201  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why Binance exchange delisting the crytop currencies and the sport trade pairs on: December 07, 2023, 11:43:34 PM
Binance had notified users regarding the delisting. Same time the BUSD is getting conversion to FUSD. It looks like kind of marketing plans and I'm not sure of it. Lets wait and see as they've provided detailed schedule on delisting of trading pairs along with BUSD as well as requested users to convert to other assets or it gets automatically converted to FUSD on 1:1 ratio after the specified time period.

I think this is just normal action of a crypto exchange if they are seeing some disadvantages on their end.
So long they are informing their users and not just implementing the delisting of a particular pair without the knowledge of their traders.
Definitely, they are seeing some valid reasons not to continue its trading, it may be operational expenses, low trading volume among others.
202  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID is dead, "long live the new COVID". World economy get ready? on: December 07, 2023, 11:22:14 PM
Is this the walking pneumonia they'd been talking about in the news lately? Kinda scary if you'd ask me. Although it's been known to be a less serious form of the disease pneumonia, the fact that it's still contagious and you could pass it to someone else with just as little as a droplet of saliva is what makes me scared about it. I say we let the scientists do the work first to figure out if this is any cause for major concern, but if it were, we might have to stay indoors and live our lives like a hermit once again.

For the meantime, stay less outside, make sure you wear facemasks, and for the love of god worry about the economy after you've made yourself safe.

So we are not yet out of using masks. I guess this is indeed the new normal these days.
We always need to wear mask in order to protect ourself from unnecessary contagious diseases.
Also, as much as possible, don't go in crowded places where you have no idea what you can catch around.
It is not that you are paranoid, but there's no harm done if you are just taking care of yourself.
203  Economy / Economics / Re: Do brands that take sides on divisive issues lose market share? on: December 07, 2023, 10:59:02 PM
That happens, when these companies have issues, the stock/share holders are acting quickly because they know that the market sentiment changes overtime quickly.

When the company itself does something wrong or one of their endorsers do, it's a domino impact and the sentiment of the entire market is being seen to react whether the incident is good or not.

If you're an investor, actually it's a good indicator and you get to have the idea how it goes. And that is why it's important to check every issue that happens globally.

Those market insights are very good indicators on what may possibly happen to the stock market.
So if you are into stocks, keeping your eyes open to this kind of news would be very helpful in your portfolio.
This is why most brands are careful in taking sides or expressing their support to any political or social drama.
It can easily have an impact on their market performance and so losses in just a snap.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon said he would close Bitcoin down if he was in government on: December 07, 2023, 10:28:29 PM
Now, that people know his stance on bitcoin, for sure bitcoin enthusiasts will never support him so he won't be seen gaining a position in the government. His stance on bitcoin shows a lot of hatred, that's why I came to think what is there in fiat that he needs to protect it just like himself. If he's running a monkey business with fiat, then it's obvious why he's behavior towards bitcoin is like that.

But this is just his part of the plan. And we still don't see him in the government yet, so this still remains an illusion for him.

By now, he should already know that no one can totally shutdown bitcoin operations because of its decentralized nature.
So yes, it will just be an illusion for him. And the possibility of changing his stance in the future will always be there.
Because if this technology goes to mainstream, it means, he will encounter people or businesses that are into this market, and he can't totally avoid them.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: December 07, 2023, 10:00:54 PM
Getting rich from sports betting sounds impossible, but many gamblers have succeeded in doing that, some have even succeeded in building their own house from gambling, but not everyone can get luck like this, especially since gambling is something that really depends on luck, gambling will always happen continues to be tempting, but everyone who wants to gamble must be aware that the mere pursuit of victory in gambling leads many people astray and in the end many people end up losing/going bankrupt instead of making a profit.
Among many gamblers around the world, there should be some gamblers who succeed in betting. Sure, those successful gamblers can build houses, buy cars, have some lands, and many other things. However, we don't deny that there are also many gamblers who failed in gambling. Since it is about luck, not everyone can have the same luck. If all gamblers have the same luck, no chance for the gambling sites or casinos to survive. So, we must keep in my mind that we must always think logically. Although becomes rich isn't impossible in gambling, but the chance for losing money is also very open in gambling. Just gambling with reasonable amount of money, don't be easily influenced by the success story of few gamblers!!

Only few will succeed since extreme luck came to them and it so good if they bought house also other important think since we can see them improve but if they use it om gambling again and got broke I guess this is not a wise decision they have done. But also other fail because they didn't manage everything well that's why they encounter huge loss and continuously there stash is dropping since they bet abusively without thinking any precautions since they think consistency beat any odds that's why they continue on what things they do.

It is not impossible to get rich in sportsbetting as there several known sportsbettors who got rich on this activity.
However, it would take years and years of experience to know and learn about a particular sports and be successful with your bets.
Actually, this is one of the few facets in gambling that you can really earn good money and not only basing from your luck but your knowledge as well.
But of course, if you don't know how to manage your finances even after winnings, you will end up broke in any gambling games.
206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Money laundering in crypto casino on: December 06, 2023, 11:47:48 PM
We all know the recent issue about the mixer status here in the forum. Crypto casino is also being use for money laundering by some criminals that’s why every casino has AML policy.

I’m just curious what will be the fate of crypto casino once money laundering activity from mixer will jump to casino now that mixer will not be advertised here which means it has less exposure. Is there any possibility that crypto casino will be seized by the government just like what happened to mixers in case they failed to screen the laundering activity?

I mean it's natural for criminals to use Amy method to wash money.  Mixers are easy targets and for the most part there is no legal reason to use them so it's easy Pickens.  For casinos most of it I would imagine is clean money but there isn't much a casino could do.  I couldn't see them being "seized".  It's like brick and mortar casinos, tons of dirty money plays there but there really isn't anything a casino can do.

The major difference with mixers and casinos is that casinos can require from their players the KYC requirements.
This is why mixers are the target of government authorities because they don't have strict protocols with respect to AML, hence, laundering is very possible.
Whereas, licensed casinos and bookies have their AML/KYC protocols in their terms and conditions. So at least authorities are at bay with this business.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra Luna Questions on: December 06, 2023, 11:22:51 PM
They do lose and gain value over time, a couple of days ago, USTC and LUNC were rising a bit, however, they lost the trust they had before and people only use them for very short terms just to gain small percentages of profit now.

Coincidentally, some time ago we saw that the movement was quite good, but now it has dropped slightly. If we look at it, it seems like they lack focus and expect too much from buyers. I'm just arguing that if they want to speed up and gain market confidence, do a pump when the price is corrected, even though it's not deep.

Let us admit that this project already lose confidence of most community members.
They are only for short-term gains so to speak as it is hard to hold it for long-term anymore.
I guess most trader of these project are only hyping up so they can get good profits.
Not really believing that they have reason to survive. But only because they are still gaining from it.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cristiano Ronaldo get 1 billion dollars lawsuit for his NFT failure on: December 06, 2023, 10:12:34 PM
Seeing this news tells a lot about modern investors, they're just investing cause of the money not for the knowledge.

It's not surprising that many of the investors of CR7's NFT is just all about buying it because it was his name that's embedded on it and there was a partnership with Binance. This teaches a lot of lesson for those that have bought it and what they get for buying it? Nothing.
They just have to wait until the price goes up and CR7 wasn't even aware of what's the crypto scene and this lawsuit that he's got for, well, what a messy thing that he's got into this partnership.
Because of the cristiano Ronaldo image on the project is the major reason why most of those who pumped in huge sum in investment into this token did so without doing any personal due diligence to know whether or not the NFT project will succeed or not,  and also many of them also got greedy along the way with the way and manner at which their blindly trusted the speculated listing price of the NFTs so for sure,  we can't blame the star player unless he is part of the team.

But if only he is paid to just promote the project and with a crypto disclaimer as not an investment advice,  that way he may have a case in the court and can possibly avoid this law suit,  and many time also he may not even visit the court room if he has strong legal team to represents him in court, let see how thing goes with the case and what we except to see as the next development with this case.

But looking at this lawsuit, I don't think this will end successfully. I mean for the one who is suing Ronaldo.
This will take years and years and won't see those billions from Ronaldo because for sure he has good lawyers already into it.
They will find loopholes, technicalities or whatever they will find just to stop this drama. This won't go far in my opinion.
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling are mainly for rich and lucky mind. on: December 06, 2023, 09:23:19 PM
I will not call it a "lucky mind" but rather a "positive mind" ...

People with a positive attitude obviously take more bold risks than people with a negative attitude. Yes, lucky people can also become rich with a single big jackpot win, but those people can also take too many big risks and lose all that money.

People should just take calculated risks in gambling.. within limits, then you will be successful.  Wink
Taking calculated risks should be the norm and not the exception, there are many people that avoid investing in bitcoin because they think that it is too risky, however if we follow that logic then everything entails some level of risk and as such we should never do everything with our lives, so the right way to deal with this situation is to control the risks that we take, so in the case things go in the wrong direction we can still deal with it without any issues.

And the risks involved when it comes to gambling is very different. You will be more on the losing side.
I can go for the risks when you invest on btc, but when you are in gambling, you have to consider that the money spent here is already lost.
Gambling is all for walks of life, so long you know your boundaries and up to when you will deplete your resources.
210  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Crypto Exchange Moves Money for Gaza Groups on: December 06, 2023, 08:47:28 PM
It's inevitable that Russia will get caught doing such things. They are getting their ass kicked by their neighbor, in a completely unnecessary war, where hundreds of thousands of their soldiers have been killed and wounded - plus large parts of their most advanced equipment have been wiped out. Now they are left trying to fund Islamic extremists who would target Russia in two seconds as infidels, because they don't hold the same values at all. It is the most desperate of actions by Putin, a man who has ran out of tricks to pull out of his hat, which was empty a long time ago. The biggest mistake Putin made was shattering the illusion that Russia was powerful, it is a shambles of a country getting poorer by the day and making enemies for no reason except one mans greed.

The Russia-Ukraine war showed us the reality of the extent of power of Russia.
And it is saying that they reality is they don't have that power to conquer even a small country like Ukraine.
This is why their actions are now like suicidal. They are running out of weaponry as well as soldiers.
More than likely, their economy is already down this time but their leader keeps on pushing their limits.
The funding to Gaza groups may not come a surprise because they seem to be playing a game where everyone around the world is their enemy.
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Keeping Numbers Or You Allow The Machine To Pick Your Numbers To Bet on: December 06, 2023, 12:12:27 PM
Anyone playing such kind of bet knows that they must have numbers of theirs that can be added to from others or the board.
I never liked playing such Lottery unless it is online bet and it's on a selected occasion still.

I don't see any difference between allowing the machine to pick numbers versus the current application of AI bots in gambling or betting apps that have odds. It's practically allowing another intelligence do the thinking while we simply go with the flow or opt to go with our own numbers.

I, on the other hand, just bet on occasional basis. If I feel the numbers are lucky.
Though I really don't have fix numbers but most of the time, the numbers that I bet have meaning in my life.
But in my experience, I have the feeling that I will never be lucky so not really serious on this one.
I just take it as extra funds that I can dispense without worry. Not expecting anything out of it.
212  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Precautions For Safety This Yelutide Season on: December 05, 2023, 11:58:39 PM
I think it's not just the festive period alone, we're at the time when scammers flood the space with many fake projects. As the market is getting bullish, there's going to be more newcomers trooping into the crypto space and scammers use the opportunity to launch many fake projects hoping to scam unsuspecting inventors. Some persons, especially newbies may be tempted at the prospect of investing in a project that promises to yield x100 with few months, only for them to get scammed after investing.

As bitcoin is more than 40k now, there will be a lot of scammers on the loose trying to jump on this situation.
Actually, there's no season for scammers, so long there are gullible users who will take the bait.
But when bitcoin or crypto market is getting much interest because of the rising prices, and so the number of scammers.
This is why everyone should be aware of what they do over the net. You can't expect anyone to think of how you feel when you are duped.
213  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are bitcoin investors violators? on: December 05, 2023, 11:41:23 PM
Bitcoin is still very illegal in many countries and to many governments, but in many of these countries, what is surprising is that you will still find investors in bitcoins who are going against the government and secretly buying and investing in bitcoins. An example of some of these people are members in this forum, so I am want to ask a personal question, do you think of yourself as a bad citizen for disobeying the government? Do you agree that you are a violator for breaking the law?

I am not residing in your country and my country see Bitcoin as a mode of payment so basically my country sees Bitcoin as legal and does not see Bitcoin users as violators.  So the answer to your question is subjective.

But in general, if the government announces that Bitcoin engagement is illegal, then any person who is engaging with Bitcoin whether discretely or openly is labeled as violator.  Depending on the country's law, they will be punished if caught accordingly.

Quote
Now see things from a religious side as well, by disobeying the government and investing in bitcoins, are you committing the sin of direct disobedience?

In my country, there is a clear statement of separation of state and religion.  As long as the person is not committing any act that go against the Holy Scriptures, then that person is not sinning. As far as I know buying Bitcoin and trading with it is not written as a sin in any Holy Scripture...  and if you find a direct statement that tells that buying Bitcoin is a sin, then I would gladly stop engaging with Bitcoin activities.

The technology itself is not illegal, only the persons who are using it for illegal activities.
So we should not blame bitcoin or blockchain technology because of these fraudulent acts.
Just like fiat money, it is being used also to anything illegal. And the scammers are just finding another option to screw people.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $40k Price Target Achieved on: December 05, 2023, 09:44:59 PM
Bitcoin is currently priced at $43k and I must say that the market is very positive right now that those who have invested at $25k are already in good profits if they decide to sell. But definitely, now is not the best time to sell but to buy more either because there are high chances that bitcoin price could even grow more until bitcoin halving comes. Hopefully, we will have a very merry Christmas weeks from now as long as the market continues to be bullish even more.

However, what we see right now does not guarantee that bitcoin price has no chances to drop. Of course, we should be always open for that, but it would be more advantage for us if what we see is price continuously moves up.

Finally, we are more than 40k level. People are in positive vibes because of this recent development.
But the fees are still high, maybe the volume of transactions are also quite high because of this price level.
The hope of seeing the new ATH before this year ends is getting stronger, however, one should be conservative if his money on the line is his life's savings or for basic expenses.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think voting for Bitcoin to become a legal tender was the plan? on: December 05, 2023, 09:04:20 PM
It was design to a payment scheme, borderless.  I think that is the main plan of Satoshi. However, things have change since them, we have Mt. Gox in the beginning or even the the first exchange "New Liberty Standard".

So there are a lot of transformation along the way that maybe Satoshi didn't imagine in the beginning. Now we have a country that uses it as a legal tender. However, I don't think that Bitcoin will be the legal standard around the world though, we still have the traditional fiat like USD and others as the world currency.

High likely that Satoshi's vision has been surpassed already. This currency has achieved a lot already.
And now, some countries are even considering it as their legal tender.
The payment scheme has been achieved and it is becoming mainstream. More and more people are acknowledging its capability in this sector.
The adoption that Satoshi wanted I guess has been achieved long time ago. And still growing stronger.
216  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 🎄Xmas Sleigh Race for $800 000 | 🎁Collect gifts all the way! on: December 05, 2023, 08:18:24 PM
The BetFury team like I noticed stopped responding to issues being discussed on this thread for quite a long time now, and the reason, I can't really tell, maybe they feel that what is being talked about concerning BFG is not relevant enough to gain their attention, or probably they just dont care.
What ever be their reason for not responding here, that is up to them but the honest truth is that, their silence aren't helping since there are still some BFG holders from this forum and on this thread as well.

With Bitcoin currently above $40,000, now is the best time to start marketing BFG to potential investors, in preparation for the bull run, but unfortunately, it seems like the team really do not care about the welfare of the token in terms of growth and price.
I feel like that was mainly because the more you spend time here, the more requests you get, and ı do not mean like valid requests, I mean literally "please I am very poor I lost my money here, you do not understand, I can't eat food if I do not get that money back" and request their fairly lost money, or say like it was their son or brother or something.

I know that sounds weird and unlikely to you, but as someone who has worked in the industry for a while, I can tell you that there are plenty of people like that, probably at least once a week, maybe more. This is why many representatives of casinos here end up leaving or just sharing information and not chatting after a while, only a few stay and keep doing their work.

But looking at the OP's profile, it seems that he goes online and maybe check this thread for important matters.
If there is really urgent and pressing matter, I believe they will respond as they already survive this long.
Or you can also send him pm if you have valid request if their online support in the site is not responding or taking care of your issue.
Looking their thread title as well, you can tell that they are updating also their followers here in the forum with their current promo.
217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I learnt from a crackhead about gambling on: December 05, 2023, 07:45:41 PM
Addiction is not being in control of an habit. It is a self-annihilating behaviour that makes you do things and be in situations that you normally would not. Unlike gambling, drug addiction is not normalize and anyone who is found with a drug can be jailed but no one will be locked up for gambling unless of course you become a threat to other gamblers in the casino and wants to cause a breakdown of law and order. Gambling addiction is easier to fix compare to drug addiction. I think drug addiction is worse because you can overdose on a drug and die but you cannot overdose on gambling and die.

Drug addiction is fatal if taken abusively, whereas, gambling addiction is only fatal to your financials.
You can easily get out of gambling if you do want to, however, hard to get out from drug addiction if your brain is already damaged by the drugs.
So yes, I can also say that drug addiction is worse than gambling. Your putting your life in a terrible and fatal situation.
But of course, do remember that both addiction is bad for you. You can gamble but should know your limits especially if you have financial problems.
218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Parental Guild on Bitcoin on: December 04, 2023, 11:57:54 PM
Bitcoin is a type of currency, and children should learn to manage money. Of course, it would be extremely unwise to give a child access to big amounts of money, and in an event of loss of that money, I think the blame should be on the parent.
But making a fresh Electrum wallet for a child, teaching a child (a young teenager, I'd say) to store a passphrase, to send money and generate a Bitcoin address is a good idea. There shouldn't be any significant money there in case a child makes a mistake and the money's gone, but I don't see harm in, say, $10 being there, under the kid's control. As for centralized exchanges, I believe they're 18+ to not dive into the differences of legislation in different countries.
In a normal circumstances we have to teach our children cryptocurrency especially bitcoin and teaching your children bitcoin, it should be the ones that have passion on bitcoin, its nice that we are not supposed to force our kids to learn bitcoin, from my own perspective it's unwise from my understanding.

Even though your children agree to learn bitcoin I think their is some certain secrets in bitcoin savings that we are to supposed to share with our children we are teaching bitcoin because of security purposes, like now I want us to know that wallet should be the most important thing we should teach our children and from my knowledge and understanding, we are not supposed to let our child to know a our seed phrase or a seed phrase that contains the wallet he or her bitcoin is, because of security purposes, teach them the difference between centralization and decentralization of bitcoin properly to comprehend.

There's a possibility that a kid can learn on how this market works.
Because there are really intelligent kids who can understand complex ideas and transactions.
Just like most adults who are into crypto, we also learn from scratch and so are kids.
Sometimes they are easy to teach as they have curious minds and they are more patient in learning.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin Bar in Sofia, Bulgaria looks Interesting on: December 04, 2023, 11:21:28 PM
Most of the bitcoin users have the mind to have a business with bitcoin theme, but very few go for it whereas the majority don't execute plans for different reasons. Most common reason being the fear, because very few countries have regulated the usage whereas the majority hadn't announced anything official. This means there'll be fear, as the  government might take action against them.

Often we were able to similar businesses popping out around different parts of the world. Most common business seen around with bitcoin themes were the cafe, food chain and bar. This is good, because it is the common place where people often have their meetups.

Definitely, these people already did their homework and I think Bulgaria is one of the countries that are open to this market.
As they have large stacks of bitcoin as seized way back in 2017, I have the feeling that they will be more welcoming to btc.

https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/a-seized-bitcoin-stack-could-be-bulgarias-golden-ticket

So no surprise if more and more Bulgarians will be setting-up their crypto-related businesses in their country.
In which of course, it will contribute to further adoption of crypto in their area. If people will find it convenient, they will surely recommend it to others.
220  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you pay for signals? And how much ? on: December 04, 2023, 10:25:41 PM
Dlyou pay for signals? And how much ?
What's your monthly expenses for trading signals? Yearly?
I don't pay but i read alot people pay for signals so how good results If this ?
I avoid purchasing cryptocurrency signals because in my experience  a significant number of them lack accuracy, which makes relying on such signals less reliable for making informed decisions in the volatile crypto market.
There is not need for us to keep paying for signal for us to make profits from the market. There are different free trading groups we can join on telegram that woud enlightened us on what crypto token is about to be pumped and dumped. This is one of the ways people make profits from the market and we need to try it out. There are also crypto whales group we can joined too that would help us to make profits from the market without borders.

Soon enough people will realize that they are just wasting resources on signals because it will just exhaust their funds.
Even paid signals are not a guarantee that you will get profits because most of the time, only the owners are the ones benefiting from it.
There is no known profitable signal up until now. It means, they are not really useful when you want to dedicate yourself in trading.
