban the usage of crypto, but still some of its citizens are continuously using or mining crypto.
Some of them got out of their country just to continue mining crypto. And I don't think they can totally crackdown gambling.
Gambling is actually a part of their daily activities, for most of its people. So definitely, they will find out ways how to go around with it.
And as we have seen, when China announced to the world about the banning of crypto, they may have caused a sudden drop, but btc goes up again.
This showed that even China can't make bitcoin disappear in this market. And so with their gambling platforms.
523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has your Responsible Gambling had any of these Effects on You? on: August 31, 2023, 09:58:40 PM
There are pros and cons of being responsible in gambling though most of the time it will be on a positive side.
As a gambler, we all want to have fun and have some profit too and the purpose of being responsible is to free you from any greed.
Gambling can be more risky if you didn't play by the rule, I mean like you gamble out of control and you forget about your budget and your timing.
Being responsible should be your top priority to strategize first before you gamble, don't let your emotion drive you out of your way.

It all boils down to the fact that whatever you decide for yourself, you will reap the rewards afterwards.
No one will help yourself but you. So you can't blame anyone for what may possibly happen to your actions.
Being responsible won't give you any trouble later on, as you won't get addicted to this activity.
You will have clear mind on why you are playing in the first place and can easily contain yourself if you feel you are going out of the way.
524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hong Kong officially launches its first Bitcoin and crypto trading platform on: August 31, 2023, 09:32:01 PM
In light of this, what potential value will this add to the people of Hong Kong. This platform is a centralized exchange and will be regulated by the government in the country. Do you think this move is a good one for the crypto adoption there and won’t the government be so strict with the use owing that it will be regulated by them fully?

This is a good move to crypto adoption in that region since it’ll gain more use and popularity there. Privacy of ownership while trading with those platforms will be very limited. Overall, I think it is still a good development looking to the mass adoption of bitcoin we are anticipating for.
A person who uses centralized exchanges cannot be concerned about the privacy or security of their personal details and information because almost all the centralized exchanges are regulated by central authorities and they can always have all the information they require about any user if they ask a centralized exchange for it. So, I don't think that it is much of a concern if the exchange is regulated by the government as that is now a normal thing.

This can actually be a good thing if we see it from an adoption perspective since a lot of people who might have not been able to get into crypto just because of lack of accessibility will now be able to get on board using the exchange which will have a positive impact on the overall adoption level of cryptocurrencies.

Most centralized exchanges especially the local ones, are already implementing KYC to its users.
This is due to the fact that they are under the regulation of Central Bank.
And people are continuously using their services because this is one of the trusted platforms to convert their crypto to fiat and vice versa.
Hence, people are not complaining about such developments like this rather than trade with scammers that you have no assurance that you will get your money back.
525  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance is Rolling Out Copy Trading? on: August 31, 2023, 08:50:11 PM
Copy trading, allows users to replicate the trades of successful investors automatically. This simplifies investing for beginners and provides a chance to learn from experts. By mirroring the portfolio and trades of chosen traders, users can potentially achieve similar profits while expanding their financial knowledge. However, risks include potential losses and dependency on others' decisions. It's crucial for users to thoroughly research and understand the traders they're copying, considering their track record and strategy.

It is always better to do your own research on each coin you want to trade with.
For beginners, this may help. However, they should not be dependent on this kind of trading technique.
You are also copying to a human trader, so he is also prone to mistakes and misjudgments.
But in case, you will go to this route, better be smart in choosing the trader you want to copy with.
Check their portfolio or background. And then pick-up the strategies that he is possibly using.
It is not always that you need to follow these people. In time, you will know your own moves.
526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: After all these years on: August 30, 2023, 09:59:15 PM
Do you think that Bitcoin been decentralised will draw it back from becoming something like what XRP and Chain Link are achieving right now? Should we just for once shut up about Bitcoin becoming a well acknowledged payment solution and focus on it becoming only asset?
It is our main hope that Bitcoin can be accepted as a means of payment everywhere. but this will not be easy to do. Maybe one day everything will change and Bitcoin will be accepted, but I don't know when. Because after all, it is still struggling right now, Bitcoin is still struggling to be accepted in all places and everyone in the world, even if only as an investment tool or trading activity. However, Bitcoin still has a long way to go and still stretches wide. It's a matter of time. Maybe it won't be easy, but it's not impossible. Maybe not 100%, but at least a large part of it.

Right now, the volatility factor is the main reason why people are going into this market.
So it is more on like investment opportunity, because the high volatility will give them a chance of profits.
But once this market stabilizes its price, I believe, that's when we will start seeing a lot of merchants accepting this as one of the payment methods.
Because right now, that's the concern of most merchants, the volatility aspect of this currency.
527  Economy / Gambling / Re: Concept of Halal Casino on: August 30, 2023, 09:35:34 PM
Did you not watch the video yourself before posting it here? Because if you do, he explains everything very clearly, and at no point in the video, he says anything about a halal casino. What he talked about in the video about casinos was that there are some regions where you can get halal food and even praying places inside the casinos, so some people say that when you are gambling, you are already sinful so you shouldn't care about halal food or praying as well.

So he explains that it is a very wrong concept where a person thinks that if he is committing one sin, he should commit other sins too but one should at least try to reduce the sins they are committing. So even if a person is gambling, he should eat food that is haram or should skip his prayers.

Maybe people are saying different things here because the title of the OP is misleading if they haven't watched the video itself.
When it comes to this practice, it entirely depends on the person if he believes on this concept or not, or if he wants to live up to this belief.
If he wants to be loyal to his religion, he will do things that he thinks is necessary to reduce the supposedly "sins" he will commit upon entering a casino.
Just like mentioned, at least eat food that is halal or pray. Whatever he chooses, depends on the person himself as you can't enforce such practice to any Muslim or person. Respect is needed and the important thing is you don't step on anyone's toes.
528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sweat coin. Is this real? on: August 30, 2023, 08:56:19 PM
This looks funny, obviously it is a scam because how will you not take part in their service and they will send you 500usd,nah it is impossible. One thing with these airdrops is that it has been taken over by scamming companies, who deceive people to promote their scam project for them.

The painful thing is that you wouldn't even know that you are promoting a scam project until when you yourself is been scammed by the company, that is when they don't pay you for your service of ads you did for them or they will ask you to pay some fee to claim the amount.

The usual problem here is that before you get those airdrop tokens, you need to send some ETH or TRX.
As seen from the OP, the team behind this is also collecting valuable alts in exchange of their token.
There is SWEAT ECONOMY that has been trading in Kucoin and other exchanges, don't know it is the same one.
Need to check their contract address if it is the same, if not, it may very well a fake one trying to screw naive users.
529  Economy / Economics / Re: Is market manipulation a common occurrence everywhere? on: August 29, 2023, 09:57:44 PM
I think it is an idea that answers itself as we grow and become educated as individuals, both academically and in life training, that is, market manipulation exists and unfortunately it seems that it will always be like that.

Now, to the specific idea of what kind of people do it,  it has to do with governments, companies basically and from there some names stand out, but in general it is something known as the establishment.

In the crypto world there is everything now, from that old school and a group of individuals who present various forms of manipulation, sometimes with a simple "x". ( tweet, e.g. )

And they can do such manipulation if the market is small, they only need to inject small amount of money to make waves.
This type of action is everywhere, where a certain group or individuals is seeing they can take advantage of the situation.
I guess, it stemmed from the human nature, of being greedy. They will jump as soon as they see window of opportunity.
And we have seen a lot in alts with small trading volume. If they will put thousands of dollars, they can easily make it look like they gained 100-1000% of the price. But people should be very cautious on this type of movement as they can get screwed fast.
530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How late is too late to place a bet for a gambler? on: August 29, 2023, 09:24:39 PM
I have no problem with betting late or changing my bet I have mixed results sometimes I get it right and sometimes I get it wrong, I always change my bet or have late bets usually from bets that I'm not sure of but if I am 100% % sure of my bets I never change my mind.
You'll have to be confident on bets that you analyze changing your bets shows otherwise, last minutes bets are for bets that you are not sure of and there's a possibility of changing it, some bettors are doing it and it a case to case basis but I do have some bets that I am confident of, but thinking of changing it but did not but end up the one I suppose to be its replacement is the one that comes out.
The most important thing is you never cry on spilled milk.

That is true, if you have the feeling that your bet will likely to win, then go for it.
Or if not, if the bookie is allowing you to cash out, then do so.
There are several times that I did such, cash out, even if I couldn't get all the bet money.
At least, I know, I am not losing all those funds to a losing bet. This strategy depends on your instincts.
As long as the bookie is allowing you to place bet or cash out, then do what you think is best for your money.
531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A person who won 600k$ in lottery on: August 29, 2023, 08:46:27 PM

Mismanagement is something common when it comes to people who win the lottery and spend their money on nothing, I mean they're just spending it in literally bullshit. Like one could carefully consider how to use that money productively but most of them, they don't. To be honest there are many good ways to invest such earnings in projects or even in Bitcoin, rather than spending it in some stuffs that won't give you a good advantage in life.

Perhaps due to the way of easy money, gamblers tend to make impulsive purchases without thoughtful planning on how to use the funds. Consequently, they end up spending it all on items that add no real value to their lives.

And it is already too late when they realized they have done such purchases that are unnecessary.
They are enjoying the moment of their winnings, but very few are looking forward for the future.
Hence, they tend to have lavish lifestyle rather than plan for long-term survival.
Such winning amount was usually their dream to change their life, however, once they got it, they forgot what they need
to do in order to really change their path. Maybe a gambler will always be a gambler.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oleksandr Usyk VS Daniel Dubois For The Undisputed heavyweight champion on: August 28, 2023, 07:42:36 PM
I don’t think it was a low blow. The rules state anything at the navel or above is a legal shot & I believe it was. It was a legitimate body shot, Usyk was hurt and faked a low blow. It’s gamesmanship, borderline cheating but it is what it is. Winners will do whatever they can to win.

Dubois was effectively robbed of a win and a place as a world champion. The fight just further convinces me that Usyk is a cruiserweight fighting at heavyweight. Tyson Fury is going to destroy him when they meet.

https://youtu.be/a85RLi8XMmE?si=Lgj6x0Luq4eiFSZc
Here is a video where Usyk shows where his navel is.
https://streamable.com/naf2mz
Here is the video of the blow. It seems obvious to me that the blow hits the area where the abdominal muscles already narrow into the groin area and this is exactly below the navel.

In general, it is rather strange to talk about a robbery when one of the boxers was completely declassed and lost by knockout, based on one dirty blow.

With how things went on this match, we can expect that Dubois' camp may ask for a re-match with Usyk.
This controversy won't just die down without getting a solid confirmation that Usyk really wins over Dubois.
Some individuals like Frank Warren (English promoter) are even calling this match as a "no contest" and ask for a rematch.
But with such controversy, this will be a good marketing propaganda to gain high interest from the boxing fans.
They can even earn huge purse split if they will make their re-match happen and capitalize this major controversy.
Let us see how both camps will react on this matter and if they are up to this request from the community.
533  Economy / Economics / Re: Good and Bad at the same time - Mega entities hold $ 14 billions in Bitcoin on: August 28, 2023, 06:47:33 PM
That's a lot of money they are holding, but the overall market value of BTC is around 509 billion dollars, and compared to that, these $14 billion dollars are nothing. But the thing that puts some pressure on the community is the bankruptcy and downfall of these three exchanges. As a lot of people are using these exchanges. The trading volume of these exchanges is huge, and their downfall could put the market in the hands of manipulators.

One more thing: can we really say for sure that these entities are the biggest BTC holders because there are people who are totally under the radar and no one knows about them?

I think it’s more on bad side since the distribution of supply is prone to manipulation. This company is holding Bitcoin for personal gain while the market will be heavily affected in case something bad happened to them just like what you stated or if they started to take profit.
Having more BTC in a few people's hands does generate manipulation, but the market is open to everyone, and they have the full authority to sell and buy BTC. But in my opinion, these BTC they are holding are the golden eggs or Gloden Goose, and why would they kill the golden goose? While they could get golden eggs from it. If they lose the BTC, then they are the dumbest people, but they could also buy it again.

Such amount from these top holders are indeed small as compared to the overall market value of BTC.
However, as you said, any bankruptcy from any of these big companies will surely put some wave on the market.
It may not be long lasting but at such point, it will make a mark. And will give some disturbance for such time.
We have seen a lot of ups and downs in this market, and yet, btc always come back to where it was, and still growing stronger.
It may be owed to the fact that the existence of this market is not dictated by any big company, or any government or authority.
Hence, it can stand independently from all these entities surrounding this market. No any group can topple this market.
534  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅ 0✘BET | Casino & Sportsbook | NO KYC ' Fast Payouts! 🎲⚽ on: August 28, 2023, 05:49:20 PM
~snip~
Thanks for providing those screenshot. Maybe the withdrawal confirmation email was an automated system which was sent to you by mistake. They haven't processed your withdrawal as it is still marked as pending on your transaction history. You should reach their email support (support@0x.bet) to get accurate information about your issue. Live support agents aren't the best option to solve all the issues. Have you reached their email support yet?

Haha well email is almost worse....
https://pasteboard.co/oPmOseYjSMr5.png
Here they state that it was approved by the financial department(Still says pending in transaction) and it can take 1-3 business days to reach my bank?
ITS A CRYPTO WITHDRAWAL, there is no bank, and its TRON, which is almost instant.

With the first 2 withdrawals there wasnt any issues..., so it feels like excuses.

With this kind of experience, I am guessing, you won't play on this site after you got your funds from them.
This is a not-so-good experience, which is understandably like waiting in vain and you don't know what will come in between.
Tron is one of the alts, supposedly easier to handle when it comes to transactions, so yes, you would wonder why such fuss from them.
I hope the team here would be much more responsive when it comes to this issue because some players are reading on their thread,
and it will give a bad impression for them to try on this site.
Feedback is very important for some gamblers, and a strong basis won't just go away. They need to see improvement when it comes to handling issues.
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: August 28, 2023, 05:22:59 PM
I've been in some nice betting groups in the past where the tipsters were actually good. Nowdays I have the feeling everyone is trying to be a tipster (even when they are bad)
They are just doing guesses and gambling with people's money...
I also think that, it doesn't matter if they know or don't know, these people like to play and place their bets using other people's money, for that reason it seems to me quite dangerous to trust groups like that, because we don't know the trajectory of what the predictions make and we don't know what they can get away with, what I know very well is that every time they lose they say that they will recover from those, that nothing happens, etc., but it does happen in reality because when things happen they lose money are very delicate, so the excuses are superfluous, I know that losing is normal, but that is why you have a sports and betting group, so as not to lose.

Hard to trust this kind of group because they are using someone else's money.
And definitely, they will say something just to appease their clients.
But we don't know what will be their final goals on this endeavor.
Because their target is to get money as much as they can, out of these people.
These days, very hard to find a legit group of this kind, where they are very cautious of what they will suggest,
or that because they are thinking of the trust that people are giving to them.
Much better if you will do your own analysis, with this practice, you will gain more insights about the game.
536  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] SportScore.io Live Sport Analytics For your Sport Bets! on: August 28, 2023, 12:36:09 PM
Welcome to the forum SportScore.io!

To be honest the UX is really bad because I can't sort the league based on my own or searching the specific league I wanted to bet, so someone who want to bet need to scroll down to find the league based on A to Z.

I checked the odds, the odds in your sportsbook is smaller than the other bookie, you need to create something big if you want to compete against the current big casinos.
Hello thank for the comment, a search feature will be up next update.
We push updates every week, once our sport booking feature is up we will have bound and welcome gifts and more to come! Stay tuned

And additional sports as well. What is your next in line after football?
Also, add FAQ tab so we know what this site is for and other features that you may want to offer in the future.
For now, you may be offering a unique aspect of sports. Let us see if bettors here will try to use your services once up and running.
You have a lot to launch on our site, but so long you are adding more features as well as listening some of the valid suggestions, you can get some loyal patrons from this forum. So good luck in your journey here.
537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is always a Bull for Some Group and Bear to Others. on: August 27, 2023, 11:48:33 PM
Bull and bear Market is much about the prevailing economic situation around the world. This gets connected with all forms of growth happening around as well as the employment opportunities created. The real bull market can be experienced based on the money circulation happening around. When it is bullish it is possible to see good volume of money invested by the people and when it is bearish people tend to stay on the safer side and investments won't be much. Its not bull for some and bearish for the others.

As we have no concrete definition for these seasons, we are left to speculate what period we are in.
And it depends on how you view the market. This is why, people have their own versions of bull and bearish season.
But whatever the market is in, one should know how to take advantage of the opportunity that presents to him.
Because if someone is waiting for the bearish season to buy a specific alt, that period may not come at all.

538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: presuring someone into Bitcoin investment on: August 27, 2023, 09:59:07 PM
Preaching does not guarantee that you will get a positive response from your listener. You are there to preach and educate someone, and not to put force trying to manipulate someone’s mind. That is why never anticipate things in advance. Some are just still doubtful about crypto and you can’t do nothing about it but give them enough time to think and evaluate if crypto can be good or bad for them. Whatever their choices, you have no in control with that. But as long as you know that crypto has high potentials to be successful in the future, hopefully your listener can also perceive what you are trying to anticipate.

Definitely, using force is not the best method to let someone sees the real potential of any investment.
You can share what you know, but let the person grasp what you just said, and in his own time, he will ponder on things.
This is why, it is not advisable to pressure someone to buy in this market if they are not totally ready for it.
You may be blamed if the results are not of their expectations. They will have their own realizations as well.
Just like when you preach, don't expect everybody will listen or hear what you are saying. But be thankful if somebody does.
539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Appromixly how much time needs to recover BNB $310 price on: August 27, 2023, 09:46:23 PM

I have brought more than 4 BNB when it's price on around $307. after, that SEC call break the market. but, i'm still holding and i don't know it's future probility. so, it's dead or again it will recover?
afterall, how much it will take it to recover?

Currently, the BNB price is around $218.61. Maybe the rate is not too far away, but it still takes time to recover. And this won't be easy. Because, Bitcoin still has its ups and downs and it's not certain that it will continue to rise as long as it's still a bearish season or this transition. But at least, be more patient. for you have waited long enough, and be patient a little longer. At least we hope that the bullish era will start moving next year or at its maximum in 2025. Then you will get a price more than that rate. I'm sure of that, because after all, BNB is a promising coin. But still, consider the various risks.

No one can tell you when will it recover. However, the chance of recovery to $300 has higher possibility.
Because we are talking about top alt, it is only a matter of time to see such range of price.
However, while waiting, better do other activities such as look for other valuable alts as you may missed some good opportunities.
If you will focus on this alt, you may end up losing a lot and not see other chances of recovering your investments.
540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can money be saved in gambling sites? on: August 27, 2023, 08:57:28 PM
I don't even know if a casino would allow you to just keep your account idle while it's having money, they might even ask you to withdraw the money if you are not using the platform, even if they don't, what if something goes wrong like the platform gets hacked or maybe your account gets compromised?

Yeah, Casino has rule about this on their ToS that they have the right to freeze, confiscated or lock the money inside the casino wallet if there’s no activity done on the account for a certain period of time. This is a clear sign thay casino doesn’t want to be use as storage instead all money should be withdrawn when you are not using it.

There’s an exemption to this if the casino has the feature to invest on bankroll.

This is the problem if a player decides to leave some of his funds inside the casino.
There are casinos that they will charge the player if the account is inactive for certain number of months.
So better transfer your money to your own wallet if you will not be playing anytime soon.
It is like giving your money to these casinos if you happen to have long pause about your gambling activity.
